Delicious, good-value sourdough pizza and great service from Jav. We came with a 5 year old and felt very welcome.

Ordered no.8 sourdough pizza for delivery, must say they do the best sourdough base. Absolutely loved it. We ordered another sourdough from “The Stable Birmingham” to compare the two, the one from Franco Manca you can see the pockets of airbubbles and actually taste the sourdough, so soft and fluffy, loved the texture. Anyone looking for proper sourdough base, highly recommend it!! Will be ordering again soon.

I've visited the restaurant 3 times and probably won't return. The pizza's are below average when compared to similar chains such as Rudys and Pizza Pilgrims. Gluten Free pizza's are available but aren't great.

First of all an admittance that we were late, we did however send someone ahead in time to order a selection of pizzas for when the rest of the group arrived. The food itself was very nice, the experience of the restaurant and the staffing attitude was dreadful. They refused to sell enough alcoholic drinks so that everyone had a drink, brought the bill over before the food had been served and behaved rudely throughout, bar one waitress who was apologising on behalf of her manager! Despite the food being very nice I would never set foot in there again. Fortunately we all understood the situation so it wasn’t embarrassing for the business host, but for the restaurant they lost an awful lot of money that we didn’t spend.

Arrived a few minutes early and my son in law asked if they had a high chair which they did but no offer to get one we just had to lift one down from the stack of chairs. Drinks and food came quickly and the pizza was nice however as we were sitting there having just finished we were asked if we wanted anything else which we didn’t and then within seconds the bill was given to us followed just as quickly with the card machine it was as though they wanted us out! From start to finish we were in the restaurant for around 40 minutes for a party of 6!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had a fantastic experience at Fanco Manca in Birmingham city centre! The walk-in atmosphere is relaxed, with plenty of seating available, making it perfect for a casual meal. The focus here is all on the pizza, and I have to say, the sourdough crust was absolutely excellent—crispy on the outside and delightfully chewy on the inside. The servers were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall great vibe of the place. It's clear they take pride in their craft, and it shows in every bite. If you’re a pizza lover, this is definitely a must-visit!

Beautiful decor, went it for the tiramisu which was lovely and reasonably priced

Ordered on Just eat and received a garlic dip... no pizza or cheesecake. The restaurant wouldn't help and justeat refused to help so I ended up paying £13.15 for a garlic dip. This is why I will never eat here, someone made a mistake and neither Franco or Justeat wanted to help me.

Even though the lights were out the sevice was excellent and the food was delicious

Absolutely love this place! the service is second to none, all the staff have the knowledge and are trained to answer every question thrown to them. The menu had changed since my last visit but still very impressive and especially happy to see the tiramisu is still on. Delicious pizza, fresh salad and the drinks are great! Always look forward to our visits here, the welcoming, friendly manager and her wonderful team do a fantastic job!!

This spot is perfect for lunch or dinner. Food was phenomenal and restaurant was very clean. The staff were very friendly and any dietary needs were catered to as my mum is vegan.

Great sourdough pizza, a must go place for pizza lovers. The pizza is thin and tasty. Nice views of the pizza oven and really enjoyed the dips available. The scotch bonnet dip was moreish but definitely packs a kick!!

Food is impeccable but service was unacceptable. Sunday and only a handful of tables being served. 15 minutes until we was asked about drinks. Another 20 mins until we ordered food and another 30 until we got it. Kids were restless. Would definitely give it another chance.

I ordered a pizza margherita but what came was literally a pizza with only tomato sauce and just little mozzarella. Half pizza literally had no mozzarella AT ALL. It’s actually a pity since the pizza was good but unable to enjoy it. I will never go back again.

Brochetta, salami and caramelised onion, with tiramisu for dessert and a pale ale. Excellent starter, best pizza I ever had and perfect dessert. Staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was great. If you are in Birmingham, make sure you come here.

It was very busy when we arrived, so we had high hopes. On reflection perhaps it was too busy, with a full house and Deliveroo riders lined up en masse. The pizza was under cooked, so spongy and the artichokes in the salad hadn’t had the hard outer leaves removed which resulted in having to spit them out or cut them myself. The combination of flavours in the salad would have been lovely had it not been for this. So we were very disappointed. We asked for the bill and it arrived almost immediately with a “optional service charge” already added. All a bit sad and not the quality experience we had hoped for overall.

Terrible visit. The staff took quite a while to take our order with little enthusiasm. We then seen one smell the sauce to see if it was off while preparing the food which was very off putting. The pizza was average and undercooked. The chicken and spinach bites were really bad, visually it looked horrible and tasted even worse. Left me with a sore stomach. Wouldn't visit again

Quite widespread chain of pizza that resemble closer their real Italian counterparts opposed to the American fast food style like Dominos. It is a welcome change, but they stopped half way. It’s not the full Italian pizza, but it’s not the Dominos either. I only visit with friends, not a place I would choose to go myself. The place is wide and spacious, staff knowledgeable and friendly and surprisingly they have lots of wines. Located in the little Italian corner in Birmingham.

