We stumbled upon this wonderful deli with counter service shop while enjoying a day with the local train. It was perfect for our family- the food was excellent, especially the biscotti cheesecake. There is also a variety of speciality items for sale, gifts and jams and beers. The staff was friendly and polite.

Seems like Winchcombe has become a desert of good service! Having left The Tipsy Egg Café around the corner for being ignored we were visited upon here by poor management of "staff shortages" effectively blaming the customer for that! "No, we haven't got that". "No, we don't have time to do that". etc. All really rather expensive anyway thus making all the shortcomings here harder to swallow (no pun intended)! We decamped to The Coffee Pot at the heritage railway station - watch out for their review; they played a blinder going some considerable way to sparing Winchcombe's blushes!

We used to love coming for Sunday breakfast after a walk, and you could read the papers and see people we knew. We're glad the cafe is open again, post-pandemic, and I've been in a few times recently with friends. Great coffee and lovely cakes, but the deli food is is also great for a light lunch. Food Fanatics is very central and convenient, just off the High Street and among interesting and useful shops.

We’d been out walking and were keen to sit and relax whilst eating a hearty lunch. Perching on the 2 high stools by the window the food was ok it looked bland with no type of garnish, just what you asked for on a white plate. Expensive for what it was (panini and coleslaw for one and a scotch egg and coleslaw for the other). We both left feeling hungry and disappointed by the our lunch. We were also disappointed by the manner of the staff. Winchcombe town sign says Winchcombe welcomes walkers, but we beg to differ. Maybe customers are an inconvenience here? We really wanted to like it but won’t be back and wish we’d gone elsewhere.

Admittedly this was not our first choice being off the High St (first two were full) but it was well chosen. The deli is great. We had our meal at the high bar so we could people watch. The quiches and homemade slaw were good as was the hot apple juice. Very clean. They are quite scrupulous about sanitising after every customer. You really can't complain about that. The staff wear masks and they seem relaxed about whether you choose to or not.

My friend and I were walking the Cotswold Way and had called into the tourist information centre and they recommended this place for lunch. It was fairly busy but only one person in front of me at the counter. My friend took a seat and I waited at the counter to order. I was then told very abruptly to ask my friend to move from the table and sit on the 2 seats in the window. I was told the table we had chosen was for 4 people! My friend moved to the window to find the seats were high bar stools. We had been walking for 10 miles and the thought of sitting on high stools did not appeal. So my friend found another table which was 2 seats which looks more comfortable. The very rude Middle Aged lady serving caused a scene by shouting across to my friend telling her not to sit there. She then pointed to the sign and very rudely told me I am supposed to wait when all I had done was stand and wait to order. We just gathered our things and walked out. They obviously didn’t like the fact we were walkers and had rucksacks taking up space in their small cafe area. I was very shocked and can honestly say I have never experienced such bad customer service. Fortunately we found a lovely bakery round the corner who even though they were busy found us seats and we had a delicious lunch there. I would avoid this place like the plague. I was not surprised to read very similar reviews of this place. It seems they have no idea how to serve people!

The food served here is of good quality. From siple tea/coffee and toast to a breakfast. This a=is also a quality food shop. The staff are exceptional and the tables, seating etc is always cleaned when vacated by customers. Not many are continuing with this regime, now that formal restrictions have been lifted. We just visited Food Fanatics in Winchcombe, we asked for a table to be told none were available but we could have take away drinks; there were two taken tables and one reserved when we entered. A couple were leaving and offered us their table but the rude man serving told us we could not have it, and as we waited for drinks, a second group entered and were offered the table!! I queried this with the exceptionally rude middle aged man behind the till to be told in a sarcastic fashion he was sorry if I was unhappy but the other people came in and the reserved table was free until 12! Astoundingly rude, awful service and I’ll be sure to let my local friends know that apparently young families are not the desired clientele here! On our recent visit we stopped for a late lunch and despite the time found a good choice of items, even for our fussy vegetarian. We were served quickly and our food arrived promptly and tasted delicious. When we returned to buy some food from the deli to take home, we were served by a rather grumpy and slow member of staff. I know we all like fresh food, but waiting 35 minutes for cooked breakfast is unacceptable level of service. The black spot bacon was good, but the sausage was bland and they need to be taught how to properly fry an egg. Whilst i waited someone else complained for the wait for a coffee and they brought another person the wrong breakfast. This is a nice shop with nice food, but I would reiterate that eating there is a nightmare. I also separately bought 3 local beers for which they rang up £15.00 plus, they couldn't even get that right!. Hunt.. you can get local beer cheaper at the Coop.

