Flavourtown Bakery in Hammersmith and Fulham

Fantastic celebration cakes...the red velvet was light, moist and had the tastiest frosting. Good selection of cake sizes too to suit your party size. I would recommend!

Customer services department disgraceful . Micheal specifically is very rude , passive aggressive and should not be working on the forefront for the company . Out of the 3 products I ordered only 1 arrived. As you see I paid for every service to get this sent rapidly and correctly . Micheal spoke to me and was very dismissive and it was an upsetting experience . Especially when I am a regular customer and they know me at the store. I hung up and called another advisor, only to be told by him that they have told each other on their group chat.l about me . I don’t understand what is happening these days. Everywhere seems to have shocking customer services . Bring back the 90,s. Unfortunately I won’t be visiting there anymore. Pity as they are a great bakery .

Found a bug baked in a cupcake after I had already eaten half. I didn't say anything because I was absolutelty revolted. Quite frankly the cupcakes are poorly made. For something so expensive you would think you are getting very high value. However they honestlty taste no better than a decent store bought cake. I don't recommend and won't be returning.

Our delivery never arrived and now we don’t have any cake for our son’s 4th birthday. Very bad customer service, would never use it again.

We are three women and a 10 years old girl, we got a huge slice of velvet cake and a Nutella & Oreo cupcake! Oh gosh!!!absolutely amazing!!! I also have a cappuccino,with a super foam on the top!!! Thank you for your service we will be back soon

I have been a customer of flavour town for the last 9 years. However on my last visit to the fulham store last Saturday I had a poor customer service experience. The lady serving us had a really unpleasant manner towards me and I don't think i will go back.

Lots of good experiences here, but this time ordered a whole cake, which had to be Vegan due to the flavour. Well although good when leaving, by the time it reached home a few minutes away (via a particularly careful journey) it looked like a bomb had erupted in the middle of it. The whole thing had simply fallen apart from the middle in a big heap. Utterly unusable. Not a great result for a childs birthday.... Their customer service team simply stated that it was their usual recipe, and that was the end of it. Nice cakes - but I'd struggle to recommend a place with this sort of customer service, and cakes that explode during transportation.

I ordered a Pride Ultimate Rainbowgasm Cake for £95. In summary, the buttercream was AWFUL and made all my guests feel sick as it tasted entirely of butter. Also the sponge was very DRY. The cake looked good but the colours were very DULL compared to the pictures on their website. I drove an hour each way to collect the cake from their bakery in NW10. When I wrote to FLAVOURTOWN on the same day with feedback, they told me I was wrong and that they had already had several reorders for the same cake from that day. They said the only way they would consider any gesture of goodwill was if I took a slice of cake back to their baker. I declined. This company is very arrogant in their communications and the taste of their cakes was awful. The cake does come in a lovely box and is quite unique and colourful, but I was gutted that I made my guests feel sick. Website photo versus real photo attached.

As a individual born with a very sweet tooth, one of my favourite things to do is to try new bakeries I find while exploring and, while in Richmond, I came across Flavourtown Bakery which, with its colourful appearance and Instagram-worthy cakes, was an instant attraction to my child. I got a Vanilla Cheesecake Funfetti Cupcake which was a delicious combination of cupcake and cheesecake in regards to flavour. The sponge was soft, the scoop of cheesecake was smooth and had that perfect tang to it while the icing was sweet. My only complaint being that I would perhaps have preferred more cheesecake to icing but perhaps that’s personal preference. I also got a Chocolate Chip Cookie which was the chunkiest beast of a cookie I’ve got my mouth on in a while but it had such a delicious taste. The outside was perhaps a bit too crispy at bits but inside was this beautiful gooey heaven and I honestly loved it. It was honestly so yummy! My daughter got the Unicorn Cupcake which looks and absolute delight and I can’t imagine many little girls being able to avoid choosing this adorable looking cake. While she said she enjoyed it, it was very sweet and did lead to a very hyper child for the next few hours so parents, be warned! Haha! Make sure you have activities in mind to burn that sugar off. We also got a slice of the Rainbow Cake and I have to say, the size of the slice is incredibly generous and was enough for us to split into two smaller, separate slices. The sponge here was rather dry if I’m honest which was rather sad but the frosting was luscious and melted in my mouth - if it wasn’t for the icing, the cake would probably be too dry to eat on its own. Ultimately, I would say on my trying of Flavourtown, it is a fantastic bakery for cupcakes and cookies but I’m not completely sold on their larger cakes. There is more focus on style than substance but I did enjoy their products.

