Blue Sakura Leeds in Leeds

What a once in a lifetime event! I had always dreamed of coming here and finally the opportunity arose. I came here as part of a big group of 10 and we were given 2 iPads to order our dishes. The choice was vast and a little overwhelming so I closed my eyes and clicked a few buttons. The dishes arrived quickly and they were all delicious! There wasn't a single thing I didn't enjoy. I did feel I was disgracing myself with the chopsticks though and the first thing I ate was fish eggs sushi and it exploded and I ended up with fish eggs all over me. And I forgot you weren't meant to eat the whole thing with edamame so I was struggling with that for a few minutes then realised everyone else was only eating the little soy beans or whatever they are and discarding of the pods. I really enjoyed the pudding too. All in all a great experience. Can't say it was very social as you are looking at the iPad choosing what to order half the time, and the rest of the time you are devouring the food. A once in a lifetime event.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant. The decor was lovely and so relaxing. Staff really friendly and very helpful. The young lady who came to our table with the tablet for ordering was very patient with us whilst explaining how to use it. The food was amazing. There was only one dessert but even that was amazing. We did go at lunchtime and had to wait due to not booking but it was worth every minute of the wait.

As usual I had a fantastic meal… lots of small dishes of a wide variety of meats, fish and vegetarian foods. Not one was less than delicious. You are given a tablet and order directly from that and the food is brought out as it becomes ready so the traditional starter/main etc does not necessarily apply here. There is minimal waiting as food comes out of the kitchens fresh, hot and quickly. I particularly loved the won ton soup and had two portions. Amazing. The edamame beans, seaweed salad, grilled aubergine with teriyaki sauce were really good. Then I had tempura crab tempura king prawns, tempura vegetables, a couple of hand rolls, Japanese style mussels. The list went on. I didn’t have meat or rice or noodles but sometimes do and, again, really good. By this time I was too full for the dessert so had a simple half scoop of ice cream to finish off. Highly recommend. Worth rebooking for busier times.

We came to Blue Sakura to celebrate our anniversary and our engagement and the staff were soo lovely and were very attentive. William greeted us with glasses of champagne and they even gave us a cute surprise at the end.

Each dish was flavoursome, the service was efficient and the atmosphere was great! The only downsides were 1) the lack of dessert options - sorbet or icecream would have enhanced the menu 2) the price of drinks

It was a wonderful evening. The food was so easy to order and came along very quickly whenever we ordered it, meaning it didn’t get cold and it gave us a few minutes between ordering to have a rest. The choice was enormous, there’s something for everyone. My daughter is vegan and she was delighted with the choice. My favourites were there-sushi, tempura king prawns, vegetable spring rolls-to name but a few. It was delicious. The service was also very quick and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Amazing experience, one of the best restaurants in Leeds. Sand was my waitress, and she was lovely and friendly all throughout the evening.

The sushi's rice quality is very poor, dry and hard, it does not even have the inherent sweet and sour taste of sushi rice. The stir-fried dishes taste like Chinese food. Aside from the professional service, I found the food to be far worse than take-a-ways.

If you know what good food tastes like don’t eat here. Yes food is okay but is comparable to the sushi you’d find in the supermarket or a cheap fast food shop. Lots of the produce is definitely frozen and not fresh, sushi rice is terrible quality. Honestly could have eaten more but had enough of the poor food after a short while. Menu is also very limited to basic unoriginal items with nothing unique or interesting so gets boring very quickly. The iPads are a cool idea and I see why the place has lots of good reviews (buffet, fancy food on paper etc.) but the actual food quality is rather poor. Definitely not worth £40-50 a head. Plenty of other non buffet style sushi restaurants at lower price points with much better quality.

Had an amazing time! Came here November 1st for dinner with my partner. The food was just divine, absolutely worth the price. This was our second time coming here and was even better than the first. There were so many options from sushi to yaki soba to steak, and all of them were cooked and plated to perfection. All my compliments to the chefs. My favourite meal was definitely the soft shell crab- absolutely incredible. All the portions were great as well- left feeling very full. Also staff were lovely, Felicia was an absolute star, looking after us all evening and making us smile. Couldn’t recommend this place more! Pricey but worth every penny! Thank you so much, will be coming back soon :)

This restaurant was an amazing experience, had a lovely greeting by CK who guided us through our first time there. We were constantly looked out for which made everything even more pleasant. We've tried different types of seafood we have never tasted before and had fantastic time. Beautifully served and tasted amazing. Throughout our visit CK often came over to make sure everything is okay and made some fantastic recommendations of what to try. Afterwards, Genevieve took over from CK and made sure everything was pleasant and smooth until the end of our visit. It has been a very lovely and thoughtful gesture when Genevieve approached us and offered my fiance a little birthday treat, which she was very surprised with. CK passed on to the team that it is her birthday and they even knew her name. It was extremely pleasant surprise for both of us and we had fantastic time. We will definitely come back again.

Absolutely blown away visit asap

Me and my partner were in Leeds in the night and came across this place and so glad we did. It is all you can eat across the whole menu and all food comes out fresh. You order food on an iPad and the waiter brings it over for you. Never experienced anything so good and unique before. All the staff were really friendly and attentive.