Friend had salmon salad - dairy-free coleslaw and gluten-free bread provided without fuss. All very enjoyable. Steadily busy which is always a good sign.

We decided to have breakfast at this deli as it looked nice, we had at least a 20 min wait, just for eggs on tost and granola with yoghurt! My granola was so bitter had to ask for more honey as could not eat it, had a tiny bit of honey arrive only to find it still too bitter to eat, so left half of it. Coffee was good though! Table as so close together you feel like you cant speak as everyone can hear you!No atmosphere at all, and no music, will not be back anytime soon! Very dissapointing!

We only popped in for a takeaway sandwich. They did look good. But then we saw the amazing array of tempting savoury offerings, put the sandwiches back, and ordered lunch to sit in the café.Service was helpful when we ordered at the counter. There was a longish wait for our food but that only sharpened the appetite. I had a generous slice of quiche with peppers, feta and spinach. As requested, my side salad came without dressing and was very fresh. The quiche was very good, and my companion's savoury tart was declared excellent too. Nice touches - tap water came in a jug with ice, for instance. We were simply strolling past when we spotted Food Fanatics so this was a really fortunate find. Highly recommended.

As we had recently ate breakfast and saw this wonderful cafe/deli on our way to Snowshill Manor we had to call in for a coffee and a strawberry milkshake, the service was prompt and polite, the cafe was spotless and I just wish I was hungry enough to try the food on offer as it all looked delicious. Everything you could possible need was on offer in the deli, it was very well stocked.Next time we visit this area we will definitely try out the food.

My wife and I asked a group of local businessman for a lunch recommendation and without hesitation they suggested Food Fanatics. We were certainly not disappointed - the smooth pate and toast and ham and cheese salad, both well presented, were excellent. Together with professional and friendly staff and an interesting array of quality deli items this establishment will assure an early return for us when we're next in the area.

Open cafe style relaxed where you can sit in the window (bar style) to eat and drink then buy local produce for dinner in the evening. The Eccles cakes are the best I've had. You can also drink a beer with your sandwich. Easygoing with good service then a nice stroll around Winchombe afterwards.

Booked in for a large family celebration. We had a section of the restaurant to ourselves which was perfect considering the amount of children in our party. All team were happy & helpful. Exceptional customer service, could not be Faulted! Special thanks to Jamie & George for all their help throughout the night with George kindly taking a Family picture for us before we left. Massive Thank you to the Kitchen team for cooking all 23 meals to perfection! All food arrived in a timely mannor, presented well and most importantly Hot and delicious. Highly recommended expessically for large parties. We did provide a Pre order due to us being such a large party, this made the process quick and stress free on the night. Once again Gus has excelled himself, we tried the Scallop, Tiger Prawn Risotto, Ham Hock & Guinea Fowl starters, Halibut and Venison mains followed by Dard Chocolate Marquis and I had the Apple & Blackberry Crumble - this melts in your mouth! The plates were cleaned and the wine empty! The entire meal was absolutely fabulous. I cannot praise Gus and family more - we will be back!

Dangerous pub. My brothers and I in our 40s, went to go for a drink. As it was close to closing time we were assailed by two young door men, who by default were preventing people from entering the pub. Their default position was to push customers, escalate, and use agressive language, and throw punches. It ended up in a fight between 3 elderly men, 2 young lads, and about 3 random bar staff. A genuinely horrible, and dangerous place. The door staff are immature, poorly trained, and unskilled in martial arts. I managed to bust a knee tying keep one of the door staff from kicking a 40 years old, father of two in the head. Do not attend if you want any semblance of a sensible and mature night. And to the door staff, you are ruining an otherwise wonderful town, for the sake of your ego and insecurities.
