Very disappointed. Booked online, received a confirmation email, only to turn up to an empty restaurant. Just not good enough.

Myself and my partner had the Cote de boeuf and the kids had Ribeye and Fillet, all delicious, we had triple cooked chips and Parmesan and truffle fries, Cauliflower cheese dish and Ceaser salads with our steaks and pepper corn sauce, superb all round.

Beautiful meal in Flame tonight - really great food steaks were so tender & cocktails are lovely... will defo be back soon! Service great too & lovely place, decor etc - very warming atmopshere!

Great buzz in the restaurant. Very pleasant staff who were great with a table of 6 ladies...slowly making up their minds. Excellent food.

Food was a little disappointing I got the pork chop on the menu and it was really over cooked. Half a cabbage that was on the plate wasn’t that nice either and there was too much of it. My sweet potato fries also weren’t all fully cooked. For the price of the main course I was so disappointed. My husband had a steak and it was fine, but not amazing. Cocktails were fabulous though and the staff very nice.

Food great service was ok as they would not swap the chips for mash on the battered cod as my uncle could not eat chips as of soft diet

Had fabulous pre theatre meal last night. Food delicious and restaurant was beautiful, relaxed and spacious. Waiting staff were superb. Special thanks to Martin, waiter who took our order. So pleasant and cheerful and helpful. Will definitely return.

Food is bit overpriced but for the atmosphere and vibe you can understand. Problem is portion size is very small and the taste is mostly average. Steak was such a disappointment.

We went twice in December both times service was really good but the food was a let down. Had fish and chips the second time and chips were hard and tasteless as if they'd been cooked a few times.

Seriously, best steak I have had in a while. This was the first place we ate in Belfast and it did not disappoint. Definitely on the pricey side, but WELL worth it. The fit out inside is such a fun vibe!

A cosy and enjoyable place for dining. The medium rare sirloin steak was soft and juicy and it comes with a choice of side and dipping sauce. I went with the onion rings and garlic butter. A slab of garlic butter goes perfect with the steak. The portion is sizeable and well worth the £36. The fish and chips was crispy and authentic.

Drinks way to expensive for what u get.

Had our work Christmas dinner here today and could not fault the service- food was lovely, staff v friendly and service was impeccable. The restaurant is beautiful too- would highly recommend.

Enjoyed a wonderful time last week with my partner. The food was excellent, and the drinks were outstanding. Special thanks to our server, Nick, who provided fantastic service throughout the night!

Ate here whilst in Belfast for a conference with colleagues. The hotel was adjacent to my colleagues’ hotel. Great decor and ambience and menu. I opted for the chicken and my fellow diners the short rib of beef. We only enjoyed our food and the waiter was very pleasant and helpful. Highly recommended.

First time in the restaurant since they moved, unfortunately as Belfast has so many options to eat it will the last. Menu incredibly limited, ordered bread and butter for starter. Three rolls and one piece of prepackaged butter, no tapende or home made butter. I would expect a head chef to be embarrassed putting that out. Main course was OK. Service was OK. Unfortunately the quality of food/ingredients presented was very much at the lower end and with the limited choice everything should have been on point.

We ate here last night whilst working in the area. I must say the ambience, service and food were second to none, will certainly be back when I’m next over, many thanks to one and all.

We visited here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and so glad we did! The service was really friendly and personal so we felt really looked after. The cocktails (Sherbert dip & Pornstar Martini) were delicious and beautifully presented. The chicken liver parfait starter was exceptional - I didn't want it to end! The fillet steak was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing with the garlic butter side. The décor of the restaurant is lovely, very classy feel which made the night really special. Thank you Flame for a memorable evening.

We went for a business dinner Ordered : Steak: it was bit dry as per our guest. coley Fish : Good dish Chicken: was good too Soicy Tofu: was ordered by and it had salt sprinkled on each piece and was so so salty. The red color picture is for my dish. I would say Tofu dish was not good Rice being very very dry and not at all moist and warm. I got good reviews from other’s . May be expected bit more but will try that next time again. 💯 for ambience and drinks. I would suggest must visit place do give instruction for food to be warm Overall taste is average 💫

Visited flame for pre-theatre dinner and a late birthday celebration. Very welcoming environment, friendly efficient staff and great food that was served quickly. I had the Portuguese chicken from the pre-theatre menu and finished everything on my plate. My friend had sirloin steak and chips, which she said was beautiful. We had 2 cocktails each which were 6.50 each before 7 pm (selected cocktails) and I was impressed.

Arrived on a Friday night, for dinner with my husband, before heading to the SSE arena. Therefore we had booked our table for 6.00pm. Arrived asked our booking name, asked again, then the member of staff looking around the restaurant, to see what table was available, obviously had no record of our booking. They being seated which to be honest, the tables of two are a after thought. Stuck out in the middle of the restaurant. Then ask would we like a drink, I asked for a Bloody Mary to be told, there was no tomato juice. Friday night service had just started and there was already items on the drink menu not available. Surely, some member of staff, could have gone to the shop and purchased tomato juice. My husband was also going to have one. A bloody Mary are £9.50 each, making the total £19. We are always hearing how restaurants are not having a easy time, staff issues, raising prices. Although when they cannot even be bothered to ensure everything is available on there menu, that is a problem right there. If I owed Flame, I would not be happy losing that amount of money, just because no one could be bothered to go to a shop. While the food was nice and enjoyable. Our plan was to stay and have another drink before heading to the SSE, although we decided, no why we would stay there and spend more of our hard earn cash. We staed to eat as we were needing to eat before the show, or otherwise I would have left. I feel the overall service and atmosphere is not what it was previous, in their old premises. My husband and I do not get out often, this should have been a lovely way to start our evening. I was looking really forward to visiting Flame, only to be disappointed. Would I rush back, no. Would I recommend, also no. 3 stars for the food only.

