Fork & Field in West Lothian

Came here for a late lunch early dinner with my partner. We both shared the haggis spring rolls which were great. I had steak pie and my partner had fajitas. Both were fantastic! The steak pie was one of the best I've had and the fajitas were amazing! Service was great from the get go and the nothing was an issue at all! I'll definitely be returning for more steak pie!!

Food is awsome would recommend the steak pie best i have ever had cocktails were also very good all the staff are very nice i would recomment coming again

Terrible Visit and will not be back. Visited today with husband and some friends. We each for starters which were just ok. I got macaroni which was ok and a portion of chunky chips which were over cooked, my friend got steak pie chips and vegetables, she said the steak pie was bland, the chips were over cooked and the so were the vegetables. Her partner got fajitas which he said were bland too. One wrap and that was enough for him. Their service wasn’t great. Ages before they took out drinks order and same with the food order. I had to ask to order. I asked for a pint of orange and lemonade and twice i didn’t get a pint glass. Charged for it though. The staff were not friendly at all. There was a women with glasses and a blue top who i said about our bowl of chips being over cooked and my friend’s vegetables And she wasn’t bothered at all. No apology at all she couldn’t care less and it showed. I then went to the bar and asked for the manager and explained, he came to the table at my request but he wasn’t going too. Our plates sat there for a good while too, whilst the staff stood and chatted. It was just a disappointing visit, overall.

Food was delicious and very well presented. It was quiet when we visited but the atmosphere was comfortable. I initially thought I would be cold when entering but was a lovely ambient temp throughout the meal. Chris was our waiter and couldn’t have been more helpful. We were chatting about local neighbourhood and he gave some great advice with some good local recommendations. Will definitely be visiting again.

We had a family meal with 11 people this evening 20th April 2024. The food and the service was absolutely spot on. Extremely accommodating statt. Most definitely has become a firm favourite for the future, Like to thank all the staff for a great evening.

I had the steak pie, nice enough. We ordered cocktails and were slightly disappointed. I like my cocktails to have the foamy bit on top which it didn't have it also wasn't a full glass. For the £8 I'd expect it to be full, its not a big glass to start with. . My friend had one with processco but the bottle had obviously been sitting open cause it was flat...no fizz what so ever. It put us off having another. Not sure if I'd rush back 🤔

Booked a table on a Saturday afternoon for half 2. We turned up slightly earlier and they gave us the table early. It was quite busy and there was a table of 18 to the back of us and all table taken too. The waitress took our drinks order and we waited a fair wee while to order our food but it was really busy so was understandable and we didn’t mind. I had fish and chips, the fish was hugeeeeeee and so so so tasty 🤤 My friend had chicken fajita, we had a side of skinny fries and onion rings and all the food was so tasty and definitely worth the wait. Was honestly amazing 🤩 the staff were all lovely and friendly. Would definitely recommend but book a table especially at the weekend. We left stuffed so that’s always a good thing, didn’t cost that much either and huge portions too so win win. We will definitely be back ❤️

Myself & partner had dinner here on Saturday night. We were staying the weekend at the Dalmahoy and chose F&F to eat at as it was close by. We absolutely loved everything about F&F! The staff were accommodating, knowledge or their bar stock and we're super warm & friendly. The atmosphere was really inviting with a lovely ambience. The food was plentiful, full of flavour and gorgeous al dente vegetables. Each member of staff we encountered, from booking on the telephone to paying & leaving, was informative, kind, pleasant and made us feel valued customers. We absolutely loved our dining experience and would highly recommend F&F. Thank you to each and everyone of you that fed us so well and made us feel welcome.

Had lunch as a family, service friendly and welcoming. My daughter loved making her own pizza which was then cooked...great idea. Other dishes ordered were burger and fish and chips. Food came out in good time and was lovely. We will be back.

Found this on the internet by accident while staying at a local hotel. Give it a try and you certainly wont regret it. Casual relaxed dining with great service and lovely food.

Treated my mum with my husband to Sunday lunch at this restaurant for the first time. Unfortunately having read great reviews we feel really disappointed and robbed to be honest. Firstly the decor is fantastic and we had such high hopes but we we're freezing cold throughout our lunch which is just so uncomfortable. There was a small heater on the floor infront of our table which I asked if it was on at which point we were told they would put the heating on. It was to late! 1 starter, 3 mains, 1 pint, 2 soda and lime = £78 😱 Mum and I had the steak pies which were good but let down by the dry unappealing veg and my husbands Sunday roast was frankly really poor with one slice of roast beef and very little on his plate. The bread sharing board was the only real winner but not enough for us to go back which is such a shame as the waitress was really welcoming and friendly which is so refreshing. At no point did we see the price or told it for the roast which was almost £23 which was not worth it at all.

Dropped in on passing having remembered our enjoyable experience longer ago than we'd thought! (pre covid). Was greeted by the friendly owner Dougie and shown to our table. Starters of Haggis bon bons was a bit dry but saved by the accompanying sauce, lovely. Mains of blade of beef - delicious, nicely presented, scampi & chips - very generous portion. Desert of apple crumble with custard enjoyable too. What was also noted was we were asked each course if all was well - appreciated. All very good value at £15 for two courses. Nice local could benefit from being a little warmer.
