Frankie and bennys in Stoke-on-Trent

I have always loved a F &B’s breakfast so we went there this morning for breakfast for my husband’s birthday. However, unfortunately the menu has completely changed and they no long offer a traditional English breakfast (bacon/sausage/beans etc.) It is also much more expensive. I have no idea why F &B would change this but I’m afraid it is certainly misguided and I feel many people will stop going for breakfast at least. The choice now does not resemble an English breakfast and I know it is an American/Italian restaurant but I do feel that you need to offer people what they love. The staff were amazing and I felt so sorry for them as we decided to leave breakfast and to go to Willow which did a gorgeous traditional breakfast. I do hope Frankie and Benny’s reconsider this terrible decision.

Had a beef brisket wrap. It was really good.

We just wanted something to eat before the theatre.. I can honestly say - it was perfect 😃 The staff were polite, the service was fast and the food was spot on. Also, it wasn't too expensive. If you've never been to F&B before I would highly recommend.. If you have been before - go again.

What a absolute waste of my hard earned cash!! Small portions and relatively expensive prices. I had pasta-Chicken Nduja, which tasted lovely but literally had 4 tiny pieces of chicken in. The sweet potatoes fries n £4.50 for a tiny amount of the scraggy things. Staff were somewhat disorganised and food arrived before the drinks. Under the table was dirty. They put the air-conditioning on, it was absolutely freezing, sitting in the arctic blast from it was not pleasant, a party of 8 we just wanted to leave. Then the Sneeky side of the bill came out. They quietly advertise discounts and special offers online but don't mention them when you order, like the free kids meals or 20% discount for NHS workers or free pizza for the kids with their exam results. We squabled and 'the manger' was called upon. We were told if you want the discount you have to mention when you book the table/arrive. Why? so you get a smaller portion 😂 (funny not funny 😠). We eventually got the kids meals free. I don't like Sneeky and underhand tactics. Wish we had complained more and walked away without paying, but we didn't. 🤔 Anyway we called Maccies for a Mcflurry on the way home and guess what... won't be recommending F&B's

lunch turned into dinner. Waited for 2 pizzas for a hour and half and waited for drinks for 45 minutes which the bar staff ended up having to bring to us. After a hour and 15 mins the bar staff had to come over and ask what we had ordered and ask the kitchen to make our food instead of any of the waiters.

Lovely food, but the booth seats are so small, if your over weight it’s uncomfortable to fit in, not many normal tables, but really nice food

Took over an hour for food to come out.we were told at one point that would be put in five mins twenty-five mins later, and only started to come out. Once food came out the meals were perfect

Today at Hanley Festival Site Staffordshire, My wife, disabled adult son and myself called in at your restaurant after a long days shopping for new outfits for our latest upcoming cruise. Hungry, we placed our order at 17:50 at 18:50 I could see our order on the counter (yes that an hour!) but staff kept looking at it, moving it out of the way and taking orders that were now being placed on the counter behind it, the cook eventually moved it out of the way completely to make room for orders she was completing, staff came and looked at it again and again and at 19:25 it was brought over to our table, stone cold and dried out. I asked to speak to the manager. I told the manager that we had been waiting for our food, for about 1hour 40 minutes and we new the food had sat on the counter for nearly 40 minutes and that I had seen him look at it and go away, come back later, look at it and go away several times, as had several members of staff! His reply; there was no ticket on it. So I presume by that, that there was nothing identifying whose food it was, so him “the manager” and all his staff just ignored it and left it to go gold and dried out. What is worse here, the fact that it happened, or the fact the manager thought saying “there was no ticket on it” was a satisfactory answer. I did not know how to proceed here, the food was inedible and we were hungry, but my son is autistic and is sensitive to confrontational situations, but I had to say we can’t eat this, please take it away, the manager asked if we would like to have it re-made, but at this point my son was rocking with anxiety and I needed to get him out and somewhere calm. I said I think we will leave it as I needed to get my son out, but we have not eaten any of the food, so expect that to be reflected in the bill, the manager said under the circumstances we would not be charged for the food. I had to get my son out and left my wife to pay for the drinks we had had while waiting for the food. When she joined me in the car she informed me we had not been charged. Although financially we were not out of pocket, it was nearly 2 hours of our life wasted, and caused terrible upset for us all and made my son unwell and myself very angry! I have eaten all over the world, from the best. to back street tin roofed single roomed establishment selling bush food, but never have I met a more dopey unsuitable for the job manager than the person who presented himself as the manager at your restaurant today, believe me no real American diner in the US would survive this way.

