Was visiting nashville for a heart transplant, stop at shoneys for breakfast and the food was ok but the waiter and programmed the bill for 20 percent tip which i did not care for.

The lunch bar was great . Food was a lot better then other buffets . I was glad I went !

Overall service is awful, me and another customer both totally got ignored. Hers was take out I was planning to eat in. Finally a manager walked by and we ask were they even open. She said yes and said only for Buffett. Totally understand why so many have gone out of business. The Meatloaf on buffet was not even warm. I will not be back or recommend this place to anyone.

Amanda was amazing! She’s always super nice and attentive to her customers. Today we went in, were seated immediately, and had our order taken within 2-3 minutes. The food came out quickly. Throughout our time Amanda checked on us frequently. This is the best service I’ve had in a longtime. Shoutout to Amanda for the great service! She deserves a raise!

I had the slim jim with onion rings and it was delicious. I would've liked a little more lettuce but was still really good as is

I'm very satisfied with Shoney's. They did not have fried chicken on the bar because Friday is catfish day. I don't like catfish, so the manager fried me some swau fish. It was delicious! The waitress was very cordial. The prices are not high. 👌🏾

Miranda was friendly and on top of our needs, from Houston just passing through.

Staff was very welcoming. Food was okay. It hit the spot in a pinch. We were all super hungry for some comfort food and that is exactly what we got. Mac n cheese, chicken, salad bar, fruit, mash potatoes and gravy and green beans.

They were out of baked potatoes. They were out of mac-n-cheese. They were out of RANCH! The Airport Park-N-Go even has Ranch! But Shoneys has a Bar which changes our attitudes. It's Sunday noon and they are no expectations of it being quiet. None of us drank because the beautiful waitress didn't hear us order.. Remember to understand, smile, don't be a jerko!

I understand that restaurants have servers playing host until the host gets there. But my server Erica, well this woman was not only hosting, but running a full section! And doing it wonderfully, I admire the work ethic in this woman, the service was PHENOMANAL, and her personality was wonderful. A bright, wonderful,5 star service experience from this lady! 💫

This has to be the worst service I have ever experienced. I spoke with the manager on duty and she had no answer for such horrific experience. No silverware and the dirty table, we weren’t visited once to ask if we needed anything. The restaurant had a lot of customers and they were not even close to handling everyone efficiently. I will never return to this restaurant and the manager needs customer service training. She was wearing a pink shirt! A very disappointed customer

The lady who took care of my table was very rude. Hope you’ll find better server when you visit here. It’s not even worth to try tbh

Saw this sign on the way out and summed it up perfectly lol. Three out of four orders wrong, and server recommended the hot fudge cake (which is why we came), then when we ordered hot fudge cake 10 minutes later we were told they didn’t have them. I’m not even mad about it, it was pretty hilarious. Shoney’s in East Tennessee is still great but man there are issues at this one 😂 On the bright side: my salmon (which I finally got after 40 minutes) was very tasty! Would recommend ordering the blackened salmon if you find yourself here.

I loved visiting this location! Erica was our server and she was so great! She had great menu suggestions and had such a positive vibe. She got us everything we needed before we even asked. Highly recommend this place and make sure to ask for Erica!

This was the second time we tried this shoneys. The first they would even seat us just stared at us like we weren't allowed there and wouldn't even come across the restaurant to say anything to us. This time we were thinking last time may have been just a bad day so we gave them another chance and the guy sat us with no menus or even asked us what we wanted to drink. After 5 minutes no one came by to give in menus or even water nothing, the buffet looked like it hadn't been cleaned since it was closed last night and the food looked like it was the same food that was put out when it went from lunch. It wasn't that they were busy either because a couple that came in after us, sat down and immediately got menus and drinks. When we left they never said one word to us as we walked out the door. I know it won't hurt their business but we will not be coming back

The food and service was Amazing! The music was turned up so loud that my partner and I had haller at one another to hear, was getting a serious headache, and had to request the music to be turned down.

Very chill & welcoming atmosphere. I had the philly cheese steak sandwich & strawberry pie🍓 They were so good!! Great service & Also very affordable.

We came a little late, like at 8PM to Shoney's on a rainy, stormy night. We didn't really try to come lat, but it was a long day today. Jay was the sweetest. He made us smile and laugh. He was really good with our daughter. The food was good and overall great service. We've been here twice before and never had an issue as well. My daughter got the chocolate cake, and she loved it. The closing manager and other waitresses were really nice as well.

