Excellent pizzas and very pleasant service.

We opted for the antipasti board , 2 pizzas, sorbet and tiramisu . The food is excellent with a very friendly service. Definitely recommend.

I had more expectations from this place. I think i would suggest all to go in Rudy’s than Franco Manca

Soft crust...hardly any toppings and to top it off the table is so small you can't even have 2 people sitting opposite each other!! Disappointed after paying over the odds for a very mediocre experience. We just wanted to leave so badly that we didn't even take any pictures.

I want to tell you that my experience with Franco Manca was wonderful! the service very fast and the pizzas were perfect and the ingredients very fresh. Congratulations to the whole team!

Second attempt at a visit. First was a few months ago on a weekday lunchtime. We were one of two tables in that day and waited 10 minutes with no service before deciding to leave (we caught the eye of the member of FOH staff on the way out and they didn’t even question as to why we were leaving?) Anyway, I didn’t leave a review then as we didn’t try the food but tried again today, on a similar lunch time. Met at the door by a member of the team without a smile we had the choice of where to sit so chose our seats. We were one of four tables (one of which was eating). And then the wait began again. I thought I’d time it this time - 13 minutes before we got our order in. Desperately slow considering how quiet it was. Service, when we did receive it, was unpersonable. Food came quickly. Dough was great, toppings were average to poor. Mine was smothered in parmesan. Don’t get me wrong, I love cheese, but I would’ve just ordered a margarita with added parmesan (I think I ordered a number 8?). Would’ve liked to have ordered a second drink but the member of the floor team never returned to check on food. Got up to pay, didn’t pay service. Prefer Rudy’s across the way. Probably won’t return to this restaurant.

As soon as I came in Anna greeted me straight away with a personable smile and a quick chat about how I was, how my day went? The food was 10/10 and the tiramisu is like eating a cloud, sooo good! Anna was lovely and gave me some great recommendations on where to enjoy during my stay in Birmingham! What a great person and she deserves a raise! Can't recommend the place enough, great ambience and atmosphere!

Amazing! Had a lovely time, great food and lovely, kind staff. Lots of nice food options, I have not a single complaint. This location is particularly beautiful, couldn’t stop looking up at the ceilings.

Reservé una mesa para 8 personas, el proceso fue fácil, cuando llegamos al lugar nuestra mesa estaba lista y estaba particularmente ocupado, tuvimos un invitado extra que apareció, pero el personal era flexible y solo dijo si encajas entonces no hay problema. Muy buena pizza, un poco más larga de lo habitual, pero eso fue muy aceptable viendo lo ocupado que estaba el lugar. Todo el mundo disfrutó de sus pizzas y todos nos fuimos muy contentos, felicitaciones al personal por manejar una noche tan ocupada con gracia.

Delivery only but SUCH DELICIOUS PIZZA! None of the chain pizza places comes near for quality and flavour. Beautifully light base and delicate toppings (and deliciously spicy toppings for my daughter’s pizza choice). Only wish we lived in the area and could order regularly!

We ordered the pizza with anchovies and one of the specials. Both pizzas were a bit tasteless and wet, with the dough being burnt. Toppings were also minimal and not well placed. Won't be returning here any time soon!

Returned to Franco Manca for their excellent pizzas and speedy service. I ordered their no2 which is a classic margarita with an olive oil and tomato base, topped with mozzarella and basil. Simple, delicious- would be happy eating this everyday. Their garlic bread is also crispy and light, bursting with garlic and olive oil flavours. Their no7 consisting of salami and caramelised onions is also a second favourite pick. Franco’s Pizzas are thin, light and bursting with flavour and with the ambiance of the restaurant and the friendly servers, you cannot go wrong booking them in for lunch or dinner. Will be returning to sample their homemade tiramisu and affogato. - P.R

Altogether, nothing bad, but there are better places to get food, including pizza, in the city centre. Pizzas are very good, but not exceptional, especially given the price. They were doing a steady trade on a late Sunday afternoon, and, though friendly, service was a little slow - we waited a good 10 minutes for the bill for example. The staff just weren't terribly attentive, and kept disappearing. They also pre-added the 10% service charge to the bill (and the card machine), which I always think is a bit of a liberty. I don't begrudge it generally, but I'm not sure the tip was well earned on this occasion.

Ben here a few times, nice atmosphere and great pizzas with a good selection of sides and drinks...

I always enjoy getting pizza from Franco Manca. The staff are usually great and the restaurant has a cool and trendy atmosphere.

