Had amazing time at Frankie and Benny’s during the half term with my little one . The food was a hit with the girls and our server Isabelle was so helpful and lovely with my little ones , going above and beyond for us.

Had a great time at Frankie and bennys on Saturday. We were served by a lovely girl (I think her name was Izabelle) she was wearing black jeans and a floral orange top with glasses. She couldn’t be more helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. Food was tasty and definitely worth the wait, we did have to wait a little while but it looked very busy so we didn’t mind. Overall a fantastic meal out for the family and we will be coming back soon.

Came in for a meal, food was lovely and the atmosphere was very friendly. All staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming, especially Isabelle who was very accommodating and respectful. Definitely will be returning!

We brought 10 kids for a birthday dinner for my 7 year-old (with 5 adults accompanying). Cataline (may have spelling wrong, sorry) and his team were FANTASTIC. From the moment we enquired, to the kids wolfing down the very child-friendly food, to the cake and happy birthday singing, it made for a really special experience. Thank you!!!

Didn’t offer the set lunch menu which have vastly reduced prices compared to normal. Had to specifically ask for it. Food ordered took 50 minutes to despite being the first customers in the restaurant that lunchtime. One item (of the three) that was ordered wasn’t even correct. Won’t be going back, expected cheap and cheerful but got neither.

I was hung over from yesterday, and had the best Arabiatta here. Very tasty and spicy. Josh’s service was professional and exceptional. I definitely recommend

After walking out of TGI Fridays with poor service and seeing their burgers were priced at £19 .. went across to Frankie & Benny's for a three course meal for just £18. Food was good but just as importantly, the lady server was super friendly and attentive.

Don't usually like doing reviews, but was embarrasing to raise this in the restaurant today, without any understanding from the staff. So, went in as family of 5 to take advantage of the so called 'kids eat free' deal. The service was slow, and un-friendly. We informed the waitress at the outset that we were looking for the kids eat free option but it was not mentioned to us that by ordering from the set menu, t would nulify the kids eat free deal option, for the two qualifying adult purchases. Really poor customer service and in my eyes, your kind mis-sold on the options available. To add insult to injury the manager told us to check the terms and conditions on the website before ordering the food, because it was not clearly stated on any of the menu's. In terms of the food, really bland and lack of it. It's a case of principle over price, even though the bill was a bit steep for what we had in all fairness.

Absolutely awful. Service was terrible, waited 45 minutes to be told what we ordered was not available, despite being told it was coming. Had to leave, admittedly we were not charged for our drinks, but this is no way to run a restaurant. If we were told earlier we would have ordered something else. Can't add a photo...didnt have anything to photograph ! Do not go there unless you want to be disappointed

Went today for a late mothers day celebration and was served by Amy she was absolutely incredible great customer service funny, attentive and had a lovely chat she is such a credit to the company the food was served quick and she was always checking on us to make sure we had everything we wanted like drink refills would highly recommend this place to anyone amazing 😀

NHS discount refused as it was an event day- a show was being performed at the local arena meaning they declined to give the discount, if it was a bank holiday etc I'd understand but found this somewhat ridiculous otherwise. Service was fine & food what you expect from f&b's. But I was disappointed with the excuse to decline a discount which is advertised online.

Terrible service, got my order wrong, took a VERY long time. Would not recommend this location to anyone looking for a nice place to eat.

We visited our Daughter in Cardiff and decided to try Franky & Benny's because none of us had eaten there before and we weren't disappointed. The service was fast, our server was lovely and our food was delicious. We'll definitely be back!

Lunch time staff were very friendly. Dirty dog was delicious as was the classic cheese burger. Food was fresh and wasn't long to wait.

The food was amazing, and the lady that attended to us had good customer service skills.

I'm hoping that the lady that serves me this evening sees this, I came in with my partner and our four children. One of our youngest is autistic and non verbal he has very limited tastes but she made sure that he could have what he'd eat exactly the way he wanted it. And when he tried to tell her what he wanted for dessert she was encouraging and patient. Excellent food, and excellent service.

Really disappointing. Usually really enjoy the experience of going here - recently it's been on a massive decline. We had to wait for over 20 mins to be seated, and then when we were had an awful time ordering and recieving the food. I ordered the 'classic burger', and it came with no cheese. The pattys (I ordered an extra one) were burnt, the meat overcooked, and then they just presented me with a slice of cheese on a plate to make up for it. We had no idea what an 'event day' was, all we wanted was an impromptu date together when we had to grab a few bits and pieces out. Apparently this 'event day' meant that we were ineligible for a student discount that has worked literally every single other time we have come here. Really not worth the price point.

