Great food, brilliant staff, loads of fun for our staff night out. We was well looked after and I will return with my family soon as I really enjoyed the time we spent here

Lovely looking place inside and out but the food we had was bland and tasteless. We had tofu curry, King prawn curry, vegetable fried rice and vegetable noodles. I do not know what the chef had done with those prawns but they were not like any other I've ever had. They were mushy . You could say that there was a good portion of them but that did not make up for the tasteless mush. The prawn curry was literally just made up of the prawns curry sauce and onion. All of the dishes were plain and bland with hardly any taste or spice and a paltry amount of vegetables. How difficult is it to just put a few dessert spoons worth of vegetables within each portion. I know we are in hard times but pack up if you're going to be that tight. Maybe if you dine in unlike us with our takeaway you could be in for a better experience. You do get free prawn crackers but this sweetener would never make it good for us. The service was quick for takeaway. We do not know about the atmosphere within the restaurant but because of the lack of enjoyment even eaten in my own house I give one star. I do not recommend any dishes as we will not be going back. I would only normally give a review if I have a good review to give but this was worth doing for the bad review considering there is so many other good oriental takeaways. I know I should have taken photos to back this up but I can assure you they would be nothing like the owners.

Was not impressed it was cold and uninviting. The starters were ok but every main course was Luke warm and tasteless. No food warmers on the table and everything brought out separately for 8 of us. The table cloth wasn’t changed for coffee which was also terrible.

Probably the best asian restaurant around and their customer service has always been great for me. It's got a family feel to it which I like also.

Brilliant place to eat, eating in or out the food is so nice....would recommend you try....

Had takeaway meal from Fortune Garden this week. Quality of the food was very good and it was delivered very quickly, ordered via JustEat. Singapore noodles and Kung Po Chicken particularly good.

My family and I came here last Saturday for a birthday meal. The young waitresses were very polite and altogether amazing, but the manager staff in the restaurant were quite rude and bossy.. almost like they just want your money. There was children running around the bar area which I found unprofessional for a restaurant. The food was ok… prices were a bit high and toward the end I had noticed a very small “sercharge” which I had gathered was service charge on the bill.. I was quite disappointed since this is illegal. I’m quite certain that the waitresses don’t even get the service charge neither. Besides that, my family and I had a nice evening but I will not be returning.

Had a takeaway nice food, quick service

The best takeaway around. Now our new favourite. Every dish was tasty. The crispy duck was perfectly crispy and was a decent amount of meat for a quarter. Quick delivery and a friendly service.

Came here this evening for the ‘all you can eat’ buffet with my partner. The food was good, however every time we ordered more from the menu we felt very uncomfortable and judged. Members of the kitchen and waiting staff would pop their heads round the corner and stare at us giggling. Considering it’s meant to be ‘all you can eat’, we couldn’t understand the hostility. Will not be returning. Avoid if you want to fell good about yourself because I left upset.

We arrived and asked for a birthday cake to be brought out at the end of the meal. We had it brought out between starters and main - given to 3 other tables before I said it was ours! Then we were brought out plates for cake before we had our mains. My main was very salty and horrible bits of chicken- the menu has reduced half the stuff our family like weren't on there. Won't be going back again. Awful just awful

It was a disappointing night out. The service was friendly but slow, which was surprising as it was not very busy. The food was mixed quality, the duck was over cooked and the cucumber etc was rationed. Whilst other dishes lacked seasoning. The placed was filled with loud young essex boys, who felt it was ok to loudly share intimate stories about partners and friends. The additional service charge was a last straw, we paid to be served that slowly! We wondered why the restaurant hadn't been busy, now we know. Not going back.

the best vegan chinese food around!

Good all inclusive menu for all diet requirement inc vegan menu, Service a little slow but very friendly. Only problem we had with atmosphere was the noise from other diners, don't know why they have to shout at someone sitting next to them but we could not hear each other. Good food all served hot and good size portion.

Having eaten in here a number of times and also ordered out from here, I can safely say it is two very different experiences, and I have no idea why. The food seems to arrive almost 45 minutes later than expected every time and is warm if we are lucky. It still tastes good, but that is besides the point. Ordering in is the complete opposite experience. Food is nice and hot, with incredibly quick service.

