Lovely friendly place for lunch. Great value for money

I met up with a friend for dinner tonight at Franco’s, and was absolutely amazed with the quality. I’m exceptionally hard to please when it comes to prawns, and usually avoid them for risk of disappointment, but these were plump, juicy beauties! The dishes were flavoursome, the staff friendly. I would happily return.

Food is fab here but a word of warning about car parking. Do NOT enter the disabled parking bays in front of the restaurant, even just to drop off passengers (and probably wise not to even if just turning around!), and even if the car park is quiet or empty - as the parking bandits will photograph your car in the disabled space and you will receive a £60 penalty charge through the post.

If I could give 6 on service I would.went above and beyond for my sons 30th and the burst balloon.food amazing.5 stats all way for me.

Ordered via justeat which they accepted, and then cancelled later on after 30 mins food prep. Clearly couldn’t be bothered driving to our village. If you won’t deliver, don’t include the postcode. Poor service and not even a courtesy call.

I must admit I was unsure when I saw the location but was happily surprised. We had a large group and even without pre orders the food was out and with all dinners with no issue. The staff are friendly and care a lot about service. They did it with personality which always makes the dinning experience enjoyable. I can understand why it has such good reviews. Everyone within our party spoke very highly of the meal. Mine was very tasty. Highly recommend!

Lovely food, service was funny and quick

Absolutely love this place. Have been going with partner for a while but we recently visited with a child who suffers from allergies. Nothing was too much trouble with them ensuring she could eat as best as possible whilst making sure she wasn't at risk.

Noisy, busy, friendly family restaurant. Loved our meals, it felt like a local in Italy. Pizzas the stand out dishes for us.

2024 update. Still as great. Service is top class, food as good as ever. Don’t bother with the chain restaurants at The Springs - come here for proper fresh food! The food here is delicious, and the service always excellent. There is also a deli/sandwich bar serving through lunchtime that’s also worth a try. It’s in a bit of a random spot if you don’t work in the area (middle of a business park) but worth the drive!

This place is unreal, we are lucky enough to have this fantastic restaurant a stones throw away from our home and we have visited many times but tonight was above exceptional. We wanted fish and were greeted with a variety for fish dishes on the specials menu, halibut was my choice and the monkfish was my husband's choice they both were fantastic, cooked to perfection lightly seasoned but just enough not to spoil the wonderful fresh fish, which might I add was a huge piece. Like I said, the food is always good, and I don't know why this restaurant isn't drowning in food awards. The staff are so professional front of house are always smiling through the pressures of a busy environment, but I have to say whoever the chefs are in the kitchen they should be proud of themselves because the food is exceptional the kind of food that makes your Christmas baubles tingle. Merry Christmas Francos, here's to many more amazing visits. 😙👌🤌

A properly authentic Italian dining experience that you wouldn’t get from a chain restaurant! Delicious food with plenty of vegan options, convivial service, great atmosphere.

What a lovely well kept hotel, very very clean and the room was outstanding 116, shower, bath refreshments and the bed was to die for! Didn't eat hear due to work evening out but looks very nice, would come back 100%

We ended up here on a Friday evening after shopping at the springs. We didn't book, but they fit us in. What a gorgeous restaurant, reminded me of the family Italian restaurants I went to when I was a kid. They were great with our baby and toddler and the food was incredible! A definite recommendation.

We go regularly to Franco's and they are absolutely fantastic! A little hidden gem.... very welcoming, great for children of all ages, and the best food. 🫶

Very tasty Italian restaurant. The bar was set high when my friend had scallops for starter and they were fantastic. These take genuine skill to cook. We then had pasta, which was also excellent. Prices were quite high, but I'd much rather pay a bit more for this sort of quality than have a cheap, mediocre Italian meal, like at one of the standard chains. Easy recommend, 5*s all round

