We tried here as my mother in law wanted a Carvery and we aren't kern on Toby. She had a carvery of Turkey with Yorkshire Pud with roast and mashed potatoes with other vegetables, she said it was really nice but it needed to be warmer We had Chicken Tikka with rice a poppadom and naan bread and it was just warm. It's the one thing I'm funny about an warm plates. It was quite noisy. Only thing I thought was expensive was the doft drinks at £4.00 for a Coke which was a little flat. The food selection was good and we would go again it seems a very busy place.

Julie greeted us & brought the cutlery, she was lovely. The carvery server as also lovely & very informative. The carvery itself was delicious. Will be back.

Julie is the friendliest, most attentive waitress I’ve ever met! She makes sure you have everything you need and nothing is too much trouble. Food was fine, drinks are a bit expensive though.

We love this pub. Great facilities for the kids, staff are always helpful and welcoming and service is fast for a busy place. The food is great classic pub food and always always get a cake away!

Very disappointed. Went for our anniversary meal. The carvery was cold and appeared to have been there for some time. Must have caught them on a bad day because it's usually a nice meal

Called in for drinks. Like to sit outside when the weather permits in the nice south facing beer garden. There's a little climbing frame there for the kids. Very friendly lady waitress came out to chat with us today, not just to us but to every table, she's an absolute credit to the restaurant/pub.

Lovely lady looked after us - Julie. Julie you are a credit to the pub. What a lovely lady, my little girl who is autistic had a melt down the moment we arrived. This wonderful lady came over and helped me to calm her down. Offered a solution to her upset and calmed her with crayons and paper. So nice to have this rather than judgment!! Friendly place and the food was fab too. Thank you 🤩

The atmosphere is really good, and you don't always need to eat, when me and my Mrs come in we don't always eat and the staff are really friendly and easy to chat to

Good it's dog friendly. Unfortunately the carvery was not the good. A lot of the food had been stood a long time, especially the beef and Yorkshire puddings, couldn't eat these as too dry!

We booked for 9 people with less than an hour’s notice. When we arrived the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, more attentive and more friendly. The food was delicious and served really quickly. The outdoor play area was enjoyed by the three children. The manager on the day (I didn’t catch his name but he had green hair and a green beard!) was just so good! We dropped in on our way home to Hull from Darlington. It was the perfect spot, so glad we found it!

Good choice of menu. Lunch menu as well. Money off offers regularly sent to your phone. Staff happy, smiling and helpful.

It's really good pub grub. I would have scored it higher if the chips had been home made. It is really good value for money. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. Glad it's on my doorstep.

We visited here today as a family of 9 we have been a good few times before. It was abit more busier than usual but the staff still managed to go above and beyond. The food was amazing like always didn't have to wait long for it to come. Julie is great very friendly and always engages with the kids. Excellent service as usual!

Julie made us so welcome as soon as we arrived. We were with our 2 grandsons who were 'exciteable ' and somewhat challenging at times lol. She was absolutely fantastic with them and is an absolute credit to the Fly Line

Great all round!! very helpful, I went with my 5yr old daughter for a carvery tonight the carvery chef helped my daughter with her gravy and carried her plate for her! Really helped me out, Julie was very welcoming and helpful also will definitely be returning

We had a lovely evening meal here at a very reasonable price for the 4 of us. Julie and the rest of the staff served us attentively as did the chef who served our son for his carvery. Thank you all 😊

I had a lovely meal out with my family and the staff were excellent. We were well looked after by a young lad called Ben, and the chefs were extremely helpful with my dietary requirements.

Staff are always pleasant and polite. They are constantly clearing away and keeping things tidy.

The food was very nice, but we had to wait longer than we should have to be seated because there wasn't enough staff. Ben was very nice polite and helpful

Served by Ben at lunchtime, not many people in so quick friendly service, food arrived quickly and hot, checked that we were happy and had a short conversation after I had ordered wrong drink. Very pleasant lunchtime experience. Ben also checked the pie I was having for contents for an allergy I have.

