Frankie & Benny's in Sheffield

Been bringing my family here since the day it opened. More generally come in for a few drinks while walking/shopping. Never had a bad experience in Frankies. Staff are brilliant, especially Becky who has to put up with me on a weekly basis. Brilliant.

Acabábamos de ver Disney on Ice y teníamos dos niños muy hambrientos de 5 y 8 años. Tan pronto como entramos en la Abadía nuestra camarera era excelente, en primer lugar haciendo que los niños se sientan especiales comprando comentando sobre su atuendo, y en segundo lugar ayudándonos a elegir el menú muy grande. Quick stop after bowling. Had triple parm sandwhich was really nice reminded me of a BLT. Kids meal was also nice including a pudding too!!! Service was nice from Macauly

I have visited this place for years, and the service and food is now at its worst. Will not be returning, the spark has gone from this place. Cold food, lack of flavour and long wait times. Extremely disappointed and feel ripped off. The food is not worth the price charged. I have had better food at many other places for much less. Will not be returning again. Avoid.

La comida salió a los 10 minutos de pedirla, lo que no era una buena señal de que ya estaba cocinada y solo se calentó para servir, tenía una pizza que no era lo suficientemente grande como para alimentar a un niño y la cantidad de grasa que me quité de ella en las manos era repugnante el sabor era tan sosa la hamburguesa de mi esposa era tan pequeña e insípida y venía con unas cuantas papas fritas empapadas mi hija tenía un plato de compartir con su esposo y dijo que estaba bien en cuanto a que había 2 niños ambas comidas parecían tan poco apetitosas en general que no era una comida agradable y el costo era mucho más de lo que valía la pena No volveré a frecuentar este lugar

Hice una reserva, ya que sabíamos que estaría ocupado. La comida era promedio. El servicio era lento en ningún orden. Tuve que esperar más de una hora para conseguir nuestra red.

Had been before and found food to be lovely. On entering was disappointed to see a reduced menu with no hot dogs. The food came I ordered the chicken with bacon and bbq sauce . The chicken was thin and quite tough and bland . My daughter had a chicken burger which she said was average. I ordered tirimusu for desert which again was quite bland I have had much better from Asda. All in all it was very disappointing as we use to enjoy the old menu so much . The staff were amazing but won’t come back for the food in a hurry .

We visited Frankie and Benny’s as a large group (14) as part of a family weekend for breakfast. The staff were all friendly on arrival and seated us all together (even though we had booked 3 tables), George was our server and he was great. Most people wanted something changed on their meals and nothing was a problem. The food was delicious, atmosphere was chilled and we had a great time! Thank you!

We recently visited Frankie & Benny’s in Broughton, Chester, and sadly, it was far from what we expected. The evening started with cold starters that had to be sent back to be reheated. Unfortunately, it didn’t get much better. One of our main dishes also arrived cold and had to be recooked. The portion size of the ribs was disappointing for the price—definitely not good value for money. To make matters worse, the presentation of the food was lackluster and unappetizing. One of the managers we dealt with seemed uninterested in addressing our concerns and lacked any customer service skills. Overall, it was an underwhelming experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this location and will not be returning

The gentleman who served us was amazing,didn't wait long for food,My sons children pizza was 3 pieces and was so hard and the garlic bread dripping in greace and my pasta was absolutely disgusting 3 peaces of pulled chicken 4 peaces of mushroom no flavour at all not coming again and it wasn't cheap either could of gone prezzo for what you pay

Me and my girlfriend went for a meal on Saturday evening , The waitress seated us next to 2 big family’s with multiple children in the middle of them when there was loads of seats empty which I thought it was a bad start, we ordered the pasta meatball course when it came, it was cold like it. I’ve been microwaved but not enough. The meatballs were flaky. It was dry no sauce at all there was only like 3 meatballs. The garlic bread was greasy and it came to 50 quid meal bill with two pints which I thought was expensive for two plates of cold dry 3 meatballs The menu is absolutely shocking There’s not a lot of choice to order from it has gone downhill in my view.

Staff were switched on to GF requirements. I had a burger which came with a jacket potato to make it GF, which was a mistake on my part. No salad or coleslaw so jacket potato and butter very bland. Burger itself was ok and I asked for cheese topping. Unfortunately I couldn’t taste the cheese and thought it was missing, but the waiter offered to get extra or knock it off the bill. Options of puds slightly limited but decent liqueur coffee to compensate. Ambience ok for groups and young people, staff good, but generally feels overpriced.

