Florida Fried Chicken in Manchester

Avoid at all costs! Extremely poor food quality. Better to go hungry than eat from these..not worth a penny. Uncooked burger, old chips from weeks ago. This will be reported to the environmental health department.

Food is always great spicy burger, spicy wings or strips, even the spicy dipped pieces of chicken are a must try BUT the staff need to learn how to smile it goes along way 😀

Do not eat here seriously, I had severe food poisoning from the wings, was ill and throwing up for two days.

The chicken fillet was quite dry and they charge for every little thing like peri salt, sauce and cheese which is quite annoying. Much better options in Manchester

I ordered a Chicken Sandwich. Let me tell you, it was nasty! No taste at all whatsoever. Price didn’t bother me at all, but it had no flavour. I asked for spicy burger and i got it. The chicken was very dry and chewy they dont even add mayonnaise on the sandwich and that makes it even worse. The chilli sauce on the burger lacks flavour. It was a disgusting meal tbh. Never again

Chicken wasn't covered in flour properly there were parts where it was just plain chicken. Wanted 50p for ketchup? You should add some flavour in the flour so we don't have to ask for sauce.

Ordered chicken sandwich meal. Chips were dead, needed to be cooked a bit more. Chicken fillet spicy burger was tangy a bit spicy. Nicer places in manchester such as miamis, new york, 0161 etc. 1st and last time here. Should have listened to my friends about thisFloridas location.

The best spicy chicken burger in Manchester! The food is always spot on and the food is always served with a big smile. The spicy wings deserve a special mention too. Highly recommend.

I ordered 5 wings and a wrap meal with a dip. wrap was chewy & i only got 4 wings in the box and the dip was missing.

Eat from here alot. Ordered 15 piece bucket on Uber Eats stating mainly breast pieces and not one single breast. Chicken tasted off and I've literally ate from here a week ago and was fine then.

Small chicken shop but great food. Though they charge for sauces which is ridiculous regardless how much you spend with them. Food is fresh and fairly quick. Parking is available outside on double yellow or in Tesco station car park 20ft away.

This place used to be very popular and the food standard was very high. Recently, i ordered a spicy chicken burger meal and the burger firstly was so cold and the chicken inside the burger was very fat and dry. It left me with a very bad stomach pain all night. Don’t recommend to anyone because you will end up with bad experience along with waiting for your food for long time.

Lovely chicken burgers and stuff. Great value for money. Probably my favourite fried chicken place it the area although not quite Miami’s.

Stay Away from here my burgers were hard and so was the buns... just ripping people off with stale food which is kept under the warmer for hours. I had stomach pains all night and so did my daughter. Will never return... p.s used to love this place

Best fried spicy chicken burger in the north west but recently have made their fillets thinner in comparison to the other 2 branches, their mayonnaise has changed from the green top wernsing to blue which is bitter and I preferred it when it was the green top, other than that beautiful chicken

I am a regular visitor at Floridas and have been for years! The front customer service man surely recognises me. On this occassion 17/12/2022 I made quiet a large order with 2 people ahead of my order. After placing my order further customers entered the premises making smaller orders/medium sized. ALL THESE CUSTOMERS AFTER ME WERE SERVED BEFORE ME! I bit my lip to not make a fuss as the front man advised my order is next 3-4 times yet, MORE customers (least 10-15) people were served who all came after me! They all ordered spicy burgers, they all ordered chips, spicy wings and drinks! I am totally confused as to why my order took 25 minutes when usually Floridas is a 10/15 mins in and out service! The front man could not explain why my order took 35-40 minutes for 3 burger meals, 1 solo burger and 5 wings. Definately will be weighing up my options coming back here as this was my first worst off-putting experience especially when your a regular at least once a month for 2-3 years! I think if I am to visit again I will be asking the front man what took so long why was I purposely blanked when chicken fillets, wings and chips all appeared at the ready!

The food of Florida. The fried chicken was amazing and the service was also good but could be better and the atmosphere was a very bad. There was just a blue, blue and white wall and a very cramped room where you could just order and took long time to get the order.

I would fly to Manchester from Pakistan just for their food. God I miss their spicy burger and chicken. 😢

These guys never know the meaning of Crispy fried chicken.This just chicken not crispy chicken. Look at the photos it looks like boiled chicken with no proper coating and where is it ‘’Crispy’’ ????? I specifically asked to give well coated ones . 🤦🏻‍♂️. Please learn from KFC,Newyork FC and Philadelphia FC even Ohio is a way better one in curry mile. Only reason people buy here is it’s close to NHS and university. Worst fried chicken. Zero consistency

The food is well priced, quality is really good. Its like McDonald's burgers on steroids. All the burgers are big and very filling. My kids love it as it tastes just like McDonald's but 4 times the size.

When you're working and need food, it's a reliable place to eat. Chicken Sandwich (spicy) is really good, exceptionally well. People are OK. Sometimes, it can be busy, so be prepared to spend your entire break here. No sitting area.

