My partner and I have come several times over the three years that we have been in Cornwall for. Every time we come, we are met with friendly faces and FANTASTIC food. Flourish Café has NEVER left me hungry, or disappointed. I always used to have the chicken and avocado bagel followed by a oat flat white and peanut butter banana bread, but recently I've changed to a quiche with salad. When I say salad, you may be thinking of a small leafy salad that leaves you imagining a rabbit... Not here! The salad is fantastic, pasta, potatoes, quinoa, rice, broccoli; what more could you want!? And the quiche!!! Delicious. My partner ALWAYS has the smoked salmon and creme cheese, and again, is always truly enamored by the taste! We will always come here!

First time visiting Flourish. We had plans to go elsewhere but they were closed…glad they were because we found Flourish 🤩 Quaint little cafe, lovely staff, couldn’t believe how cheap the food was! I had avocado on 2 sourdough topped with 2 poached eggs which came to £7! I’ve paid over £11+ for this at other places 👏🏻 the bread was so delicious and the avocado was super fresh. My friend had a halloumi & avocado May bagel which I think was £5.50! Highly recommend Flourish and I will be back!

I'm ashamed to say Flourish is a new discovery for me despite working in Truro for a number of years. It's tucked away down an alley way like some magical little eatery in a Harry Potter film. Flourish café is very popular with locals and is regularly used by office personnel for takeaway and cosy and interesting for lunch with friends. The decor and there are books available to read. The food is geared towards healthy and unique, as well as catering for allergies. You can get delicious cake that is both gluten and dairy free. There are vegan options available. Salads, quiches, choice of bread, generous portions, reasonable price - what could be better? And, it’s DOG FRIENDLY! The staff are charming. There’s more seating upstairs. You order food as you enter, pay, find a table and chat while fresh wholesome food is brought to you. Highly recommend it.

After a stressful week of work and not particularly looking forward to another day of the usual grind, I decided to visit Flourish for a morning coffee and bite to eat. It made my week. Upon entering I was greeted with the nicest of smiles and the warmest of welcomes. It feels like stepping inside a dear family members kitchen where your mind and body instantly relax and feel at home in comfort. After placing my order, I went to sit upstairs and this is where I feel I had truly escaped. An enchanted Garden, a hidden balcony, a special secret space only for those lucky enough to discover it. Sweet toned, Melodious sounds play in the background transporting you to a different world where the creative and artistic mind inside starts to come alive. Here, your soul feels at peace, your heart feels happy and your mind relaxed as you sip on a perfectly made flat white. There are no troubles here, only daydreams, ideas and endless possibilities to explore as the caffeine slowly runs through the body providing that much needed wake up. Feeling relaxed, I look around me and feel the energy of the pot plants and greenery, they add life, colour and vigour to a cosy indoor garden tearoom. My Breakfast then arrived, presented elegantly on the plate and served with a smile. Perfectly poached eggs and ripe avocado on some freshly baked farmhouse bread. Breakfast’s do not get much better. As I sat there finishing my meal, I had realised that I was now a different person to when I had entered some 20 minutes ago. My mind was at ease, my shoulders relaxed, my heart and stomach happy. I was flourishing, just like everything around me inside this little piece of Eden. Thankyou for making my week. You are more than a Cafe’. You are a happy place, a place of escapism and wonder where troubles disappear and everything in the world is ok again.

Delicious cakes, and good sandwiches. However, coffee was not great, they could do with better quality beans. Their kitchen and toilet needs to kept cleaner and tidier. I visited them twice and both occasions made me feel uneasy about cleanliness. I hope they improve this as their food is good and prices are reasonable.

We happened across Flourish when looking for somewhere to have breakfast that wasn't a chain coffeeshop. Tucked away up a side street it is quite small but packs a punch. We shared a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel that was delicious, the bread soft and salmon fresh. We also shared a slice of blueberry and passion fruit cake that I cannot recommend enough, one slice was not enough! Reasonably priced with friendly prompt service, definitely worth a visit if in Truro or close by.

