Closed down ages ago. Shutters still open but never anyone there. Nobody answers the phone. Shut!!!

Good food and delicious, fast delivery

I placed a order Saturday just before 5pm ( states on website delivery after 5pm) the food arrived at 6:30pm cold & soggy was awful , used to order often from here and the food was always hot and arrived quickly. Shame it has changed

It's an absolutely amazing plate... I really recommend that, the place is comfy, clean and tidy... The attendance was really nice... Thanks for making my dinner the best ever...

Food took 1.5 hours to arrive. When it did all the food was barely warm. I called the “restaurant” to let them know that the food was cold and some of it was soggy as well. No apology or attempt to appease an annoyed customer. I said we had paid over £30 for poor quality food and requested a refund. I was told the delivery driver was the owner who would call to discuss the issue and refund. As it had already gone 9.30pm I said he can call before 10pm or on Tuesday when they are next open. Next thing I know we get a knock on our door at 10.30pm from the delivery driver and supposed owner! He argued with my husband on our doorstep that the food wasn’t cold and demanded that we gave it back! My husband explained that we reheated it in our oven as otherwise we wouldn’t have had anything to eat. The driver said that the food was definitely hot and if we had eaten it why were we asking for the refund. My husband explained we reheated it and we wouldn’t have had anything else otherwise, and that we were asking for a refund because of the poor quality of the food, late delivery and now the shocking behaviour of their treatment and approach to customers! It is very clear the type of establishment they are and we will most definitely not be returning and I urge anyone else considering using their service not to!

Nice, quick and easy meal whilst working. Nice staff and good quality good. Definitely something I will choose to eat again rather than your typical fast food restaurant.

This is not a place I would recommend to anyone. The table laid out was dirty, crumbs all over it, sauce smeared on it and food all over the floor. The lasagne was something words can’t describe and the Alfredo should have been vegetarian as the lack of protein was unreal. We downed the overpriced wine, had to correct the bill and then exited left. Never again

This place is getting worse. Last time we ordered they sent wrong dish. Today we waited two hours for delivery to be told when I called that it was on way. Clearly they forgot our order as it’s now been another half hour. When the food did arrive it was stone cold, chicken and mozzarella sticks were so dry and pizza was just not the same as it used to be. Will not be ordering again.

Slow delivery and very burnt pizza. Its been a while since I last ordered but I like to buy from local restaurants whenever possible instead of bigger chains. The delivery was quite slow about an hour and 25 minutes after ordering. One pizza was so burnt on the bottom even I couldn't eat it and I like crispy pizza! The Carbonara was split and sitting in oily butter with almost no seasoning. Not the best meal so I won't be ordering again . Shame :)

We have tried Forno many times and never had a bad meal! The pizza’s are great value and the desserts are great too! Can’t fault them.

Yesterday we ordered a pizza with hair in it, today we order a Shawarma sandwich and they give us a Rap in which we found a bone,The food is cheap but not worth it

Ordered for the first time this evening and SO glad I found Forno. Can’t believe I’ve been sleeping on it all this time! I spoke to Nico who recommended the Napoli pizza and Puttanesca pasta. Both were made perfectly; well balanced, authentic Italian dishes and arrived suitably hot. The online ordering system was also great, allows for Apple Pay, and scored a 5* food hygiene rating in a recent inspection (June 21). A faultless experience and will be back again next week. Fingers crossed the next time lives up to Nico’s service today.

Food cold on colection and when re-ordered and went to collect they said they didn't believe me saying it was cold. My beef had obviously been heated up by microwave as it was same piece and chips tasted like they had been reheated. Steak did NOT look like ribeye. Needless to say. Will NOT be going back !!! g back !@@

Delicious Pizza - so nice to know about this little gem in Abingdon-definitely best pizza I’ve had here! I had a vegan pineapple pizza with fresh basil. Usually I only eat half but I ate whole thing-couldn’t resist! Would highly recommend.

The best fiorentina pizza I've ever had.

Whilst the food from Fornos is always good, the delivery is consistently delayed due to it being ‘very busy’. Please don’t quote a time for delivery if you can’t commit to it. On occasion it has also been cold due to delays.

We placed our order online at 5.34pm & was told it would be with us in an hour. At 6.55 we phoned as our meal hadn't arrived. We were told it would be about 20 minutes as the driver had been delayed by heavy traffic. The meal finally arrived at 7.25pm but we weren't told that one of the deserts had been substituted for something different. Altogether very disappointing.

Two and a half hours after placing an order there is still no sign of our food. Phone not being answered conveniently. Never ever again

Came here for a birthday party yesterday. The owners are so nice and the food is incredible! By far the best Italian in Abingdon. Freshly made and loads of it! Will be returning for sure ❤️

Ordered a takeaway for my birthday today via deliveroo. Took 2 hours to arrive, forgot half the order and was cold! Would not recommend

Awful delivery experience. Over 2 hours after arrival time and 3 hours after ordering time the food still has not arrived. Phoned to chase 30 mins after arrival time and was told they were very busy and that the food would be here in 20-25 mins but it still did not arrive. Shortly after that, the deliveroo app said the food had been delivered but it definitely hadn't been. I contacted the deliveroo team who apparently phoned the restaurant and they said it would be here in 10 mins and offered a little compensation. The restaurant is now apparently closed and I have not received the food. Will try to get a refund tomorrow. Incredibly disappointed and will never order from them again.

