I have been a loyal customer here for years. I don't know what has happened to this place. tonight was probably the worst Indian food I have ever had. half an hour late. missing items under cooked chips and raw nan. everything in the bag was soaked with condensation. Full meal went in the bin. Will definitely not be ordering from here again. Disgusting and a waste of good money

I never leave bad reviews, but this food was poor. I ordered a chicken bhuna and mushroom pilau and the curry was mostly just diced onion, it wasn't strongly flavoured. The rice was quite tasteless as well. I'm only pointing this out to give them the chance to improve, although I won't be returning. Not terrible, but there are lots of better places out there

Lovely onion bhajis! I ordered a shahi masala which is meant to be mild and creamy like a normal masala but this was rather spicy for me and I had to leave half the sauce, which I was abit disappointed about.

ordered a munchy box but the chips were undercooked and hard in the middle therefore inedible. the curry sauce was also really watery and left a pool of water at the bottom of the pizza box. naan bread was also inedible as it was very soggy from the water

Food was early so that was good, curry was also good. Chips were like oven chips and the chutney was so watery and looked like fruit juice.

Had a couple of mediocre meals from here now. Tonights offering was a combination of missing chips, smashed poppadoms, a curry that was very sparce on meat and a delivery driver who rang my intercom incessantly before I could even stand up from my chair. Won't be ordering from here again 😕

Food was very tasty, just took to long to be delivered and was cold.

Food cold on arrival. Bought Munch Box and meat was very thick and chewy. Chips undercooked and Naan bread soggy. Everything had just a weird taste. Had food from here plenty of times before and it's always been nice and edible, not sure why tonight was different.

One of the nicest takeaways have had in a while. Very tasty curry and enjoyed the spicyness. Will use again.

My recent experience with the Indian takeaway from this restaurant left much to be desired. Having heard positive reviews, I was excited to try their offerings, particularly the Vegetable Passanda and Saag Paneer. However, my anticipation quickly turned into disappointment. The Vegetable Passanda lacked the vibrant flavors I associate with this dish. The curry seemed dull and lacked the depth of spices that make Indian cuisine so enticing. The vegetables, instead of being a medley of succulent delights, were rather bland and overcooked. Moving on to the Saag Paneer, I was equally let down. The spinach puree lacked the rich, creamy consistency I expect in this classic dish. The paneer cubes were disappointingly tough, devoid of the soft texture that usually complements the spinach blend. The overall quality of both dishes fell short of my expectations for authentic Indian cuisine. It felt like the kitchen had taken shortcuts in preparing the meals, sacrificing the essential flavors that make these dishes memorable. In addition to the taste, the portion sizes were underwhelming, leaving me unsatisfied despite the high prices. Sadly, I cannot recommend this restaurant for those seeking a true Indian culinary experience. There are plenty of other establishments that deliver far superior flavors and authenticity.

I nearly always use Forest Hall Tandoori for takeaway. Always lovely food, well presented & always on time. Would recommend

Mixed Grill Indian pizza had generous toppings, beautiful Chicken Dansak with excellent sauce and good serving of meat and great mixed kebab with large portions. Recommend highly

Absolutely fabulous, one of the best curry’s I’ve had in ages.

Thought I'd try somewhere different for a change...Wasn't great, wasn't terrible.... just felt like the whole thing lacked any effort. nan bread was like a dry pitta bread. You need to try harder guys. The market is way too competitive to be so forgettable 🤷‍♂️

Used to go here often but the last time I ordered I sent it back due to the chips being frozen chips you buy out of a super market and asked is they could send out usual chunky chips but they said they don't do them and have changed them worse than chips cooked in an oven at home.

Forest Hall never lets me down, great food, excellent service, and decent prices, my favourite local take away, second to none. The staff are so friendly and wecoming, others should take note.

Nice apart from chicken was very dry

Plain curry was an expensive bowl of oil. Got plain lamb curry with about five small pieces of lamb and a very very oily sauce which had no flavour at all. Rest of food was great but would have been better with a carton of curry sauce than this lamb curry. Probably try once more as normally quite good and don’t know if this was a different chef but if this happens again will have to try somewhere else.

After being delayed, delivery time was 15m late

food lovely as always but first time ordering Chips and for £3 it was less than a handful. Personally i would have expected atleast half a bag but this was probably quarter of a bag if you could say that. i love this place and have never had an issue but don't think i will order Chips again.

Quality of the food very poor, for the prices paid to add meat to the curries, there was next to none in them. Very disappointing

Late delivery, Didn’t get the mint sauce and chilli sauce that the website says is meant to be included in the “munchie box”. Not really a munchie box more of a naan bab. Chicken is dry. Meh, won’t be back.

Veg madras was superb . Starters were fine, rice, poppadoms, chips etc all pretty good. Unfortunately the desi naga was only slightly hot which was a disappointment but all I.n the food was good. Maybe next time I'll ask for the hot dishes to be really hot!

Prices up, nan bread down to size of tea plate. Order most weeks, food varies lately, looking for new take away, get it sorted.

Vindaloo was perfect. But onions salad was literally chopped white onions no tomatoes or cucumber. And the keema pilau had no keema bit of a joke considering it was £20+ meal

Jalfrezi was not remotely spicy. Previously it’s been delicious with a lovely kick and chillis throughout. No chilli but still very tasty.

The staff are fantastic, helpful friendly and always have a smile for the customer, my favorite take away in Newcastle, great food always.

I’ve had lamb patia vindaloo strength at, at least 50 times all over Britain and Southern Ireland and the gulshan and shakira locally and it’s without doubt as good as the best I’ve had at many places I’ve paid twice the price for ! The other meals my family had were just as impressive ! I’ve no connection with this place at all but will be using it regularly in future as I even got a %30 discount thru just eat !! Unbelievable!! Thank u !!
