Costa Coffee in North Tyneside

The good review is for the service at the till and the coffee they make. However I prefer to eat my cake in peace and not have the older lady who cleans to sweep over my feet to get the crumbs she said. Couldn't she wait until I had eaten it? .. better still wait until your customer leaves. Also she picked up the large brown puffy stool and dropped it very close to me as I presume it belongs to this table I'm still sitting at. But once again she dropped stool with a bang and not very pleasant experience. Can someone in management have a chat with her. I'm assuming it's the same older lady who doesn't like you to sit at a table unless it is cleared and wiped. Past experience from friends. Oh dear.

Staff exceptionally pleasant and accommodating. Young lad clearing tables on Sunday afternoon so pleasant it was very nice. In this day and age I appreciate good service.

Shocking to see Barista arranging muffins barehanded and when customers asks for it, used gloves & tong to get it! What’s the whole point then?

Served by a lad called Liam. Super friendly, talkative and funny bloke who makes a good coffee. Definitely deserves a raise from whatever he's getting paid right now Atmosphere itself is very nice most of the time. The cinema can get busy towards the evenings but during the day it's very quiet and a nice place to chat over a drink.

What's the point of having a Costa if you can't use a Costa gift card or a free coffee because it's in odeon joke.

Just as you would expect from an excellent Costa but this one has a bonus as being inside a cinema.

Waited 10mins in the extremely slow queue only to be told I can't use a Costa voucher in a Costa coffee shop because it's next to an odeon. What a joke

Staff are hard of hearing make sure you shout your order and get it confirmed before they make your coffee otherwise you will end up with the wrong drink.

Never open on time!! Why advertise to say you open at 9am but never do!? Very frustrating!! You can see customers waiting outside and you don’t even have the decency to explain to your customers why they’re having to wait and how much longer you will be!! Very unprofessional and bad service

I was here today and witnessed a particularly obnoxious female customer (about 50s) being nasty towards a female member of staff (long brown hair and tattoos). I wanted to write a review to say that this misunderstanding was on the customers behalf and that the staff member was in the right. I’ve had jobs such as these and dealt with some sh!tty people, I hope this doesn’t dim her sparkle. I’ve always had a good experience with costa and love it.

Dont serve big macs. But do serve cheese toastie.

Absolutely atrocious service. Kept waiting in queue. No acknowledgement that I was standing there then served people who just strolled in front of me.

Nicely presented Costa. Quite tidy, although it was busy. Staff efficient and polite.

Popped in with my sister in her wheelchair and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. Special shout out to Iain for recommending the new hot cross bun latte, my sister thought it was amazing!

Just been to Costa at silverlink and been overcharged for two baby chinos by 20p each. No flake and then said there is no difference in price for just the drink when I have only been charged 40p in every other Costa. Feeling cheated. My husband got to the bottom of his americana and it was full of coffee grains. Showed them but they did nothing. Worst coffee we have ever had.

On the first floor of Next shop with floor to ceiling windows giving good views of the area. Busy but not excessively so. Very friendly & efficient service.

Long Queues yesterday afternoon but the staff were coping extremely well. The lad was controlling the queue very well, informing diners their tables would be cleaned by the time they placed orders & directing you to fresh tables, girl making hot drinks was very fast & efficient. All together a very well run outfit & pleasurable experience, even when one customer kept getting up & changing table the floor staff re-sanitused the table she left.

Fairly quick service and helpful staff. Always a nice hot drink with plenty of flavour. (Caramel Latte) staff are willing to help when you ask for a slight change in the normal version of a drink. Can be a little cold in the winter as seating is next to doors opening and closing as it's in the odeon cinema. Other than that a decent Costa.

Clean and tidy with friendly staff

Visited today,12 Sept 2022. Waited ages to be served due to the three staff chatting to a friend being served? While sitting with coffee...one of the three proceeded to clean tables with dirty floor brush !!! Brilliant.will not be going here again.

Caramel frostino didn't even taste like a caramel frostino. Plus, the tea was just like WARM MILK; it was so weak. Disgusting

Coffee shops a complete ripoff can understand paying higher on drinks but trying to charge 4pound for a toasty is over the top 3pound would of been ok snacks shoudn't be over 1.50 to 2.00pound max wonder who was the brains behind that pricing that actually put people of spending more coming from someone who works in retail need to sort your prices out your not in london.

Today (Saturday 26th Sept) I took my elderly mum for coffee and breakfast to Costa, Silverlink. My mum suffers with meniers which means she has sudden episodes of vertigo. While waiting in the queue my mum had a very sudden very severe attack which saw her fall to the ground. All staff in Costa were amazing, they all tried their hardest to help and went way above and beyond to make my mum feel comfortable and support her until her vertigo passed. I cant thank them all enough, what an amazing team. Thank you so much. Also another customer helped us lots too, I didnt ask his name but if you read this thank you also, you're all very kind x

Very good at looking after you during this problematic time. We were shown to a seat and watched the young guy making a great job of clearing and cleaning tables as people left. Well done Costa.

Lovely clean and tidy coffee shop but the things that make it stand out from all the rest is the very welcoming friendly staff. Always have time to have a word with a smile on their face regardless of how VERY VERY busy they are

All I can say is. Try one and you've tried them all. Good and polite service

First visit to this branch, I asked for medium mocha/ caramel cortado. 1st l was charged for 2 coffees, I noticed 2 cups on tray so I asked only for 1. Apologies were given. 2nd I got given a very large bucket of caramel coffee, which I couldn't make out what it was. I had a taste then left it and left the Costa very unhappy customer. Only monday gone purchased the same mocha from different outlet and it was very nice.

Filter coffee lukewarm second time at next silverink. This is the only Costa that this happens. Not happy

Apart from the Costa in the RVI Newcastle upon Tyne (of which there are three blond women who's customer service is down right disgusting they seem to prefer talking amongst themselves then actually working). I give the rest 200 out of 200

Same great Costa experience. Popped in for some breakfast before a big business meeting and the two pieces of toast and cuppa were just what was needed. Decent prices, excellent service and overall consistent experience

Love Costa coffe, would have voted 5 but they have took away some of the comfy leather chairs so you have to be lucky to get one now

Nice flat white and good snack selection as usual.

Pleasant staff, no waiting, comfortable surroundings. However, toilet facilities in the toilets presumably owned by Next were abysmal. Male toilets out of use, female toilets had obviously not been cleaned for some time, and the disabled toilet had not been checked for an unknown period of time. The management of this Next store should be called to account for multiple failings in this respect.

Consistently amazing service from the staff at Costa’s. Great selection of food and drinks. The venue itself is also awesome - very light, especially when the sun is out and comfortable furniture. There’s also tons of parking outside.
