I had to throw £35 worth of food in the bin because my order had been on the road for over 2 hours. When I phoned to complain, I was promised 10% off my next order. Never again!

I ordered online. I had a kebab cocktail , it was beautiful, the sauce it came with was out of this world . My 2 sons had a chicken tikka roll. It was packed with meat &bag of salad and lovely mint sauce . Compliments to the chef. 10/10 . Will definately be ordering again. Prices are great too.

I had the special naan chips salad & mint can of coke ... fair to say it was lovely good value for money too. 😋😋

Great food overall, only complaint is that I spent £3.90 on samosas and only got 3 in a bag whereas chicken pakoras are £4 and you get 5 pakoras, rather frustrating to know I spent £1.30 per samosa.

it was alright. the chicken however was very hard and couldn’t eat most of it as it wasn’t chewable. the korma was nice tho but the chicken ruined it i recommend you make it softer please.

Feel compelled to leave this review, I order from this restaurant around once a month, there has been only one issue, forgetting to put the drink in or forgetting an item of food but that is very rare. Food is always AMAZING, and one time they forgot my drink the delivery driver went to the shop and grabbed me a coke (I didn’t ask for this). Made my day as I was dying for a fizzy drink 😂😂😂. I won’t use another Indian take away as they have always done right by me :) Highly recommend.

I used to like food from here but last couple of meals I have had was very oily and very overpowered with coconut I had bhuna which normally has a bit of spice not overloaded with coconut I think they make all the curry's from kurma sauce to start I will not be going back been going since they opened but no more sorry you have lost a customer

I must have had half a dozen exceptional meals from here in the last eight months, and for those I thank you. However tonight was the most terrible curry that i have ever had. At a guess I would say that it was cooked yesterday and reheated. The onion bhaji's were dry and cardboard like, the sauce was grainy and old, and the rice was reheated and floury. If this kitchen has lost the love in their product, they should find something else to do. Seriously disappointed 😞

Don't know why i bothered to order from here again thought it would have been better but awful ordered on line cost 31.00 it took 2 hrs to get to me and I'm just up the road. It was cold horrible horrendous delivery girl was quite offish just sed here's ur order and have you got hold of it now no curry never ever again will i order food from this place

I am still owed £35 because of their website crashing. I have made 3 attempts at contact including visiting the shop. Having used them for 10 years I won’t be in future.

Picked my daughter up from station abd had heard good reviews of this place food was absolutely beautiful full of flavour and great portions will definitely use again

Have to say we always have our Indian from here and the food has always been nice and hot and really nice . Had Tika masala tonight , perfect .

Great Indian food not the cleanest of venues but you don't eat your food there do you. Won't go anywhere else locally.

Husband and son were seriously unwell with S&D for over a week after eating the same meal from here. Checked the hygiene rating and its a TWO!!!!! Beware!!

Third time of waiting over an hour and 30 mins for food. Joke of a place, food finally turns up and it’s cold!!! Would not recommend anymore

Our go to takeaway! The food is absolutely incredible! We’re Indian food lovers and order from here once a week, we wouldn’t have it from anywhere else, never had a bad meal from here. Just delicious

Ordered last night as soon as opened (5pm) with order for 7pm. Tried calling @730pm and was unable to get through for 10 minutes. Food eventually delivered @750pm by which point it was all cold and required putting back in the microwave, tried calling to give the feedback and couldn’t get through again! Food is lovely but this service was unacceptable. Will not use them again for home delivery!!!!

Undoubtly the best takeaway around great food great service once you try you are hooked ! Can recommend ginger, chilli chicken tikka massalla. And rice's

2 stars is about right for this place. Tikka Masala is one of the most basic things from an Indian and I didn’t enjoy mine that much. It was too sweet for my liking compared to others I’ve had. The naan bread was poor as well. I also found a hair in my food which certainly wasn’t mine. The customer service was good though which I can’t fault. Improvement needed, there’s better around Ystrad Mynach.