Took ages to get sat down even though it wasn’t busy. Staff didn’t really look like they worked there. Took ages to order, and didn’t have the lunch menus on the table either so that added more time. Food was really average yet over priced and my side order of fries never came. Staff too all over the place to even get their attention so just had to ask them to remove them off the receipt. Also. Supposed to be refill drinks but we never knew, so husband ordered a pint of Fanta and I ordered a half. My half was more expensive than his :/ . Good customer service would have been to offer us refill and tell us where it was surely? I don’t normally complain about restaurants, as I’ve worked in hospitality for years now and know what it can be like but there was a serious lack of customer service here as we felt invisible for the entire meal, and left feeling a little ripped off

Service was excellent , super friendly . I had the chicken and njuda pasta, surprisingly delicious. All round great meal with happy service and nice atmosphere.

Zuzu took our order and she was so informative about the menu. This individual gave great service and all round a friendly atmosphere was wherever she went.

We stopped for a quick lunch after hospital visit. Parking was in the retail park. No disabled parking right next to it. I wasn't in a chair so hard to tell how accessible for chairs. We were seated by a friendly member of staff who was sensitive to my disability leading me to a lower bench seat. Our waitress was Charlotte who was such a friendly character who was polite and engaging. We both really enjoyed our meals. We finished off sharing a brownie dessert but sadly no pictures as it was too tempting to think about photos. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely return.

We usually go to Frankie and Benny’s when we are at the cinema,driving home from holiday or on weekday lunchtimes.As we were staying in the Hilton as thought it would be nice to pop into Frankie and Benny’s as there was one walkable nearby which was nice.The experience was great.The food was fantastic and all three courses were delicious and faultless.For starters I went for the cheese and onion potato skins,certainly got the cheese there was so much on there!The portion was huge and the sour cream dip added flavour.The steak for my main was delicious and I liked the seasoning that was put on,but it was a little chewy but alright.As I’m gluten free my steak came with a jacket potato and it was tasty.But dessert was amazing,it was one of the best presented desserts I’ve ever had at a restaurant,the banana split was tasty,the vanilla,strawberry and chocolate ice cream was delicious and the cream was nice.Also I liked the brownie and honeycomb bits too and the banana itself was nice and fresh.Staff were friendly and service was quick.The atmosphere and decor was nice.Toilets and the restaurant is clean.However it is too expensive.Would highly recommend.The gluten free menu is brilliant as it has always been.Thank you f&b for an excellent experience.

Such a shame that restaurants are now ruined by uber eats and just eat. Been sat at our table for over an hour with no food, meanwhile can see that takeaway bookings are flying out the door.. terrible service and no wonder people don't go out anymore. **Update** Food arrived calzone was undercooked, burger bun was dry and the haloumi was dry and overcooked! Won't be coming here again!!!

Ordered the meatballs with garlic bread. And meat feast pizza..... wish hadn't bothered. Pizza was poor, meatballs required more sauce.

We used to like the restaurant but had noticed the portions getting smaller whilst the prices went up. Smaller portions at the same price might have been okay but then we see that’s happening in a lot of places so it’s not unique to this chain. The service and atmosphere for a family treat of fast food is usually nice. Recently, Friday night after shopping we went in and found it virtually empty and we soon found out why. Plenty of staff, really slow poor table service. The food took ages. The chips were cold, my husband’s ribs were not marinated as described, just a thick sauce poured over the top. Our meals looked and tasted like ready meals from the supermarket. Might have ordered another drink but never saw anyone. When I eventually decided we were not ordering any more or we’d be there till midnight, it took ages to get the bill, couldn’t even get eye contact with any staff. One that looked like everything was an extreme effort for her turned up with drinks we hadn’t ordered and rolled her eyes at us when we said we hadn’t ordered any and refused them. We won’t be going again, it’s too expensive for such a poor effort all round.