Absolutely gorgeous food. We always get takeaway from here and the amount you get AND the quality is just great. We went and sat at the restaurant outside at the weekend which was really nicely done out and the service was top quality. Thank you! 👏

A warm welcome from the very friendly staff. Pizzas were amazing!!! We ate in and the restaurant was beautifully decorated throughout. Will absolutely be visiting again soon!

Have used Forno’s many times! Their pizza is cheaper, tastier and better quality than that from any of the large pizza chains. Their pasta is gorgeous too! Delivery is always quick.

Great vets. Never had a problem with them with all the dogs or pups.

Ordered here off just eat, one meal was tiny in portion size and was just a frozen meal heated up in the microwave was crusty round the edges and had no taste, the chicken bites were extremely dry, and the calzone was stone cold. Paid £25 and will never eat from here again total waste of money

I have ordered takeaway from Forno twice thus far. The first time was exceptionally good; the food was delicious, arrived on time and piping hot. The second time the food arrived 20 minutes late and lukewarm. Would order again but would be weary of estimated delivery times.

OMG, what an amazing meal, I have spent a lot of time in Italy and have finally found somewhere that can make a calzone that reminds me of late nights and feasting. Thank you!!!

We ordered three 12 inch pizzas with extras and they were all delivered within just over 30 minutes. Piping hot and totally delicious. Extremely good value.

Food arrived cold and subsequently very chewy, tried warming it in our oven but the overall taste and texture was unpalatable. Won’t be ordering here again.

I give a lot of good reviews for good places. I don’t like chain pizza it’s not cooked right and is not right. I gave these guys a go as they are independent. It turned up cold, what is that all about cmon. Dreadful

This place is an absolute gem. The food is amazing - Via various orders we’ve sampled the pizzas, pastas, gnocchi, calamari and wedges - All very tasty and delicious! Takeaway is swift and the person delivering is also so friendly. I would 100% recommend Forno.

I have had the best takeaway Italian meal delivered to my hotel - it was delicious - the Gorgonzola and Walnut Gnocchi was amazing! The starter was a meal in itself and was fresh and tasty. My only criticism was the Tiramisu which was a let down - very synthetic and quite tasteless. Homemade Italian Tiramisu would have been wonderful and got you 5 stars! I will definitely order from here again as the service was great, the food was hot and delicious but I will give desert a miss

We ordered two pizzas and a side having initially been apprehensive about the delivery as we'd read from reviews. However despite this being a Friday night we received the pizzas 15mins before our time slot. The delivery guy was also friendly which is always a plus (was wearing a mask as well)! The pizzas were delicious. Probably closer to domino's than artisan, but with less cheese than domino's and an amazing crust! They were a decent size.On the whole really impressive and such good value as well. It's honestly a steal compared to the big chains, you're getting nicer pizza for literally half the price of a large at the major chains.

Absolutely love Forno. The food is high quality and fresh. I would always recommend here over Domino's etc you get much better value (both in quantity and quality). Always worth collecting too if you can lovely people to chat to 🙂

Ordered via Just Eat. Delivery was terribly slow. Pizza itself was better than Domino's but brushetta was disappointingly soggy-probably due to delay with delivery.

Tonights pizza was genuinely the tastiest pizza I have ever had, and I have eaten alot of pizza! Both me and my son couldn't believe our luck when we opened up our boxes, and then tasted them. Thank you Forno, beautiful pizza, super friendly service and prompt delivery. That was amazing!

My kids love the pizza from here had it a couple of times. They think it’s better than dominoes! Proper traditional handmade bases, really friendly local business, care about their business and their customers and great value. Great local recommendation.

Ordered take away on Sunday evening, for 4 hungry children (and 4 hungrier parents!) Ordered 6 pizza from Margheritas for the kids and various meat and veggie ones for the adults. Bigger than we thought they would be for the price - felt like excellent value (£45 for the lot)And oh my.... they were so good we all shared so I got to try 5 pizzas and they were all brilliant, they were piping hot, and so delicious.... nicest pizza I have eaten outside of the med!?!Highly recommend this place

Not the greatest, if I had sent out some of the food from my kitchen like that I would expect bad reviews, chips were cold and hard probably the worst I've ever had and scampi had very little flavour at all,pizza was bland as well, only gave an extra star because calamari was good.

This is one of the best pizza places ever. The taste of the pizzas are incredible. Reminds me of a pizzeria in Lake Como Italy, authentic pizza taste.