Joke of a place! A couple of months ago they forgot 3 courses to our order and had to wait 50 minutes for them to drop them off. Plus it was cold when it finally was delivered. Thought we’d give them a second chance tonight and we placed our order at 5:40pm with a 1 hour delivery time. 2 hours later we were still waiting. (Don’t mind waiting but state it’s going to be 2 hours!) Oh and to top it off there was a hair in my rice.

Delivery said upto a hour, our food turned up 1 hour 45 minutes later… food was cold when it arrived & had to be re heated, which ment our chips had to be binned as personally theres nothing worse than chips that have been in the microwave… 1st & probably last time we will use this take away….

Used to enjoy this place sadly its gone down hill. Meat is all fatty and food just dosent taste nice . I complained last time but this time I thort forget it I just wount order from there again.

Absolutely delicious! I enjoyed a takeaway Onion Bhaji, Chicken Tikka Massala, rice and naan bread while visiting family in the area. I would highly recommend this establishment for its tasty food service and friendly staff! 😁👍

We are new to the area and we have just had our first indian take out from Flavours of Indian the delivery was on time and the food was outstanding. One of the best Indians we have had.

As a Nelson resident I have been spoiled by an Indian takeaway on my doorstep but Tuesday 4th May saw my local closed. As an alternative I tried the Flavours of India takeaway in the adjoining village. Chicken madras, chicken korma, tandoori special birani, mushroom bhaji the pilau rice, poppadoms and selection of nan breads for a meal for three. Food was ready for collection in half an hour. Have to say that this was a fantastic meal, full of mouthwatering aroma, flavours, spices and creaminess in all the right places. meats were clearly good cuts and perfectly cooked. All three participants agreed that the meal was fantastic and with no fault at all. Will certainly recommend this place and will also not hesitate in indulging the food here again. One of only two Indian takeaways that have ever received a five star review from ME.

moved to this indian at start lockdown march 2020, faultless food every time, use at least once a month so that twelve lovely meals, i always have something different to, tonight food was superb

Ordered on food hub at 7 pm, live only 3 to 4 miles away about the distance of our usual takeaway only to be told by foodhub and not the company themselves after waiting 3 hours for food that it has been cancelled. Come up with poor excuses such as too far away but to be honest think they just couldn't be bothered to do it, poor customer service would never recommend.

We are locals so we have ordered from Flavours for years. We know what we like and usually very satisfied with our order. They have never done particularly ‘great’ dishes, but the quality has definitely been going downhill as of late. Ordered the keema garlic naan and it managed to attain that unusual double whammy of being both burned AND soggy. Our ‘chicken delight’ was a korma but we paid £2 extra for it. The rice was cold, the masala was too spicy for those who ordered it to eat, the King prawn bhuna had about four (normal-sized) prawns in it. Don’t get me wrong, it isn’t a bad meal at all! We all ate it and it filled us up. It was just DISAPPOINTING. Which is a shame. There are no Indian Takeaways around here that are particularly good anymore. Though Flavours is still probably better than most of the others and we will probably continue to order here because it is so conveniently close.

First time and certainly won't be the last. Everything was cooked to perfection and amazingly tasty. And the fastest service ever on a Xmas eve, just 15 minutes. Merry Xmas everyone.

First time having food from here.was very disappointed as food was bland.delivery was on time and staff fab on phone.kema nan wasnt cooked properly.6 pieces of lamb in bhuna. Unfortunately good service wasnt enough.

In my opinion this is the best Indian takeaway in the Valley’s. I always pick it up, as delivery times can be hours, but the food is always perfect, without exception. It’s full of flavour, and plentiful. The chefs and owner do a great job.

We have struggled to fine a good curry were we are and we’re delighted to fine this gem. Not only did we find each dish we ordered to be delicious but their delivery radius is quite broad. So you don’t have to be in Ystrad to enjoy a good curry. Already planning what to order next time!! 😁 Only one small thing to improve on and that’s the website. Would be good to be able to order in advance 👍🏻

