Fly Line in Leeds

Visited here for lunch with my 2 daughters. Manager was welcoming and friendly. Staff also polite and friendly. Food was delicious and was a fab sized portion. They went above and beyond for my 9yr old daughter’s order as she has coeliac disease, diary and egg allergies. She is also autistic. A booklet was brought to the table showing what foods contained what. There is surprisingly quite a lot she could eat! Her plate was brought out separately to ours and I was told her order was made first and separate to ours to avoid cross contamination. I can’t recommend this pub enough, we will be back again soon. Thank you for making it an easier experience with the allergies!

This place appears to be a pub but you have to book a table even if just for drinks? It's unwelcoming and could do with a deep clean. Tables grubby and had to hunt for condiments which were sticky. Floors and chairs need deep clean. An awful lot of waiting..at the bar and for service at the carvery. We had the carvery. Good choice of veg and spuds. Weirdly it all tastes the same no matter what you have? Service dire..we felt like we were a hassle simply by being there? If you want a nice lunch don't go here we won't be returning.

When we entered we were greeted by Reece who showed us to our table, which we had reserved for 1pm Saturday for a large group and even though it was busy there was still room for walk ins. The food was piping hot and our orders were served quickly by very efficient staff. There is a very warm welcome for all ages and the Fly Line is also dog friendly.

Oh my Gosh!! It was our first time having a carvery meal at the Flyline and it was AMAZiNG!! Food was delicious and yummy! Fantastic selection 👍🏼 Best Carvery Meal around!! Definately be back!

Excellent carvery, up to 3 meats, and plenty of vegetables

We arrived during a busy lunch rush but we're still seated almost immediately. We had booked a table that morning and the member of staff when greeted us was immediately able to find our booking and show us to our table. The area we sat in was a touch crowded but that's to be expected at the time we visited. I ordered a vegetarian carvery option and the staff member behind the carvery was extremely helpful in letting me know what items on the carvery were vegetarian by explaining what had been cooked in animal products and what hadn't etc. she also made sure to make me aware that the gravy was also vegetarian. The quality of food was brilliant, as it has been every time we've visited.

It's always quite busy on a Sunday. Very nice staff. The carvery was nice just don't have the pork always serves very fatty pieces of meat. There was more fat that the actual meat itself. I regretted choosing it. The atmosphere was a little loud and a bit crowded at times. We got seated straight away which we appreciated as a walk in. The staff are all really lovely. I know the spicy burger is really good. Highly recommend it.

Very underwhelming. Carvery was bland. Gravy lacked any flavour. Family area feels like a cafe. Toy machine next to carvery stand. Wasn't too keen on the children. Being by there. Flat atmosphere. Staff were very polite and welcoming.

Went here for my daughter’s birthday meal. Was served by the loveliest young lady. All the staff were super accommodating and made my daughter feel very special - we booked on the day because I was unorganised. Food was fab, will definitely be visiting again. Thank you to all the serving team for a lovely experience. Also the giant cake - do not underestimate 😂😂😂

I came in last Thursday to a warm welcome from Anthony and Alex who gave great service with witty banter will definitely be coming back.

We was seated straight away, we both went with the carvery, no cue at hot plate, we also had a baby with us and a lovely lady greeted us with a plate and spoon so we could share are carvery with are baby, she also got us some children books. Was a lovely meal, everything was fresh, the beef was spot on, it melted in your mouth, will definitely be returning.

The food was delicious as always. I ordered the Beef Lasagna and Sweet Potato fries and I really enjoyed it. My two eldest order the Ultimate Souther Fried Chicken burger and they loved it.

Friendly and efficient staff, great food and a good atmosphere

I absolutely love this place!! Not only is it incredibly good value, but the food is lovely and the staff are amazing! Every single time we go they are friendly, welcoming and incredibly helpful. The fact that I can take my very well behaved dog with me also makes a big difference. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

We usually eat at The Flyline for family Birthdays. We ate there today as a party of 8 adults and 2 children aged 3 and 5. For my youngest Granddaughter's 3rd Birthday. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by your Server Julie. She offered to put my Granddaughter's home made Birthday cake in the fridge while we ate. And after we'd finished our meal brought it out to us and sang Happy Birthday to my Granddaughter! Julie has served us several times over the years and is always very kind and helpful and always asks if we are enjoying our food and is there anything she can help us with? Nothing is too much trouble for her and it's always a pleasure to see her there.

