Four Regions in Lambeth

Yesterday we dined at Four Regions and the taste, texture and aroma of the food was amazing. My family have been fans of Four Regions since 30 years and rarely have we had a bad experience there. The service has always been impeccable. Would highly recommend for a delicious meal. (Written by my 13 year old son) ❤️

This place has gotten progressively worse, year on year. This is to the point where the food is almost unrecognisable. This place USED to be amazing, now it’s just like any other trashy Chinese restaurant, but they have the cheek to charge what they’re charging. For example, the steamed hoisin duck buns that they have the nerve to charge £7 for are actually frozen ones from COSTCO!

Delivery meal. Paid £16+ for the chicken main alone. The sort of London price structure that will ruin mankind. Meal was average too. Avoid.

Had a fabulous lunch here today to celebrate Chinese New year. It was all good the but the whole steamed seabass was exceptional. It was cooked to perfection. Moist and juicy and full of flavour!

Service is 5 ✨ I've been to this restaurant on a few occasions and the servers are amazing. Great for group bookings.

Vegetarian options are there but wouldn't recommend as it smells like a fish stock. Non-veg is very good, my kids love it

Decent Chinese food on Kew Road

Absolute scam. Priced crispy duck at £19.80 on Uber Eats with a misleading photo that makes it look like a mini platter. What you actually get for that £19.80 price is attached photo - same as what costs around £9 in most Chinese restaurants.

Amazing food and very warm and friendly service. All the dishes were wonderful, large variety on the menu. We will return soon.

I collected a takeout (just one dish of noodles) and they had already bagged my dinner before I arrived and charged me 20p for the plastic bag when I didn’t want it in a bag. Please beware of this. The noodles were just OK and didn’t make up for the bad first impression.

Lovely ambience. We've had tender honey chili's chicken accompanied by egg friend rice. It was really tasty and fresh. Will be coming back

Decent duck and prawns. Disappointing beef and brokkoli. Service not good, they tried to serve man course with starter twice. Took a very long time to take our order, overall chaotic service. I have been before and it wasn’t like that.

Horrific experience. Sat at the back where there was a table of shouting men. Starters arrived with the main course, the duck came with no sauce/cucumber, wrong dishes arrived. We had to re ask for drinks order.

Dreadful. Their idea of roasted duck would bring shame to the whole of China. They take crispy duck and deep fry that in batter. I understand the cost of raw ingredients is higher but this is just dreadful. Just don’t put it on the menu.

I have been going to this restaurant for a number of years but I have found the last couple of times the food has been slow One of the starters come on it’s own and the second one came 10 mins after when the main came it was cold and had to wait while they warmed them all up this is the second time this has happened and the restaurant was only half full all the staff has changed I don’t know if the chef is still the same maybe it’s changed ownership

The service is friendly and still formal. I quite like the interior design, it’s very modern and elegant, they have air con which was relaxing to have because of the hot weather outside. They also have a nice selection of Asian food and drinks.

The service was incredible, and not too exaggerated. The waiter who served us spoke cantonese as well, which my mother found very useful when ordering. The food was also really authentic and reminded us of home since we moved to England from Hong Kong. I recommend the char siu bun as it was really fluffy and tender. This restaurant is truly a hidden treasure and I will definitely be coming back.

I lived in Beijing for a while and often find Chinese food in the UK to be poor. However, the Four Regions surprised me. The food was excellent, well prepared with great flavours and good service. I will return.

Dreadful. Got a delivery. Dim sum expensive and mostly veg, microwaved, and no sauce either. Crispy chilli beef not crispy and no birds nest supplied either. Food cold too. Very disappointing. Don't bother with this place

My order was so bad that I called the restaurant to ask if the chef has changed, they said yes. I’ve been ordering from this restaurant for many years and it has been reliably fabulous until today. It has been a few months since we ordered from here. My favourite crispy Chili beef nest was limp, greasy and tasteless. The egg fried rice was stuck together in a solid blob. My husbands dry Chili chicken was greasy, chewy and barely spiced. The duck was ok. It was delivered in good time though. We won’t be ordering from here again. So sad.

