Super cute small cafe run by husband and wife. Food and coffee was delicious and they were very accommodating to dietary needs such as gluten free options!

Great ice cream and customer service. We have two small children who wouldn’t have managed a full ice cream, was kind enough to spilt the ice cream across two cones and only charge us for one ice cream.

Popped in for an Ice Cream and Coffee. Friendly staff and great coffee and ice cream. Worth a visit. They even do classic coke and lemonade floats!

Flossy's absolutely hit the spot with a honeycomb and caramel ice cream after a long walk to Bakewell. Delicious ice cream and a generous serving. Best post-hike ice cream ever!

Called in on spec, Bakewell was very busy (market day). Very friendly proprietor. Delicious pastie, excellent soup, lovely pork and blue cheese sausage roll. Well worth a visit.

Visiting for a few hours to see family for Christmas, we parked up and I know how important it is to get the boyfriend coffee fast, we saw flossys and thought they would have something worth it's money, he got a salted caramel latte and was a very happy chap, I saw the milkshakes and wondered if there was a lacto free option and was excited when they could, it's been a long while, it was lovely and the 2 ladies in the shop were lovely. If we ever come again we will make sure this is stop number one. The cakes looked delicious too.

Would just like to say how lovely this place is. I always like to support independent businesses. The ladies were so accommodating. Daughter requested oat milk hot chocolate, they even had vegan chocolate drops to make it. Hubby's chai latte the best we have ever had and the coffee i had was just what was needed. Wish we had found it earlier in the day to eat as well. Food looked lovely. Thank you for being so welcoming on what was an exceeding manic Sunday afternoon.

We go here for beautiful vegan sausage roll with chutney and salad. The woman there is so helpful and a credit to the shop.(I don’t know if she owns it or works there) either way she goes above and beyond. Being able to sit in or out and not feeling rushed was lovely. This review may be done months after the visit but I still recall it and that must mean something….. I will be back when I’m next in bakewell.

I come to Flossy's whenever the opportunity presents, and often make a detour of quite some distance just to visit! I don't know what to say other than the milkshakes, the sausage rolls (both vegan and non vegan), the cakes and the chai latte here are absolutely AMAZING! There's nowhere else that even comes close. It's a really small shop at ground floor level, so I'm kind of reluctant to tell people how good it is because I want there to be room for me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 But I kind of feel like this place doesn't get the kudos it so richly deserves. The owner is really lovely too and this is just such a thoroughly enjoyable place to come. You would do much worse than to come here - especially if you love ice cream, milkshakes, sausage rolls or cakes!

Visited to find a Bakewell tart but the lovely lady recommended the pudding which she offered to warm and gave us cream. We also had a delicious goats cheese and beetroot ‘sausage’ roll which she warmed and gave us a little pot of chutney. The lady was soooo friendly and made the delicious treats even more enjoyable. I’d highly recommend a visit here and will definitely return if in the area. Dog friendly too which is always a bonus.

....proprietor anywhere. A tiny place, selling sandwhiches and much much more. I had a hot sandwich which the lovely lady very kindly customised for me and I also had a bakewell pudding which she heated for me 'as they're nicer warm'. Tiny, but wheelchair accessible. Lots of veggie options, a staggering amount of variety given how small the place is and as I said - the nicest person in charge anywhere. Faultless. Absolutely faultless.

Amaaaazing !!! Extremely friendly staff (service with a smile) menu had a lot of variety so something for everyone. Our panini’s were full of flavour and reasonably priced. Large selection of soft drinks, coffee’s, hot chocolates and milkshakes with lots of sweet treats on display to purchase. If you’re looking for a bite to eat at lunch. This is the perfect place !

We stopped for a quick coffee to break up our shopping trip. The cafe was small but packed with sweet treats on display. I believe there were other things on the menu but that’s not what we were there for . The cakes looked delicious and I decided to try a Bakewell pudding.. (something new to me but very tasty). The sun was out so we sat outside and had a lovely chat with the lady who is running the cafe. Apparently there is a place upstairs to sit in that is dog friendly if the weather isn’t quite so accommodating . We enjoyed our trip and we will be back . Many thanks.

Another place recommended to us by the Tasty Cakery Derbyshire, who supply them with gluten-free cakes. A very helpful staff member explained all the cakes that were on offer (such a vast choice), including a variety of gluten-free ones. My husband had a large iced gluten-free Bakewell Tart, which he enjoyed so much that we returned the following day to buy another to take home with us. On the second day there was even more choice, so he had a Bakewell Tart topped with almonds instead. There was one small outside table where we sat the first time we went, but there are lots of seats by the river within a couple of minutes' walk where we enjoyed our tea on the second day.

This was our second visit to Butter Fingers and both times have been brilliant! We were lucky to get a table as it is very popular. On our last visit they had sold out of their raspberry and white chocolate cake so I was delighted to see they had some on this visit. I certainly wasn’t disappointed! The cake was deliciously fresh and tasty and I had a Nutella milkshake too which was equally tasty. My partner had a pumpkin spice latte and a kinder blondie which he was very happy with too. We will be back! 😊

Whenever I come to the peak district to visit my Dad, a trip to the Barley Mow is an absolute necessity. This unique and marvellous place has more personality and warmth than any pub I know. Food is great, beer is well kept, cider selection is off the hook. The decoration and posters on the walls sing both of the histories the Barley Mow preserves and of the communities it so ably serves. Most highly recommended.

Just had their cod and haddock with chips...probably the best fish and chips I have EVER had. Genuinely, absolutely top notch. Service was outstanding too. The lad who served me was so generous with my daughter who came in with me. Just brilliant....
