Florence & Amelia's in Tameside

Lovely food, been a couple of times, but the service is always a bit unfriendly. No attempt to do any more than taking order, had to ask for everything.

We booked a table at Florence and Amelia’s for Bridgefest. We invited friends along and used the evening to celebrate our daughter’s 18th with friends. There were 14 of us. From walking through the door to leaving we were very well looked after by all the staff. We ordered pizzas, platters and nachos which everyone really enjoyed. As it was Bridgefest the venue was very busy (there was another large party in) but our food was served very quick and the staff were very keen to ensure everything was right for us. Jackson was performing at 8 and he was fantastic. We thought he was only playing 1 slot, but after a short break he came on again. Before long he was taking requests and everyone was up dancing and singing. It was a fantastic atmosphere. Once Jackson had finished, the owners started a karaoke session. Once again we hadn’t been expecting this but before long everyone had been up singing. As I said earlier, we used the evening to celebrate our daughter’s 18th with our friends. She had an amazing night and as everyone in the venue mixed together to enjoy the entertainment, it felt like an 18th birthday party for my daughter. She was made to feel like it was her evening by Jackson and the venue. Throughout the evening the staff were extremely helpful, very smiley (despite it being so busy) and between them and Jackson they gave us a fabulous evening. Our friends all said how much they had enjoyed it. Following on from this we have now booked our other daughters 21st there, with Jackson to play. Thank you to Jackson and all the staff at Florence and Amelia’s for the most amazing evening.

Visited today for a toastie and coffee in the sun. Outstanding service as always. The food was of a very high quality, all the staff are friendly and polite and I have found that on every visit. Best coffee I have had in a long time.

Note to owner, visited Florence & Amelia's last week 2 times - the 1st and last time! Pre booked a table for myself and 2 friends. Arrived on time and stood at the counter expecting a "hello", "hi" or "be with you in a minute" but unfortunately nothing. Basically completely ignored by a member of your staff arranging cups and saucers on a tray preparing these for coffee. Stood a little longer, still nothing followed by a further member of staff entering via the saloon doors to simply walk past with tray in hand. After looking around considering that I may be stood in the wrong place (do I go somewhere else in this place to 'book in'?) ....nope it doesn't appear so. My 2 friends had now entered the venue, we stood a minute longer, still no acknowledgment so I politely verbalised to the member of staff re my reservation. I don't think I had even finished my sentence when I (or should I say we as the word "ladies" was used) was abruptly told they were busy and if I had a reservation it was "that table there". We duly sat at the reserved table shocked at what we had just encountered and how we had been spoken to, to only be ignored further. As a result and after 20mins, we left having still not been spoken to or acknowledged. We instead were welcomed at a different venue in Stalybridge and had a positive experience.

Absolutely gorgeous we really enjoyed it and the staff were very kind..the cafe was lovely too .didn’t wait long either and really nice table service.

Came for breakfast for my birthday with some family, had a cappuchino and the bacon,Brie and chilli jam toastie. It was absolutely gorgeous. Lovely atmosphere and lovely people. Will deffo come back here again 🫶🏻

Nice little place for a meet up with friends. Good menu choices catering for all tastes. Great coffee and plenty of other drinks, hot or cold and reasonable prices. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. A lovely little idea whereby you can buy a drink or food for someone less fortunate, spreading a little kindness!

This spot is a fantastic venue, i have been here on a number of occasions from Christmas works do, afternoon tea with my mum and afternoon tea with my friends where I proposed to them to be my bridesmaids, every time I have been it’s been made so special, comfortable and the staff are exceptional and couldn’t help enough! I absolutely love it here and I’m one hundred percent sure I will be back time and time again.

This place was amazing it was so nice to sit in and the food was delicious and the drinks were so good 🥰 and the decor in there was gorgeous and the staff where very friendly and sweet. I would recommend going there if you are in Tameside Stalybridge!!

I held my sisters baby shower here. It was fantastic the service was very good and the staff and owner were very friendly and welcoming. The food was also great we had afternoon tea for twelve with one vegan and two vegetarian and they were tasty.

This place is great for drinks. The aesthetic is pretty and charming. The food is original and varied. You'll struggle to find such quality elsewhere.

Went in the other day with friends, lovely place with friendly and helpful staff. The food was really good and came quickly even when it was busy. Highly recommend and will definitely go again!

Nicola and all the staff have created an amazing place to meet up with friends and family, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and customer service is excellent. The staff are always attentive to your needs, the menu is wide ranging from early morning breakfast options to toasties and open sourdough sandwiches at lunch , through to tasty pizzas in the evening. Regular live music events on Fridays are fantastic, when the team also offer a range of delicious cocktails. The venue caters for all ages and can be booked out for small gatherings. A must visit for anyone coming to Stalybridge. I cannot recommend highly enough. Steven B

I came here with my sister & friends for a change. We had two of the platters the mezze & the rustic. Also a bottle of the prosecco & the merlot. The prosecco is really nice compared to some shop bought ones I've tried & even my sister tried it but loved the merlot! The platters were delightful & enough to graze & pick at. We had sat down the stairs & it was a nice atmosphere not too busy at the time we'd booked. We could of stayed but they shut at 5pm. The staff were friendly & chatty 😊 & it was a nice change coming here & ideally situated. We will be back & would like to come to the Jam night with live music x thanks again

Best cafe in stalybridge, I meet my mum & nephew here every week! Foods delicious always a great portion size, staff are wonderful & super friendly! Friday nights are great too pizza and cocktails what more could want 😆 ! Mum always says she always feels at home here ❤️.

Had a wonderful Friday night at Florence and Amelia’s. Staff, food, drinks and service were all top notch. Decor finest in town too. We were unhappy with our table so management stepped up and moved us. We’d booked specifically to see Ain t miss behavin’ star Natalie Cuifo who knocked it out of the park tonight so we wanted to be right up front . I ve long lamented that I was born too late to witness the roaring 20’s, Great Gatsby, Some like it hot and other genres from that golden age. Natalie and her act Ain’t misbehavin’ has staged a revival . A vision tonight in her gold larme dress. Her beauty is only surpassed by the quality of her pitch perfect singing voice. Her interpretation of The heart will go on from titanic is joyous. Close to a dance version but Natalie totally pulled it off. Her rapt audience were mesmerised by her hypnotic dance moves as she performed. I have paid big bucks to watch acts less worthy than Natalie and the vibe was sensational . Every eye was on her and the applause were rapturous after every number. I m thinking shes a fusion of Marilyn Monroe, Edith Piaf and so many legends of the era she enlivens , but Natalie as she reminds us in the witty introductions to most of her songs is a Lancashire lass at heart. It is such a privilege to hear Ain’t miss behavin’ sing. Her celestial voice is a gift and I so rarely have the opportunity to say this but Natalie is a unique singing talent who has gone too long under the radar of celebrity. Everyone was mouthing the words to the John Legend song all of me. It’s clear she thrives on the appreciation of her growing following. If you get chance to see her take it. She’s the best in the business in my opinion. I ll be back at Florence and Amelia’s just as soon Ain’t miss behavin’ returns.

Had my 70th Birthday celebration with a few friends last Friday, and cannot thank the staff enough for their wonderful hospitality! We had pizzas and platters between us - they were super tasty and perfect for sharing! Ideal spot and definitely recommend! Thank you once again!
