Unfortunately the chicken wings looked almost black,like they were cooked 4 times over or just old. Was disappointed with my order.

Bought kebab and chips, tasted good, but was cold in delivery

absolutely grim, chips and the pita bread are the only edible things there

Ordered Lunch today, the food was fresh and delicious. They even gave us a cake for our anniversary too, how cute 🥰

Food arrived exactly at 23.35 which was still on time. It left the takeaway around 22.46 though and didn’t appear to have in any kind of bag to keep it warm when the driver dropped it off. Not very impressed after a long day getting a practically cold meal at the end of it.

XL doner kebab, huge portion, enough meat for 2 people and importantly really tasty. Quick service. Friendly enough staff. Only negative is they forgot to include the pitta bread, thankfully had some at home, minor issue for me.

Paid £16 for 6 wings burger and chips with a drink. Not worth it, the wings were fried from frozen, the chicken burger was a steak burger? Not worth the price.

I’ll be honest the food wasn’t great, the wings had no taste and were slightly burned. The burger was disgusting with the salad I opted for they put cabbage in it. Who puts cabbage in a burger? It tasted awful so I couldn’t even finish it. Threw most of the meal in the bin.

When I ordered it said that it would be delivered by 10.15 or 10.30 so I waited for it to arrive as usual but when 10.15 came around nothing showed up I waited an extra 45 minutes and still nothing no food arrived and no information from store very disappointed

Got a Doner kebab wrap not the cheapest, plenty of meat but the salad was non existent. I watched the guy make it and he couldn’t be bothered to go get more salad from the back hence no salad. So bad!. Won’t be going back.

I ordered here a few months ago and the Lamb doner was dry and cold, when before it used to be more fresh and hot, but I thought maybe it was just that one time, so I ordered again a few weeks later and same result, maybe I just get the overdone cuts but it’s been disappointing considering I’ve been coming to this place for a long time but the service is great and the drivers are friendly.

Next time I’m staying near stanstead for a flight, I’m ordering from here again! Good, tasty food

Despite having some of the nicest kebabs in Stortford, I won’t be ordering again. The prices seem to increase either every single order, and the portion sizes are definitely getting smaller. A real shame, as this will undoubtedly be bad for business. Time to find another decent kebab house - cya

Food ok a bit bland compared to some of the others around here. The chilli sauce wasn’t up to much in terms of spice either. Will have again but not first choice

Food used to be amazing, the kofta is always good and the chicken shish is usually great but this time it wasn't grilled enough IMO.

Quite disappointing to be putting a 1 star review for the food here but doing this as respect for the people who work there instead of social media that people mainly do these days. To think I paid £10.50 for a very dry lamb kofta with not fresh & rotten salad is really sad considering this was one of the main kebab places I used to order food from. Looking at the reviews I really hope they are taken into consideration & there is a positive turn around to improve the quality of the food. The staff there are super nice just a shame on the food.

Couldn't sleep properly at night cause I had to vomit everything out and having diarrhoea in the morning they served my order too quickly, I think that was standing there for a while, never again.

I'm a big fan of kebabs. I have tried many. This is certainly one of the best. I Will definitely go back.

Awful customer service received tonight. Items missing, the restaurant failed to deliver it. Restaurant offered to re send then Failed to arrive for the second time, requested a refund. Refused a refund as paid in cash. Been hung up on and still out of pocket. I’d avoid as the customer service is shocking! Shame when we order regularly!

Shocked at the customer service we’ve received tonight when Flames missed food off of our £70 order. They failed to send items then failed to send them for the second time and are refusing to offer a refund for the food we’ve paid for but haven’t received. I’ve been hung up on. Will in to collect the money they now owe us! Shame they do not value their customers! Will not be using again!

Normally very good but the burgers were completely ruined tonight, overwhelming taste of vinegar from the cabbage, which had soaked into the rolls so even taking it out didn’t help. I don’t know if they’ve switched to pickled cabbage or not but whatever has changed it needs to change back. I still can’t taste anything but vinegar hours 2 hours later.

Really disappointed! Not sure if there is a new chef but last nights order was awful. Cheesey chips stone cold and normal fries all the cheese was lumpy. The southern fried strips (6 for nearly £7) were cold over cooked and just a frozen packet job. Shame but will never order fron here again. £42 down the drain.

Chips were NOT cooked and hard , meat was cold and that didn’t look cooked either. I am disappointed and this will be the first and last time ordering form here

I asked for it to be left on my doorstep, but the doorbell wasn’t even rung so I didn’t know it had arrived.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. Several hairs in the food plus asked for cheese in the burgers which you have to pay extra for and there was no cheese. Will not be returning. Stick to Takeley Kebab which don’t provide a side of hairs in the dishes.

Overpriced and poor quality. Food was cold when it arrived and chips tasted like cardboard. Will not be ordering from them again!

Chicken sheesh had bone in chicken , just eat refunded me after seeing pictures

I had complained my food was freezing and was told I was having £6 est refunded but I wasn’t given a refund

Plenty in the order, I know it was a little distance for the delivery - but maybe consider the use of a warm box to transport the food - it was stone cold on arrival !!

Ordered a mixed doner and a burger meal for NYE. My partner has caught food poisoning from the mixed doner. There is no other food or meal it could have been as the rest of us are fine. Their food hygiene rating is 4 and would advise this is lowered to a 1. We’ve normally have a good experience from the food until now. Major stomach cramps and projectile vomiting. Stay away!

When i usually order from flames food is always really good, nice and hot and fresh. Unfortunately when I received my delivery the sheesh was cold and the chips were cold and soggy, really frustrating

Order was due for 19:10 and never came until 20:00 at which point I just went off licence, it’s a shame as I use them a lot but won’t be again

The order was very late. We the unpacked the order and a large chips, which was the only order for my 9 year old daughter was missing. I called Flames and they said that they could send some chips but it would take a while. Considering it was now already 9.10 and the order was 35 mins late, thus was not acceptable.

After we traveled for 12 hours back to the UK a kebab was just what we needed. Sadly it came without a pitta as someone forgot to add it to the order. I tried call but no answer for 30 minutes. Eventually my call was answered and 2 pitas send out after the chicken doner was already cold. Hopefully not just me but I like a kebab with a pita that’s soaked with the juices from the meat. Was very disappointed and threw it away

Not cheap, but you get a lot of meat for your money and the quality is good. Poor delivery driver came out in the pouring rain and was still hot.

I contacted the store, to ask for something I requested on there chat box as u can not leave notes for the shop on just eat, I was very disappointed, they did not reply, even after this they still have not contacted, food's nice, cusmour service that they charge for, can't even reply.