Sandwiches and takeaway service absolutely excellent. Women serving at the deli were very nice, polite and attentive. The manager/host who gatekeeps the door has no people skills whatsoever. Restaurant is not busy at all-takeaway side is. Purchased a sandwich at £7.00, sat outside to vape for a few minutes before going back to work. (it was pouring with rain also) I was sat for all of 3 mins. The host came outside to give me a telling off and a lesson in restaurant tax. Apparently, I didn't declare I was going to sit outside-so he subsequently implied I leave the establishment as I wasn't paying to sit outside. There is a way of talking to customers and explaining in a way that is not condescending or disrespectful. They did not want to apologise and the hosts attitude was laughy and patronising-he then called me argumenative as he couldn't explain his reasoning behind wanting me to leave. I have never in my life been asked to leave a restaurant as I didn't declare I was sitting outside. I also did not fit the demographic of the other customers-I may be wrong, however there was no need to behave the way he did... It was unnecessary and impolite. I think he just didn't like how I looked or was not the right 'customer' Shame as the sandwiches were great. Feels like they only want a certain type of people visiting the restaurant. Don't visit if you are of a darker complexion. It's pretty obvious what the issue was here.

Tonight we visited Franco’s and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Franco and the staff are very welcoming, polite and go above and beyond for their customers offering a wide variety of meals. We highly recommend visiting here… we are regulars and will definitely be visiting again soon 😊😁

What a fabulous place. Service was excellent and very genuine. Loads of lovely things on the menu made it hard to choose, but everything everyone ordered looked great and was really enjoyed. The smoked haddock pasta was so tasty. Good value for money. Will definitely be back ❤️

Family group of 7 in the area after a Sunday morning of activity - we wanted to stick together with a celebration vibe and we all needed to eat. Quick search for options and Franco's won out so we called ahead to check they could take us and rocked up. Hadn't realised how much of a business park it would be in but that just meant there was a good car park out front. It. Was. All. Fantastic! Everything we wanted - extensive menu and brilliant, funny, friendly staff. The food's the thing though and it was all amazing, authentic Italian dishes, cooked fresh and to perfection, and between us we ordered many and various things. Our family felt like part of the Italian family by the end and we are ever grateful for that hospitality. We will certainly be going back. And don't be discouraged by the general outside area of the business park - once inside you could be in Roma. Buon appetito.

I doesn't get better, genuine food, genuine service

Been a few times, always excellent food. This time was special as it was for my brother in laws 80th birthday. 8 adults having 2 courses, 2 having 3 courses. Less than £400, brilliant. Very good size portions, will be going again soon for mine and my sons birthday

Absolutely delicious food, great service and a very nice atmosphere

Came here for the first time to celebrate a birthday 40th recommended by family cannot fault the food but had to wait 1 hour 30 mins for our starters then another 50 mins for the mains and asking numerous times how long they then offered us dessert before our main and then one of the waiters said he didn’t even work there was an electrician and was filling in having got our drink orders wrong 4 times the manager then said have a round out drinks for free to then put them on the bill and after we asked how m he was very rude and said u paid for what u were given and then we said we was unhappy with the wait and do we get any sorry or compensation he said no very rude and had all the waiters surround our table when we had children there too we spent a lot of money and can assure you we won’t be going back after our first visit very rude and the wait was ridiculous!

Don’t visit!!! You will get a £100 parking fine regardless if you register your vehicle and show the establishment receipt and bank transaction. Avoid at all cost, literally.

Very rude old owner /old manger

Terrible service, long wait for food and when mentioned it to manager he was rude. I would avoid visiting, food average and over priced.

Went last night, very very busy! You have to book on a weekend to get a table. When it’s that busy yes you have to wait a bit for your food but it’s because they cook everything fresh to order. It’s worth the wait! You can even see into the kitchen!