I wish I could rate lower than 1 star. I thought a nice pizza or Carbonara would be a good fix for a trip shopping at Broughton. It took a while to seat me, when they finally did the staff all disappeared and left me waiting alone. After 10 - 15 minutes a couple came in and sat on the table next to mine. Within 3 minutes a waitress came to take an order from them. I evidently have no value as a paying customer who has been many times in the past. This is definitely my last visit. Terrible performance. The one staff member I spoke to was miserable, the rest none existent.

Had to wait for a long time with 2 kids for the drinks to arrive. I ordered 2 starters for the kids but only one came. Had to wait for another to be cooked. Ordered another drink, didn't turn up, had to ask for it twice. The meal turned up and wasn't good. I didn't ask to pay the bill, a girl turned up with the payment machine for me to pay. No bill so couldn't check to see what I was paying for. It wasn't even that busy in there so couldn't understand why we had such bad service.. Definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone. Such a shame, was taking my grandchildren out for lunch.

Portions were very small, ordered one of the small appetite kids and another larger appetite and there was no difference in size at all. Pizza for my oldest was average buy price was nearly £17 and no bigger than a 9inch. Very disappointing

It was a lovely, spontaneous meal out as we didn't fancy cooking. We were seated quickly, drinks were great, menu had lots of choice and it was great value for money. Staff were very friendly and attentive and the restaurant was very clean and tidy.

Ate here yesterday with the family before heading over to Sheffield Arena for Gladiators. The food was great and very well priced. They were doing a promotion that a child eats free with any paying adult which is an awesome touch in the school holidays. The service was absolutely phenomenal. We were very friendly welcomed in, ordered taken quickly etc. My doughtier knocked over a drink and smashed a glass and the waitress couldn’t have dealt with it any nicer. Moved us straight to another table and reassured us and more importantly my daughter that it was ok. Came away very happy and left the waitress a tip. Didn’t catch the waitresses name unfortunately to put on here. If I owned a restaurant I would want someone like this working here, she was a credit to the place. Recommend this place if in the area.

Went for a late birthday meal with some friends at the one in Broughton retail park and the service was really great, food came really fast, our waiter was really helpful and friendly, would definitely recommend to anyone :)

Where to even start.... let's start with the managers feedback to negative reviews aiming to improve service. This has been completely ignored. Don't expect good service here. I began the night waiting at the front of house for 2mins before a lady said she'll be just a minute. 2mins later she chats to her colleague then has a drink of coffee. Whilst waiting I couldn't help but notice that only 6 tables were full. Luckily we booked in advance (clearly needed). Finally a different lady took us to our table. You should always have someone at the front of house. Sit down, WiFi doesn't work which I needed in order to use our tastecard. Ask a staff member who recommended I switch to prezzo which also failed. Shambles, I hope you're paying them for the Internet. 5mins later someone finally took our order, sorry ladies I know you're super busy drinking monster & taking selfies in the kitchen. Whilst waiting for it to be cooked we counted 6 couples/families who were turned away because they hadn't booked in advance despite the 15+ free tables. Food arrived... pizza size has shrunk since the last time I went to F&Bs... no pizza knife to cut it. Garlic bread reheated. Chicken starter was bland. Lasagne was nice. We further counted 7 couples/families that were turned away whilst the kitchen staff were still drinking monster (literally makes zero sense when you're doing F all) I had to ask someone what time they were closing because I thought we were the last couple... turned out they lacked kitchen staff. This manager needs to be reviewed for making such a huge loss, bring in 1-2 couples to keep your kitchen staff busy instead of standing idle! At one point there was literally nobody in the kitchen! Absolutely shocking. Despite me clarifying I had a tastecard & had to go outside 5 steps away from the restaurant to gain Internet & then show the QR code they still brought me a full price bill. We realised they charged for 3 peroni's instead of 2 so 3rd time lucky we got there. Thank god we had a lovetoshop voucher to pay else I'd never have given a penny. Do yourself a favour & head over to prezzo or pizza express. These guys clearly haven't improved despite the amount of negative feedback on service & quality. Food portions are terrible & way to overpriced, I was still hungry walking out. AVOID!!

