Fox & Goose in North Somerset

Love this pub. It’s great for grabbing a meal before visiting the airport. Have been here loads of times meeting friends and family for a catch-up. Food is lovely and very tasty. Service is always friendly and they make you feel so welcome And the bonus is on a good day the views from the terrace are amazing. Worth a visit.

Lovely welcome, staff were friendly. We were sat at the back with 3 big noisy families, lots of screaming and slamming doors so this affected our experience. We would have preferred to be sat by the bar where the two seater tables were and it was quiet. Most of these were down as reserved but no one ever sat at them. Food was nice, would have liked more peas as only had two spoonfuls on my plate. Pie was really lovely. Cookie dough dessert wasn't warmed up or gooey so won't be ordering that again. Good value for money with various deals every night.

After visiting Spain and having pretty poor food it was lovely to return to the UK and stop at this pub near Bristol Airport and enjoy a brilliant sundy lunch. Service was first class.

Booked to stay overnight before a morning flight from the airport. Excellent meal in the evening and very friendly staff. Great room and excellent breakfast in the morning before we left. Easy check in and check out. Added bonus we booked using Tesco vouchers via Hotels.com. Highly recommend.

I had good communication beforehand as we had a large group. We were a bit confused initially as to how to order our food but it worked out well as we could pay for our meals separately at the bar. Service was quick and the food was very nice. I'd brought a birthday cake which the staff kindly kept behind the bar and brought out when we asked

Very welcoming staff, menu was varied. Enjoyed my curry & husbands gammon was cooked well delicious!. Stayed overnight and was very comfortable with lovely clean & well presented room.

Didn't stay, just went for Sunday Lunch. Booked table very easily online, requesting a quiet table which we were given. Very friendly staff, prompt service which was good we didn't wait too long for our food. The food it's self was very good, my friend not being a very big eater was able to have a child's roast dinner, which was just enough for her - so happy no wasted food. We didn't feel rushed either, even though our time slot was for 1 1/2. To top it all we had a voucher too - thank you and we will return in the near future.

I visited Fox & Goose last night with friends & what a great experience it was! From the warm & welcoming atmosphere to the fantastic deals they offer during the week, this place is a gem. I ordered the chicken tikka curry & it was absolutely delicious – full of flavour, just the right amount of spice & beautifully presented. The portion was generous & you could tell it was made with quality ingredients. The service was friendly & attentive, making the evening even more enjoyable. I was so impressed that I’ve already told my partner we need to come back soon! Rooms basic but clean..not very warm.Bathroom ( a wet room) Like prison cell bathroom as I imagine..grey bare concrete walls and floor and very very cold..tea making facility..no biscuits tho..hairdryer ..

Me and my friends stopped here on Sunday at lunchtime, on our way to the airport. They were fully booked but let us stay for a pint at the bar. Great atmosphere, location and place overall and lovely staff behind the bar too. We will be back for food👍👍👍

We were welcomed on arrival and directed to our reserved table with the minimum of fuss.The food order was taken at the bar without any problems and the food arrived quickly and was very good. Excellent service all round.

Could not have had a nicer greeting from outstandingly polite and friendly staff. The atmosphere and surroundings were cosy, clean and bright - one of the nicest pubs/restaurants I have visited in quite some time. As for the food - very nice indeed. If I may make a polite criticism, it is that my Tikka Masala could have been just a little spicier and my partners chicken was a little dry. Nevertheless, we shall certainly return. I would also like to add that you certainly give very good value for money. So all in all, The Fox & Goose are very much on our 'we'll be back' menu.

The pub and food was lovely, the staff are friendly however there was no hot water for us to shower in the morning which was frustrating as when your going on holiday it’s nice to get up and shower. The couple next to us at breakfast also had no hot water so it’s not a one off. The breakfast was lovely however when booked it said it included breakfast but then when we got there we had to pay for breakfast, the room was really cold and the road was very busy so hard to sleep

My wife and I went with a couple of friends for first time. First impressions were cosy and welcoming. The staff were courteous and friendly. It was not a big menu due to pandemic but there was a nice variety to choose from. All four of us enjoyed our meals. We also noticed there are special nights during the week. We would definitely go back.

Rachel and her team are very welcoming and nothing is to much trouble. We have be customers for quite a few years now and always get a very warm welcome excellent value for money good quality food

Fantastic welcoming with great food. We turned up on a Sunday without booking a table, the food was great and so was the service. Hadn't been there in at least 20 years this will be our new go to Sunday lunch pub.

Stayed over for one night to be close to Bristol Airport. Room was comfortable, staff very friendly. Food was not so great but quite ok. All reasonably priced.

Very helpful & bringing out our buffet was well timed. Being able to accommodate 3 wheelchair users who arrived last minute was also VERY helpful. All staff were a credit to your company - thank you

Good size carpark Check in at the bar Information given My room was up a flight of stairs outside of the pub. The room was very spacious. Shower room is ok size. Evening meal was good, lots of good choices and excellent value. Breakfast not included but could be added if wanted., Bed was comfortable Wifi excellent Shower was hot and powerful Location is on a busy road, not really much around.