Just tried delivery from here and really impressed; starters were tasty and fresh, although we were both defeated by the portion size of the seafood spaghetti and the carbonara portions... Delicious! Looking forward to visiting in person once the lockdown is over

Just a brief review to thank the lovely folks at Forno: a cold, windy Sunday evening and we decided to treat ourselves to a bottle of red and garlic pizza bread. This arrived promptly with a smile and they spoilt us with one of the best wines they had on hand. This was accompanied by a delicious, freshly baked cheesy pizza, with slices of fresh garlic. Thanks so much!

We ordered a four cheese pizza tonight and spaghetti polpette. They delivered 20 minutes earlier than scheduled! Both meals were perfect, such good value and tasty! For dessert we ordered a carrot cake and cannoli sicillian, these were perfect too!

Extremely tasty Italian pizzas with authentic traditional toppings, such as the Napoli - with anchovies, olives and capers - as well as some less authentic options like my kids’ favourite - the Hawaiian! We did delivery and found the online ordering was easy and delivery very prompt, with pizzas arriving hot and crispy. We also tried the cannoli. The shells were not super crisp but the filling was delicious with a lovely orange flavour. What a treat to have this on our doorstep!

I have to edit this, they didn't ask me to, this second paragraph is the original review, but after accidental AWOL/mistake, they came with my almost double the amount I ordered to say sorry. So in fairness, someone there made a mistake (on lovely food as normal), but they really showed kindness to repay it, in fact above and beyond by giving me nearly twice the amount and a complimentary drink. The other time I've used them they've been on time perfectly. This was my scenario originally: 1 hour and 55 minutes onwards after original arrival time, 2 hours and 55 after I placed the order, and with one check after it's 35 mins late from the original estimated arrival time I was told it would arrive in five minutes. Now it's 1 hour and 55 since arrival estimate (2 hours 55 I've been sitting here) and they've decided to just take my money and pretend they've delivered. Profound. When the more senior staff were notified they came with a near double portion.

A long, long delay, with a happy ending. (a very happy ending!) I've ordered from them before, can vouch for the fantastic taste/food, and they were completely on time before. This time, it was a couple hours after estimated due to (apparently) complete miscommunication/mistake. Once the more senior people were fully aware they to me to deliver almost double the amount of food I had ordered. In fairness, their food (and pizza I have tried most) is fantastic. I would say proper Italian pizza with a twist. Imagine taking a proper Italian pizza and making it a bit more 'beefier' without the absurd huge bases and terrible doughs all dominos/Pizza Hut etc. use. Bit more tomato, bit more meat. I think it trades off a little with the 'purity' of the Italian style flavour (but I'm not an expert and they probably know far more than me) which is rich in flavour, thin in base. This is v similar, vv similar, but just a 'boost' of certain features which can be a tradeoff for some bonus for others. Either way, I doubt you'll be disappointed if you want proper Italian pizza. And definitely not a dominos nightmare. First time delivery perfect, this time their sincerity in apology and the way they really made up for it with care means I'll be delivering their lovely food again. Can assume it's a one in a million mishap.

We thoroughly enjoyed a relaxed evening in the restaurant eating delicious pasta and Italian desserts we could select for ourself from the fridge. It was perfectly unhurried, had a family/neighbourly feel and was reasonably priced. We will be coming back to try more from the wide ranging menu - the spaghetti and pizzas looked gorgeous. Loads of off street parking straight outside the restaurant, quiet Italian music playing, chef’s family came in to eat and they have some amazing plants creeping round the restaurant! Highly recommended if you don’t want anything too ‘fancy’.

We ordered a Forno on the 06/04 and was not disappointed. It was delivered within 45 minutes. We order scampi & chips, a spaghetti and meatballs, a stuziccini started and a cheesy garlic bread with caramelized onions. Everything was beautifully cooked.The only thing to improve is the stuziccini is advertised as coming with chilli oil but it never seems to arrive with it!

Proper pizza, far superior to Dominoes etc. Also had a very nice Greek salad. Abingdon desperately needed a place like this, perfect!!!

We will be back to also try their pasta dishes as they sounded delicious. And the desserts, oh my! You can taste they are home made by an expert hand. Pay them a visit, you won’t be disappointed! The food was more than disgusting, I ordered pizza which was uncooked, wet and completely cold. spaghetti bolognese which was stinky, oily and... OLD. Even toast with tomato was disgusting, tomato instead of red was nearly white and just cut in quarters. Never order again and not recommend if you dont want horible taste and food poisoning

Recently ordered from Al Forno on a Friday night. Food was of a good price, pizzas tasted lovely and delivered at the expected time. Vast variety of different pizzas to choose from, the thin crust and better quality toppings are good as the pizza did not sit on us unlike some of the more known pizza takeaways. Would definitely recommend and I’m sure we will be ordering again soon!

We ordered via Just Eat a USA pizza with extra Italian sausage and extra meatballs, a margarita with added extra onion, a chocolate cake and a chocolate gateau.

Do not eat here just had a pizza delivered it was an hour and a half wen arrived it was cold the toppings had completely fallen off

Had a 3 course takeaway which was Brilliant! So well priced. Such a lovely cafe style. shame about the location on an housing estate. Would not look out of place in the centre of Abingdon town.