Personally I go for the fried chicken here, it’s the best imo. Fresh, juicy and has a nice taste.

Visited today with family, ordered 5 burgers, 1. They forcing customers to pay only cash. 2. Low quality oil they using, 3. Chicken not cooked properly, 4. Smell coming from chicken

If I wanted my food to be handed to me without a box I would have gone elsewhere. If am paying for food it needs to come in a box or an appropriate packaging. Am not buying food thats been wrapped in a piece of laminated foil. I would rather pay that extra 0.03p for a cardboard box at least I can travel home and enjoy it without it rolling around the car making a mess. Sort it out, prices are much higher than your store in oldham but still comes with a box. Your not gourmet so please just stick to chicken burgers and chips.

My go to takeout for a while now. I usually get the #12 spicy. Chicken pieces are perfect. Wings are perfect. Burgers are perfect. These guys have nailed it. Good staff. Fast service.

Tried the spicy wings to see what all the hype was about. They were ok, spicier than your average KFC wing but they packed no crunch and kinda oily.

Visited Florida’s a after a very long time and I believe it has gone downhill from when i used to eat here 7 8 years ago. The burger was dry with minimal sauce and salad. When asked for additional sauces they charged me for them!

Quality of the food has gone downwards,the chicken was not coated properly it was like watery boiled chicken. Even the chicken doesn’t taste fresh nowadays.☹️ Not crunchy or crispy anymore

This place has seriously gone downhill. I came here after years when visiting family near by. Its a shame because I used to live near Florida’s and would get burgers from here all the time. Not sure if it’s under new management now but the quality of the burgers has seriously gone downhill. It was probably one of the driest burgers i’ve had. Over charging and the quality is not the same. They simply cannot keep up with better chicken shops all over Manchester now.

I ordered 3 double chicken sandwich meals it cost £24 i asked the guy for 2 tubs of chill sauce and he said £ 50 extra ok i only had my card i asked if i can pay with my card and he said £5 charge as i didn't have change on me theres was a kind hearted gentleman who offered to pay for it which i declined i appreciated the fact he offered to pay just shows there are people out there who care as of the guy behind the till when he seen this he tried to fake and pretend and say dont worry i give you sauces for free the point im trying to make is that i found it disgusting and very selfish for makeing drama out of it and being dishonest he put me off so much that i ended up giving the 3 chicken sandwitch meals to homeless people on the way never again!!!!!

Delightful tasty food with a manageable price tag

Came here after years & ordered a chicken sandwich meal. Firstly you have to pay for spicy with cheese (£1) & you have to pay for chilli & Mayo which come separately at £0.90 each. The Mayo is so thick & disgusting & the chilli sauce is the sauce they dip the fillet in. Not one you particularly want with your chips. I was looking forward to eating this after my 12 week pregnancy scan as a little treat & it was the most driest, chewy & flavourless burger I’ve ever had. It was so packed with Mayo I felt sick. You don’t even need to buy Mayo because there’s enough for your chips from the inside of that burger. My hubby told me it was horrible last time he went too. £13.50 for 2 chicken burgers spicy with cheese & one pot of chilli & one pot of “mayo.” Never coming back.

Still the best but Constant changes have decreased the spiciness and amount of flavour in chicken (some burgers can be dry in the same order whilst others arent). Whilst prices have Increased a lot. However still the best ppace I have tried for chicken burgers, just ask for extra spice dip if you want the flavour before the changes. Also make sure to ask for extra sauce in the burger as it maybe dry. Have been going here for years, much better than miamis (which I would argue is over rated and is a 1 star place) and better than philidelphia (when the food is prepared fresh and correctly) is second to florida.

Best chicken shop I've been to in Manchester, although it doesn't look too good from the outside, the food is delicious, the prices are decent and the service is quick. The only slight complaint I have is that the chilli sauce was more of a spicy gravy so it wasn't for me.

Clean, simple, tasty chicken. Price has gone up considerably recently though which makes you question whether you actually want it when there's much better food for a few pounds more.

Heard ssooo many good things about this place that inevitably it was going to be a letdown. I bought the £5 chicken sandwich burger. As soon as I opened it, I knew it would be a letdown. The picture alone should tell you why. When you open a Miami burger its a thick 4 inch high stack of burger, hash brown, cheese and onion ring. You get none of that here. Instead, in a scene reminiscent of Falling Down, you get a flat, dry, bland, sorry looking burger. Staff were friendly enough, service was quick, but parking awkward on the busy main road. I still maintain Miami does the best burgers, although others may disagree.

For a quick munch whilst busy and on the go this place is amazing. The wings fall off the bone and their burgers are amazing. Always a winner when in Manchester and looking for a quick bite to eat.

Love the burger and wings from here, if you want a good spicy burger and wings definitely go here. The service is super fast aswell, when i went it wasn't busy but as i was waiting for my food it quickly started filling up with customers. Worth checking out.
