Really bad. Got seated quick enough when we arrived but waited 25 minutes for our drinks which was a bottle of beer and a coke. 25 minutes is a long time when just sitting at a table trying to get someone's attention. The people next to us were waiting even longer. Didn't get asked about allergies even though the receipt said we had (my wife has a diary allergy.) Good job she knows what to order. Lots of other unhappy customers. Wouldn't waste your time or money. Had to go and ask for the bill as server more interested in doing anything other than talk to the customers. This is my a cheap place to eat out anymore so the service really needs to be on point. Poor.

Came here for my partners birthday. We've always enjoyed it here in the past but has gone down hill recently. My girlfriend ordered the meat feast pasta and when it came out it was very disappointing the portion size was ridiculously small with not much content 3 meatballs and 2 pieces of pepperoni It actually looked like a child's portion and at over £13 was a rip off! Garlic bread was overcooked and inedible. Won't be returning here in the future as portion control and value for money is terrible. Really didn't appreciate the waitresses whispering to each other after we complained either. Over priced overcooked rubbish.

Very disappointing double bacon and cheese burger. One of the double was burnt dry and crispy. The manager agreed it was "not usually cooked like that" and it was recooked. Nothing was removed from the bill until I asked the waitress if the manager would like to make a gesture. Fiver off. So £12 for a meal that the manager agreed was not to company standards. Not impressed.

Our meals were lukewarm. Burger and fries were tasteless and disappointing. Bolognese portion was small and had little meat in. We left feeling underwhelmed.

The service was great and can’t fault the waitress one bit. The food however was a massive let down. If I wanted cold baked beans I would have stayed at home for that. Here’s hoping management see this review and make sure the food quality gets better going forward

Haven't been here since lockdown but as ever great food at good prices. We had the lunch menu which was very good as was the red wine!

Haven't been here for ages. We were in time for the lunch menu which runs until 3pm. We had two courses for £12.90 which was incredibly good value as my burger alone would have been more than tat! Service was friendly and efficient. Portion were the a la carte size so great

Horrible the waitress that served us was not nice at all waiting for ages for her to clear the table or order deserts and the restaurant was empty. Didn’t even ask how the meals are she did not checkk up on us once. The food was not that great either. Don’t know her name but she was very tall and massive teeth.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Vegan chicken wing starter . Nice atmosphere, and Martyna the waitress made the experience very memorable, excellent service, will be back !

I haven’t been here for many years as thought it was overpriced with a lack of atmosphere and service and upon my recent visit felt nothing had changed . The waitress was super happy but felt like she was reading form a script , my sons meatballs were cold , when I approached our waitress the manager just looked on the other direction , there was no apology when bought back hot , later on 2 waitresses sang happy birthday but the 2nd waitress looked like she wanted to be anywhere but singing happy birthday , I just don’t understand why people pay premium prices here for a less than mediocre meal . I won’t be back , would rather spend my money with a locally run restaurant with quality food , more atmosphere and good service. I should have known better but went for convenience over judgement

Lovely staff were very attentive to me and my daughters. The vegetarian menu felt a bit limited on this visit, compared to my previous trips. The only vegetarian pizza option is plain Margherita with the option to pay for extra toppings. The food was good though and myself and my girls enjoyed our meal.

Had a few questionable meal experiences. Most the waiting staff have seemed friendly. We were asked to leave a review as they had previously had some bad reviews, which I'm honestly not too surprised about. One of the more recent times I went me and a friend ordered the same meatball dish, which arrived cold. He was concerned about possibly getting ill as a result. Thankfully the staff didn't charge us for the main dish and we didn't want to eat any more. I agree with other reviews that service has sometimes taken very long. I think I've had one encounter of staff being innappropriate, but overall staff have seemed friendly. I've enjoyed pancake breakfasts here, but would certainly recommend having breakfast over mains.

Made a spontaneous decision to visit this evening. So glad we did. Very good choice of vegan options. Pizza was delicious, garlic bread very good and the lava chips-the best chips that we have ever had! We were thrilled with our whole experience. I said to my husband that it was one of those moments when it feels wonderful to be alive. Nice decor, comfortable and cosy and very welcoming. Fabulous. Thank you very much.