Came here on Friday for my mother in laws 60th. Table for 8 people had been booked but they hadn’t prepared one, wanted us to sit on one for 6 originally then suggested 2 separate booths. They did then move us to a larger table they’d pushed together - felt like we were inconveniencing them though despite booking well in advance!!! Then it got worse, took around 20mins for the drinks to arrive (what they’d actually got!) then the best bit nearly 2 hrs for the food!!!!!!! The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy at all either - had to ask several times if the food was coming out or not and only did when we said we were leaving. Clearly prioritising the takeaway deliveries instead as there were plenty of them being sent out whilst we were there!! Maybe should have ordered it via Uber to our table! Most definitely will not be going back there again!

Had a chicken burger. Chicken was chewy. Not very tasty. Chips portion was small and no side salad. Very expensive at £16. They will go out of business selling low quality food at prices like that. Loads better places to eat.

We visited Frankie & Benny’s for dinner, we were served with fast and reliable service, delicious food & affordable prices. An ideal family night out, will be visiting more often.

The staff were nice enough. Food was ok, but more expensive than a microwave ready-meal from the Co-op (And they're expensive) which seemed to have been cooked in the very same manner (in a microwave). £60 for 4 meals and 4 soft drinks, pretty much a rip-off considering the meals were ready-meals!

Had a fantastic meal here at Frankie and Benny's. It was a family birthday meal so there was a large group of us. Everything we ordered was lovely. The garlic bread was really nice, the calzone bursting with filling and flavour and the burgers really juicy and lovely. Can't fault the customer service and the attention shown to the birthday boy. We had a great time

First time in Stoke and we love a F&B's meal. Food was absolutely fab (cooked to perfection but this isn't why I'm posting a review! From the moment we stepped foot in the restaurant Charlotte was amazing. Getting us to our seats best placed for our little 1Yo, to making sure our 6yo was also entertained, upon asking Charlotte to make a few changes to our sons chicken wrap she had the kitchen make him up a build your own chicken wrap station on his plate with seperate pots 🥰. Her politeness and willingness to help as much as she could just made our evening so much better that we had to tip her twice. Safe to say we left with smiles on our faces and couldn't stop talking about the night. I would highly recommend this place not just for the food but becasue of the wonderful customer service we received as a family. Thank you Charlotte. Scott, Katie, Arthur & Molly. X

Myself and 3 friends decided to visit Frankie & Benny’s after going bowling, as there is a variety of good options available and it usually just does the job. As soon as we walked we waited to be seated for around 15 minutes, during this time all members of staff were aware of our presence but seemed to have priorities set elsewhere which was understandable as they were clearly understaffed and rather busy. After eventually being seated, we were served by a very kind gentleman who was constantly attentive and maintained a good attitude whilst being busy. We were told that our food would’ve taken at least 25-30 which was fine at the time. Until we watched 3 of our dishes sit under the light getting cold whilst members of staff would just wait and watch for the final meal to be ready. With working in hospitality myself, I understand it’s more pleasing for all food to be sent out together but I struggle to see the point when it’s sat there for 10 MINUTES. My carbonara was cold which I had send back and after being microwaved, it was better and hot. The side of fries we ordered were luke warm at best as well as both pizzas being only just warm. Totally understand the difference between having a team full of strong servers and being understaffed. It was just such a shame to watch the food get cold for so long. The tables are dirty and sticky as well as members of floor staff having to go and help in the kitchen. Would’ve helped if they knew that food goes cold after so long! Wouldn’t recommend unfortunately

Ordered on Uber via Bird Box, didn't realise F&B have other names but honestly the best wings we've ever had. we have been searching for some good wings that are flavourable for ages and we've finally found our go to. Buffalo wings are absolutely amazing!!! so tasty and cooked just right. The Korean chicken burger was also bomb, tasted super nice and was better than other takeaways we have been too. definitely recommend BirdBox/F&B and will be ordering again 100%.

I can’t say anything, pictures will talk for itself. Ordered a medium sirloin steak and this is what I got 😂 first picture. Then… I did ask to do something about it and the ‘Chef’ did for me a medium one … and the second picture again talk for itself…I am trying to be respectfull paying my bill and just go somewhere alse where the cleaning company does just the cleaning not cooking. CHANGE THE CHEF as soon as you can… those are the only good words that I can tell about the Chef, or whoever cooked my steak…

AWFUL EXPERIENCE !! Disgusting food. Terrible service. Will not be returning. Put me off for life. Arrived and took 20 minutes before offered drinks which then took about 30 minutes to come. Ordered mozzarella sticks but no cheese was visible inside. When food finally arrived after an hour of waiting even though the restaurant was not busy, we were shocked. The food was cold , the bacon was raw , the pizza base was not cooked thoroughly and the cheese looked out of date. We were put in an awful seat even though the rest of the restaurant was available. Smell of fish surrounded us. Unwelcoming staff. Worst meal of my life. Paid £50 for an appalling meal. I have enjoyed Frankie’s and Benny’s before but this experience of poor food and service will stop me from ever going again.