Frankie's at Broughton has become a regular favourite for myself and my partner. We first visited over a year ago, it's our first choice and only if I'm honest everytime we visit Broughton for the cinema or shopping, the food is always spot on, we've never had any issue at all, the staff are always on hand if you need amything and checking everything's okay. We have to give a special shout for becca on the bar! She had gone above and beyond on multiple occasions when we haven't had much time before our movie she's ensured we get fast service and food promptly, her cocktails & cocktails are always so refreshing and not forgetting she definitely makes the most amazing ice cream sundaes you'll ever have!! She always has a smile and presents herself very professionally "we've nicknamed her Lara Croft because she's a split of Angelina Jolie" whenever we think of ordering a drink we think shall we get a "Crofttail" 😉 To all the staff at the Broughton site thanks for always making our visit an enjoyable and pleasant one 😀 Keep up the good work. Not very family friendly. I have tried to go in a number of times with friends and children but the staff always make customers wait even when half the tables are empty. This could be due to a lack of staff (so could be management to blame) however this has happened on a number of occasions so should be addressed. When I have been seated food is fine but customer service needs work especially for families when this is advertised as a family restaurant.

No option of not tipping / we are not USA and you have lost a customer for life !! No you will not be seeing me again

Started off well with a lovely welcome and quick service. Food wasn't at all bad. It was then awful, we weren't warned that a party of a dozen children were coming in. The management were not proactive in considering other diners when the 12 children were shouting and singing songs. No one wants to spoil a child's outing but should they not be taught to consider others whilst enjoying themselves? Left with a headache and indigestion!! Won't frequent again, it appears Frankie & Benny's is the new McDonald's.

Jack our server and Molly manager on shift made our meal enjoyable as we had an issue but they both paid attention to us whilst we were complaining and took everything on board and sorted the situation out quickly and efficiently

Visited 28th June in the afternoon for our son’s birthday. Sorry didn’t catch their names but all the staff were so friendly! Couldn’t do enough for us, sang happy birthday and just made it really special. Thank you so much! And the food was great too!

Fantastic service. All staff were so lovely with our little ones. Food was brought out pretty quickly which is always a help with young children. Chicken parmigiana was delicious! Kids menu was really generous portions

Came in today, there was technical difficulties with the restaurant but Tom our waiter was very helpful even though it looked very stressful he kept calm with a smile. He delivered our food without any problems he made sure we all had the correct drinks and food (we were table of 12). Thank you Tom!

Service was impeccable, which makes up for all three stars - our waitress was attentive, friendly and welcoming. The new menu has reduced choice, and the vegan choice is extremely basic now - i felt like i had gone back in time ten years. Also very few vegetarian gluten free options. Portion sizes have been reduced. Broccoli was lukewarm. Pizzas were underwhelming.

We came here to celebrate my mom's birthday and we had a wonderful experience. The drinks were delicious and the food was very tasy. A big shout out to Danny and our server Laura for making my mom feel extra special today, excellent and friendly service 😊

This was my first visit to Frankie and Bennys for a few years, after seeing the advertised offer of a Free Main Course. I was very disappointed when my voucher would not be accepted, and it very much spoilt our experience. The fries were not very warm. But the milk shake was nice.

Had a great visit, the food was lovely. John was super understanding about my coeliac so had a lovely gluten free meal. Excellent customer service from him.

Shocking service from start to finish. Not even busy in there. Attention to detail with customer service is needed here big time. Remember when also giving out menus, give them all out not just the expensive ones, good job I checked online eh. Grr Kept waiting constantly, told to go to the bar and order which I was sat next too ffs, had to ask for the bill as sat for a good 10mins after finishing our dinner with dirty plates on our table. Staff need to spend less time texting behind the bar whilst serving (yes I could see where I was sat)coffees etc and look after customers better. Food wasn’t the best either. Burnt ends on chicken burger, fried not mega hot, wife said carbonara hardly any taste at all. Shocking. Hate too see what it’s like when it’s busy.😡

Atmosphere was amazing, food however was terrible, carbonara had no flavour sent that back and had a chicken burger same as my partner and daughter all three of the burgers were dry as anything and were basically inedible, no servers came to ask how the meal was while we were eating until we complained, really disappointing family meal out. I’ve had to edit this after I’ve received the receipt. The staff said they would take the burgers off the meal BUT they still charged us for the carbonara that had only 2, yes, 2 mouthfuls AND the cheeky barstewards had the temerity to put a 12.5 service charge!!!!!!! Sod that, I’m going to properly complain when I go there tomz!!! Why should I waste my money, which I worked to earn just to give it to someone who didn’t deserve it.