All bang average until I received my bill and found out I was charged £3 extra per added topping almost doubling the cost of the pizza! An extra fee for toppings was not stated on the menu which is why I wasn’t best pleased if I was told prior or I was made aware on the menu I wouldn’t of ordered the extra topping! Very disappointing

Food was OK, I have had better at other Franco Manco's though. The service was poor though. The team spent more time stood around chatting near the pass than taking care of the guests, no suprise it wasn't busy. What made it poor though was that when we asked for the 'optional' service to be removed, and suggested a payment with a tip we were told "no, it's this much".

Lovely location with a lovely ceiling and decor. Lovely atmosphere and the pizza was delicious. I had the number 10 which was a pizza with truffle and cheese and mushrooms. It was delicious.

Really good, as good as the other famous pizza restaurant 2 minutes walk away Really good food, a slightly smaller menu but more specials Comparable cost and good coffee also Franco Manca is a slightly bigger restaurant and a lot more lighter than the other one and all in all give Franco's a different vibe 👍 No booking options on the website but we just rocked up on a Saturday afternoon and we went straight in 😁 Recommended 👍

One of the most efficient teams I have ever witnessed. They were actively preparing and serving meals for the entire time we were there (almost 90 minutes) without any breaks. The meals were all excellent and the service was great. Our sincere thanks to all staff.

Lovely eatery. Fast service and not too crowded. They accommodated my little baby with no issues. Lunch special is reasonably priced and quality off food is excellent.

Asked for Tap water and they charged us for bottled.

We had an incredible night here! My husband and I ordered two drinks, an entree and two pizzas which all came out promptly and to a high standard. Our waiter was genuinely kind and chatty and made us feel welcome as visitors to the city. The burrata was delicious and both pizzas came out hot and with generous toppings. Highly recommend!

My friends all loved their pizza, the base was delicious but I just didn't get it. To me, it was like a naan bread with some cheese on top. Total personal preference. But good atmosphere, good service, my mates loved it, but just wasn't my cup of tea.

Lovely place for a lunchtime treat. We had the £10 pizza and drink deal for a friend's birthday and it was amazing.

Serves tasty Sourdough base pizza and I can recommend the no logo bottled beer to go with it. My friend had a gluten free base which he enjoyed. All served quickly by friendly staff.

Service is good. However for rhe price of the pizza and what you get isn't great. Pizza was very greasy and wasn't what I had expected after being recommended to try here. Maybe it was an off day so would go back to try again.

Whilst the food was lovely, unfortunately the service and the dining experience was poor .. might as well have been a take away. We were initially greeted and seated which was fine but then everything else we had to flag and wave people down. It wasn't even busy which was was the frustrating thing, at one point there was 3 members of staff just stop together talking. When we did get someone over to take our order , the only words we got out of her was 'are you ready to order' no other communication and the body language was terrible, I felt like an inconvenience to her. The worst thing was then that they automatically added a 10% service charge. My thoughts are that no one is bothered as they know they add this one anyway and they will get a tip either way as it's awkward to ask for it to be removed, but I did in this situation. Like I mentioned before no complaints with the quality of food or speed of food but the dining experience just wasn't worth it, I'll be sticking to Ruby's.

Good experience at France Manca. I believe the pizzas to be the best I’ve had outside of Italy - feel like genuine Napoli style pizzas and I haven’t been disappointed after a few visits now.

Slow to take drinks and food order but very quick once you have ordered it. Crust seemed more chewy than crispy.

A different pizza experience, did the lunch menu £10+a soft drink and £10+£2.50 alcoholic drink. Pizza base perfect, I was told a sour dough which tasted non greasy and lighter. Gentleman serving was helpful with choices as first time here. Opted for lunch menu decent toppings, garlic, anchovies delicious,curizo pizza very tasty with selection of extra dips.( You get selection of some pizza's off main menu) IPA ok,lager ok. Ideal for a lunchtime special, only thing take a cushion,looked to be old school chairs. You can opt out of service charge.

A very disappointing tasteless pizza. Once I had eaten the chorizo the very sparse tomatoe and cheese was tasteless and barely warm. The waiting staff didn't ask me how the food was even though half of it was left on the plate.

i had a very good experience at Franco manca the food was amazing and the customer service was great, we were served by a waitress named Susan which was very nice and patient with me and my friends, we will deffo come back to the restaurant when back in Manchester.

I went to this place 3-4 time. Their food is like 10/10. Will go there again. But not happy with their service. When I went yesterday I ordered orange juice but waitress gave me pineapple juice. I ordered salad she forget to bring salad. And their is so slow. I hope they will improve that.

I am giving 1 star just for the service that was provided. Been there on a Thursday and it wasn't that busy, but we still had to track down one of the staff to give us the bill for us to pay. The food was way too oily and the pizza looks like and tastes like it does not have any sauce on it.

