Flutes & Tails in Edinburgh, City of

This place is shut now , taken over by Edinburgh gin or fever tonic !

We cued for about 20 minutes, people in the cue just walking in and sitting down and staff didn't stop them, we had to wait 10 minutes to get served. We waited for 10 minutes for our food which was lukewarm. I know it's a busy place but they need to have someone at front of house to keep it more organized.

Our food was only just warm and the portion size a disgrace. Don't come here, save your money!

Lovely as always, this is our must go to place whenever we travel through edinburgh airport, can be very busy though but as long as u have plenty time its ideal

We went here as a little treat before our flight. We waited for a good 5 minutes before the girl serving even acknowledged us then she spoke to her colleague and pointed at us saying we needed served. She did not have a friendly demeanour about her at all, and it wasn’t even busy!! The girl who served us was nice enough. Considering the prices I would have expected a much better, friendly service. We heard this other girl speaking quite abruptly to another woman. it costs nothing to smile 😊 Service definitely let it down

Ordered two glasses of champagne and my wife accidentally knocked over her glass as I was giving her an anniversary gift. The waitress come over without saying a work and once she had cleaned up proceeded to ignore us without offering my wife a new drink. I then asked if she would be bringing a new drink over and she asked if I would like to purchase a new one. I was slightly shocked as this was certainly a first for me. My wife explained that this was a restaurant and that when an accident happens it is customary that a new drink is served. The waitress eventually provided another glass free of charge but made it obvious she was extremely put out. Shocking service and I would give this place a miss.

Great choice of fizz to suit all budgets. A lovely selection of food too. If it is busy there can often be a wait as there is not always enough staff on.

Overpriced fizzy plodding . Pretentious clientele. Go to Weatherspoons.

Main attraction is the seating which is the most comfortable in the main departure area. The bar is nothing special, quite expensive, a reasonable range of wines and service on the edge of abrupt. Glasses are large only (175ml), so beware.

Slick and pleasant service. Lovely salmon.

The staff were really great. Good sense of humour and good chat. Swift and efficient. Really nice to my teenage daughter.

My friends and I had a lovely breakfast here before our flight. The staff were great.

The service we received was lack lustre to say the least! Staff were surly and never smiled once!! Infact i personally apologised for the service to fellow visitors. This is not what i expect visitors either arriving or departing to receive. Come guys SMILES ARE FREE!!

Pleasurable experience. So much better than the a usual airport eateries. Shame that Edinburgh airport is such a shambles however!

Rude staff, poor drink selection, awful food. If you can find a redeeming quality then you probably work here.

This place looks too upscale for a humble backpacker like me, but the rice of tea tends to be the same wherever you go. At this lace I get fine crockery and a free piece of tablet, the Scottish form of fudge. That was lunch. So, if you're passing through Edinburgh airport this is as good a lace as any to stop and drink tea. The smoked salmon and champagne look great but they are above my pay grade and I'm happy with green tea.