Visited in March 2024 The Good The food itself was the standout part of our experience at Franco's. It's not streets ahead of many other Italian restaurants in the area, but it certainly holds its own and has some standout dishes (looking at you Tuscan Sausages, Borlotti Beans and Nduja). The location by Thorpe Park, means plenty of parking, lots of people, and will continue to ensure this place remains popular. The Bad Truthfully, there's nothing outright bad. You'll have a good experience here. But back to that location... being in the corner of a nondescript industrial office building means they'll always have an issue generating much of an atmosphere. You're not going to be magically transported to Tuscany or Campania, and the interior decor is quite sparse and basic. But why should they change it? This place is already very popular and has a good reputation locally. Top Tip Dont forget to register your vehicle number plate as you enter the restaurant to ensure the parking remains free

Had a lovely meal with family for my eldest son's birthday

Little disappointed. My meal came out cold in middle . Took it back they said sorry , returned same said dish heated up . Companion had then finished there's when my came back . Would have been nice to offer a little discount or something , .. hence a 1 star been removed ..

Went to Franco's this evening and thought the food was delicious itvis very expensive for what you get I order chicken in a mushroom and wi e sauce it was a chicken thigh in sauce cost 25 pound also order brocoli and herb roasted potato's which was another 11 pound and I only got two stems of broccoli and 3 potato's halfed left a bit disappointed we also ordered garlic bread but never got it

Amazing Italian food, one of the best steaks I’ve ever had, never had a bad meal at Francos!

Came her to have a quick lunch whilst shopping. Ended up ordering more than we needed but still finished it. Whilst the staff is very friendly, they’re just a little niggle. When I told them I was sharing with a three year old, they failed to let me know that the dishes were cooked with chillies. Maybe it was my fault for not seeing it on the menu but it should have been pointed out to me. Ordered spaghetti for the little one afterwards but served linguine and whilst not a major prob, the little one did point out it wasn’t round enough lol. He ate it all tho! Asked for strawberry ice cream and was given strawberry sorbet. Again it might not be a big thing but sometimes if it’s not what is ordered, at least let us know before serving it to see whether it was okay first.

Way too much garlic in everything, I love garlic but its definitely overpowering in volume in everything.

Very attentive waiters Food superb

Visited here on a Tuesday evening, have to say I’ve never been before but was impressed with how busy it was. My guests and I also met Franko himself who was a great character. An old school Italian chef who knows his game. In that regard, the food was genuinely quality. Everyone was impressed with it the standard. It was my first visit but won’t be my last. Very impressed.

Lucky find while visiting the area

The food was really nice but it is expensive. Our part of the bill came to £65 for 3 of us which only included 2 adult mains, a kid's meal, dessert and a (£9) glass of white wine. Also, the place is really noisy. I was struggling to hear the person sat opposite me, never mind the others along the long table that our party of 15 were sat at.

This place is highly recommended the food is amazing you gotta go xx

Wow! What a find! The nicest meal i have had in years. Every meal was delicious and the portions were very generous. Service was amazing too. Everything was just right!

We’ve visited a few times for lunch and have tried a variety of things on the menu from the mushroom and bruschetta starters through to pasta, pizza and chicken dishes. This is an authentic Italian restaurant and the food is absolutely delicious! Freshly made, beautiful flavours and excellent service from the staff. They regularly accommodate us with our mum who is in a wheelchair and they have good disabled facilities available. It’s not cheap but you get what you pay for and you won’t be disappointed! X

I’ve eaten there two nights in a row while on a business trip and had some really good, authentic food served with passion. The seasonal sea bass plate was absolutely great, the handmade lobster ravioli were awesome. I hesitated to go for 4 stars only because the decor is quite simplistic, but on reflection, this place is all about what’s in the plate. Happy to recommend, it feels like a genuine family place.

Delicious food and good service.

We recently visited for our first meal at Franco's, and what an experience it was! We've visited The Springs since it opened and somehow never knew that this place existed. The food was authentic and delicious. The scallops I had as a starter are the best I've had. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. But for Franco to take the time to speak with us at our table was the cherry on the cake. And what a character he is! 😁 We'll be back, and you should go too!

Always a great place our go to Italian restaurant

Had a prawn brucetta starter which was lovely, however the vegetarian calzone was bland, my partner also thought the same with his meat pizza. Service wasn't amazing, thought some members of staff came across quite rude.