Ordered 4 dishes, and sadly all were not to the usual standard - the ribs were more fat than meat. The seaweed was covered in sugar and was inedible,. The chow mein had a burnt taste to it. The salt & pepper chicken wings were cold and over cooked. We'd previously ordered 3-4 times and there was never a problem, however when I called to complain about the order, I was only offered a 20% refund.. this didn't even cover the price of 1 of the dishes that had to be discarded. I explained this, but was told because we had received £5 discount (loyalty for accruing 100 points, 1 point for every £1 spent) they wouldn't offer anymore than 20%. Very poor customer service and a complete waste of £30 yesterday.

We ordered from the buffet menu, which was great value. Really enjoyed all the food we tried, and service was excellent.

I live miles away from Leigh now, but won't eat from any other Chinese restaurant. There are no words ro describe how wonderful the staff, food and atmosphere is. They even have a whole vegan menu for us. We love you Fortune Garden ❤️

We did order regularly, however last order; was very cold! Main dish/ my dish had no sauce and cold/old - 30 mins late and terrible terrible customer service. don’t worry next meal they will give a discount…. old reheated then cold again food. (The duck tastes of cleaning fluid- luck sauce was missing or tomorrow would be a bad day) Terrible 😞

So disappointed regular customers of dine in and take away delivery been using for years ….Saturday night ordered food at 7.15pm still not arrived by 9.10pm , I only live 5 minutes away , awful service, awful response from manager , had to go out and get a refund as couldn’t do it over the phone …got home at 9.40 with no dinner

The order was perfect! I’ve had covid over the past few days and hadn’t been able to taste much but the flavours in the dishes I ordered were superb and really cheered me up :) They also have such a great vegan and vegetarian selection!!

Best Chinese restaurant in the area.

Absolutely lovely, we were on a round table with a lazy Susan, so the 11 of use could share the 'all you can eat' with ease . The food was excellent and plentiful. Staff were very attentive and lovely. Highly recommend

I can't tell much about the atmosphere as we were first in for evening service but the staff were lovely and food was great.

I have been coming to this restaurant with my family for about 15 years. Through the pandemic I think it Has hit them hard like most businesses. We visited to celebrate a new job and had not been in awhile they have put there prices up which becomes very expensive. Sadly they are not busy during the week and the food had gone down hill. Seems like dishes are being watered down. And not as tasty.

Have ordered from here a few times now. Always very fast service and food is hot and tasty. My partner seems to like the vegan selection.

Absolutely gorgeous food and lovely service

Once regulars (once a month) we stopped going so often due to changes in financial circumstances. We miss it very much, therefore going on a spur decision after A level results was a real treat. The buffet menu is excellent and the lovely staff are happy for you to reorder what you like. The courses are cooked fresh it’s wonderful. We particularly love the shredded chicken snd satay skewers. We think it’s value for money and can’t wait to come back soon. Best wishes to Amy and the great team!

Great food, good attentive friendly staff, now they are well established, I would suggest they add to their menu, and reintroduce the toffee apple/banana deserts. Was a bit pricey due to beer and champagne on the bill, otherwise price was ok

This was our first time here and we enjoyed it very much. You can eat from a good choice at one price. we were not hurried and the restaurant had a nice buzzy feel. We were a couple but there were families and celebrations.

prices have gone up £8 for noodles with no flavour. My beef was under cooked, and was soggy. Crispy chilli beef - not crispy at all instead soggy and full up with oil, again no flavour. Will not be returning ever again last time I’ll order from here again.

Not eaten in for a long time due to covid closures, so Easter Sunday we popped in, £22.50 plus 10% service, still excellent value, food is as good as ever, not sure why its had some negatives we never had any bad meals here, service as always good (wasn't busy) all was fresh cooked, smaller sized portions, but that's ok as you can order again. Crispy duck, ribs and Mussels, Squid, Prawns,Chicken, Beef and Pork, plenty of choice inc Sizzling Dishes and Veg, rice and noodles, all cooked to order, £22.50 and it still represents fantastic value as you order what you want, if you think its too expensive then I can recommend the Waitrose Microwave Chinese selections for a few pound less.

We have eaten in but usually takeaway. We love it. They are willing to cook it with special requests eg leaving things out or in.