Non pensavo che a Birmingham si potesse mangiare una pizza praticamente identica (anzi forse anche più digeribile) di quella che di solito mangio in Italia (zona Salerno). Sono stato veramente fortunato a scegliere questo locale. L'atmosfera è cordiale, il personale è cortese e gentile, l'ambiente è l'ideale per una tranquilla cena. Lo consiglio vivamente a tutti quelli che vogliono mangiare qualcosa di qualità in un ambiente informale.

Just called the Birmingham restaurant (31st Jan 1045) - dreadful service. Was looking to book a table of 8 for this evening the lady offered a couple of time options neither of which were suitable, I asked what capacity she did have for the time requested which she advised then said 'ok bye'. Sorry, why such an abrupt end to the conversation - am I missing something!? This was just one example of the poor service received, I asked who I complain to she noted she was the manager, I asked who else I could speak to in the company to which she replied she 'cannot give out that information'. No worries, our custom will go elsewhere, on this occasion and in the future!

Estaba buscando reservar una mesa de 8 para esta noche la señora ofreció un par de opciones de tiempo, ninguna de las cuales eran adecuadas, le pregunté qué capacidad tenía para el tiempo solicitado que ella aconsejó y luego dijo 'ok bye'. Lo siento, ¿por qué un final tan abrupto de la conversación - me estoy perdiendo algo! Este fue solo un ejemplo del mal servicio recibido, le pregunté a quién me quejo ella notó que era la gerente, le pregunté con quién más podía hablar en la empresa a lo que ella respondió que "no puede dar esa información". No te preocupes, nuestra costumbre irá a otro lugar, en esta ocasión y en el futuro!

Absolutely fantastic experience! All credits to Jav, Mike and Fed for their fantastic service - they went above and beyond. Honestly, some would disagree with this statement, but… Franco Manca > Rudy’s. I SAID IT!

rude staff on an empty Wednesday afternoon kept us standing up waiting for twenty minutes while setting up all the tables; rather than setting up just the tables that are required. when i questioned the lady i was told “if you want to eat here, you wait!”

Seriously, the best sourdough pizza with variety other than the regular margheritas for vegetarians. I will say, I had absolutely exceptional service from Mickeal. I've been here many times, and the food is always excellent, but the service has been getting worse and today was truly terrible. The restaurant was only a quarter full, but we were all seated as close to the window as possible. Service was slow, unhelpful, and bordering on rude. I don't think I'll be going back, it's no surprise that the competition across the street is so much more popular.

COLD PIZZA ALERTTTT!! We ordered more than 2 pizzasz, and both were COLD,👿 We were group of 5 people, I thought Franco Manca would be good but No!! I could not understand that how can Neopolitan Pizzas be served all cold, now i ask them that what can be done cause could not even cut it through the butter knife , so final they said nothing can be done They were not attending the customers properly, we had to wait 2 to 5 minutes for person to come, I don't know if they were exhausted or just like that. But I had high hopes and it all got drained.😭 Worst of all ,There "OREGANO" seasoning got finished,😱 , I actually personally asked politely after we ate food, to one of them that they should atleast keep oregano that's basic. We didn't like the service so we even asked the table attended to remove service charges, but she made a face and said only some places do that. We eventually gave them the tip. Please management see through this thing, I am disappointed, I had big hopes from you guys🥺

Visited for a late lunch and just had drinks and main pizza. Have visited many Franco Manca before so we are aware the quality however this one was not up to the usual standard. We were a group of three, and two of the pizzas were slightly undercooked. The toppings were sporadically put on top, with one in particular(#4) just a “splodge” of tomato at the end, and a meat special with slimy basil. The main issue was with 1 of the oils, where the lid was not properly fastened, so on pouring the oil the top came off and a large amount of the chilli oil came onto the pizza. A new pizza was offered, though I declined. When alerting the staff they said a number of them do that and took no action. When it came to the bill I then alerted them to the oil again, and separately put it to one side though it seems as though the staff are aware of issues, but they do not have any intention of fixing them unless prompted. Since we visit Italy on a number of occasions, we do see Franco Manca as one of the better chains, though on this occasion, we will let down partly by the staff to fix issues, and pizza. However, this one experience has not put me off the rest of the chain.

Visited here several times in the past always had exceptional service. However tonight was given a table not fully serviced. Had to wait a long time to order drinks. Once ordered food came in a muddled order. No personal service in that a conversation would be welcome..

Brilliant evening - fabulous food & service from Chloe - had a £5 pp pizza offer which was a right pain to activate in the App - might have been helpful to put all instructions in the email - without Chloe’s paitience & help we would have given up.

