Fountain House in Stafford

We ordered takeaway. It arrived when expected and the food was nice. Unfortunately all the food came in polystyrene type containers with no indication that they could be recycled. Because of this we won't be ordering from Fountain House again.

Really Awful - don’t eat here! Not ordered from here for a while. Very disappointed in how bad the food has gotten. Prawn crackers tasted swampy to the point of we wouldn’t feed them to our dogs - who love a prawn cracker. Spare ribs in bbq sauce didn’t have a bbq sauce just an insipid tasteless liquid. Triple crown in oyster sauce inedible despite it being a signature dish. The remainder of the mains were edible. The meal was accompanied by a free dish which was so bad they would be better off not sending it. Cancelled my account and will go elsewhere in future. Don’t Eat From Here

This was our first takeaway in months ... and our first time buying a takeaway from Fountain House. The whole meal was delicious. We were so pleased. And it was even delivered slightly earlier than the estimated 60 minutes from the time of ordering. Thank you! We’ll be back!

I had a problem with part of my order, my side, I rang the shop and it was sorted there and then. The staff are amazing and the food is the best in Stafford, especially the salt n chilli box. HIGHLY RECOMMEND The only chinese I use 5stars

Ordered from here this evening. Food was amazing! Had A1 set menu, way too much food for 1 person. Could easily feed 2. Order was delivered very quickly! Food was very hot and tasted fresh. Prawn crackers not as good but you can't have everything. Great price for the amount of food and was also able to change 1 of the mains with no hassle at all. Will definitely be ordering from here again :)

Excellent Chinese takeaway! Best we have had in Stafford and we've tried almost all of them. The food tastes great and isn't overly greasy. The chap on the phone is incredibly polite and helpful. There was a mistake on our last order and he replaced it immediately without question. We will be going here and only here from now on.

Good value for money! We’ve never ordered from here and it was pretty good, everything was piping hot on delivery and tasted good. I would definitely order from here again as our local one is currently closed. The only negative for me was I like plenty of bamboo shoots in my my chow mien and was a little dry.

Ordered from here twice during lockdown and both times we didn’t get an item we ordered. Second time couldn’t even get a hold of them to order it again. Shocking

Ordered what we normally order from Chinese , thought we’d try a new one after reviewing the menu, but never again! delivery was told 30-45 minutes but it came in 15 minutes. It was dry and definitelythe worst we’ve had! Tasted old as though it was heated up rather than freshly cooked! Won’t be ordering from there again! Left it on the plates! Never again!!

Probably the worst Chinese takeaway I've tasted. Poor quality. A shame as we used to buy from here a few years ago.

Had a family meal for four ordered by phone no problems ,delivery excellent ,driver very professional. Food arrived in plastic containers which are recyclable . We had prawn and chicken curry with boiled rice which was lovely ,and a special curry the sauce was tops ,and then we had a chicken rice with curry sauce so good ,will use again thank you all !!!!

Wanted a meal4three...price had gone up 10% since last menu we had...OK..so it happens...but all we asked was to swap one element for another (individual price was identical)...but they weren't having it. Odd thing is...we've asked similar request before, there have been no problems. So they clearly have too much business to be able to afford to turn away a telephone order worth £30. Very unhelpful. Won't be using them again.

We have been having takeaways from here for about the last 5/6 years now. We have always had excellent food and service. We used to very close by then moved opposite end of Stafford July 2017 luckily they deliver up here so we have kept our favourite Chinese.

Ordered food online this evening, as we often do. When I went to collect, they had missed something from the order. We had already paid online and I had walked to collect. They showed me their copy of order / receipt which had a comment on the bottom re the missed extra, they said they hadn't charged for it. I said that clearly we had ordered it as it was on their copy of order so why didn't they charge for and why didn't they include? I said it was their mistake and even if I now wanted to pay more money I didn't have my purse on me. He kept saying I had to pay if I wanted the extra, I said I couldn't and wouldn't walk 10 minutes home again to get money, walk 10 minutes back again? When the mistake was theirs..I asked again for the missed item..he said no they won't allow it. I said there were at least 5 other Chinese restaurants nearby we could use, he wasn't fussed. Absolutely baffled by total lack of customer services or care, their mistake could have been overlooked and not a problem if they had rectified or been nice but this one man was just wanting a couple of extra quid off me and was not concerned at all about the fact that we wouldn't take our business there again due to one unpleasant and absurdly unnecessary bad experience.. Generally had consistently good food there, but I won't take my custom somewhere where I'm badly treated and not a valued customer.

Had a few meals from here but today was awful. Only decent thing were spring rolls. Ribs were dry and chewy as were the chicken wings. The chow mien was just a pile of salty, dry noodles with a few scraps of dry meat Much better available

Online order. Never again. Food not the best. Not cheap either sorry. Trying another takeaway. No taste.

The food and service is always good, however I checked the menu online prior to ordering and the price online was £1.70 more than I payed by ordering over the phone!

Cold curry and soggy prawn crackers, but never mind they sent free prawn toast...... Also cold! Yuk.

Ordered on line the delivery was late food warm not hot ordered duck in barbeque sauce it was just like coloured water no taste of barbeque at all very disappointed

Never had a bad meal here. The food is always quick and a good price. The staff are lovely. My only criticism of the takeaway is the website states it opens until midnight which it does not

Our Chinese crispy duck was really not good as I had to pick out all of the fatty bits that hadn't been crisped up. Very disappointing

Después de pedir comida para llevar última noche creo que pasará mucho tiempo antes de comer comida china para llevar!! Pedimos pollo chow pelotas de pollo y principal. Muy pequeñas piezas de pollo en masa sin cocer ligeramente amarillo en el exterior... Chow principal fue el peor que he probado. No hay soja y muy sosa no verduras... Todo iba en la papelera!! Casa de la fuente con que messaged sin respuesta!! Completamente la comida es terrible!!!

Yo siempre uso casa fuente y han hecho por últimos 6 años pidiendo al menos una vez al mes. Siempre he encontrado responsable en términos de calidad y de pedidos en línea tienen algunas buenas ofertas. Nunca tuvimos una mala comida de allí. He probado otros para llevar chino en Stafford pero son inconsistentes en términos de calidad - a veces mejor que la casa de la fuente y a veces horrible. Me hubiera gustado que tuvieran una mejor distribución de comida aunque elección

Ordered food which was half an hour late and was cold. Food standard was horrendous. The whole meal was enedible, asked for a refund . Do not use , substandard

Este es el único que uso para llevar chino en Stafford, la comida siempre es excelente y la entrega es a tiempo si no más temprano de lo dicho. Yo uso la herramienta nadaban en línea ya que tienes tostadas gratis de pollo que es un lujo.

i had chicken chop suey, greasy revolting rubbish salty mess, can not say anything good really. stay away unless you like feeling quite queasy after your meal, i did complain but was told over the phone i was wrong and then had the phone put down on me... charming!!

Found two steel washers in my food. I was horrified. When I went back to show them they were very unhelpful and seemed not to care. I will never go back there.

Take away from hell , tasteless & diabolical . Even the dog turned his nose up . We ate the prawn crackers . Never ever order from this take away again . Gutted I had to give one star . I feel sick .

Top value, lovely food and quick delivery definetly the best Chinese in stafford. Food always tastes fresh and is very tasty.