Wonderfully warm welcome back for us both and brought my 2 sisters from Hampshire with us too. The various courses were served promptly despite being busy and as always the high quality and immense variety remains top notch. My sisters loved it and one had requested we come here as had loved it on a previous visit. This is a fabulous restaurant and offers excellent value for money. Highly recommend.

Took my daughter here for her birthday with 6 family members as it was great last year. But it's changed. The price has gone up but the portions are smaller. Then we were made to feel guilty ordering more by one rude staff member. Really not a pleasant atmosphere. We kept getting interrupted because they wanted to sell more overpriced drinks. It's a shame their greed has ruined this place. There's too much competition to behave this way. They'll learn the hard way. Very disappointed it ruined my daughter's birthday.

We regularly come here and food is always good and reasonably priced which enables monthly visits however the prices have gone up which will make it more of a treat for special occasions now

I’m soo disappointed. We decided to order our Christmas Eve meal from this restaurant . Knowing they will be busy on ordered our food at 6pm for 730pm and website said 60 minute wait. I called three times to be Todd the chef was cooking our meal and it would be 20 mins. Our meal came eventually at 840pm. I am soo angry as my kids were crying with hunger and they offered no apology. I will never use this place again. Appalling service sorry

Thank you to this restaurant we went last night as we do every year for our Christmas celebration meal, the food was lovely plenty of it and very happy attentive staff. We ate from the all you can eat menu, so much choice we always get a great selection. Thank you for such a good evening meal. They are doing a great job after such a difficult couple of years.

Not been for a while delivered in half an hour cold raw chips chicken balls hard forgot to give me rice had to phone up. Did delivery rice again cold. Thrown in the bin as my daughter couldn't eat it had to cook a meal. Not happy!

V isited on 27-11-21 with 2 of our grand children for a special evening. It took nearly an hour after taking our order to receive our starters. The main course took even longer, nearly 2 hours. After this length of time I was presented with a dish by the waitress who indicated that was my main course. (sweet & sour prawns). When I started to eat it I commented to my wife that it wasn't a prawn dish. It turned out to be sweet & sour chicken which none of us had ordered. My wife ordered chicken with black bean and cashew nuts. This never arrived so my wife ate the sweet and sour chicken fearing another 2 hour wait. The portions were a lot smaller than when we last went to this place and there was a £9-00 service charge which I refused to pay. The staff all looked so miserable and we actually felt as though we weren't wanted there. Hence we WILL NOT be going there again.

We visited here tonight after not having been since the middle of lock down last year when things relaxed slightly. We were really looking forward to going as it used to be a favourite of ours but we were pretty disappointed! I get since covid places have had to put up prices to rake back some takings but prior to covid the all you can eat was 16/17 quid, now it is 22.50. Not a major biggy as we always like the food however, they portions are a lot smaller (a portion of duck for 5 of us did one wrap each and the spring onion was so miniscule only did 2 wraps!) The service is now terrible and within the first hour of being there we had only had a mixed starter and some salt and pepper prawns. The capital ribs we asked for were forgotten and we had to ask for them a second time. Considering the restaurant only have 6 tables in it seems like 2 to 3 hours for what isn't really alot of food, seems a bit of a joke. Also the first glass of coke I ordered (designated driver) was flat and I had to ask for another from a fresh bottle as they dispense the coke from a large 2 litre bottle and clearly it had been open for a while! I always like the hot and sour soup and this has now been removed from the buffet menu along with a load of other dishes like the lamb in lettuce that used to be on there. It's such a shame as this place used to be incredible but I don't think we will be rushing back any time soon! They need to up the level of service (it doesn't hurt to smile and give good service) and go back to what they were before. I get that there is food waste in that type of restaurant but to be sitting there for long gaps between finishing and them even coming over to see if we want more food, is unacceptable! Personally my advice would be to give it a miss and just order a delivery from a different Chinese as the food was lack luster compared to what it used to be and there are certainly better ones out there these days (and also cheaper ad ever take out from here is not cheap!)