Came on a busy day, they forgot the cheese for our cheeseburger and then brought out a single slice of cheese on a plate. Long waits and then when we showed student Id they refused to apply the student discount because it was an event day, we hadn't been told about that. The staff were lovely and attentive, no complaints about them, but will not come back

Fab experience, didn't book a table but was still seated for 2. There was a more limited menu than usual as we went on the same day the rugby was on, and discounts and deals don't apply on these days either. Service was reasonable given how busy the restaurant was at the time, food arrived quickly and was delicious. Would recommend heading here, on usual days the menu is much larger and food is definitely worth what you pay for it.

We went to eat as family of 4 on Saturday 27th Jan spending nearly £60 on meals and drinks and as I was eating my buttermilk chicken burger I noticed it was pink inside so stoped eating it. A little while later I got terrible stomach pains, cramps and has sickness and diarrhoea for a whole week. The doctor said they think it's food poisoning. I won't go there ever again.

Great location inside the city shopping centre. 🛍 A warm welcome from the ladies on arrival who found a table straight away for our large group. The ambience was nice and busy, we were seated outside on tables put together. We were served quite quickly, drinks were prompt, but meals took their time. When the food did come out, it was good. Most people were happy. We ordered a lot of different dishes. Pasta and pizza were a hit. My chicken loaded fries lacked chicken apart from a small peice on top, but was tasty. Good value for decent portions too.

Visited here with 5 friends, staff were great and helpful. The food was decent value, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I would revisit here.

We had a lovely time at Cardiff on Tuesday. Isabelle was our waitress she was very helpful and so fast! Anything we asked for it was there within minutes. Food was great and also really quick. Will definitely be coming again.

First of all, lovely welcome by the Italian stallion (I'm guessing he's the big boss), we were kindly directed to our table this is when we got introduced to our waiter of the night "Choo", there was no rush when deciding our meals and he made sure everything was good, very professional. Throughout the evening Choo was polite and greeted us with beaming cheerful smile every time. He even went the extra mile and brought out our birthday cake (as planned by our parents) and sang! Also played "happy birthday to ya " in the background by request of our parents. We left him a tip along with some of our birthday cake. We felt apart of the frankie and bennys family 😌 CHOO CHOO CHOO XXX

Lovely restaurant and food, shame the staff let it down… we ordered food but also ordered starters, we had finished our starters and more than 45/50 minutes after the table was cleared of the starter plates, we had to chase up the mains. The lady waiting on our table was shocking, she knew something was up and avoided us like the plague, she asked tables around us how their food was etc but completely avoided us. At this point we asked who I presume was the manager as all waiting staff wore black and she was in a different colour. Upon asking the manager she went into the kitchen and you could see a big ginger haired chef in there giving it the “I don’t care attitude” laughing and looking over passing comments to which would appeared to be sly digs about us. The manager come over and apologised for the delay which was the decent thing to do but by then, the families good positive atmosphere had depleted and we were all ready to leave. The manager did provide a discount and although that was a nice gesture, I’d have rather paid full price and had a good time as it was for my daughter’s 12th birthday. Safe to say we won’t be returning to this restaurant, although good effort was made to try compensate, honestly people would rather pay full price and have a positive experience rather than 20% off and a negative experience and memory of our daughters birthday.

Chu was our server today and he was amazing. he made us feel so welcome and relaxed. his recommendations were perfect and spot on for both me and my friend.

All food was delicious and came hot, offered drinks as soon as we sat down and all service was very fast. Special thanks to our server Chu. He was very helpful and consistently checking in on us to offer us more drinks and to see if we were happy with everything. Overall a lovely place.

Ate here recently for my birthday and was served by lovely lady called Lucy. She went above and beyond with us in everyway, what a star she is. She was so polite, kind, caring, thoughtful and funny she made us laugh with her humour. An absolute star and asset to your team. Food was good and despite how busy it was, it wasn't long a wait for food or drinks.

Really good food and service. The Christmas burger was absolutely delicious, and my wife enjoyed her meatballs. All the staf were very helpful. After a shocking lack of service from TGI Fridays, which resulted in us walking out, we came straight over to Frankie and Bennys. We were greeted by a lovely lady who was really welcoming and friendly, she showed our to our seats and took our drinks order straight away. The drinks arrived quickly and our food order was taken. The food arrived quickly and was absolutely beautiful. The staff, the atmosphere, the food, everything was brilliant. We will definitely go back when were next in Cardiff.

Had lunch there today and haven't gotten off the toilet since ruined my trip to Cardiff first and last frankie and bennys for me and 50 quid for 2 burgers and 2 drinks no thanks

This is my second time visiting this place, and can I just say that our server Molly was absolutely fantastic! She was so attentive and kind to us. She served us last time, and she's definitely the reason we keep coming back!!