Really disappointed tonight. No fish and chips ( and it's Friday) Veggie burger replacement was very poor. Would have preferred chunky chips but fries were the only option.

Went with family and grandchildren food was excellent had carvery and burgers food was fresh and delicious Julie waitress helper was very friendly and helpful could not do enough for us which we really appreciated would definitely come back 👍

We decided to try the Fly Line and good grief the carvery I decided to have was dire! The carrots had been there so long I couldn't chew them, they were hard as rock on the outside. The yorkshire pudding was like trying to chew an old boot! The stuffing outer browned bit was as hard as nails! My guess is it had been there since lunchtime and was certainly not fresh. My other half's steak was good but the chips were dry and onion rings rock hard. Not one of the staff asked if our food was OK. We definitely won't be going back.

GUTTED! The owner offered me a trip to the bando if I gave man a good word in with the local plugs.. Lab in the back goes BRAZY! Lovely owner, thank you for hooking me up with some of that local mongolian molly! Afterwards he hit me from the back while I dropped A 20 bomb on Rebirth Island! Awesome! Terrible Prices though. I recommend getting the BUNGUS sandwich! Yummy!

Yet again Reece was an absolute legend. Mark on the carvery even did my little doggie a plate of meats…. Fantastic! She was very grateful. Carvery was great (stuffed) Yorkshire were a tad chewy but the flavour was there. My parents love this place now and I understand why. Never hesitate to come here for food or bevvies. Give Reece and Mark a pay rise!!!

Visited Saturday and it was great, team couldn’t do enough for our family Speed of service was great staff friendly Carvery was amazing, my partner had mix grill and it was great

Had a wonderful waitress called Julie who went above and beyond helpful. We ordered the Carvery and I took my first lot back as I couldn't cut the Yorkshire pudding as it was so rubbery and the potatoes were solid. Julie sorted out a new dinner for me and brought it to the table with a smile and lovely attitude, unfortunately it was just slightly better than before but I managed to eat it. Such a shame but we won't be going back as once was enough.

The steak was raw and 75% fat and manager said grill has been turned off so he wouldn't replace. Would've had to choose something else. Completely ruined meal.

Today was our first time coming to the fly line in garforth and we will definitely be coming again. Julie was amazing , she made us feel right at home and was fab with our 3 children. The food was lovely and the passionfruit refresher was refreshing.

Do not make the mistake of standing at an empty bar. If you don't join the que at the designated till you will be ignored. Do not dare to say I was here first or you will be told you are not in the que. Do not try to enter the que in the appropriate place or you will be austrasised for not initially forming a que in the correct place when you arrived. Service is slow, staff are rude and waiting whilst the only staff member allowed to serve disappears for 5 minutes to change a barrel is unacceptable. Try the miners instead, thier queing policy is much more relaxed.

We took a party of 16 sixth form students with additional needs to the Fly Line as an end of term leaving lunch before they go off to colleges in September. We would like to thank the very patient staff for their time and kindness - Brett on the bar taking our order (he deserves a sainthood!), Julie our lovely waitress, and chef, Mark, for the delicious food. Our students loved their celebration lunch and the Fly Line should be proud of their wonderful, caring staff for delivering such excellent service.

Only popped in for a Cider with my Grndtr, so was quiet. Lady that came to our table (to enq’ if we were eating) was so helpful, passed on all relevant info’ like family/run business, Carvery every day. Told her we didn’t have time.. She was lovely Monday 5pm, I don’t expect atmosphere. but i will be back to try Carvery (b’cos of the lady serving). Young lad behind the bar didn’t seem to know what a ‘Stout’ was?

A very quiet week day afternoon. Dreary music in the background. Service was good as was the food despite missing a couple of ingredients off the Prawn Cocktail. The Gammon main course was flavourful and satisfying.

Julie was attentive, helpful and was extremely welcoming with a very friendly face. She was great when at our table to clear plates and bring cutlery at the start of our meal! Brilliant staff that can be in short supply. Gent at the bar completed his job and nothing more. A smile would be been nice when ordering but nothing unwelcoming.