Greeted by happy helpful member of staff, gave us a table number, ordered a steak pie, chip & pea’s, must say it was the best steak pie I’ve ever had, will definitely be having it again.

The service was excellent,Staff was all pleasant, very helpful and accommodating. Meals came out in a good time and all very good standard we even had pudding too ! (Shame no lemon puddings though !) Can not fault this was our first visit and shall return when that way.

I arrived to find food before picking someone up from the airport and arrived just as the kitchens were closing. This would have been a nightmare but without any cajoling the lovely team offered to stop open long enough to cook me a meal. As a bonus it was steak night. Everything was great. The staff fantastic and the atmosphere relaxed. Never again will I wait in a car park near the airport. This is a perfect location and solution.

Visited with my friend for lunch. We were made to feel very welcome, we had booked this time as last time we didn't and were lucky to get a table. I had the Surf and Turf, which was delicious, the steak was very tender and also tasty. Despite being full up, I squeezed in Apple Crumble with Custard, and it was well worth it. My friend had Hunters Chicken, followed by Sticky Toffee both of which were also good. I would definitely recommend this pub.

Rachael was very attentive and helpful at check in and she and Leon were quick and efficient serving at the bar. The room was adequately spacious, clean and warm and a great location for the airport. The pub is charming and atmospheric and the food wonderful. Obviously worth travelling for as it was packed and a reassuring wait for food meaning it was done to order and well cooked. Very happy we discovered it and will definitely visit again. Thank you team!

Staff were very polite,curtious and very helpful.service was quick and the food was lovely. We had 3 course's and a couple of drinks and the price was below what I expected to pay. I would highly recommend the Fox and Goose.well worth a visit before your holiday or just out for a spin.

Booked a table of 13 of us. Despite there being so many of us, all food came out together, all hot and tasted beautiful. Wonderful customer service, lovely atmosphere, will definitely return again.

This isn't actually a review of the facilities as I haven't stayed at the Fox & Goose. This is a 'review' of the wonderful landlady who selflessly came to the aid of four complete strangers on Monday afternoon when the main road to the airport was blocked by a fallen electricity wire and we all thought we were going to miss our flights. She didn't want to take a penny from any of us, saying she just wanted to help. I think the others all caught their flights thanks to this incredibly generously spirited landlady. Unfortunately, I missed mine but I had check-in luggage and my flight was earlier than theirs. I'm now where I should have been on Monday and I find myself reflecting on those manic few hours. Imagine how much better the world would be if more people displayed such generosity and kindness to people she didn't even know - we weren't her customers. I barely got chance to thank her as I grabbed my suitcase and literally took flight, but I really cannot imagine a nicer host for an overnight stay.

Only went for Sunday lunch on way to the airport. Friendly staff, clean loos - food was nice with lots of choice. Convenient for visitors en route to airport - will definitely use again.

We were late for our booking due to flight issues the staff were very casual about it no worries we arrived our table still booked and menu given ordered food with my partner milk intolerant no worries hot food delivered and beautiful it was too a great end to our holiday thank you to all the staff

We visited before and after our flights from Bristol Airport, first time we hadn't booked a table but the staff we're able to find us one. On our return flight I booked a table but due to being delayed we were late by nearly a hour, but we were still able to eat. Our meals both time were great and the staff even better.

Lovely food and a lovely place to stay prior to going to Bristol airport. We enjoyed the atmosphere in the pub and good choice of food on menu. The dishes we had were delicious. Our room was nice too and we had a very comfortable stay

What a lovely place to stay. Staff were all friendly and welcoming lead by Rachael. Food was lovely and great value for money. Stopped overnight and the breakfast was excellent. We had travelled nearly 150 miles to meet up with friends and felt fully refreshed after a great nights sleep. Would be more than happy to stop there again.

Catching up with friends. Been here before and we like the area, staff and easy parking. The tables were cleaner than the last time we visited, which was good, please continue in this way. Food is generally good in terms of size and taste and well priced compared to other places. This time around 2 of us chose to have the Sharing Nachos for starters, however were told no Guacamole was available so were we happy to have more topping of the other items. When we received the plate the portion was smaller than anticipated, there were no extra toppings and we thought this was poor value for money in this instance and were left a little disappointed. The other starters were fine as were the main meals that the 4 of us had. We tried to use a 30% off promotion voucher and were told we had to have the entire email.......IT DOES NOT STATE THIS ON THE EMAIL.....just the code is required, therefore we were unable to use this. We did however use our 20% off blue light card. The trouble is that the code must be shown on the phone! How about people who are unable to use tech or lose battery power or are unable to use the phone in this manner, surely the card should suffice! We find this is really annoying especially as it does not state you need a phone to USE the BLC discounts. We know this is not your issue however perhaps USE other forms of ID if need be to verify cards, that way it is more inclusive for all. Your staff need to realise this and use a sensible approach....it is a suggestion not an order. Other than that, we always have a lovely time here. We will wait and see if things change on our next visit.

