Nice little shop and cafe, lots of nice items inside but more importantly a lovely cafe at the front with a nice array of goodies from rye sandwiches, savoury quiches and snacks, cakes and hot / cold drinks. Along with a lovely seating area at the front.

I haven't been here for over a decade but little has changed and still love it! We stopped in for a few essentials whilst staying near Halesworth on a quick break... and didn't want to leave. We had delicious salads with local pastries, and a couple of great smoothies. After buying all of our groceries, we found all of the travel gifts for friends and family... plus a few more! Then (following some great healthcare advice and knowledge from Frank) I bought some supplements which are already making a difference. Thank you Frank! It's got just the right amount of everything, with some really lovely products, lovely staff with great knowledge. Wish we had one of these on our high street. Be sure to stop in there if you're passing.

Awful cup of tea, the teabag had evidently been dipped in a couple of times and removed while I was choosing a pastry, and so there was no trace of tea colour or flavour. My friend who was in front of me was asked how she liked her tea, she asked for a "builder's" ie good and strong, but hers was just the same. Undrinkable, but we were on the move so couldn't go back to complain or ask for a replacement. The cinnamon buns were also a disappointment, they were tough and dry, at a guess I would think they were from the day before. £6 wasted.

Went in for a snack Ok then went to buy a watch in the shop . A woman came in with her dog and crowding me out talked the manager (didnt know this at time j the manager let her dog out of cage and now both were crowding me out discussing and fussing dogs The woman then says I’m going to look at jewellery I commented perhaps I should c one with you . She told me they are friendly in Halesworth I said we are in Yorkshire . She then said WE DONT LIKE TOURISTS COMING HERE ESPECIALLY FROM YORKSHIRE .extremely rudely and loudly . I then asked to speak to manager who turned out to be the other woman . She totally condoned this customer saying we are inclusive . I have never in my life felt so insulted that the manager did nothing giving the go ahead for her staff to also condone such behaviour . I hope this goes viral as I left the place in tears and was totally staggered that in this day and age customers and management are allowed to be so DISCRIMATORY in public to TOURISTS especially from YORKSHIRE . My partner walked out of the shop as soon as the woman and manager crowded me out suspecting their bias to dogs rather than CUSTOMERS I

The wafting smell of joss sticks should have been enough. This place has not weathered the years well. It’s basically a vast shed full to the brim with stuff, that has a room and courtyard with tables and calls itself a cafe. It is neither focussed nor organic though. The food is average to mediocre. Bought in so not fresh flavours. Not organic. The service is lacklustre to downright indifferent. The prices are a joke given it’s all served on paper take out plates and cups with wooden cutlery. Decidedly inorganic and wasteful. To add insult to injury, they expect you to clear up your table too. No customer loos in spite of having almost 30 seats. Not sure that’s even legal. Meanwhile the shop is just a clutter of stuff, from high end deli to hippy tat to overpriced nicnaks, greetings and cosmetics. And yet I didn’t feel inspired to buy a single thing. Possibly a latent concern it would all reek of those joss sticks.

It is getting easier in life to find organic foods, however a store dedicated to organic outside of london is still hard to find. So to stumble across one whilst camping on holiday was brilliant. Coffee was delicious. Store operating a one way system with hand santiser available. Friendly welcome. Well laid out (except the freezer is hit first in the one way, makes you feel the need to rush around the remaining shop - possibly consider a way to incorporate the freezer/fridges at the end of the one way?

Focus in general is a pleasant shop and cafe, well laid out in a limited space, with a nice ambiance and a decent choice. It's name is 'Focus Organic' so you would reasonably expect all of the (at least fresh) food and drink served to be organic. Not so. All of the milks served in the coffee etc are standard. Which brings me onto my pet hate, and the reason for the low scored review. My wife is vegan. She has to have soya milk in her coffee. We were charged an extra 50p for this privilege, making her regular sized capurcino an eye-watering £3.25p. Most establishments stopped this sharp practice years ago. This was not a flavoured, speciality soya. It was plain - which can be purchased now cheaper than cow's milk per litre. It is not an extra, it is a cheaper substitute! Please stop ripping people with special dietary requirements off, and we may well come back!

Very busy as usual at this popular venue Prices are not for the feint hearted with an explanation of you get a salad as well as your meal? A few rocket leaves 4 pieces of cue and 4 olives (hate them) does not make almost double the takeaway price?Staff are friendly and service is good.Think this is aimed at vegetarians and vegans but plenty of choice overall.I had a piece of ginger fruitcake to finish but this was a little dry. Either poor storage or a few days old maybe?I will be back as I prefer this to a pub lunch, just might have to save up for a week or two first.

Halesworth is not short of cafes but Focus has become our favourite - really good, healthy, organic food, plenty for vegetarians and great coffee too. Some food items are pricey to eat in, but the ingredients are top quality. Tables outside, inside, upstairs - take your pick. The staff are always friendly and service quick. Also worth looking at the shop which carries lots of pasta, beans, grains, coffee substitutes, fresh and frozen items - the range for vegetarians and vegans is definitely growing. the shop is lovely and sells some lovely things. the cakes are generally good, the service is good, but the salmon quiche i had is a crime against both quiche and food in general. Pasty, revolting pastry enclosing a strange flavourless yucky texture, something that would be unacceptable in the 50p aisle at LIDL is inexcusable in a fancy organic shop. the worst of it is i think i remember ordering one about 6 months ago and thinking the same