I went to frankie and bennies yesterday for my birthday lunch, I couldn't use the voucher I had (my fault I didn't read it properly) I had a classic cheeseburger with fries and for someone who has mild intolerances to cheddar and sesame seeds it would of been perfect for me none of these ingredients were presented What makes me annoyed is I spent the whole evening being sick and I hadn't eaten anything else that day so I highly suspect it was the burger If only it was cooked properly It would of been perfect

This was supposed to be a family meal to celebrate a birthday. For the prices paid we should have gone fining dining for just a few pounds more! Our waiter was pleasant, welcoming and saw to us timely but did not provide all meal side order options. The food was abysmal! We ordered a round of soft drinks and starters, which were mediocre at best. We ordered 3 x chicken parmigiana which were awful and could only be described as someone's end of the month leftovers thrown together for dinner just before payday! They were bland, dry and very unappetising and who has chips and spaghetti as a meal?? Our own fault I guess for not thoroughly reading all details on the menu! The pizza was burnt in places on the bottom. Only the chicken / prawn pasta dish was enjoyed. We advised the waiter we didn't enjoy it and the manager did remove 2 meals from the bill without being asked but we were so put off we paid and left. Expensive prices for bargain basement food, we will not be returning.

Coffee was cold, but was replaced, we had Hotdog with fries, very unappetising and luke warm. In our opinion service was below average. Shame as other Frankies and Benny restaurants we have used have always been good.

Visited with my daughter and sister. We all had separate dishes, but all came down with very upset stomachs after our visit. I had the chicken and halloumi burger. The chicken was tough, burnt, and just unedible. I mentioned this to our waiter that my meal was inedible and he just said sorry about that. I guess I should have taken it further on reflection. That be said, the waiter was very polite and attentive apart from that. They certainly need to sort out their fly issue. Tiny little flies were buzzing around the whole time. On the whole, I would say I've had better experiences in Wetherspoons for a cheaper price, and that's saying something. We've been to this particular branch of Frankie & Bennys often over the years, and I must say its quite sad to see its decline of late. I won't be visiting again.

Waited ages before being served and it was 40 minute wait between each meal. When we finally got our food it was cold and stale. The chicken was also burned all around the edges. It had clearly been recooked. There was spider webs and flies...

Ordered a BBQ chicken burger. Came as a dry piece of bread and chicken, no BBQ, no mayo. The clue is in the title… if your chefs can’t remember to put a key ingredient in a main dish they need sacking. As for the sweet potato fries you can tell someone took those out the fryer, knew they were burnt as hell and thought ‘sod it I’ll throw them in anyways and see if I can get away with it’ well you haven’t. Just don't even try to eat they're food!! we feel sick after eating there. Not good for kids either. Very cold inside, and food was tasteless and I don't know how they're cooking but I'll never ever go back in there. Someone should be sent there to check they're out of dates food. Disgusting. Avoid!! We came here as a family and the food was terrible. After waiting 1hr 20 minutes in a non-busy restaurant, our food finally arrived. It was cold and overall, utterly disgusting. My burger fell apart as soon as I picked it up, that it eventually became inedible and was plastered in sauce. One party member had a chicken burger - literally a slap of burnt chicken breast in breadcrumbs. The sides are TINY. And I do not see how they can justify charging £3.40 for 10 chips!!! Ridiculous. Service was very slow and staff were quite dismissive. I have complained to head office as I think they should be aware of how terrible this restaurant is. I will not be returning here and I recommend that you give this place a miss.

We went for my sons birthday won’t be going back. Slowest service ever, didn’t have a lot of stuff on the menu. Food was boring no garnish etc and lukewarm tasteless.

USA themed eatery. Staff were very nice but the food gives even the USA a worse reputation than they deserve. Artificial flavours, excessive quantities of high fat calories, air con blasting out cold air on a day when it wasn’t particularly warm, etc etc. The garlic bread was quite nice, well ….the small area of the flat bread with garlic sauce was nice, but it came in a big pizza style circle, strangely impossible to cut. The beefburgers were particularly strange - not convinced ‘beef’ is the right description. Didn’t bother with the afters. I wouldn’t go there again, the only reason for two stars rather than one is the lovely attentive serving staff.

Good food, great vegan dish, lovely birthday treat for my daughter. Super waiting staff made for a very enjoyable experience

We visited this evening for a Birthday celebration after such a long time locked down only to be told on ordering that they had no steak, if we were told this on entering we would have left straight away. drinks arrived and I had more lemon pips floating than actual lemon which I had to fish out and then my wife’s food was cold which was sent back, such a shame as we have always preferred Frankie and Benny’s to most other places to eat out. This experience has now left us not only hungry but feeling we will NEVER go back!!!

