I ordered Amberatti and a florios pizza the food was a delight the staff so friendly and the cost very reasonable. Recommend this restaurant for anybody. Noticed that children were well catered for.

A hotspot for locals and any celebrations. Very kid friendly and the garlic bread pizza is amazing.

When Nico met Nico . Lovely restaurant and great food, far better than the typical " chain restaurants " . You know its going to be good food when the kitchen is an open kitchen. Well priced too.

We had dinner here last night (Feb 16th) and we all really enjoyed our meals. All 3 of us had pizza and they were all delicious- proper, handmade, crispy and piping hot. Service was efficient and friendly. It was very busy, which I'm glad about as they deserve the business. It's lovely to support a family run, independent, small business and we will definitely return next time we're up. Highly recommended

Amazing food and amazing staff great place to eat

Lots of choice on the menu with a couple of specials. We had a mixture of pizza and pasta dishes, all of which were high quality. Service was quick and attentive but not in your face. A great little restaurant, really good value.

Firstly you need to book as this restaurant is very busy which is not surprising as the food is wonderful. Lobster ravioli and sbirraglia were fabulous, but the pizzas looked fantastic, and you need to bring a very large appetite for the calzone. Lovely staff, rapid service, great menu choices. It's just a great place to eat in Malton.

31 of December a very busy night for any restaurant. But wow did this restaurant surpassed its self fantastic service the food was amazing some of our party only wanted small mains this was not a problem. Unlike some restaurant you go to . If your in malton or just passing stop and eat here

Florios has an excellent menu catering for all tastes. The restaurant owner and staff have a great knowledge of dietary problems and provide supportive advice to their customers. Florios has become one of our favourite restaurants but be aware it is very popular and you are well advised to reserve your table to avoid disappointment. Merry Christmas to you all!

Called here with family, usual Italian fare, portions are huge, the lasagne was a bit claggy but family memkbers reported there pizzas excellent. The Minestrone soup was different and came in a bowl like we keep fruit in at home

Florio's has been amazing for years and did not disappoint. Great food and lively atmosphere. The biggest problem is how difficult it is to get a booking due to how busy they are!

Always a family favourite, Florios consistently delivers every time we visit. This week was once again a delicious experience. The ambience, efficiency, knowledge, variety and extra effort made to ensure our dining experience was a masterclass and all for a very reasonable cost. The extensive Gluten free options and options offered to consider allergies are consistently improving. Florios obviously listen to their customers and communicate well within their team. This is a wonderful casual atmospheric destination and must not be missed when visiting Malton.. The food capital of Yorkshire starts here! We will be back soon.

We visited as a walk in on a Tuesday evening in October, the restaurant was pretty much full, however they were able to accommodate us (family of 4). Friendly and efficient service. Food was very good - everything was made freshly, you could see straight into the kitchen. Pizza were especially good, traditional thin crispy base, decent amount of toppings and not at all greasy. We also had mushroom risotto which was plentiful and satisfying…and a filled ravioli from the specials board which was made from really nice saffron pasta with a sage butter sauce (I could have eaten double what was served). A good alternative option to the more traditional Yorkshire fayre when in Malton

Well established and very popular restaurant. Service was quick and friendly. Menu contains all the Italian favourites - we chose pasta which was good and well priced.

absolutely amazing food with absolutely fabulous service. despite the restaurant being very busy, they still found time to squeeze me in for a table of 1. i ordered a medium rare ribeye which was cooked to perfection and topped off by a beautiful homemade tiramisu. excellent atmosphere with very friendly and helpful staff. would recommend.

Visited Florio’s for an anniversary meal, staff were friendly and polite. The restaurant was packed which was a little surprising for a Wednesday evening. The food arrived quickly. My husband had the calzone, really authentic, I had the misto mediterraneo (mixed pasta with roasted vegetables)....

We were visiting Malton and after looking at the reviews we were lucky enough to be able to book a table. The food was lovely. We both had a pasta dish and they were delicious. The restaurant was very busy but the service was excellent. I would definitely visit again.

Quick pasta supper prior to a movie at The Palace. The lasagna and Pizza we had were just super..... freshly made, served by friendly staff in a full restaurant at 6 in the evening. The chocolate souffle was amazing and the affogato ideal to finish. Thank you.

It had been a while since I had eaten here (20+years) and it was just as good as it was back then. Everyone loved the food and we did have a couple of bottles of wine. Just love the place.

If you enjoy good Italian food , DO NOT EAT HERE ! This place is a sorry excuse for an Italian restaurant . It was a very disappointing experience & we only booked this place due to the good reviews on the website . (I would imagine they cannot be genuine reviews) . We booked a table for 8 & ordered 4 pizzas , which were ok , 2 pasta dishes & 2 meat dishes , the meat dishes were very mediocre , but the 2 ravioli dishes were absolutely disgusting . When the dish was put down in front of me , the sauce , (which was supposed to be porchini mushroom , cream & Sardinian sausage ,) looked like it was packet soup mix , definitely no sign of cream or mushrooms , the sausage was like mini hotdog slices & the ravioli filling tasted like nothing on earth , a disgusting , strange flavour . I am do not a professional chef , but i am a good cook & have made far better pasta sauces than this . I find it hard to believe how this place is still trading . We did complain , but the owner refused to come & speak to us . That about sums this place up I’m afraid . We will not be back & we definitely don’t recommend .

The most awful pasta I’ve ever had. Overcooked, tasteless sauce - was meant to be porcini and fresh cream. No rich mushroom flavour - tasted like flour and water. Staff didn’t ask how your meal was and so when we did manage to catch someone...