I came in shortly after 1:30 pm. I noticed several dirty tables with dishes and food bits from breakfast (which ends at 11 am). I had to go find a waitress so I could get silverware and a straw. Waitresses and waiters were laughing around the back. Food was meh (stick with breakfast).

After seated. The server didn't show up for about 5 minutes. Didn't speak or understand English very well. Had to help him find items on the device to enter order cause, plus show him on the menu what it was we were ordering. Management wasn't helping him. Clearly needs more training and observations. The food was good and tasty. I didn't like that he asked me for payment without a printed receipt for me to look at, asked Management about that why no printed receipt and was told "didn't he show it to you on the device?" He did but wanted my payment first. Shoney's customers should see a printed receipt of their order to make sure it's right. Not a server that can't understand English hardly at all say, " Hey, look here, it is right here" and just read it off the device with me trying to see it. Waited over 10 minutes for our "to go" desserts that sat under the serving lights till I had to ask for it cause the server was cleaning and setting tables as the manager walked around talking on her phone. Won't ever go back to that, Shoney's.

First, I will explain the 3☆ for atmosphere-leaking roof! Repair is needed. That being said, my husband and I were eating breakfast around 8:30 a.m. The food and service was great!

The bus boys cleaning tables wear gloves. They spill liquids in floor and don’t clean it up for a slip n fall issue to customers. The same gloved guy cleans table and then takes clean paper to place on table and swipe hands over paper. So now the once clean table is now contaminated. He slings drinks in tubs like he hates his job. Tables dirty and floor worse.

The health dept needs to investigate this Shoneys! They had a man they were talking about that had the flu and he was not coming in tonight! Several minutes later he showed up. Again the emp. Started to talk about why is he in there but no one asked him to leave. He was all over the restaurant even in the back with food. He stood very close to our table again talking about him having the flu. I was very uncomfortable. Finally after more than 30 minutes all over the restaurant he finally left. If I get sick I will sue Shoneys. The food was not good. The pork chops were so tough we could not cut them. The chicken had been sitting there so long it was too tough. We drove 20 minutes to get there to waste our money. I did tell the waitress no one offered to fix it. I won't be back. We spent approx. $48.00 on food and drinks. Shameful.

I came here for the nostalgia....sont bother. Nothing is the same as it used to be. The iced tea is made from a mix or an old tea bag or something. I was told it was homemade but it's definitely not. I sent back un sweetened and sweetened and decided to go with a sprite, after all, how can you screw that up? Well they managed to because their mix was way off and it tasted horrible. Food was Italiano night on the buffet. Fake mashed potatoes, chicken breading wasn't cooked all the way (the chicken was). The salad dressings have to be the cheapest brands out there. Awful. I normally don't leave bad reviews but this was so bad I had to warn others. Maybe the food from the menu was good. So sad because this used to be such a great little restaurant. Last thing, while others seems to have great service. My waitress, Patricia, wasn't very friendly at all. Sorry Shoneys, go back to the good old days...at least on some things.

We tried to look this up cuz that's insane for a breakfast buffet to me at least 20 per person. Bill was 44 for 2 people 1 coffee, 1 soda. They are either stealing or it is insanely overpriced.

Food was okay, service was wonderful, bathrooms and other surfaces were dirty. There was a roof leak with buckets under it as you come into the first entrance. It has been many years since going to a Shoney's and boy have they changed. They have a full bar on one side and a restaurant on the other. They have a full buffet in front. The atmosphere besides the lack of cleanliness was just bad. Hard to explain, but it felt cold and yucky not warm and friendly. The only great thing really was our server, she was a breath of fresh air in the yuckiness of the place.

No dessert 😕 on bar. This is wrong. EVERY Bar in the World 🌎 has a dessert 🍨 on the bar, BUT this one. Even the Shoney's in Lebanon, TN, has the little strawberry 🍓 short cakes 🎂. This a cheap way of trying to make you spend over $50 (for 2 people with a drink) at a buffet. That's just wrong, not to have something. A little cake 🎂 or something.

Definitely a fall from grace... Food a little bland 😔 I think this is my last time going

Stopped in for dinner, mainly for nostalgia. Few Shoneys remain. Service was friendly. Buffet food mediocre & very random. Booths/tables have seen better days. Feels like a restaurant searching for direction without a clear target patron. Buffet? Bar? Diner? Hopefully they can figure out a game plan and survive.