We came last week and had to return food as was cold. They recooked meal but was still cold., Went again to day noticed it was the bad chef who always gives cold food so ordered a garlic bread with cheese and asked if they would make sure it was hot. It was not busy and brought the food out. tried the breab in the middle and was stone cold. Health Hazzard

We chose Frankie and Bennys because we know the food is top tier. We’ve not tried this location before but we’re glad we did! Service here was beyond exceptional. We visited with our autistic son who is very sensitive to noise, however we have to give him a sense of normality and dine out for nice occasions. Our server was more than accommodating when we asked if it was possible to turn the music down slightly and didn’t hesitate. Our food was served timely and drinks arrived in a flash. Amazing!

Loved my visit here and the manager was helpful finding us some where to sit as we had a pram. Unfortunately my main wasn't that good and I sent it back. The manager was very helpful and refunded me. That hasn't put me off visiting again. All waiting staff were lovely.

We really went to F&B on the spur of the moment before the cinema showing and we were all really pleasantly surprised. We opted for the fixed lunch menu which at £12.90 is amazingly good value. However, not only was it good value but it was good food! Generous portions but quality of the food was great. The pasta arrabiata (extra spicy as requested) was delicious, the garlic bread was also good. The food was all fresh, hot and tasty. All you could want but don't often seem to get these days. Service from Kerri was lovely too! Thank you. We often go to the cinema so we will be back.

Food was ok, as was service generally. Price was extortionate both for food and drink. Daylight robbery with cramped, claustrophobic seating, we will never be returning here.

Visited 4/4/24 Booked the night before, after seeing a good gluten free menu. My daughters 12th birthday seated quickly, menu explained in detail by the waitress very good and understanding of fussy 12 yr olds x7 , drink great, food lovely, x2 adult meals great and the GF food tasty. Sang happy birthday and couldn’t do enough for us, barman kept my husband and brother in law entertained and was friendly. Will definitely return great experience and party really enjoyed it , Thankyou to the staff for a great experience.

First time visiting this restaurant as we had a bad experience at another Frankie & Benny's a few years ago. I'm so glad we did as it failed to disappoint. Service was spot on and the food even better . We only had a short time to get in and eat as we had made plans but the food was on the table within 30 mins. Very happy will be visiting again!

Great value for money and great that they take the tastecard again

Our waitress was brilliant very helpful and friendly. Was brilliant with our 3 children, chatting with all 3 of them. Add that to the top quality food, if was great family meal.

Visited for my birthday, initially the service was great seated straight away and took our order quickly, the food was lovely our plates were cleared and then we were just forgotten about. It took 45 minutes after eating for someone to come and see if we needed the bill not even offered desserts which I thought was really strange especially from previous visits , the gent who originally seated us was more bothered about polishing cutlery and sorting what looked like to go orders the lady that cleared our table was stood behind the bar pretty much for the remainder of our visit. When paying I held out my hand to collect the receipt and the gent instead quite abruptly put it on the table in which I responded happy birthday to me because by this point I was extremely fed up of sitting around wasting time especially on such a special occasion. After hearing it was my birthday he then mentioned about the song they sang which would’ve been nice if we had not sat there for an hour in a pretty much empty restaurant with nothing but empty glasses in front of us. We left and went to 39 desserts where the service was a lot quicker and everyone really wanted a dessert.

All good except the seating, "having to get up to allow people buy in the passageway with buggies," no fault of the customers, seating shouldn't be so cramped.

Slightly forgetful staff but very apologetic. Food was top notch.

Booked our table 4 weeks prior to our visit , arrived and was immediately seated on time at a lovely table , staff were all friendly , polite, quick service for both food and drinks . Food was fresh and hot we had no complaints . Great start to a fabulous night at The Arena ***** Our waitress Kerri was lovely and very polite . Well done to ALL staff on which was a very busy night .