Superb pizza, great service and a really nice vibe. The sour dough base is next level and the crust on these pizzas you could eat on their own!! Draught beer too!!

Rammed, had booked only 5 mins late to the table considering the queue out of the door. Service was good food was great. Had reasonably sized pizza on a sour dow base and a couple of pints of an IPA.Bit of a trip to the toilets, but hey ho. Would definitely go back when back down in brum

Had the Christmas set menu. Great value. The food and drinks were fantastic. Friendly atmosphere and the staff couldn’t do enough for you . Not my first visit and definitely won’t be the last.

Pizzas were great, service left something to be desired. Had to remind them of our dessert several times, which we had already ordered in advance, after 20+ minutes of waiting we had to remind them again and then they made the ice cream dessert in a minute and brought it to us, so clearly they had forgotten or ignored the order before. No apology or even mention of the screw up. Pretty weird. Kind of a shame because the pizzas were great.

Really disappointed. Waited for 30 mins and no one attended us. All of the staff looking at us and no one came to ask or to check on us. Is this place racist or something?

This place is overrated. The salad with goat cheese seemed that they bought the cheapest one in the supermarket, didn’t even taste as it has to. Pizza is decent

Staff clearly don’t know what customer service is. We had reserved a table and went to the restaurant and the staff were standing around chatting with a few of them on their personal phones, not even taking notice of customers entering the restaurant. We stood waiting to be greeted to no avail so I had to walk across to the other side of the restaurant to get someone attention and interrupt the personal chat. I said we were waiting to be served but no one was bothering to help. I was looked at like an alien and then shown to our table by a waitress who was giving off major attitude. Not good. We went to sit down and decided this was not the type of establishment we would want to stay in so I asked for the manager ‘Michel’ and spoke to him about our experience. There was no apology or offer to rectify anything and I just got an ‘ok’. So off we went. I would never recommend anyone to visit this restaurant. Customer service is non existent.

Alia managed our group booking wonderfully, we had a short time frame to eat before an activity. The whole team were on it, serving our drinks, nibbles and then pizzas, which were gorgeous, piping hot and everyone was pleased with their order.

Had pizza no4 - ham, mozzarella, ricotta and mushroom on a white base which unfortunately was pretty bland. Service was super swift but I could not call it friendly at all. It was fine but I won't return.

I love Franco Manca and it's my first visit to dine in to this spot since I've moved to Birmingham from London. It was a busy night with the Birmingham Christmas Market on but they found me a spot and the service was quick and the food as excellent 👌🏼 as I have come to expect. Beat Pizza 🍕 ever!

Went for a solo dinner on a busy Saturday night (everywhere was fully booked) and was greeted with a big smile and warm welcome by their lovely host Christal-Faith who was courteous & personable. I hadn’t booked but after some deliberation she assured me a table within 45 minutes and booked me in. she offered me drinks and snacks of my choice whilst I waited. She remained calm and joyful even though there was some impatience from customers. She continued to update everyone on their wait and thank everyone for their patience throughout the service which I thought was very admirable. The food was lovely and the wait was reasonable considering how rammed it was, I had the number 10 pizza and their homemade lemonade. Thank you Christal-Faith for fitting me in, Thank you to who served me (i didn’t grab a name) and chefs for the lovely pizza. will definitely be coming back

Excellent food and service. Pizza well prepared and big enough not like the tiny ones they serve at another well known chain. Just as you’d expect from a well run restaurant.

We stopped in for lunch on a busy Saturday, there were plenty of tables available for a popular central restaurant. The food was fantastic, very competitively priced and the service was quick.

Had the loveliest waitress! Christal was so joyful and made the dine in so much more enjoyable!

Place was beautiful, food was great. Its not the best for me as the only vegan option is a special and therefore unknown until the day. (I like to know in advance). It was quite but staff seemed unhappy (I guess real people) and maybe not as attentive as I would like. This may be more of a reflection on working environment.

Saturday 26 November, 1pm, my husband and I had not booked but there were still tables available. Ordered 2 pizzas: Margherita and Marinara. They seemed to me to be filled with quality products. The texture was a little too soft and the marinara had a burnt bottom. I don't speak English fluently and I didn't point this out to the very kind waiters.

christal was amazing she was running around more than anyone, food was amazing everything just took a little longer because she was the only one serving loads of tables by herself!

We visited this place on a Saturday night without a reservation. We were greeted by a nice girl at the entrance and warned about a short wait - about 20 minutes, but we were seated even faster. Drinks were brought very quickly, the food was delicious, and the service was fast and attentive. We were pleased with our visit, will definitely be back again!