Brilliant! Last week a friend arrived at my house - he'd picked up quiche and salad from 'Flourish'. It was unbelievably tasty (I'm not much of an eater) The next day I popped in and bought a takeway for myself. - the generous portion provided me with lunch and my evening meal. I'm now returning to get one to take to a friend. As you can tell, I'm a new fan!

Same with the sausage sandwich. Just bread, butter and sausages. Sorry but I like my 'artisan' coffee house to make a little effort, throw some poppy seeds around or something. My wife had the veggie breakfast which consisted of no fake meat, home made baked beans, eggs, halloumi & toast, the smoothies were also very nice and I've never seen my little ones eat so much, ham and cheese toastie gone and a homemade sausage roll, for myself a chicken, bacon and avocado toasty again delicious. This is a nice little cafe situated in the centre of Truro. The food is lovely however I have visited the cafe on at least 3 occasions now and each time the woman who runs the cafe seems to ware the same dirty apron. The apron needs to be thrown away. It gives of an impression that the place is dirty. It does not do any good for the reputation of the cafe. Please wear a clean apron each day. Sorry about this but i think it will put customers off from coming back.

This is one of Truro's best kept secrets in terms of cafes. Run by Sassy and her mother Pip, it is a home from home with amazing food and drinks. They have a varied menu including breakfast favourites, healthy, nourishing lunches and wicked cakes that are hard to resist. It is a great meeting place and because it it was a bank the old vault at the back makes a great place to sit, drink coffee and play the many board games on offer. I stumbled on this nook while looking for another cafe and I'm glad I did. I chose the Poached Eggs, Bacon, Avocado and Halloumi on Sourdough lunch but there were many other opinions and the house will alter things to meet your needs. I have to say it was delicious. They also offer Artisan Coffee and that was the best I've tasted in Cornwall so far. I heard many positive comments about the cakes they serve from other delighted patrons while I was there. I like to support independent cafes but certainly will never go here again. Most unwelcoming. In fact no welcome at all. No hello. Please or thank you. I intended having tea and cake but after being greeted(or should I say receiving no greeting when I went to the counter)I decided on just the tea. The milk came in a shot glass so it had to be slopped in, not poured and it spilt on my trousers. I asked twice to the 2 young ladies in the kitchen,as no one now front of house, for a napkin or where the toilet was, but was completely ignored. They seemed to be watching something on a screen in the kitchen and singing along so couldn't hear me. I sat for a couple of minutes then saw the dirt, so didn't even bother to drink the tea. There was an area for sauces etc which had definitely not been wiped down for a couple of days and under the refrigerated counter were dark stains at either end. I know for a fact that it takes condensation more than 1 day to turn to a brown stain, so when was the floor last given as good wash? It certainly needed a sweep. There are many cafes and coffee shops in Truro. Try any of these.

As a local, I enjoy visiting new eatery's and sampling their produce. There is nothing more satisfying than finding a new establishment and sharing the experience with friends and colleagues. But, it is very disappointing when I visit one and cannot write a good review. Today is an example of that. I visited Flourish today with a friend and whilst waiting for her to arrive I ordered myself a tea and a toasted cheese and spring onion sandwich. I have no complaints regarding the service, the lady who served me was lovely. The price for my pot of tea and toasted sandwich was £6, an average price for homemade, quality ingredients. However, whilst my tea was perfectly fine, the sandwich was not, it was so small it did not even cover half of a tea plate ( I have a photo in case anyone would like to disagree). In my view this was not worth £4 of anyone's money. I queried with the staff and they kindly refunded my money, but it meant I didn't eat. What a huge disappointment. I hope they take on board today, but sadly I left with the feeling they thought I was a 'greedy' customer who expected too much.

Poor service and virtually no vegan/vegetarian options. Asked for a veggie burger which was on the menu, they didn't have any. Asked what else was vegan, they didn't know. Service was very slow and all front of house seemed uninterested and more keen to huddle round the bar chatting. One waitress was particularly rude, I wouldn't go there again and wouldn't recommend. Lots of much friendlier places in Falmouth.