Ero nella zona per mangiare qualcosa, così mi imbatto in questa piccola pasticceria che esteticamente fa dei cupcake davvero fenomenali. C’erano tanti gusti da poter provare, sia classici che special edition, però io mi sono limitato solo ai tradizionali prendendo uno al red velvet, uno al caramello salato, uno bad ass brownie cupcake, 99 problems but biscoff, un cookie al cioccolato e nutella e un pezzo di brownie al mars. Allora limpasto del cupcake era molto buono perché umido e non affatto secco, nel complesso non erano male ma la glassa messa sopra in alcuni sembrava troppo formaggiosa e in altri invece troppo dolce. Il biscotto anche non era male così come il brownie al mars, cioccolatoso è un po’ di caramello ma buono. Totale 22£

Normally we have a very pleasant experience at Flavourtown (Richmond), however on our last 2 visits we have gotten much smaller pieces that usual, and today my Rainbow cake was very dry and too burned for me to ignore. I struggle to understand how a burned cake was not seen before icing and discarded...very disappointed.

We actually come here a lot and it’s AMAZING it’s Family friendly and a great place to visit also the cakes are delicious and stunning to look at :) I would definitely recommend it

Spent £60 on a raspberry and white chocolate 6" birthday cake for collection from Richmond bakery. Ordered via website with request for hand piped message.  On arrival at the bakery it was very Instagramable but the cakes looked very unappealing, all style over substance. I hoped I would be proved wrong. The server showed me the cake and I was disappointed to see the hand piped message wasn't on the cake itself, but on a separate plaque, this was not made clear on the website and had I known I would have ordered from elsewhere. On getting home and sitting down with my family for a piece of celebratory cake we all audibly moaned at eating it. Each one of us took one mouthful and complained how awful it was. And we've tried a lot of different cakes over the years! The cake itself was 4 layers of what can only be described as wet dense sponge. Very claggy and unpleasant. The 'buttercream' had a very strange aftertaste, very synthetic and artificial, highly whipped so more of a mousse and nothing like traditional buttercream. Very unpleasant when combined with the sponge. Overall there was no taste of white chocolate (few choc chips dotted around but that was all), and apart from the fresh raspberries on top the cake tasted very artificially of raspberry. It takes a lot for me to not be able to eat more than one mouthful of cake but this was revolting.  I called the bakery the next morning and explained my birthday had literally been soured by the cake experience. I was told they would contact the kitchen with feedback and would talk to manager about what they could do to resolve the situation. I asked for a full refund and was told their policy was never to offer refunds. I was asked to put my complaint in writing which I did. The email I got back was defensive, rude and took no accountability for the experience. Rather than apologising and trying to redeem the situation I was told that as I could not return the cake to them for testing (live too far away) they did not believe there was a problem as no one else had complained and they kept repeating that they only used the 'finest ingredients in their cakes' meaning they have a small profit margin, they couldn't afford to just give out free cakes to anyone who complained because of 'personal taste'. I was told the cake was 'American style' and maybe i just wasnt familiar with it if I was only used to having 'traditional English Victoria Sponges'...how patronising! I know what American style cakes are like, and will happily go to their competitors any day over them again. After 3 emails back and forth it was clear Flavourtown were only interested in blaming me for the bad experience, and in fact they made an already bad situation worse with their terrible customer service. They refused a refund and said that if I tried to put any negative reviews out on social  media they would reply with their own version of events. I was offered 10% discount off another cake, which I declined. Everything I ever learned professionally about how not to handle customer service with upset customers, they seemed to gleefully demonstrate, without regret.  I ordered a replacement birthday cake from one of their competitors (which was delicious), paying a further £40 to try and get the bad taste out of my mouth from Flavourtown. They took my money and I all I got was an inedible cake and insulting 'customer service'...lesson learned, avoid avoid avoid and stick to Lola's and Hummingbird Bakery. Never again...

I order a gluten free cake for my daughter birthday. Arrived with wrong message on it. Very disappointed. I expect to give more attention to the products especially when they offer allergy alternatives. I contacted them, I should receive a call next day, no one contact me. Never gonna used it again.

I bought a big rainbow cake Saturday 15/10/22 It was my third cake just this month and it was really doughy and it felt undercooked and not mixed properly.