Awesome food, We had a very friendly waitress (not ours) that would stop by & just talk so sweet to my dad! She had a wonderful upbeat persona & it was breathtakingly appreciated. I hope she is recognized for her smile & ways to make a customer feel like family. ❤️❤️. PS - I've remembered the jokes!

Went in this past Sunday. Erica was my waitress ,It was very busy and they appeared to be a little understaffed she was very attentive to the best of her abilities and was in good spirits and did her best to take care of my needs and everyone around me. Definitely recommend giving her a request if you stop it. Food was good. Atmosphere is okay. A little outdated but generally a good experience

Pancakes were dry, and bacon was cold and didn't taste good.

No food really available and blamed it on lazy cooks

My family came to Nashville to visit and decided to get take out from Shoney. When walking in no one greeted us. When the waitress finally came she didn't even offer us a menu, instead asked what we wanted. She didn't even let us finish our order before going to the next person. When we got to the hotel room they only gave us two small syrup and butter even though we asked for extra on both sets of 4 pancakes. The salad bar was very limited didn't even have cheese on it. Check your food before leaving, lesson learned.

Definitely beyond its day. The food is sub par. The bar had food that was beginning to age: wilted lettuce, brown pears, etc. Waitstaff was great, very helpful and accommodating. The area was clean, but outdated.

Great place for breakfast, hot bar has everything you could won't an not pricey !! Service was great !!

This place was a definite no go on food and atmosphere being that close to the airport and it being Dinner time. The food was cold and didn't have many choices other than chicken and sliders

Wow who knew Shoneys had gotten so bad. The food wasn't terrible but the staff was atrocious. They were lazy. We were never offered a refill and no one ever checked on us to see if we needed anything.

Shoney's Buffet just like you remember-- except this one has a bar. Yes, they get packed for breakfast all weekend & many weekdays. The food is consistently good.

This visit was OK this day. My son's enjoyed it.

I placed a pickup order online. When I got home I discovered a sandwich with only the items that I said to leave off. The ticket attached to the food and the receipt from online don't match at all. The even managed to mess up the spaghetti by leaving off the cheese. Called up there and they wanted me to drive back up there even though I am half an hour away. Never again.

No real complaints but final bill for two‐breakfast buffet including tip, $44.

Not sure if it was our skin color but me and mom went after a long drive from Memphis we walked in there was a waiter at the front didn't greet or smile just said one moment then a smiling lady came towards us and seated us I'm assuming she was the manager anyhow Patricia was our server I ordered long island and water mom ordered sweet tea she brought out 2 waters only she asked if we need menus we said we was getting the bar she said help yourself we did and she never came bk to check on us but instead Continued CONSTANTLY checking on other tables that was a different race had to flag her down to tell her we were ready to pay she just looked and said hang on came bk after 4mins keep in mind they were not busy plenty of empty dirty tables the bar food was ok lettuce on cold bar was brown we basically wasted $49 for 2 good cups of water and a not strong long island never again

The food was good, but the staff did not know the soup of the day.

It was very busy when we came the last two mornings and appeared to be rather understaffed even so our server Erica went above and beyond and gave us excellent service , she had a great attitude and made sure we had everything we needed . We will definitely be back to see her .if you stop in definitely look for her you won't be disappointed.

DEE is AMAZING, so very helpful made us and our family feel right at home we usually don't come often the last couple times we have bad experiences with servers, but DEE made all the difference its nice when you go out for your birthday and someone like DEE made it such a memorial experience.....everyone ask for Dee you wont be disappointed

If you want good service with a friendly smile go visit DEE she sets the tone and atmosphere the only reason we come is when Dee is available we need more people like her, most of the servers walk around on their phone but DEE makes every experience worth coming back......

All I can say is wow Dee is thus far the best server I've ever had hands down at any restaurant I've ever been to ..The she was very attentive and we never had to ask for one single thing , it was my wife's birthday and she definitely treated us with the best positive attitude our drinks never ran dry and her energy and positivity was perfect,I've been to this location a bunch of times but never have we been treated with such a friendly positive attitude,we will be back to see miss Dee, she made our experience the best we've ever had keep doing you miss Dee your angelic and it shows absolutely love her butterfly and ambitious tatts definitely a beautiful soul, the other servers could definitely use a pointeror 2 she loves what she does and it shows....we will be back again next week for the best hospitality thank you

Always been a shoneys fan since a child. I eat the slim Jim every time. And onion rings. Glad I can still experience this goodness.