This restaurant prioritises take aways over serving its actually customers. Expect to wait over 50 minutes for your food, for it to arrive piecemeal so you can’t dine with your friend/partner. Very disappointing. Most people were complaining but still the steady row of men in helmets arrived to pick up take aways.

Tasty food, especially the shredded chilli beef and Kung Po chicken. Also enjoyed the salt and pepper prawns. These dishes were quite spicy, so take note. Good choice of wine and attentive staff.

Food was good but sadly service was a little lacking. It was busy but didn’t seem to be enough staff to cope.

Very rude lady front of house. Didn’t look up to acknowledge us enter the restaurant for 5 mins while she was on the phone and then made rude comments about us making a last minute booking. I was prepared to pay for some tasty if overpriced Chinese but not with a starter of rude comments and terrible customer service.

Food was superb! We ordered the ginger and spring onion beef. We also had the lycee crush drink. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. The restaurant is busy--we couldnt get a reservation and had to order take away.

Ordered a delivery and found hair in the food, never again.

The food was good, prices also good. The services wasn't great, the waitres misses order, they have to ask several times what was missing but failed to deliver so some of us started eating as the food was getting cold while half of us waited until they got the right food. As I said, the food was good the services not so good.

Great restaurant...the service is impeccable ..5 star...food is great..I would disagree with the reviewer who said crispy duck is best ever..I tried the other duck dish and it blended in better with the other courses..they also do fantastic cocktails ..wine list is great...highly recommend...I suppose the only reason I didn't give 5stars is that I would like better crispy duck..

Menu must describe what does a dish contain or made

Fake Chinese food, dim sum is frozen. Heated from microwave, not even steamed. Don’t come here if you are after authentic Chinese food. Not catered for people after authentic Chinese food. Typical Western Chinese dishes.

The food is average at best, dim sum is frozen not prepared freshly, didn’t taste good. Called the next day to mention the food had caused upset they were very rude and dismissive, made racist comment about as a non Chinese maybe the food not right for me. Will not be eating there again.

This was a regular haunt when we lived in Richmond so, on a recent London visit, we had to go back. A great menu and the food is outstanding. Probably the best Chinese food I have had. Service is always excellent. You must visit.

This place is amazing and found by luck. I was trying to remember the name of another restaurant I had ordered from nearby and just by chance this place made my Parents anniversary a good one. The staff were very helpful kind the food was delicious and we got our meal within 15 mins, we were close to their closing time and the staff were still happy to seat us. Definitely recommend this place and could be coming back in future.

Great prawn toast and the crispy beef is fantastic.

Shame , went there on Wednesday evening for a birthday meal , half the restaurant closed off so had an hour and a half wait for a table . Went elsewhere.

Normally this is excellent and the quality of the food really fresh. Last Monday I paid £80 for an extremely poor meal for 3 people. The duck was so dry it scraped my mouth and throat. Nothing was fresh. It felt like we were eating the leftovers from the weekend - the vegetables, the prawns, the salt and pepper squid... All dry and not fresh. Truly disappointed. And what a rip off for that price!

We had a lovely group dinner at four regions. The staff were nice and efficient. The food came in good time. All the food was of a good quality. The spicy dishes actually have a kick, and they have a lovely chilli oil on request. My Lychee martini was decent, if not earth shattering. It’s a great local restaurant if you don’t want to trek to China town!