Ordered 2 meals for delivery( live less than a mile from restaurant) Communication, was good, the meal was luke warm. The chicken did not taste fresh.. I've had better from local fish and cIt was not value for the money, hip shop.

We placed an order through uber eats due to them having a 20% off order, I have to say that we were amazed by the quality of food and packaging that arrived, our favourite meals deliver to our door, juicy ribs and moist chicken, cheesy garlic bread, loaded potatoe skins and awesome burgers.

The takeaway for Frankie and Benny's is poor to say the least. I had a pizza, the Mozarella wasn't melted and the chicken tasted rather cheap slightly watery.. It was near on cold and quite disappointing. I liked the base but to be honest it could have been tastier if it was an asda pizza. The sizes are quite small for the price as my family had burgers which were so small compared to pictures that they could pass as a children's burger and I can honestly say this isn't the first time I'm disappointed with their food. Last time my chicken was horrible in the burger so I opted for a pizza for a change. It was not great. Basically tatsed cheap, probably not very fresh and near on cold. It was quite greasy too.. I wouldn't really recommend.

Having been over a year since we visited the westwood cross restaurant and decided to give it another chance after our last experience a this place, as we entered we noticed the place was empty which was worrying , on Valentine’s day ... we ordered our starter and main course waited for 45 minutes for the starter to turn up so hot it was obviously micro waved to reheat, then waited another 45 minutes for the over cooked steak which should have been medium cooked and a spaghetti dish to be served with pasta, and the garlic bread was so burnt underneath it was a joke, i took photos and have shown all these , we just wanted to finish our meal and go as we had cinema tickets booked, we asked to speak with the manager and was told by the manager after arguing with other customer’s that we had to pay and no apologises from him, we walked out and refused to pay, i have contacted the head office since and reported this to them also but very little if not no apologies ...Avoid at all cost, not a great night at this cowboy joint,, i wonder how they stay in business.Click “Yes, update me” to receive emails from Trustpilot abo

Visited here on the 19th feb, someone needs to arrange the kitchen staff so that they have a professional in there with them, now we normally go here for food and it’s always been great couldn’t normally fault it but on the 19th feb they must of had different kitchen staff, the food took forever to come out and when it did it was awful , my daughters dish was burnt , sent it back twice and my starter and main was dreadful. I heard at least 4 other tables complain. While the kitchen staff should never be aloud to all work together in there again without guidance I must say our waitress was excellent, her customer service skills were on point I wish I had asked for her name because she should be promoted ( we were sat by the toilet on the round table and it was my daughters birthday our table was booked at 6.45) well done to her. Hopefully the dreadful food was a one off .

Ordered ribs, they were awful and at £15 i expect better. The waiter was nice but he was annoying and touched you while sitting at your table - really not how they should be acting. Definitely won't be going back after my first experience. If i want that quality of food, i'll go to spoons for half the price and have a better meal

Lunchtime with a friend. Decided to have a catch up with a friend on Friday and we decided on Frankie and Benny’s. We got seated straight away and given time to browse the menus. We both decided on the 2 courses for £10.99. Really good value. We both had the same of chicken strips to start then a the classic cheese burger with fries for main. Didn’t take long for food to come out and was nice and hot. Chicken was good as a starter and had loads of good taste. Burger on the other hand was another story. Yes is was cooked and cooked well however it was very greasy and had not flavour other than the beef. It had clearly not been seasoned and there was barely any cheese. I will likely return at some point but certainly won’t be having the burger.

Had a meal here tonight with eight other family members. What is there not to like? Very comfy & you are made to feel welcome. Service was excellent, food was good & food arrived promptly. Very good value for money. We were not rushed at all which was great as we hadn’t seen some for a while so lots of chatting. Will definitely go back.

We came here on our "date night" after the cinema. Being a Saturday night, the place was busy and we hadn't reserved. We had a half hour wait before they could squeeze us in. I had the ultimate mixed grill and new York cheese cake with a strawberry daiquiri. The mixed grill was OK, nothing special and to be honest a bit bland. I had the pepper corn sauce, which again tasted bland and watery. I'm quite picky with my steak, but the temperature was in range of what I asked for. You do get a lot of food for your money.