Not the greatest of visits. Booked for 10 people only to be split over two booths table next to us would have fitted all of us comfortably but apparently it was reserved. We were there two hours and no one turned up within the time we were there. We had to push the two round tables together and ‘make do.’ Ordered cups of tea and they were tiny for £2.30. When we ordered a second one we got a bigger cup for the same price. Felt ripped off. Milk came in an espresso cup as well not a milk jug. Toast well that was more like warm bread, had to send it back as it was only toasted on one side, still no better when it came back. Bacon on the pancakes was cold, the extra eggs we ordered were cold. By this point we had given up so didn’t say anything. Wasn’t even busy at all. Usually very good as well.

Well, this place has gone down hill! Waited 10 minutes or so before anyone came to the front desk to get us seated, waiters went passed but no-one said anything. Food was OK but nothing special. For 2 of us cost £50, definitely not worth it!

Came out for a meal with a friend for a meal and the meal was cooked to our satisfaction and the server was wonderful. She made sure the order was correct as I have a food allergy so she made sure it was cooked and prepared separately from other food.

We had walked in to try the breakfast as my partner really wanted to try it. Our waitress took us to our seat and asked that we use the QR code on the menu. After scanning the QR code, we realised it was displaying on both our phones that it had expired. So my partner tried waving to the waitress (with the red hair) who seemed too busy staring into space in the corner. After she was walking to give someone their food, she saw us waving to her for some assistance, but she decided to ignore us and looked like she was starting to take a break. After 15 minutes of waiting, we decided to walk out and not eat here again. Not a pleasant experience.

Always been go to, but service was a little poor perhaps they had too many orders to keep up. Will just try to forget the experience

On arrival we were greeted by Charlotte. Polite, engaging and very helpful. Prompt service even with a large group of 14. Charlotte took the time to chat to us and find out further information with regards to booking a pizza experience lunch. Great service and with a smile. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Amazing value for money. Party of 13 as a class trip for lunch. Charlotte our waitress was so welcoming and attentive. We have already booked for next Wednesday for lunch again. Charlotte is a real asset to the Frankie and Bennys team.

It was the first time (and last time) we went to this chain restaurant. It’s nice restaurants but… The table was filthy although the staff wiped it with bleach which was smelled as soon as we sat down. We ordered the beef and chicken steak and salmon. The food was just okay, nothing special on it, small portion and not warm enough. We waited 25 minutes which would be okay if other customers who came later,didn’t get their order before us. Waitress said they needed to prepare steak and salmon from fresh, hence the delay. But … the steaks are done in 15 minutes including lie down. Sides and sauces are pre-made. I don’t understand why food in this restaurant is so overpriced if you will wait long and food is lukewarm. Paid £80 .

Assistant manager Matt went above and beyond when the third party delivery provider did not deliver our order. Such a wonderful team of people providing a great service.

Absolutely diabolical... Two of us had booked a table. The table was wonky, the bench was falling apart. Our food didn't come out together, then they forgot something completely. The chicken was so overcooked and not edible we left 3/4 of our meals. The place was relatively empty but the waiting on staff were too busy standing around on a mobile phone. We certainly will not be darkening there door again.

Was a good place. Food was tasty, drinks were a good size for the cost (large diet coke), and the dessert was great. Only qualm I have is there could be a bit more space between the table and the seat, but I'm a larger person so I would say that! Would eat there again though, happily.

I have been to this restaurant many times and always found the food to be great. Not been for a while but on this occasion the food was bland and tasteless. In the middle of winter they had the air Con on full and the place was freezing. I won't be returning unfortunately.

Charlotte was amazing. She was warm and welcoming and a big smile of her face. Charlotte didn't rush us to choose of the menu or what drink to have which was important to us as we wanted to spend time together. She has been outstanding and any company is lucky to have her.
