Frankie & Benny's New York Italian Restaurant & Bar - Romford in Havering

Came in today for lunch with family I had a pizza which was like cardboard fries were cold. My daughter had the ribs with an non existence sauce not good won't be returning 😒

Been a few times before and found the staff always friendly, the environment is nice . had the steak and chips for the first time, normally go for a burger, was really impressed and will recommend the dish and be back again in the future.

Tried Frankie and Benny's in Romford and was extremely impressed with the quality of food and friendliness of staff. Never seen or eaten such exceptional poached eggs and Chris was brilliant. Very attentive and charismatic. Will definitely be back.

Went here for 70th birthday party on Friday. We were given our starters and dinner within 5 mins of each other, all very rushed. One person in a wheelchair used the disabled toilet. The door was blocked by the sanitary bin and they could not get the wheelchair into the room. Also there is an offer for 2 for the price of 1 on cocktails between 5-7 which was never explained to us. There were also no notices on this, on the table. We were charged full price for our 1 cocktail. After chatting to the Manager this was resolved. But service generally was very lacking.

Had a lovely time as always. I literally love coming here, I always feel welcomed and the staff and food is lovely. One of the best!

I booked this for my adult brother’s birthday who has mild learning difficulties. I explained in the booking notes that he likes a fuss made of him and ordered the birthday doughnut which comes with a ‘big kids’ party bag for free… it was perfect, the table was decorated with birthday signs and the party bag had challenge cards in it which made the meal great fun - there was also a birthday hat, stickers and a key ring. All the staff then came and sang happy birthday when they brought the giant doughnut cake with candles. Marco the waiter was absolutely fabulous with my brother and made him laugh a lot. All in all it couldn’t have been better… oh and the food was great too! We’ll be back!

Yesterday I went to Frankies and Bennys for breakfast two nice ladies were serving me. Everything was nicely and quickly served. The latte coffee with oat milk was really delicious. The food was good quality and warm when served. I will definetly come back and I recommend to try this restaurant.

Honestly this place has improved so much. Last time i was here was over a year and a half ago and i had a horrid experience then. But today was absolutely fantastic. Service was so quick and lovely. Our waiter Lefter was so kind and funny. Food is where this have improved the most. The burger and pasta were to die for. Honestly I dont know what they did to improve but it’s worked and i am more than happy to return

Awful. £12+ x2 Mediterranean Salad… can honestly say worse vegan meal I have ever had. We could not eat it as it was soggy, we had to hunt for the hummus as it has dissolved. We complained however only got £6 off our bill. Vegan starter that was shaped like a chicken but was in fact watery jackfruit. We paid £35 for unbeatable meal, then had to go to Sainsbury’s to buy a sandwich as we were so hungry. I will never go to Frankie and Bennys again and would not advice any vegetarians or vegans

Went once and the chicken buger was so hard it was almost impossible to cut. 2nd time the mains again were overcooked, Used to visit regularly, sadly I will not return again. It seems to be very hit and miss. Also have told friends and family to go elsewhere. Sad days.

Came well boxed Fried Breakfast was ok although you get the smallest amount of beans in a tiny little pot. Beef Hash which I think was £6.80 so not cheap had so little beef it should just be called hash but flavour was ok.

Not been here for a while but TGIs didn’t have a table so we took a punt. Once seated it took quite a while before we were asked for a drinks order, by then we also ordered our food as well. The service was efficient from them on. Found it poor that the my were charging £2.99 for a can of soft drink! Food came up pretty quick, my son had a chicken carbonara which was excellent, really creamy, plenty of garlic and I had real food envy. I had the cheese burger with pulled beef. This really didn’t look that appetising and very bland looking being that it was just the burger and skinny cut fries. Couple of onion rings or a little pot of coleslaw wouldn’t have gone a miss. However, it did taste far better than it looked. We were full after the main meal and for once didn’t have desert.