We had been advised by family to come and we visited for the first time and we both had carvery. To be honest it was the best external carvery we had had - the vegetables were lovely and the meat was tender and appeared good quality. The service and communication was fabulous - very good experience and will definitely come back 🤩

As someone who works near by and lives no where near, this spot has become my favourite spot to come and have a bite to eat and a drink innetween work. We turned up without booking on this date as we had taken our 5 year old daughter and a few friends out for her birthday. The welcoming front of house managed to squeeze us in which we were very grateful for. Shortly after, while I was placing the food/drinks order, the attentive staff brought crayons and colouring paper for the girls, and stated that they would pop a candle in the dessert of the birthday girl, which we weren’t expecting at all, especially after turning up unannounced. The food was excellent, and the beer was spot on. At dessert time, the staff came over and sang happy birthday with us and true to their word brought candles for my daughter. All in all a very pleasant experience. In fact, I’ve never had a bad one at this establishment. Would recommend to friends and family and won’t hesitate to come back. Very well done Fly Line staff 👏🏻

First time hear we had a carvery witch was excellent Finnish of with a desert and a few drinks the staff was very helpful looked to be a bit short staffed would come here again

We were looking at other venues to have a family meal after having an exceptionally poor experience at our more local venue - I won't name it but it's not part of your company. We were very happy with the food and service we received. It was a relaxed atmosphere and very welcoming.

I called after the snow fall to see if still open. Though they didn't answer they did call me back within 5 mins. Though short staffed they managed their usual Sunday Carvery which we throughly enjoyed.

Great Breakfast with Santa experience. We had two 9 year old boys who had an amazing time, the crafts with Julie were great, stuff suitable for older children which is unusual. They made some lovely keepsake crafts and loved the morning.

Great service, friendly attentive staff. Everyone enjoyed their food ranging from vegan carvery to plain beef burger and a vegetarian chilli. This only being my second visit, I would be happy to return for a family get together.

Popped in for lunch Saturday and very impressed. Quickly seated and the atmosphere and service second to none. Decided to try the small plate carvery and was not disappointed. Plenty of choice and was all well cooked and hot. Will definitely return.

Went for Xmas dinner. The food was excellent. The staff very friendly and efficient.

Food was hot, vegetables had lots of choice some a little overcooked but that is individual taste. Very friendly staff. We had the small plate carvery which was enough for us both.

The worst roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings we've ever had. Slow service. Sat in what resembles a kiddies area. Awful food won't be returning ever.

My friend took my there for a meal for my birthday, both enjoyed the food, friendly helpful staff.

I have visited a few times over the past couple of months and each time I have not been disappointed. We have dietary requirements which have been catered for each time with care and consideration. Big shout out again to Reece who always has a smile on his face and nothing is ever too much trouble and I think that he's the best. I have recommended visiting to many friends and family. The bar service was very slow, as there weren't enough staff on, and the staff that were on duty were not supported by their manager. One of our drinks was forgotten & we had to queue up again to get it! Our table was very worn looking and definitely in need of some varnish. Considering the high prices nowadays, some money should really be spent on the maintenance of the furniture! We were really hoping that everything would be ok with our meals BUT they were missing some of the items that were listed on the menu, which was disappointing and the waitress was rather unapologetic initially. Also the meat portions were quite small. Later the manager admitted there was a disconnect between the menu in the kitchen and the menu in the restaurant, so that was the reason we had not exactly got what we had ordered. He brought us a salad to appease us and asked if we would like anything else to which we replied, yes some complimentary drinks please. He obliged but then later added these drinks to our bill!!! What a terrible experience! We shall not be returning to the Flyline! It's a shame because there are some nice staff that work there and we have had much better experiences in the past, but tonight the green bearded manager failed his staff & customers.

Very tired. Terrible service, mis sold food. Blue bearded manager offered complimentary drinks then tried to charge us for them. Overall shocking value for money. Don't waste your money or time.

We visited this morning for breakfast with Santa. It was a fabulous experience, the selection of crafts and activities were brilliant for the staff and adults! Breakfast was lovely, a family friendly pub with kind and caring staff who always put customers first! We always appreciate the helpfulness of the staff and the welcoming atmosphere! Breakfast with Santa Dec 2024 Family booking with children. Easy to book and pre pay. Meal activities and a visit from The big man himself- Santa. Greeted quickly, lovely festive decorations. Activity table available for crafting. Breakfast buffet, good selection of cooked items and NOT stingy with portions. Overall a great family experience, not over priced and lovely family atmosphere. Well done the flyline, Garforth.