Great food much better AND cheaper than The Viceroy. If you are bright enough to realise that it's better to telephone the order and not order through a website then you won't get any problems! Have been going there for a long time now and haven't had a bad meal. If you are lucky enough to live nearby then just make the effort and go there to order then you won't have any delays at all!! P.S. Why anyone would want chips with such a nice meal is beyond me. Just an update to my review as we ordered last Friday and the meal was terrible, no idea of how to cook Indian cuisine at all, it looked like a child had been playing at being a chef?? The Biryanis we ordered were not, no veg curry with it just a tomato looking passata that you can buy from Lidl's for 39p, tasteless mush and to make matters worse the Biryani was just a brownie coloured rice with no veg just tiny bits of meat and all this for £22.......after ordering from here since they opened years ago this was the last straw, not throwing away good money on this muck. Tried leaving a message on their website but even that doesn't work, completely useless. We phoned to complain but the guy tried to tell us the veg curry had been purified, I'd call it putrefied......DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.......

Ordered food from there last night the keema nan wasn't cooked the filling was cold and as for the nan it stuck to my hand Dough wasn't cooked plus the main course was average disappointing I'm done with you. 👎

1st Nov, 2019, ordered a takeaway for delivery and they said it would be 1 hour, ok it was 10 minutes longer and i don't mind that. But realised that 1 of the Currys had not been delivered and had called the restaurant to inform them of this and was told I could have it the the next time I had a takeaway. I'm sorry but I won't be having a meal from this restaurant again, plus the food was cold .

Ordered through just eat. Will I order again NO. Its.easy as 123....... simple ,order 3 curries hmmm only 2 delivered. When I contacted to complain." Do you want it in your next order !!!". "NO I WANT IT NOW ". Will I order again !......No chance .

Superb food and always good delivery

Ordered through just eat. Wait time was 1 hour 20 minutes. After 1 hour 30 minute we rang up and was told our order was with the driver. 20 minutes later order wasn't with us so rang again. Was initially told they had a high volume of orders as I it would be a long wait, however I explained we were told it was already in the car 20 minutes ago. When he checked our food hadn't actually left yet. They then said if food wasn't with us in 10 minutes to ring back for a refund. The food arrived 15 minutes later (food was supposed to arrive at 8:40 but arrived at 9:40). Rang twice to get a refund but no one answered. After eating it was then 10 pm and I couldn't be bothered to ring again. When arrived the food was good but not fantastic. The mango chutney lid hadn't been put on properly so it was all over the bag / trays so that was a bit of a downer. It was also hot enough to eat but clearly had cooled down a lot. Purely because of the wait I wouldn't order here again.

Food half hour late, had to reheat as cold, poppadoms soggy, onion bhajis soft and soggy, not impressed being a insulin control diabetic

Had food from here once or twice , not amazing really but pleasant, in this order there was a huge cooked bug in the rice with legs and had to throw the whole meal in the bin, had to chase my refund have had no apology still , phoned to chase my refund 2 days later and they seemed not one bit bothered that there was a huge bug in my food, very disappointed. Due to that will never eat here again even a slight shock or an apology would have gone a long way obviously something that's happened before I assume. !!!!!! Unfortunately cant post a pic of the bug but if i could i would.

Had one of the best takeaways last night, literally couldn't fault it, chicken pathia was gorgeous and the special naan was definitely special 👍

Food was too sweet. The madras sauce had more sugar in than a doughnut the tikka masala was the same. At least the chutney was ok....almost £30 wasted.

I used to love ordering from this place, but the last couple of years the standards have dropped dramatically. They seem to focused on banging out the orders, rather than getting them right. Most of the time there's food missing, or curry, completely tipped out in bag. Absolutely shocking!

Chips were cold. Salad soggy in bag. Nann bread was cold and wet. Rice was nice and so was tikka but was barely warm. Had go heat up.in the microwave. Couldn't eat most of it.

I am really disappointed after spending nearly £40 on Indian for one meal to come with no rice and the wrong naan to be sent (with egg? Eww). The curry wasnt the best, I've had better. I phoned the restaurant and they delivered a new rice but no gesture of good will for making all my food go cold whilst I waited. The whole experience was ruined for my friends birthday as we could not eat together. Save your money.

Food was nice and warm and good to eat when it eventually arrived. I appreciate it was a busy Friday however there was no correspondence from Just Eat or the takeaway for the late arrival. Eating food at 9:45pm was not the best!