Would not recommend for Vegans They had no proper vegan option on the menu - the only thing they had was a plain pizza base with tomato, which is not really a vegan option in my opinion. In the end, I decided to add vegan cheese, peppers and plant based meatballs - and each topping was around £3 - this added almost £9 onto the price of my pizza. This meant that in comparison to my friend’s meat pizzas my pizza was much more expensive - felt unfair as there was no set vegan option. They also don’t offer ketchup or any complementary sauces, they expect you to pay £2 a dip, which as a student is pricey. Lastly the service wasn’t that great. Disappointed as this was my first time there.

This was my first visit and most definitely won't be the last. My pizza was a taste sensation 😀

The pizza was absolutely delicious! So perfectly made, and all of the ingredients were tasty and went together perfectly. The ingredients are clearly well sourced and of high quality. A special mention for all three serving staff who were exceptionally friendly, helpful and made the visit all the more special. We can’t wait to return. Pizza is our favourite food and this is quite possibly the best pizza we’ve ever had. So glad we found you!

Nice main salad and pizza … but when I didn’t want to sit next to the kitchen entrance and sit at another free table your staff appeared perplexed….also when it comes to paying the bill… given the bill states service is ‘optional’ the server should advise if he can add the service charge before just putting a card reader in front of rhe cistomer

I went to eat this pizza on the first day of the new year. I read the reviews from previous parents of international students and thought it should be good. As expected, I was not disappointed. Not only was I not disappointed, I almost had a king's meal by accident. environment: The environment of the restaurant and the appearance of the pizza are both very online. The most eye-catching feature of the restaurant is the large pizza oven. The floor tiles at the door are indeed beautiful, and the large white floor-to-ceiling diamond windows are also beautiful. Serve: At first, the bottom of my pizza was burnt. After talking to the young and beautiful waitress, she immediately took it away and gave me a replacement. In the end, the more expensive pizza was deducted from the bill as a compliment. The service was beyond reproach. 🍕Dishes Halloumi Potatoes Pizza 3 £9.85 Halloumi Cheese Potatoes Pizza No. 3. It was delicious Parmacotto Burrata Pizza £12.25 This No. 10 pizza is specially marked with a dotted line. Garnished with smoked Burrata cheese and based on yellow pepper sauce, it looks very good. Very tasty! Burrata cheese is also called bursting mozzarella. Buffalo cheese is made of mozzarella and the filling is R ricotta cheese and cream. prosciutto parmacotto is cooked Parma ham. Other toppings include mozzarella cheese, fresh basil and black pepper. Great food and great atmosphere. Can't beat the pizza here. Plus point if the Halal chicken and sausages on the pizza.

I visited in the evening on a weekday when it was nice and quiet, but I'm aware they have good lunchtime deals on where I have seen queues build up outside. The pizza was great. The homemade lemonade and the Negroni were ok. There are similar places nearby which I prefer slightly more, but overall this is still a great eatery. They accept Amex here.

Consistent experience. Pizza is good and often left-field options are on the menu. Service is usually quite swift, although sometimes a little lacking in attention. Not really sure what would improve it. Some of the street pizza vans do similar and hit better tastes. Maybe the dough is fresher? Dunno. Hard to fault generally though.

Service is good and the atmosphere is nice. The dough was lovely and pizzas were freshly cooked; however the toppings were a little bland and the house made lemonade was fairly watery.

Amazing service! Food was fresh, hot and tasty :) We called in advance to inquire about highchairs for my toddlers which they had and were very friendly! Chloe was serving us and she was very lovely, polite and very quick with our order. Will definitely be coming again soon :)

Really enjoyed our meal before going to the theatre

The pizza was not very nice as the chicken was chewy and the middle of the pizza was soggy and wet. The Server gave us the wrong drinks but corrected this. The server was only seen during the ordering process and not again. The atmosphere and lighting created a nice ambiance in the restaurant and good for a social setting. However I’ve had much better pizza elsewhere.

Disappointing. Starters and main served together, rushed and both poor compared to other Franco Manca restaurants.

The pizza at Franco Manca looked appealing, but unfortunately, the crust under was slightly burnt, giving it a bitter taste. The Aperol was served in a fun-sized glass, and for next time it would be better if drinks were provided bit faster then meal. The restaurant's ambiance was okay.

£9.25 for a tumbler of wine, wrong! . Average pizza. Not worth the money

Over hyped place, the hearty food which suppose to taste good, wasn't really that tasty, toppings were in one side, weird combination of toppings, bunch of people in their 20s making pizza (there goes the experience of Italian grandma), the tables are soo small that you can nearly fit 2 dishes . No wonder why people choose the Indian next door.

Popped in for lunch. I'd Not had a soda bread pizza base before. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. The cost wasn't too bad either. The staff are attentive and pleasant.

Always a great experience for food, service and atmosphere. Pizza always comes to the table cooked as requested and with a smile. Been served by Nelson several times and he is always friendly, attentive and polite. Have and will continue to support this restaurant!