Order from here alot but my god they must be hard up... just had the curry and it's 80% raw onion... WILL NOT be ordering again.... bitterly disappointed

We ordered a takeaway on Saturday evening for 7:30. It arrived just before 7pm cold and it looked unappetising. When we opened the spring roll bag we were missing two as there were six instead of eight. The spring rolls were luke warm and soggy....

Not as good as it used to be. 1 the buffet has gone up and they have taken out the deserts and coffee/tea option that used to be included in the buffet price. But still nice food and staff.

I have been veggie for around 10 years and this is hands down the best chinese takeaway I've ever had! Their vegan menu is huge and has just about everything you could want. Will definitely be ordering again.

Great vegan options and would have been really enjoyable if Salt Bae wasn't the chef in the tonight.

Ordered Valentine’s evening tonight and we waited 2 and a half hours for the food!! When it turned up it was DISGUSTING!! The meat was extremely under cooked and still pink in places and the seaweed and crispy beef was not crispy and the crispy...

Phoned for delivery they said 1hr/15min 2hrs later nothing after calling they lied said it was on its way. It arrived 2hrs 30mins later cold and tasted awfull. Asked for some form of refund they denied us anything. Do not waste ur time with them!

Ordered a takeaway after hearing good things about the restaurant. Unfortunatley the food which came was awful. Most of the dishes were bland and the meat was chewy and had a weird, off flavour. Considering the price, which was more than we usually pay for...

Had to wait 4 hours for food which was cold and there was missing items which I then had to personally go to the restaurant to rectify. Management was rude and didn't offer any sort of compensation or apology and some of the staff weren't wearing face masks correctly and only covering their mouths. The food was actually delicious but the staff have let them down. When I asked for some form of compensation they simply refused and said "well you got your food in the end didn't you?" Unacceptable behaviour!

DON'T ORDER FROM HERE!!!! We had our order delayed and even phoned up asking and got told to wait another half hour and was promised free beers. When the delivery arrived after waiting another 40 mins, there was no free beers as promised and they got our order wrong as they gave us chicken balls instead of prawn balls and only 1 sauce when there was meant to be 2. Please order from Bin Wah or Chinese chippy instead as they're both much better than this place

We ordered at 6:58pm tonight and it didn’t arrive until 21:10pm, we called the restaurant about four times! We asked for some money off but the owner only gave us a 10% discount on our next order! 🙄 I ordered a sweet and sour mock...

Made to wait outside in the rain for a take out. I went back in a few times to see if it was ready but it wasn't. I asked if they could come out with it when it was done, they said yes. However, they didn't come out, so I had to go back inside after waiting 30 mins in the rain. Chicken curry was a rubbery gloop of gell. I paid extra for it to be spicy, it wasn't spicy at all. It was basically a cold mess of disgusting leftover bits of chicken carcass. Not cheap either. Avoid.

Have been here in the past and food was always good, but this time was a complete farce. Ordered food at 6:30 and by 8:00 still had not received part of the order. As in other reviews they seem to be prioritising take away orders,...

Waited over 3 hours for food, called chasing it several times to be told the driver is on the way...(for an hour and 15 minutes) then get told the driver "broke down" and they'd cook it again. Not waiting another 3 hours...! Shocking. Wont be attempting to use again

Very well set out for social distancing. All the staff wore masks and gloves. The menu was slightly reduced from before but still offered plenty of choice. The quality of the food and the standard of the service are just as good as ever.

Food was freshly cooked, no problems what so ever, quick order so not much waiting time, takeaway itself, clean and presentable. Cheapest Chinese takeaway I know

Ordered from the relatively new vegan menu, all very delicious! And a lot of choice on offer. We got vegan spring rolls, curry sauce, plain chow mein (lovely thin noodles) and sweet and sour mock chicken Hong Kong Style. It's the most extensive menu I've seen in the area from a non vegan restaurant. I'm very impressed and will spread the word ! Also, my brother got a (non vegan!) munchie box which was massive and he really enjoyed it. Not seen anywhere else doing those, but then again we won't be going anywhere else any time soon 👍

Not a good experience at all. the quality continues to fall. The price has gone up yet again. This restaurant puts it's prices up twice a year. The staff have become less friendly and the portions have diminished. They have also taken the desserts off the menu. You can still have ice cream but it is absolutely tasteless. It is only half of the restaurant it was. A big Shame.