We eat here quite often. One of our favourite go to places to dine especially before going into the cinema. Great food and great atmosphere. Staff are really friendly. Slightly pricey but that's comparing it to McDonald's 🤣.

It's very hit and miss when you come here. Sometimes the staff are friendly and other times they can't wait to get rid of you. Food is okay but burgers are dry. Very cold place better to get a seat near the serving deck

As a family, we had been shopping at the Meadowhall Retail Park (not Meadowhell itself because [internally shivers with horror]) and were wondering where to have lunch at the next door Valley Centertainment, and decided on this place. As we were getting ready to go inside we realised that the last time we ate at a Frankie & Benny's was pre-Covid, and we were really looking forward to it. Anyway we had barely reached the 'wait here to be seated' bit when our server (Abbey) was with us and, obviously noticing that two of our party use crutches, said she would seat us where we would have to do the minimum of walking, roughly equidistant between where we came in, and the (ahem) facilities. So not only was Abbey attentive to our needs from the start, it continued throughout the meal, she was friendly (not just the 'Have A Nice Day' type where someone is obviously repeating a memorised script, but every word seemed genuine), helpful and informative. As for the food, it was as delicious as we remember, well seasoned, and as well presented as humanly possible. (I challenge anyone to present a bowl of beans as anything other than a bowl of bean). On the whole, mainly thanks to Abbey's brilliant attitude and demeanour, a wonderful experience, one we hope to repeat before another 5 or so years pass.

What's happened, food has really gone downhill in the last couple of years.

Amanda was the most amazing waitress, she was so lovely and helpful. She even brought my little brother a birthday plate as she’d noticed it was his birthday (we hadn’t even mentioned in the booking). She is an excellent waitress who went above and beyond for us. The food and drinks were also top notch. What a great birthday dinner for us all, thank you Amanda for making it extra special!

After an afternoon of shopping, a lovely place to grab a snack or some food before the drive home. Always have a table, sometimes a little wait. Great service with good, tasty food.

Had a lovely experience here on the 26th November. Staff were very friendly food was great and very attentive to our needs. It can feel a little stressful taking out 4 children, but we were very welcomed and made space for. The food was great. The young lady who served us was super friendly, and timed everything perfectly. Was a great night when sometimes it can be very stressful going out with a big family but this was a really lovely evening.

Good food, lava fries seemed expensive upgrade from normal for just a few bits scattered on top. Service was wonderful. Restaurant itself was quite chilly, we had to leave our coats on.

7 of us to eat, pre ordered the table, we couldn't fit in the booth, told. Would 3 of you like to sit in the next booth.... We moved into another booth and chairs were provided, very cosy, 3 of us playing kneesy 🙄🙄🙄.... Eventually ordered, great waitress.... I had the double stack bacon cheese burger, the others had various combos off the menu... Mine came, the fries were cold, I asked for new hot fries, off it went, the plate came back with less fries than came with in it the first place...guess what.. They were cold..... I asked the waiter. . Just put your hand on those fries... They're the same as before.... His answer was... Please don't be rude sir.... He took them away again..... This time, the.... I assume... Manageress brought them back... Piping hot.... Great...... Eventually started on the burgers.... OMG... Horrendous..... Tough chewy beef..... The bacon looked actually welded to the burgers and the cheese was melted to beyond recognision..... I just left it.... My 2 sons took over the burgers.... They couldn't believe how tough they were...... £17.....for that...... The other plates were empty and everyone said it was good.... But sadly I drew the short straw.... They will be going again I suppose.... But I won't be joining them.....

Servers were great and friendly the food let it down, the bread on multiple dishes was burnt and or overcooked and hard as a rock and the music was a bit to loud to talk to each other at a normal volume.

We visited Frankie & Benny’s last week for my daughters birthday and the atmosphere was amazing. Although the food was a bit pricey it did taste good. Our waitress Laura W was fantastic with making sure everything was alright with our food and overall was a really kind person to chat to. Thankyou Laura W. 👍

Absolutely terrible. £17.50 for New York BBQ chicken (hunters chicken) not worth £17.50 at all. I sent the meal back as the chicken wa like warm, I was given a fresh hot chicken. I will not be going to this chain of restaurants again. I prefer to go and have a pub meal which is worth the price