I want to leave a good review for Mauro. I have been a frequent customer at Frankie and benny’s Cardiff and Mauro has always been a helpful staff. I hear he makes the garlic pizza bread as well, which I always find is particularly delicious. 5 stars for great service and good food.

Food was lovely, been a while since my last visit, a huge reduction to the menu. Were asked if we wanted a dessert, but no-one came to take an order! So just paid the bill and left.

Having booked a table for a party of 9, we had to wait for a table to be prepared for us as the table we were meant to have had diners still on their main course. Once we were given a table we waited nearly an hour for our drinks order. When the food was presented 3 mains had to go back 2 due to portion irregularities and 1 as the food was cold. Our server was very good and couldn't fault him. We were told that they were busy but it was completely empty on the second floor. Won't be returning here.

Friendly staff but the food was non existent if you had an allergy. My partner has an allergy to poultry and due to this there was pretty much only a salad avaliable to her due to food prep and cooking cross contamination. Don't think I'd visit anyone of there's chains again. We left after one drink.

I am not someone who writes reviews, but I feel my experience yesterday needs to be shared so that staff can learn from the experience. I am a regular Frankie and bennys customer. My partner and I attend at least monthly, as Frankies is our favourite date night spot. I have a severe peanut allergy and have been living with my allergy all my life. Up until yesterday, I have always had a good experience with my allergy. Yesterday (2/11/23) I was greeted and asked if anyone in my party had an allergy, to which is explained about my peanut allergy. The waitress asked me if I wanted to look at the allergy iPad, to which I said I was okay not looking at. I explained that I am a regular customer and always order the same foods and i often use the allergy iPad. As a result, I know my meal is safe. The lady advised that was fine and showed us to our table. Another waitress then came to our table and said that she was aware I “refused” to look at the allergy iPad. She stated that “it’s not just about ordering the same foods, it’s about cross contamination”. Firstly, I didn’t refuse. I was offered to see the allergy iPad. I was happy to not to look as I always order the same meal each visit. In previous visits, if I’m automatically handed the iPad, I have always looked. But yesterday I was offered, so I felt okay not to look. I explained to the waitress that I understand cross contamination, which is why I told the waitress who greeted us about my peanut allergy. We made our orders and then our waitress asked another waitress who was passing by, to look up my meal on the iPad, as I had “refused” to look at it. I felt this was very rude and belittling. The waitress then returned to my table to tell me that the meal I had ordered was ‘May contain tree nuts’. Which I explained that was okay, due to peanuts being a ground nut, not a tree nut. The overall presentation of the waitress felt very school-teacher-like and I felt very judged. Overall, I feel better training is needed for the Frankie and bennys team in Cardiff. I understand it may be intimidating for some waiters/waitresses to serve someone with an allergy. However, there are better ways of communicating and asking questions. I felt this approach was very aggressive and completely belittling. Cross contamination is a risk, however instead of putting blame or the ‘threat’ of cross contamination onto the customer, it is essential that the kitchen cleans their equipment before preparing my meal. I’m sure the kitchen do this, however the way the waitress communicated with me was inappropriate. In addition, if staff can not trust my judgement and decision making, please ensure they are properly trained to realise that a peanut is not a tree nut. I feel very disappointed with this customer service and I hope staff learn from this infuriating experience.

growing up frankie and bennies had a reputation for being juvenile food, so we didn't think it was for us. took a chance again and now keep on coming back. the meatballs of this branch were so tasty and gorgeous homemade tasting sauce. lovely staff too :)

Went for dinner tonight with my husband and our two kids - from the moment we stepped in our server Molly was absolutely lovely, she offered our little ones some colouring sheets and was very patient with them whilst they ordered by themselves. She took extra care in making sure our food was exactly how we wanted it (little ones can be fussy sometimes) and gave us great recommendations for our meals! The food was absolutely stunning and the portion sizes were more than enough (had to bring some home with us lol!) the whole experience was truly amazing!

The service was amazing, the food was delicious 😋 we had to get doggy bags so that's tea sorted! We would highly recommend your restaurant. We will be back! Me and my friend made a special visit here from Devon as we were seeing Busted in concert this night and decided to have a bite to eat at our favourite restaurant. I of course had the spaghetti carbonara and as always never disappoints, always tastes so yummy. The staff here were super friendly and very welcoming. Excellent customer service and all round 10/10. Couldn’t fault a thing. Will definitely be revisiting here again on my next trip to Cardiff 😊👍

Revisit after last year, fortunately met by the same lady manager as last year. We have extensive food allergies and after last year her doing her absolute best to accommodate us she did not let us down again this year. Her service is superb and the kids thoroughly enjoyed eating out as it comes far and few between. A little kindness ans understanding goes a long way. Thank you so much.