Typical Frankie and Bennys. We couldn't believe how busy the place got. We arrived around 7pm and just as well we did as within around 20 mins all of the tables were taken an the place was heaving. Service was slow due to the volume of people ordering and I could hear a few people moaning. We wasn't in that much of a rush but my son was getting the fidgets and of course the carpark is ticking. We were shocked when we got back to pay the car park and had just fallen into the 3 hour bracket by 4 mins!!! We did have 3 courses though. Because they were so busy the waiter was rushing and I felt our experience lacked somewhat as we had to ask for cheese for a bolognaise and they forgot my husbands ribs with his chicken and rib combo dish!

Nine of us went yesterday and really enjoyed the food and service was great. Eddie looked after the family and for a change all the veggies and vegans enjoyed the food as much as the non veg. Varied menu, uncomplicated and well cooked. Thank you guys for a nice experience

Which was the 1st time since Sept 2019. It was my partners birthday, we went in the evening, wish we hadn't, I phoned quite a few times to make sure they were not fully booked, took ages to get an answer even though it wasn't even a quarter full, food was AT BEST average, I tried the Red Bean Balls, SO TASTELESS, NO FLAVOUR,I asked about the crispy Beef, was told along with other dishes they have them 'as & when!', that is no good to me or anyone, that is one of my favorite dishes, I won't visit 'hoping' they have that & other food I like. The evening meal was AT BEST as good as the afternoon so CLEARLY NOT WORTH the EXTRA MONEY, in fact we found it hard to find a second plate of food without repeating what we'd already had, the plastic 'vesel' we were given for water was very small, the pizza's were VERY thin with next to no topping, Even though I'm a Pizza lover I didn't bother, most of the meat didn't look that appetizing. A lot of dishes were missing. The water came out of one of the machines VERY CLOUDY, we were given the bill at around 21:15 without even asking for it, we were asked how we were paying about 10 mins after even though we were STILL CLEARLY eating our main meal & not even started our desert. WE WON'T BOTHER AGAIN, the Chinese Buffet in Brentwood is much better.

They welcomed us and was seated straight away. The service was fantastic and food and was exceptional. The food was served quick and was hot all the way through. would definitely visit again. Thank you team

It was so nice to go to a restaurant that catered for all 3 generations. Everyone enjoyed the food including my daughter who is doing veganuary. Excellent, prices food and service. Looking forward to our next visit.

I took my girlfriend for the first meal of 2020 to this brunch. Great food, great atmosphere, great service by Anna. Keep doing great job guys. We will return.

Came with my sister for our annual Christmas brunch, we placed our order and waited 20 minutes for our drinks. When placing the order I did ask which beers were working by draught as I know that they have issues with this time to time. The waiter came back to say only peroni was working, me and my sister didn’t want peroni, so we ordered x2 bottles of corona instead. The waiter then brought over x2 bottles of peroni which is what we said we didn’t want. After 45 minutes in total the waiter came back to say they didn’t have any corona. At this point me and my sister got up and left. No apology given and our annual brunch ruined. When Emily was there, there was never an issue, really poor and disappointing. Went to a cafe instead. Wouldn’t go back.

I recently went here to have fulfil me and my sisters annual Christmas brunch tradition. Our tradition was far from fulfilled.

Had a great meal on Sunday 15th December, very impressed with the vegan options as my grandson is dairy intolerant and it is so hard to make him feel inclusive regarding food options. Also a mention for Eugene our server, a very attentive helpful chap.

We came today to Frankie and Bennys in Romford to celebrate my friend birthday. It's so nice to be served but such a attentive person like Martha who cares a lot and shows us that she wants to make our day special.

Such slow service and ridiculously over priced unless you get a deal. Cocktails are tasty but pricey.

Me and my best friend came here Friday and the service was very quick , the staff was very polite and very friendly. The food was piping hot and delicious . Could not fault the place Best Frankie and Benny’s I’ve ever been too.
