I've always enjoyed visiting Forage farm shop, and my recent interaction with them was no exception. I decided to give them a call to check if they had any lamb shoulder in stock. The friendly girl who answered the phone delivered an impressively direct response: "I don't know, sorry." It was refreshing to experience such unfiltered honesty in customer service! Of course, her enthusiasm to help ended there. She seemed perfectly content to leave me hanging, but I took the liberty of suggesting she might want to, you know, actually ask someone on the butcher's counter. Apparently, the idea of checking with a colleague hadn't crossed her mind. I must commend her for being so adept at avoiding unnecessary extra steps – efficiency at its finest! After my gentle nudge, she did eventually ask the butcher, who confirmed they did indeed have lamb shoulders. I guess it's too much to expect young retail workers these days to think beyond the immediate moment. They have truly mastered the art of minimal effort. Despite this minor hiccup, I drove down to the shop, and as always, their produce was top-notch. The lamb shoulder was as fresh and delicious as ever. So, if you’re willing to provide a little guidance and enjoy a bit of a challenge, this farm shop is still a great place to visit. :) u encountered.

We wanted a good spot for lunch and this place was perfect. Food was varied and of excellent quality. Staff very friendly, quick and helpful. Plenty of parking. And if you want some good local meat then go no further. Had I been able to I would definitely have bought some here ( we were travelling through )