Food was really nice, and staff were friendly and attentive. Good value for money, especially with the curry and drink option. Medium sixed car park, was fine on our visit. Not too far from Bristol airport too.

We came in following the 30% off mains promotion and to look at the new menu. My partner and I both had the Mega Mixed Grill and was thoroughly happy with our meals. The staff were all incredibly friendly and happy to adapt small changes to the menu to accomodate our needs. The food came quickly and we got served immediately when arriving, ordering and clearing our bill. The restaurant is charming, the staff friendly and the food has been great on both occasions. We will happily come back again in future. **UPDATE** I've come to this restaurant many times since my initial review but the last time, a dark-haired, thin, middle-aged server was quite rude. Our order came out incorrect and while my partner and I were discussing the error, the server complained it was a heavy plate and we should make up our minds. I then queried that our mega mixed grills had chips on only one plate for some reason and instead of bringing chips for that plate, the server took the plate back which had the chips and REMOVED them. I then stated that she didn't listen and now we were two portions of chips down. She then brought out one portion of chips and we gave up the fight, still being one portion of chips down and just quietly ate our meal. Not felt this underappreciated as a paying customer in some time.

Quite nice pub with pretty good food, rooms are nice enough but not very well sound proofed, decent place to spend a night if you are using the airport which is very close by.

I had a mix grill and everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Lovely pub and great atmosphere.

The wife and I had to pick some friends up from Bristol Airport so we booked a table in The Fox & Goose after a long drive up from Cornwall. The service there is excellent from booking the table to the service in the pub / restaurant. The food was excellent, overall I can't rate the Fox & Goose enough, nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend a visit.

Way overpriced for an overnight stay. £135 should be more like £80, certainly not 4star. Part of shower is rusty, dirt around taps and rusty bin in shower room and the shower drain was filthy. One person behind bar had filthy t shirt and was sarcastic. Food was sub standard, had a bug in my coffee. We ordered 2 coffees, one was with soya milk the other was normal milk and the member of staff couldn’t remember which was which. Will definitely not come here again.

Came in today and had the cowboy burger. Great offer to have a steak and a drink for £13.50 . The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. They all served with a smile. I'm not much of a dessert person but my wife had the chocolate fudge cake which looked great. We will definitely be back.😁

We have visited the Fox and Goose about 4 times since our usual restaurant went into decline.if I had known about this place I would have gone before.the staff are friendly the food is good it is now going to be our regular restaurant.Only downside if the restaurant is full the parking is difficult you can’t park on the roadside so it may be a case of waiting for someone to leave

An excellent place to stop for a meal before flying out of Bristol Airport. Food and drinks of good quality and reasonably priced. It's become a regular stop for us when travelling now.

We recently held a 90th birthday celebration here. Through out the booking process the staff were responsive and helpful. On the day everything was flexible and well organised enabling us to enjoy having 4 generations of our family together for the first time. Overall it was an excellent day. There was an error on our bill on the day however once again it was sorted out amicably and a refund was made.

I stayed in the Inn for one night to fly out early the next morning. Excellent service! Especially the lady in the black and white stripped shirt, blonde hair. She really helped me out. Checking me in, helping me get a taxi for 4am. I had drinks and food, all just lovely. Only complaint is that ALL tables are reserved. So if you are staying at the Inn it’s a bit tricky to get dinner. Overall it was fantastic. Will stay again over the airport hotel!

Great food,friendly service,although most of the tables were reserved,they made room for 3 of us.The food was excellent,really enjoyed,even my fussy eater daughter enjoyed,so top marks.We fly out of Bristol often,so we will be back...Highly recommended.

A cosy pub with places to stay overnight. The room was quite spacious as for the single room. Very close to the Bristol airport. Super friendly staff! Unfortunately, as it is situated by the busy road, rather noisy.

Visited here again recently after a fantastic visit a while back and I was not disappointed. The staff were efficient and really very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, great care was taken for a friend of mine who has allergies. The food was really tasty and served quickly without being rushed. We enjoyed drinks the large beer garden which was really peaceful, fantastic that we could just scan the QR on the table and get our drinks brought to us so we didn’t have to loose our spot in the sunshine. We will certainly be back soon!

Literally popped in while on our way to Bristol Airport. What a lovely little pub. Perfect for anyone who may be slightly too early to the airport or if you would like to avoid the astronomical cost of airport grub. Perfect portions as well as lovely staff. Will definitely be coming in again.

Lovely place to pop into when travelling to or from Bristol Airport.

Restaurant was busy but a nice vibe. Staff very friendly and we had a table booked which was in a area that was a bit noisy. The lady behind the bar asked us if we wanted to move to a quieter area which was appreciated after a long drive. Also stayed in one of the family rooms. Great size for the 3 of us and comfortable.

Tom and Liv fantastic hosts nothing was too much trouble and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was outstanding thank you very much.