£47.95 for a Buffet!!!! Blue Sakura looks great. The staff are really good. But the food is average at best.I'm not sure I liked being spoken to like a child by the waitress. "Don't waste food or else"??? She may not have used them exact words, but that's how it felt. Essentially, this is a buffet. I did not think I was going to a buffet. The only thing different to a normal buffet is that you pre-order what you want, and they bring it to you. It comes out really quick, which means it's already cooked. That is not a good sign. If you like buffet food (which we know can be pretty poor), then there are places you can go to where you can get reasonable food at a reasonable price. Then you shovel it down your gob. This is not that place. The sushi was poor, and the rest of the food was pretty average. The only things that were good were the prawn tempura, chicken wings, and lamb chops. However, being ripped off for reasonable price food is not what I want to get involved in. Some dishes may reflect the high cost, but there were some that did not meet the high standard. In the end, with drinks that came to £66.00 each. If you are a big eater and can pack away lots, then you will love this place. You have only 2 hours, tho. Then you get kicked out.

Felt it was very pricey for an OK experience. Food was OK but did not wow me, food came out very quickly but almost too quickly as it just sat there and became cold and inedible. Staff were not really friendly and just rushed from one table to another with no conversation. £47.95 a head plus the expensive drinks just ruined it. Won't be going back, far too many nice dining experiences to try in Leeds

We came here for the evening all you can eat dinner and loved it! It’s “small plates” style dishes that are served. You order as many as you like from iPads at the table, so you don’t have to wait for anyone to come and take your order. This is so much better than a buffet that you have to queue for like a lot of other restaurants. All the dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. The staff were all welcoming and very attentive, despite it being very busy at the time we went. My only criticism is the soft drinks were a little expensive (in my opinion) with the prices for soft drinks being just a few pounds less than the alcoholic ones. Alcohol was reasonably priced so I just stuck with wine - if you don’t drink alcohol, you will have little choice but to buy an expensive soft drink. Though not a huge issue, just consider this when choosing a drink. The mocktails were pretty good too, I’d say these are worth the price as they are hand made but I think £3+ for a Diet Coke that’s just poured into the glass is a bit unreasonable. I would still come again though as the price for the food is very reasonable so this balances it out. It was a birthday dinner so a little bowl of ice cream with a sprinkler was brought to our table 😊 The bill came to just over £185 for 3 of us, including the alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Aside from my above comment about the soft drinks, the overall cost of the bill is definitely worth it for all the food you get and I can’t fault the place. This review doesn’t do Blue Sakura justice with the limited photos I took but it’s definitely worth a visit and we are hoping to return soon.

Visited here for our son's Birthday. The setting is very impressive. Staff are friendly and really quick to serve you. The food itself was really enjoyable. We visited on a lunch so the menu was slightly more limited but still a really good choice available. All that we had we really enjoyed. Only slight issues were that like many other places they have opted to add on the service charge to your bill which I don't agree with. In addition the booking was for 90 minutes but after 60 minutes we were told we had to order our last selection of food. As a place to go for a treat we enjoyed it and will be back at some point.

Epic time amazing food great price

Went for our 7 year anniversary and everything was perfect, very attentive service from darrel and the team and unbelievable food, 10 out of 10 every time!

Darrell was brilliant and really catered to our needs with a coeliac member. All staff were great and the food and service was amazing.

Surely the best All You Can Eat in Leeds. This place is a family favourite, last night was no exception. The staff are always efficient and polite, and the manager went above and beyond for me yesterday in helping me to reclaim vouchers I had misplaced. Food was as delicious as always.

First choice when it comes to eating Sushi! 30£ per person per 90 minutes for unlimited orders of halal, delicious and genuine Japanese food ! The service is innovative, quick and neat! The crew is friendly, welcoming and smiling at all time!

Great service by Darrell and great help with allergies

Went with the family on a Sunday afternoon and it proved a very good spot for it. The all-you-can-eat system still produced great quality food and it was great to be able to try so many different things rather than be tied down to one thing. Everything was splendid so it was hard to know what dish stood out the most, but that speaks volumes for how good the range and quality is.

Simply the best! The atmosphere, food and service. The all you can eat Japanese restaurant is extremely well organized and you order your food through their iPads and they deliver to your table within a few minutes,very fast. 100% recommend

First time here but I have been to many Japanese Buffets in the UK & ROW. Fantastic food, especially the Sashimi, great service and atmosphere. Only minor niggle is a small bottle of still water was over £3! Overall though it was a great experience, lots of choice,

Everything here was a 10/10, got a voucher from friends to come here on a date and used it well. The welcome was very accommodating and all seats gave an amazing view of the decor. A well explained explanation of how the all you can eat system worked so was happy to give a service tip at the end for all the hard working staff. You never like 100% of the things you have at an all you can eat however all the food was up to a good quality and I would love to come back here if the place was a bit cheaper or it was a special occasion. The sushi and warm food were both amazing along with the dessert which had condensed milk and was surprising on how light and fluffy it was.

Our first experience here and wow, gorgeous. The pink lemonade is 10/10. Everything in the menu we enjoyed and it was to die for. Quick amazing service. This is my all time favourite restaurant. The food is always exceptional and the service is above and beyond. This particular visit was for our anniversary & we were made to feel extremely special. Our server Genevieve was so lovely, she really needs a shout out. Such amazing value! Atmosphere is always amazing too! I can’t wait to come again.

Food is good. Our server Genevieve is fabulous. Mens toilet only got one room which is ridiculous for a restaurant that can host 100+ people. Lamb chop is nice too.

The food and the vibe here was very lovely, especially the Mussel with grilled cheese one. It was nice to finish with fried bao bun dessert. The servers are also very attentive, especially Moe who helped us with the missing order and took care of the table. Lovely experience! xx
