Coffee overfilling the cup and scalding temperature, could not avoid spilling when putting sugar in the cup, scalded my hand and soaked through my clothes. Not even an apology from the woman serving. POOR SERVICE.

Fontanella is reasonably priced and yummy food. Not lots of space but for a hospital cafe it is good for a bite to eat. Good range of products

We went in for jacket potatoes, which are nice. The staff was ok but they don't have a full menu on display, it's like they keep it secret. Good selection of sandwiches and cold items ( friut, jelly, custard or yoghurt in pots ect) Dint have any tables free so we went to sit out on the grass which had a better atmosphere! 2 jackets with 2 fillings, a Bannana and 1 pastry cost over £12.

Ordered a simple bacon cob but when I got back to my staff room I opened it up to put ketchup on and it just crumbled into small bits that looked like brown rice. Straight in the bin it went and never again will I get one. Hopefully I will get a reply fro them.

Good place to sit down and enjoy a coffee and cake. Located at the main entrance to the hospital it is easy to find. Ideal if you are visiting someone in the hospital or have an appointment yourself. Offers a variety of snacks, cakes, lunch options. Often quite busy.

Wow, I have never seen Fontanella anything other than busy and that's a good sign! The staff always seem rushed off their feet and yet never fail to smile and be friendly. Depending on the time of day, the choice of food includes sausage cobs through to a wide range of sandwiches and baguettes, jacket potato with various fillings, soup, pastries, cakes, crisps, and chocolate bars. Drinks include cans and bottles of fizzy pop, juice, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. Prices are comparable with any other food outlet in any other hospital but not too expensive. A good team - well done!

Whether you are working and want to grab a bite to eat in or take away, a patient wanting a break from hospital food or a visitor needing a snack break, Fontanella is brilliant and rivals it's major competitor in terms of service, variety and price for hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, panini, salads, etc, as well as items like breakfast rolls and pastries and the usual range of quality beverages. It perhaps lacks some of the ambience of a cafe on the high street, but it offers everything else you could need and more. It's been a second home for me while my husband has been in hospital

Do not go here 15 minutes waiting for a diet coke at my table Informed a member of staff who told me I hadn't ordered at my table. Showed her the proof. Coke arrived a couple of minutes later with the excuse being a large backlog of customers Restaurant only half full Shocking Service!!!

So disappointed 😞 Bacon was virtually raw, no ketchup (they'd ran out at 11.00) half baked/half burnt roll and staff who really don't care. I was looking forward to an M & S breakfast to set me up before a well earned day off shopping......disgusting food and service. Shame on you you really need to do better. I will definitely not be back.

Visited during a Saturday afternoon as a break from sitting in my son's hospital room. I love subway but my sandwich was awful. It was incredibly dry, stale and tough to eat. The staff were polite but not welcoming and sooooo slow. I should mention there was nobody ahead of me, nobody sat in, just 2 people behind me, basically the quietest subway I've ever been in on a Saturday.