Found this restaurant not too far from the theatre, decor was nice staff seemed OK, we ordered the fillet steak in fruity sauce, house chow mein, one hot & sour soup and a schezuan prawn, when the food arrived my partner straight away ordered a jasmine rice, reason being portion sizes were very small, the soup prawn dish & fillet steak flavours were ok, but the house chow mein was very salty, and the jasmine rice was not cooked through completely, did mention to staff and all they said they would have a word with the kitchen staff, won't be visiting again, as the portion sizes are small and overpriced.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. People shouting at each other, I may as well have been in a nightclub. The service is another level of awful, ignoring you when trying to get their attention, can’t even be bothered to take our order, trying to get US to write it down rather than bother to do so themselves. Even after this they managed to get the orders wrong, bringing the wrong drinks out and missing out others entirely and not even apologising when it’s pointed out to them. They then bring the food out in dribs and drabs, my partner had her rice a full 10 mins ahead of her duck dish, by which time it was stone cold. When one of our party asked for something that didn’t appear on the menu but was perfectly reasonable to request a member of serving staff physically laughed in his face. When the food did finally all arrive, it was bland at best and very frugal on the portion sizes and meat vs pasta / noodles ratio is ridiculous for the price. Avoid like the plague!

Richmond is blessed with good places to eat and meet up, however doesn't have much of a selection of Chinese or Cantonese restaurants. However, Four Regions more than compensates for thelack of variety. This is a solid restaurant serving classic meals (classic in those that you would expect here in the UK), its slightly more expensive that I'd like - however you are rewarded with dishes using fresh ingredients and the quality is well above standard. Some lovely round tables to dine with friends and very popular take-away service for local customers. It’s worth stating the service is functional, never overly friendly, but solid and reliable. And the drinks menu is basic. However - this is about the food, and even without much competition, they are keeping the standard and making it difficult to head elsewhere (or want for an alternative).

Attended to this place with my family my child noticed that there was something moving On her plate on looking closely it seem to be a maggot we address this situation straight away to the manager which got very angry and abusive towards my family we have now reported this registration to health and safety who are looking into this I would advise everyone to be cautious as the staff seem friendly at first but if there’s a problem can get very aggressive especially the manager was abusive towards me and my wife while my children were present definitely do not recommend

Food not bad. They close at 14.30 hrs and reopen at 17.30hrs. Easy to get to by bus

The food and service is great. I would recommend the set menu for two, comes with 6 starters, then duck spring rolls, order extra if needed comes with 8 mini pancakes and then 3 mains as in the picture. Do yourself a favour and order a great Malbec wine to go with the meal. Lush . :)

Awful service! booked a table at 2pm for 2:30 pm and they took the booking for a friend and I, who were meeting after a long time. However, at no point did they let us know their restaurant was closing at 3pm. They sat us down and took our drinks order. Approx at 2.35 they came and hurried us to place our order as their restaurant was closing at 3pm. So we placed our order rather quickly and reluctantly. They brought all our food over (cold and tofu completely uncooked) and stood right next to our table so encourage us to leave. Which worked, at 2:50 we took the bill left the food uneaten and left.

There’s nothing to not like about this restaurant, it came recommended to me by a friend. The food and service is great (and I have lived in Asia and am Asian myself, take it from me it’s good quality!) the interior is lovely, I always book one of the two booths with friends and family. The Dim Sum is fresh and delicious, they make my favorite crispy Cantonese noodles, the roast duck is great…a local favorite that’s worth the visit for your Asian food fix.

Having been going to Four Regions for years, we have always received good service, good food and good value for money.

The Singapore noodles were great, but everything else was bland. Very disappointing

Wow. Delivery takeaway arrived 20 minutes earlier than estimated which was a pleasant surprise. Dim sum and spring rolls to start were restaurant quality and the mains were delicious. We have chinese restaurants much closer but will order here from now on. Thanks!

Tasty Chinese on a street of trendy restaurants! A bit out from the main Richmond high street, but only a 5min walk from the station. Food was very tasty but not cheap. Very happy to have vegan items that used meat substitutes to provide a fuller texture experience. The fake duck was lovely. Good drink and cocktails menu.

What a lovely little gem this place is I would definitely recommend this!!! It's so nice inside a really cosy atmosphere great for dinner with friends or with that special someone , and the decor is beautiful The food was 10/10 I would definitely recommend the salt and pepper squid, beef chow mein and sweet & sour chicken but all the food looked delicious The staff are amazing always ready to help we had a lovely guy called Tony serving us he was loving and funny so thank you The cocktails are amazing so is the wine I personally will be going back!
