As being new to the area i tried this cafe one day and this cafe is amazing. Fab food and staff (nothing is to much trouble). Generous portions at a reasonable price. So have been returning for numerous visits since

Only have breakfast here on the whole it's pretty good. The black pudding is a bit dry and no hash brown or fried bread. The place could do with a good clean out that lets it down the owner is a nice guy always happy.

Brilliant prices, and lovely home cooked Sunday roast. Definitely can’t beat it. Although the cafe is let down by its deco, it’s definitely made up for in piping hot, home cooked food. Definitely worth a visit!

I can't believe the prices! Really good value for well-cooked fare. It deserves a four-star but I only downgraded it to three because it's tired-looking inside, and the loo needs some attention. But it was a welcome break, the cheese and potato pie was excellent, and the cost seemed a throwback to some of the old memories of Abercynon in years gone by.

When we went to Fives we nearly mist it because of the half front taken up by industrial Kitchen things. We sat down and were pleasantly welcomed by the one half of the duo that work very well one serving the other cooking I had a small breakfast my granddaughter had sausages chips and gravy and my wife had poached egg on toast freshly cooked to order and all very nice it was too. The walls seemed to be covered with tea towels form all their holidays. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming other people who were there would talk to us as well, altogether a very nice experience. As one of the other customers said You'll Be Back.

It might be described as a greasy spoon cafe but in the best possible way. The proprieters are friendly and welcoming and always ready for a chat. Food is average but the portions are generous and the prices are as low as you will find anywhere. A great cooked breakfast always available.

You can't go wrong with a place like this £3.99 for an all day breakfast.Staff were courteous and pleasant and the place was decorated with images of previous holiday destinations many of which i'd been too. It isn't posh but if you want good honest food at a very reasonable price from hard working people give it a go if your in the area.

Good place for what it is, a café that does nice breakfasts and dinners. Very reasonable prices and the 2 gentlemen who own the place are very friendly. If you want posh expensive food then avoid, if you want cheap basic meals then this is the place to get them.

Grubby little cafe. Needs a good clean very expensive for what you get. My feet was sticking to the floor. Not sure what hygiene rating it got but can imagine it is low

I have visited this cafe quite a few times for their cooked breakfasts. Very friendly and cheerful staff and customers. Portions are generous and inexpensive. If you need cheering up and enjoy a cooked breakfast this place is unsurpassed.

Not had food there for a few years but it's always booked out and it was great when we went, but it's a well run pub with a friendly local feel and a pleasant atmosphere and we quite often stop of when on a walk or on our way back from somewhere.

Had many meals here and never ever disappointed. Lovely Sunday Lunch, something to suit all 10 of us (plus the dog who was also spoilt) Massive Thank you to Sarah who looked after us all perfectly. See you again soon.

This popped up so I posted a review about my feelings on the place which are valid but out of date. I used to really like your place so hope it is open again soon and back to how it was at the start.

As we were staying at the Premier Inn next door, we eat at The Longbow. This was the third night we eat there and was served by Lara. She was the only waitress that took our order and continued to make sure we were happy with the food by checking every so often. Many thanks Lara.
