It's my home venue for darts on a Monday night

Good pub for a drink in. They do karaoke on a Friday night. Have yet to have food here as the kitchen was not open when I attended. Not a large selection of beer on tap but a decent variety

Music was very loud. Staff was nice.

Stopped in on the off chance of a meal, met by the manager which I thought was nice, ended up having a few drinks and a really nice chat with Paul, genuinely nice guy and very welcoming for my 4 year old son. Will definitely return, what a gem of a pub.

Overpriced bad food and drinks. Terrible service. Music too loud. Constantly causing nuisance with noises after 11pm. Local authority should shut this place down.

It’s fine. Lots of more interesting and frankly better places in Chichester. It’ll keep the rain off in a storm but the food and drink aren’t up to much and the entertainment is off cruise ship in the 60s. Upgrade your night - try the Little Monster or the Hole in the Wall instead for drink selection, the Pass for burgers, and literally anywhere else for atmosphere especially if there’s a band scheduled.

On Google it said that they were open on Christmas I walked up there in the rain to get Christmas dinner and they were closed and the staff was in the back smoking saying that they didn’t know why it said they were open on Christmas on Google.

Nice clean pub. Friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Live sports. Live music. Not eaten there, hence no stars for food. Would definitely recommend it.

A brilliant pub, real old skool feeling like a proper boozer. Never change it please. Can't fault anything. Provided the disco for Sharon's leaving party. Everyone was super friendly, it just felt like a pub should. So many have been ruined by being turned into white washed sports bars for people who have never set foot in a real pub. This is the real deal. Walk in get a pint. Feel like you belong. All the best team from Atlantic Sound Disco crew.

A good local pub, with a good selection of food and drink. Very quiet at 4:00 on the afternoon I visited, but filling rapidly from 5:30 onwards.

We came from Oxford to stay close by, so not used to the area. We chose this pub simply from its star rating. We weren't disappointed, the atmosphere was friendly, staff more than welcoming, food was lovely and the lady serving us, who also cooked the food, couldn't be more helpful. Definitely recommend.

Had a very nice nut roast here, lots of food and very tasty. Staff were very nice. Very welcoming atmosphere, dog friendly too.

Great place to have a family meal,

Great service. We stopped over for food and drinks. Despite the fact that the kitchen was closed a manager recommended nearby takeaway and we ordered drinks from the bar. We’ll definitely come back. What a great idea and outside of the box thinking !

We've just had a fantastic evening here! Xsara looked after all 8 of us (plus 2 dogs) with a big smile, lots of care and a huge amount attention. We were catered for very well with our mixture of dietary requirements, and food was parcelled up to be taken home! All the ladies were cheery and helpful, and it made for a fun and very enjoyable evening. Thank you, from all the family!

Can I start by applauding a staff member called Zara. We were a party of 8 with 2 dogs and the place was busy. Single handedly, Zara was dealing with everyone and was so pleasant. Serving at the bar, taking and giving out drink and food orders, very attentive to everyone. The other staff members were great, pleasant and having a laugh with our group. We all had the best evening we've had in a long time. As for the food....... Absolutely mind blowing quality, perfect portions, and able to take away anything for later!. If I could write in the clouds how fantastic an experience we all had, I would. The owner should be very proud of the staff, especially Zara and the amazing Chef. Thank you so much again.

We are on holiday& found this little gem of a pub whilst looking for a dog friendly place to eat. All 8 of us had a delicious, reasonably priced meal, and they parcelled up pudding to take away!the staff are lovely, dogs welcome. Give them your custom, they deserve it.

We had a great experience yesterday with my two young kiddies. Lovely food and we were also really well looked after. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

Stopped here on a Sunday search for Sunday roast. Couldn't be more delighted with this pub. The Sunday roast was like home made (if you're a good cook like the chef here), plenty of fresh vegetables, roast beef and all the trimmings. Highly recommended. Lovely friendly staff. Picture is after I started to eat to make sure it was as good as it looked! Love this place, you won't be disappointed! *****

Excellent pint of Guinness. If I had any advice I would get some barriers at the front to separate the outdoor furniture from the busy road.

Very good service, friendly team but you can see the difference between reality and expectations in the ice cream I got. However, the burger and the haloumi fries were excellent, the Sunday roast mediocre (those broccoli were horrible) and not many gluten free options.

Just had lunch at The Four Chesnuts. Beautifully cooked Belly Pork, with Bubble + Squeak. Really yummy, highly recommend you go there

The Four Chesnuts has had a difficult start, but the tide is turning, lovely staff, atmosphere, warm, lovely kitchen, now!!! Can't wait to have a Sunday Roast lunch.

Realy nice little new landlord spot on

Initially I was sceptical as I'm pretty sure they might be changing owners or something. We were being visited by family and decided we wanted a Sunday lunch. Luckily they weren't booked up when I called ahead but we were warned of a temporarily restricted menu. Upon arrival I was pleased to see full Sunday roasts were still on the cards but my pregnant body had been craving the Eton Mess I had seen on the menu online that had unfortunately not made the cut for the temporary menu. We were greeted warmly by a very busy barman and service was fairly prompt despite his being alone. I opted for a beef roast and the Chef seemed to be having to wait tables as well as cook and clear. Despite his overwhelming workload and being quite clearly a little stressed and tired he was delightful to us, made sure we had everything we could want and was even a little embarrassed that he couldn't take our plates away immediately which of course we didn't mind. The food was very tasty and piping hot, all of us cleared our plates and decided to have puddings which even though I was irrationally grumpy about not having an Eton mess, turned me around because the chocolate sponge I had instead was moist, hot and delicious with a generous helping of ice cream. The staff continued to be delightful the entire evening and we will definitely be going back.

Don't order food here! Ordered a 1/4 pounder burger tonight and it tastes like it was out of a freezer! I could make better burgers like that with Aldi ingredients. The bun tasted like a pitta bread, the chips were soggy, and the burger looked like it had come out a soggy cardboard box from Iceland. And God forbid you want a decent red wine by the glass. Don't bother if you want to be ripped off.oh, and the quiz master gets all his answers off edited Wikipedia pages, so there's no guarantee you can get a question right.

Sunday afternoon visit. Only us 2 in for most of our time there. But beer good and staff friendly.

Friendly staff who clock your round after the first one and much better laid out since the refurbishment a year or so back. A great squeaky floorboard next to the bar keeps you amused whilst waiting to be served - which to be honest isn't a long wait, regardless of how many are in the pub. Having said that the layout is improved, it is still a little "limited" when they have a live act playing as they take up one of the few areas that can be used by punters. All in all, a tiny bit more expensive for a beer than some other places, but not so much you'd really notice - not a bad place to stop for a few beers if you're walking past.

The pub is a proper pub serving pub food at really good price a great choice of drinks and a great atmosphere highly recommended for lunch or dinner it also shows bt sport

We ordered a meat pie and mashed. It came out hot and tasty. The waitress was friendly and concerned that everything was o.k.