Okay, I am aging myself. But, I was pleasantly surprised to see a full bar inside Shoney's now.

Hot fudge cake is a staple and it's as good today as it was when I was over 40 years ago.

Our server was not nice and had an attitude and my food cold not warm or hot. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL!!!

My wife and I first went to a Shoney's in Myrtle Beach back in 2014 We raved about their breakfast buffet for 10 years always wishing we would be near one again. But we live in New Jersey and just don't have any near We visited Nashville 2 weeks ago and lucky enough a Shoney's was right across from our hotel. Love love love there breakfast buffet Non better From the best bacon, grits, eggs, French toast strips, cooked ham, fruit, salad Doesn't get better

Food was great service was terrible

Service was super slow. Took several minutes to be greeted at the door. Once seated it took 10 minutes for our waitress to come over to ask for our drink order then about 5 to get the drinks. We couldn't tell if she was just overwhelmed, new, or not very good. There weren't many people in the restaurant either. We got the buffet. Food looked old and dried out. Gravy had a thick film over it. Mashed potatoes were hard on top. Chicken dry. Salad bowls empty. We went at 6pm so it wasn't like they were close to closing either. We ordered the steak. Took 20 minutes for them to bring a medium rare steak out. Steak wasn't bad. We didn't even go for 2nds the buffet and food weren't good enough. We had to track down the waitress to get our check and pay. We will never return here and won't recommend it.

I loved how good the food is and how the food is ALWAYS changing so you never get bored of plain food and the decoration is really good alot of cool stuff that keeps you on the edge

We've been going to Shoney for a long time and in a lot of different locations. But this Shoney is one of the best I've ever been to. Ever thing was great.

Don't order the Chicken Tenders they are so dang little. And you only get 5 tiny pieces. You get a ton of French fries compared to the chicken tenders. If you ask for extra dipping sauce they look at you like your crazy. The servers were very slow.And I was in there at a slow time of day. It was maybe people at 4 or 5 other tables. I'm talking maybe 2 or 3 people at each table.

It was fairly good food, decent price, with great service. The environment, not so much. All the chairs and booths were pretty beat up. Don't take your date here... but then again, don't take your date to Shoney's in general.

Great, but tables need refinished. Had paper on them and that made better but part not covered was sticky!

Husband's fish sandwhich was not a sandwhich. The fillets were luke warm and over cooked. Our friend's omelette had barely cooked peppers and onions on top of the egg instead inside the omelet and my Philly steak ended up being chicken Philly without a bun. They ended up putting it on bun but no onion or peppers. Disappointed.

There are so few Shoney's Restaurants left in operation in our area (Georgia) that we were happy to find this one in Tennessee. The employees were nice and the food was delicious.

Pulled up parking lot only had 3 cars there. Soon as u walked in the door the floor is nasty. asked why it wasn't packed was told because school was back in. No..it's Saturday school is always out on Saturday and not to forget it's Labor day weekend. So whatever our waitress was fine. It was the other waitress the darker one with the attitude. Don't know why she had one with us but I wish her well.overall the food was okay the salmon was good. But after today I have no need to ever go back 8/31/2024

First time going to a Shoneys and I wasn't sure what to expect. It has a salad bar/buffet and a small menu. It's just really average/ below average food.

Food was fresh and hot. 2nd time I have been there. Erica was our server, she was awesome

Spoke to the owner and after the conversation with him I understand why his employees do what they do and why this happened. A simple healthcare dept visit will take care of it, I wish you all the success with the team you’ve hired, you deserve every single thing that happens t witnessed 1st hands the following health code violations - Employee was observed using the restroom AND left the restroom WITHOUT washing his hands - employee was observed handling ready to eat foods without gloves immediately after not washing his hands - 2 employees were working without hair net , they were observed running their hands thru their hairs, lifting their shirts and touching their torsos In plain sight (hostess stand). They were then Observed picking up from kitchen and from food buffet ready to eat foods and served guests the food - the manager was alerted to this situation and did nothing to correct or rectify . Did not provide them with gloves or instructed them to wash their hands. Employees were observed serving and setting guests on dirty, not wiped tables. Instead they were using paper to cover tables instead of simply wiping them clean - food from buffet was left outside of the ice , outside of the sneeze guard cover for longer than 1 hour. Food was later restocked BACK into the buffet - this level of ignorance and Negligence is so severe it borderlines in criminal. Please please do something about it

The food just isn't what it used to be. The staff are friendly however.