Mediocre food. There are many better places to eat in the area. Price was very reasonable, though.

Brilliant atmosphere lovely staff and lovely food

The restaurant was full when I visited which is always a good sign. I had pizza which was good but thought there could be slightly more topping. The seating was uncomfortable. Wooden seats were not suitable for sitting for a long period.

I turned up as a solo walk-in on a busy evening when the restaurant was almost fully booked. Despite that, they found a slot for me and I had an excellent meal. The food was perfect and the service friendly and exceptional.

Delicious pizza! The fact they do takeaway too is a bonus. Wine is served in a litre bottle- what’s not to like! Fab selection of gelato & ice cream too 🎉

Just got home from Florios. Had Pollo Alfredo. Completely, totally and 100% delicious. Difficult to fault this restaurant so we must keep going until we can.

A special place. Florios is always full, always busy but you still receive a great welcome and amazing service. The food is fantastic (both eating in and take away), with a varied menu and specials (yet I always order the same!). We often go with our 1-year-old child who is also so well looked after. He celebrated his 1st birthday there and Florios is our go to place for ANY occasion! Grazie di cuore.

We regularly eat at Florio’s but haven’t ever left a review. We did a walk-in last night and were seated within 5 minutes even though it was very busy, but generally booking is a good idea. The house red Montepulciano d’Abbruzo is good value at £20 for a whole litre, and our food arrived in a timely manner. The Diavalo pizza was well cooked and presented, the base being nice and crisp, and the egg runny but cooked - who likes snotty eggs anyway 🤷🏻‍♂️. The fillet steak was exceptional. Medium rare with nice caramelisation and plenty of flavour, lovely sautéed potatoes with herbs and fried onions, and my personal favourite, boscaiola sauce with porcini mushrooms, garlic & cream . Florios’s staff always make everyone welcome, and do their very best to make the experience a pleasant one. In a town that is supposedly the food capital of Yorkshire, there are actually only a handful of restaurants worth bothering with, and Florios is one of them.

Had good meals here in the past, however each time we visited it just was on the slide. Service was surly and unfriendly, our drinks were over 10 minutes coming after ordering, and we were in early and not many diners in at the time....

Been to Florios multiple times and I cannot stress this enough…. It is INCREDIBLE! Slowly working my way through the menu and everything has been so delicious! Always very busy and rightly so because the food is amazing! When you’re sat inside you’d have thought...

Lively and cheerful Italian restaurant, excellent seafood linguine, seafood risotto and grill mains, brilliant service. Will definitely return if in the area.

Starter advertised as chicken breast, came as chicken pieces. Steak a little over cooked. Waiting staff asking us for meals were very quick to both take our orders and serve food, but very slow to take plates. No notification of the fact that we could (or perhaps should?)pay at the bar. Sat after dessert for 15 mins only to go and pay straight away at the bar.

Really lovely place to go for some dinner. It's small but cosy the staff are very very nice. The food has always been excellent. Our kids love it here. The early bird menu is great for the kids mid week. We would go back again and again. They also do gluten free pizza which is just lovely.

Booked a table for 8 people. We all enjoyed 2 courses of the food, except one who had beef stroganoff, it was too tough and chunky for her. The staff are lovely, and the service is great.

2.5/5 Was staying in Malton over the weekend and decided to have some pasta for dinner. It was okay. It was barely seasoned and tasted like something I’d cook for myself at home when I just want something quickly thrown together. Meatballs had a very weird Play-doh texture and were overdone with rosemary (or basil) as if the meat taste was being masked for whatever reason. Also ordered bruschetta with pate for starters. I’ve never seen pate served with a thick layer of solid frozen fat on top that you have to take off to get to pate. The pot was so huge as well, felt like a waste, because was too much for 1 person. Haven’t tried pizza, but I wouldn’t recommend coming here for pasta dishes.

Just been to Florios. better than any Italian restaurant in York, and yes I’ve been to them all. If you want the best food and atmosphere jump on the train make a night of it and go to Florios in malton 👍🏻

Really nice little Italian restaurant tucked into the lovely town of Malton. Food was very very good, the pasta dishes in particular were a big highlight. The Al'arrabiatta and Amrtriciana had really nice taste with the former having a good spice level as it should. The latter is preferred with Rigatoni but was still very nice. Portion sizes are very sizeable and there is a good variety of pasta, pizza and other foods on the menu. The pizza I must say was not the best I have had, had the Pompei with salami and pepperoni which was a good flavour but there was too much cheese on it for a real quality Italian pizza unfortunately we really took away from it. I've never known an Italian pizza to be stringy. Service was polite and quick and the atmosphere was lovely and being able to watch the food being cooked is really lovely also. Seating is perhaps a bit tight. On the whole a real nice restaurant and would definitely go back.

This is a very nice tucked away Italian find. I must say I haven't had a good Italian for a while and this place was nice. We rang beforehand to book a table, got in just for 5:15pm. We didn't realise until we got in that this was the start time for the Pizza and Pasta Happy Hour. (Sunday- Thursday) This was great for us and they had just what we wanted on the menu. We wanted to have pasta and pizza so we ordered two pasta meals and one pizza and it was lovely. The pasta was fine for me but just a tad spicer that what I thought it would be. The pizza too had too much cheese for my liking but was still gorgeous and homemade. Staff were kind, polite and accomodating.

Lovely authentic Italian food, with plenty of options to choose from, all good value for money. They also have a 'happy hour' menu on Sunday-Thursday which has a good selection of excellent value dishes.