Had an amazing meal, and service by Sean. It was very busy but he was always smiling. And enjoyed the 7 birthdays that happened with our time here. Lex and Charlie

Shocking service. We arrived at Frankie and Benny's at 2pm and were greeted by waitress who seemed to have any disregard for customer service. We were given the wrong menu - only to be taken away after 5 minutes by another waitress as the menu was weekdays only. The starters arrived and the food was good. I was impressed how quickly the starters came and all seemed good.

Really impressed with the vegan options... nice to see more than just a token vegan burger on offer (although my daughter’s vegan burger did look great). I had the ‘plant balls Italiano’ to start and the creamy mushroom pasta for my main, both were much better than expected. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about what they were serving. Will definitely recommend this place to my vegan friends.

Shaun who looked after us from the moment we sat down until the moment we left could not do enough for us, Top top fella was so friendly and helpful. The service and food was very very good and we will definitely be going back.

Just been here today, ordered a ham and tomato omelette. I started to eat it and eventually realised there was no tomato in it ! I spoke to the waitress and pointed this out and asked what was in it ? She came back and said the manager has taken the order wrongly!!!! and it was ham and cheese !!!!

I’ve been here several times I know what to expect, the food is always pretty good and service is always quick but the best part of my meal today with my mum was the waiter, Shaun. This guy is such a pleasure. He had a smile on his face for the whole device, great banter and he even did everything he could to solve the problem of my mums bacon being cold! He is an amazing contribution to this place and deserves a medal for how much of a natural ray of sunshine he is!

Visited this restaurant on Saturday 23rd it wasnt busy . We didnt even get given time to actually fey comfortable and even look at menu b4 had to give drink order.A man with a hard to understand forgien accent took the drinks order and on returning with a pint of lager( that was over a inch from the top)obviously where they make their profit! and a cappuccino .Then waited over 15 mins b4 taking food order( in our opinion so they could get a further drink order ) The pizza was burnt around edges but eatable, the fries were only tepid with the burger. The cappuccino wasnt like a cappuccino more like a americano as photo shows .The fella in charge that was of slim build and balding was extreamly patronising. He then said well up in leeds where ur from u expect it to be like that. We excuse me I was born in Margate and worked in Margate for 28 yrs b4 moving 18 yrs ago so north south devide is of no justification to having a loose rude mouth to customers , whom without u may not need to work there. If they are the staff u have to offer to serve customers not wonder bad reviews are left.

I ordered the ultimate mixed grill but the only hot items on the plate were the BBQ chicken wings. No server checked to see if everything was OK.

I have been lucky enough to go to the US many many times for work and for pleasure so I know American diners quite well. Uncle Sam would be crying hi eyes out to have our experience today be associated in anyway with an "American Diner" experience.

Come here for a meal on Sunday pre booked a table for 6 people. Resturant wasnt overly busy but anyone would have thought with the service it was! Took ages to get all 3 courses staff where otherwise engaged got half the mains served and she went back about cleaing tables when the other meals where on the hot plate. The only positive was the quality of the food when it did arrive. Staff could do with some serious retraining

We went to Frankie and Benny's as it is usually quick, and we thought booking a table for 18:30 gave us plenty of time to eat and leave before 20:00hrs to go to an event.

We had a pleasant meal here with family. The Staff were very friendly and the food was good. The milkshakes were delicious.

Great place to eat if you are staying at The Travelodge Westwood Cross. We went for breakfast which was delicious, plenty of choice. I had eggs benedict with bacon, it came quickly and was very tasty. The only thing that let it down was the cappuccino didn't taste of coffee only hot milk.

Waited ages to order and got totally ignored the whole time. Had 3 hungry, ratty children with us and didn’t even get offered any drinks. When we complained the waitress said, this isn’t my side of the restaurant!

Me and my partner visited this weekend just gone and we were served by Sophie (lovely girl very smiley) we ordered a family feast to share between me and my partner. The portion size was amazing, we even had some left to take home. Food was great. Overall we had a lovely time and would defo recommend to friends and family.

I can't fault the food which was tasty and hot. The meals were served quickly despite 6 adults all selecting a different dish. However, it was Sean our waiter who impressed us. We had a chance to take our dinner here with a visitor friend. This is our second visit. We took the offer thar serves three people, really good value for money. Staff are friendly and professional.