What a great discovery. How many times did we walk past without realising what was inside? Great place for an organic light meal and then shop around for the ingredients to take home. Really friendly people and as for those two bad coffee reviews on Facebook, ours was fine. We hadn't realised just what was behind the smallish frontage with the three pavement tables. Inside has more tables and there is also a small courtyard with a few more and even an upstairs with a comfortable sofa and a few more tables. All the vegetables and salad are pristinely fresh and there is a wide selection of the way these can be combined with various quiches and other fine things on offer so rather than simply listing what was available when we were the I leave you to enjoy the selection on the day of your visit from the offerings of the day.I like eating places that have additional attractions and at Focus there are plenty. The shop seems to go on for ever and as well as healthy food items there are bottles of local beer and wine and Frank is happy to suggest what he has experienced and likes. The bottle of beer I took home was excellent.Food is not the end of the attraction by any means and there all sorts of other things to peruse and a quick visit to their web site or Facebook page will give you an indication of current stock. We got a warm welcome and great service on our first visit and it will not be our last.Pretty reasonable prices and we liked the over all ambience. Most things about Focus are great: food, drinks and service. However, a few staff changes and it just average, but with a high price tag. We have been to Focus many times in the last 12 months, having recently purchased a property in the town. Yesterday we went in twice, firstly for coffee and then later to buy some food, to take home for a light lunch. The coffee was poorly made. Hot but too little flavour. When we returned to buy salads etc the service was simply dreadful. The lady could not work the till and didn't know how to pack the quiche, sausage roll and salads. And she was terribly slow. Apologetic yes, but she shouldn't be serving without a lot of training. The management are making a grave mistake if they don't ensure that the staff on duty are of a consistent standard.

Ive been going to focus organics for many years now and I love the lay out and selection of different health products. The members of staff are mostly pleasant other than a middle aged short haired blonde woman- one of the managers I presume as Ive never seem her in uniform. As I said I do like this shop but Ive found myself not wanting to go in now as on a few occasions the same person as-for mentioned has been extremely rude to me- once standing having a long conversation blocking the entrance-which I asked excuse me twice both times she looked at me and did nothing and never did move until her conversation was done. Another occasion I was looking for some dried pinto beans and she judgementally asked if she could help with a scowl on her face as if I had been looking too long or perhaps was going to steal something. Another time I brought something from the cafe counter after waiting for her to finish her conversation (I understand its only polite to have chat with your regulars but not to the extent were you make a unnecessary qeue). finally serving me she lacked in basic politeness and ended the transaction by shoving my change in my hand. This is since having my child and going in with my pram- perhaps she doesn't want young mothers in her store? Either way I wont be going back.

Good products and good value coffee and snacks. A real bonus for Halesworth. Worth a look if never been in before.

We actually stopped in Halesworth to eat at another cafe which was closed - we chose Focus after 'window shopping' all the other eateries either side of the main thoroughfare - and what a pleasant little restaurant it was! Friendly staff, simple but tasty fare and nice surroundings. Most enjoyable.

A great place to stop for good coffee. They also have a very good choice of pastries and sandwiches. I can recommend the Pastel de Nata, a Portugese speciality and they are made by a local Portugese lady. Excellent choice of everything organic.

I visit of as at least once a week. Friendly service and great coffee. They have recently refurbished to let more tables inside for the growing coffee trade. Great idea. Focus also provides fantastic gift ideas and all the healthy organic food and drink ideas you could imagine. A must visit when in Halesworth.

Four of us stopped for coffee and light lunch, we saw a vacant table in the sun outside Focus Organic on the pedestrian street, which is unusual as its normally not sunny or fully occupied if it is! Three of us had different dishes: a quiche, a Thai wrap and a sort of chick pea samosa .. Very tasty. Good coffee too. Nice staff, welcoming and attentive but not intrusive. Good value, very pleasant.

Very limited seating inside but both latte and cappuccino were excellent and under £2. Good atmosphere. Could do with more indoor seating for blustery days.

Writing a full and accurate review of this place will only mean scores of people flocking there and me not getting my usual seat outside after having visited the Post Office over the road. It's that good, and it is my office nearly every day. Vanessa is the queen of all toast, and Juan the king of comedy. Okay, do come, but don't argue if I get you to give up your (my) seat

One visit inspired us to another, and with two days left on our break, probably another! The ice cream is superb, gingerbread, pistachio, stem ginger, pear & vanilla to name but a few flavours. The shop itself is well stocked and if we lived here it would most certainly be a regular stop when shopping in Halesworth.

Sadly to say was disappointed. Let’s start off with the positives, ordered a burger with a Stilton and spring onion sauce, hand cooked chips onion rings and coleslaw. The coleslaw was really creamy, the chips and onion rings were delicious. And the bun was fine. Bottle of wine was lovely. That’s where it stops, my burger was tough and over done, but I could get over that, it was the Stilton and spring onion sauce. A sludge with no flavour. Not even a smidgeon of Stilton flavour. I did ask the waitress where was the Stilton? She said, bless her, that I can see you have had some (where?) think she meant the sauce, no Stilton or even flavour on my plate. She offered to go and get some more. I was horrified when she came back with this pallid gloopy sauce in a dish (some that had already been thrown over my burger) that tasted of absolutely nothing. Yuk. Surely if Stilton is the first named ingredient in the sauce you should be able to taste something? Got hubby to try, he understood my disappointment .,From my comments you will know I did ask and said I wasn’t happy. Not her fault. The kitchens . So… if you like Stilton don’t go for the burger with Stilton and spring onion sauce. All you get is insipid pale tasteless gloop. Oh and the sauce on the burger made the lettuce go soft and slimy, no crunch, and goodness knows what happened to the tomato. Soft and slimy too. To be honest I am fairly local, but wouldn’t go back.

Bit on the lumpy side. Starter was salmon and prawn. 1st time I came sauce was great. Second none. I'm sure the fish dish is wonderful but the steak I had wasn't so great. Pudding was a delight. Sadly for a Friday it was very quiet