Looking for a spot to get some lunch today and happily spotted this place. Staff friendly and attentive. Food also very good. Super tasty garlic mushrooms and the fish and chips were excellent. Mushy peas also really, really good!

What a find. Fantastic menu, very attentive staff, good atmosphere, First class bar staff who took time to make sure that each drink was perfect leaving the bar. The Portuguese chicken was delicious and just the right portion size. Highly recommended.

This place is full all the time, so reservation recommended. We just walked in and scooped their last 'walk-in' spot!! We saw them turn away so many once we were seated - so lucky! The food was very good so that is why it is so popular!!

Had dinner and really liked the new setting. Good atmosphere and a great decor making for a pleasant meal. We had a selection of breads which were disappointing. 3 small rolls and 3 pieces of wheaten bread. All a bit bland and needed to be served with oils or tapanade. Served just with a couple of acts of butter. For mains we had steak and chicken. Steak was a little bit chewy but was flavoursome. Chicken was tender but too spicy as a main the more that you ate. Marinaded firstly and then with a peri eri sauce but just a bit overpowering (personal preference). Overall view is that the mains menu is too limited. Service was good and the price was in keeping with the area.

Came here with a party. The lady taking down what we wanted to drink suddenly stopped taking our drink orders and walked away from the table while my friend was in the middle of telling her what he wanted to drink. A different lady came over to take our drink orders and we never seen the other lady who left for the rest of the night. The majority of us ordered steaks and they were all undercooked to how we wanted them. We also got the triple cooked chips and they definitely weren’t triple cooked. Steak was lovely, but I did ask for medium and it was half medium and half medium rare. I might return in the future to see if there’s been any improvement.

Loved the quirky decor. The Flame Bramble is a very nice drink. Had the Smokey Coley with Risotto. Very tasty, but more Risotto than I can eat. Would have liked another vegetable besides peas, too. Had the warm apple with candied ginger and vegan ice cream. Was disappointed, as there was little to no ginger.

My sister and I went here for dinner on Monday 25th September..we were looked after by a lovely waiter call Nicholas..he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and helped us decide what was good on the menu...we both had the burger which I have to say was of great quality and very tasty from start to finish..would definitely recommend this restaurant and a special shout out to Nicholas for his help and professionalism

First Class restaurant in the heart of Belfast. The new location for Flame provided an opportunity to impress customers with new decor. Wow!! What a fabulous job they did from the stunning bar to the roomy tables and chairs. A transformation from the old restaurant in Howard Street. The food was absolutely beautiful with a wide and varied menu to suit all tastes. The service was second to none, very attentive without being oppressive. We were celebrating at special birthday and the staff could not have been more accommodating even with a baby at the table. Our server Nicholas was exceptional, warm, welcoming and very professional.

I was meeting up with a few friends in Belfast on a Tues night and we only realised how difficult it was to get a restaurant open on a Tues evening - we were lucky to get a table in Flame and this turned out to be a good result - they have moved into a really nice building and its well laid out with a nicely furnished bar . The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the food was of a very acceptable quality. We all thoroughly enjoyed our evening here and would recommend to anyone looking for a table especially early in the week

Our 2nd visit to Flame and yet again we had the most amazing visit. The new premises is stunning. Such a lovely warm welcome from Sarah-Jane and her team. Food unbelievable we had Steak & Scallops and both dishes cooked to perfection. Thank you to Sarah-Jane and Keri for your exceptional service we can't wait to visit again. My rating 6 stars.

Distinctly average to below average fare on our visit. The place was not very busy even though it was a Saturday afternoon which says a lot. Not sure how this place is rated so highly on Google, there are so many better options in Belfast. The worst was the service. We had to go and find waiting staff for our desert. The staff who served us were sitting in the restaurant having lunch, additionally three of the chefs were sat close to us on their break again in the restaurant all on their phones. This is a first in my experience and again speaks volumes about the place. Not recommended unfortunately. Nice venue and could be so much more.

Great food, great staff, well looked after.

So disappointed with my first experience at Flame. Food overall was average and overpriced. One of the starters was taken off the bill as it tasted unpleasant. Vegetarian dish was bland. Staff were very aloof and presented as apathetic. We ordered Irish whiskeys for the table side experience of it being made in front of you but it didn't happen. Waiter said there wasn't enough room between tables but didn't explain this when we ordered. I wasn't impressed and I'm unlikely to go back.

I had heard great things about this restaurant so thought I should try it. Me and a few friends tried it last night. I had the centre cut fillet steak and the banoffee pie. The steak was well done as requested, and it was incredible. Easily the best steak I've ever had! Absolutely lovely! The peppercorn sauce, roasted tomatoes and the chips were also really great. The banoffee was lovely too, sweet but not overly sweet. The presentation of the food on the plate was first class. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. A little on the pricey side but I knew that going in so wasn't surprised. Exceptional, can't wait to go back!

Fantastic spot and great atmosphere....I had the soup of the day and it was very, very delicious. Definitely worth it.....much better than pub food.