Nice place for food, but let down by poor service from front of house, except for one young woman who was running round, serving tables with an amazing big smile. Prices are way over the top for the food and portions served. Won’t be back I’m afraid

We were a group of 30 family members enjoying the festive menu, I would like to say a big THANKYOU to Jason. He was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We were here for a family Christmas meal. The atmosphere was great, the service was faultless- very attentive. Food on the whole was very good…but there was disappointment over the banoffee pie… which was definitely NOT banoffee pie, more a chocolate torte. See photo. As an allergy family (with a toddler who has a peanut allergy), we had all but given up hope of eating out. Today, however, we were invited to The Fly Line in Garforth by friends. As usual, we began the familiar task of trying to bring our own food for our toddler. That’s when staff member Rian (apologies if I’ve got the name wrong) told us about their thorough allergy protocols and encouraged us to take a look at the menu. Any allergy parent knows that many establishments range from being unaware to unwilling to accommodate allergy needs. Due to the good vibes that my partner got from the staff, we decided to check the online menu and was amazed to see not only allergens clearly listed but also may contains- almost unheard of in our experience. I started explaining to the lady behind the till that we don’t usually order food when we eat out for our kid, but we were impressed with the level of awareness so far and were considering it... That’s when Rian came over and reassured me by explaining how our order would be handled with the utmost care. He detailed how utensils and hands would be thoroughly washed and even mentioned that the garlic bread would be prepared on a separate tray. He also knew the allergens in the cheese and tomato pasta off the top of his head and pointed out the number of allergens they recognise. By this point, I was actually blown away – This level of care and attention is something I’ve never experienced anywhere else in the UK. The staff weren’t just helpful—they were calming, empathetic, and understanding. For the first time in a year or so, our toddler was able to enjoy a family pub lunch with us, and it was such a great experience. The UK needs more establishments like this, with incredible staff like Rian and the lady at the till (so sorry, I didn't catch your name), who made us feel so welcome. We’ll definitely be seeking out more Marston’s pubs in the future because this experience truly made our day. Thank you so much! The staff at The Fly Line should feel incredibly proud—they are the most competent team I’ve come across since our diagnosis. And to Marston’s management: you are a true credit to the pub industry for being so proactive and thorough when it comes to allergies! Oh, and one more thing—there’s an EV charger in the car park, so we were able to charge the car before heading back to Manchester. Amazing service all round!

Decent meal at very fair price. Meal delivered to table within reasonable timeframe. Julie cleaned the table for us before the meal and cleared our dishes away promptly afterwards. She was lovely with us and very friendly.

Today was our first visit -we enjoyed it SO much we have booked for a family birthday meal next Saturday! Right from the lovely young man who greeted us at the door,to Julie who spoke with us at our table,to the Chef we witnessed come from behind her station to carry a meal from the Carvery for a Senior lady....Everyone was AMAZING!-So friendly,so helpful and made everyone feel so welcome.We even had a chat with the Managers. The best meal and experience we have had out in a VERY long time. Please keep up the wonderful work,it is much appreciated.

Have been to the Fly Line many times now. Most of the time everything goes well and it's a good experience. Only once have we had to complain about slow service, and on the same visit they had no carvery running but didn't put any signage up to advertise the fact! Generally service is good, especially on a recent visit on a Thursday evening when Julie and her team were running the show. Julie is brilliant with customers and everyone was on point that day 👍. The menu food is always good. Carveries in general are a bit hit and miss, and vary on when and where you go, but on all visits here they have been good (when available 😉). Visited on one occasion with my Mum (who suffers from Dementia). The carving chef was really patient with my Mum and even saved my plate whilst I helped her out getting lunch and back to the table. Really nice touch thank you 👍. We tend to go for the small carvery as it is more than enough to fill us up 🍖🍖🍖🍖.

Lovely food, great prices, nice atmosphere and friendly staff on both visits my family have made.

A warm welcome supported by a clean and updated environment. Food quality was excellent with a mixture of carvery, mixed grills etc being ordered and helpfully, a tip off when the menu items were arriving so the carvery could be collected and we could all eat together. Good range of drinks available and all with a service which was speedy but not rushed. As a regular but not necessarily frequent visitor, it is great to see standards being maintained and to be recognised on arrival was a friendly bonus. A relaxed, informal and comfortable place to eat great food at very reasonable prices.

Julie is a friendly efficient server, we were warmly greeted by her & it's so lovely to be addressed as "Lady's" instead of "Guys" Unlike many places, she paused to allow us to answer her question on how everything was with our meals, usually it's a token is all ok? As servers waft past not staying long enough for an answer. The 30% off offer meant my mum's wine was free. We come to the fly line quite often & it's always nice. Recommended it.

It's been a long time since I've had a decent carvery in Leeds. The choice of meat was good .it tasted good too.fresh cooked vegetables good choice ..shame the gravy was slightly lumpy n a bit too thick..other than that it was superb. We paid for pigs in blankets, but we didn't get any 😪. We got a dessert to take away a piece of Rocky Road. Not as big as I'd hoped.still very nice . We will return
