Five Guys Castleford, Xscape Yorkshire in Wakefield

Came into Five Guys today for a meal it was my first time and I have admit I was pleasantly surprised the food was fantastic it was fresh enjoyable and a decent portion. I want to give an extra shout out to Kirstin her customer service was fantastic she was so pleasant and helpful definitely a credit to the company. I can’t wait to come back.

Would love to say what the food is like ,but ordered on just eat at around half 4 to have delivery for 6 , it's now nearly half past 7 and still no food. If you can't delivery, orders should be cancelled.

Excellent service, even with my allergies they took extra care to make sure my food wasn't contaminated by other ingredients.

Unbelievable burgers and the milkshakes are fantastic too. Shame the original coca cola was t working on the day though.

Ordered on the website for pick up to eat at home for me and my other half (she is vegetarian) she ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with mushrooms and when she opened it had several bits of bacon in it, this should not be happening as they state meat and veg are done on different grills, I rang the store no apology and didn't really seem to care, after being put on hold for 5 minutes they then offered to exchange but we declined just won't ever go again. VEGETARIANS BEWARE OF THIS.

Really good food and quick service

Went there and got the best burgers me and my son had in years. He over indulged on the chocolate milk shake which was lovely. The staff where so kind and helpful big recommend

Came here 2 days ago in the evening ordered 3 burgers in total next morning I was suffering with food poisoning as I’ve seen a previous review from a customer a week ago complaining of food poisoning this is a serious matter which needs to be investigated.

First time we have eaten there polite staff but that's about it both me and partner are now full of food poison made us well and truly poorly wouldn't eat there again

amazing store best five guys ive ever been too! rebuilt my burger with no issues, women in black seems to be a amazing person to work for offering loads of encouragement the other guy in black did look a bit bored walking up and down the store the young staff are incredible though for working a saturday night at busy time i commend you! keep up the good work i will be returning

Well cooked tasty burger with pretty good chips. Quite a long wait. The Restaurant is on the outside of the main Xscape Leisure complex which has a snow slope, bowling alley, cinema shops and restaurants. It is basic in decoration and fittings. More fast food than ambiance and prices are quite high but overall a good choice for a traditional burger. Not so good if you don't like beef though as the menu is limited.

Small hot dog very existence not going again

Ordered through just eat. First delivery never showed up and the second one hasn’t got my milkshake. I asked them to ring me on the second delivery notes for the second delivery but never got a call and you can’t get in touch when you try ring the number. The service I’ve had from this is absolutely insane. £80 across the two orders and I still haven’t got what I ordered. Hopefully just eat honours my refunds.

Five Guys is a burger nirvana, where the patties are so perfectly cooked, you'll swear angels are singing in your mouth. The toppings are endless, and the fries are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The service is always on point, and the staff is so friendly, you'll feel like you're part of the family. And the free peanuts are a nice bonus, especially if you're hungry while you wait for your food. The only downside is the price, which is a bit high. But it's worth it for the best burger of your life. Five Guys is like a luxury car for your taste buds. It's not cheap, but it's the best.

Having been in five guys elsewhere I thought it would be good. The server didn't explain about the menu, no help given on toppings, just distain that I didn't already know. Paid £14.30 for a burger and fries to take out. There were just 2 other customers sat down who had their food. Eventually I was shouted down to the other end of the place to collect. The bag was left open so I had to try and keep the heat in. The burgers cheese was all congealed to the foil so that wasn't great, the fries were just half made up of "bits/scraps" frazzled to hard little chips of no taste , crunchy and oil taste really. Very disappointed . too expensive for the quality of the food and disinterested staff need some training.

It was great customer service especially from Leisha, who helped us decide what to get when we had no idea what we wanted. And the manager Kieran was also a big help when he came over and offered his input as well. While to food is a little pricey I would say the speed which the food was made and the great customer service, makes up for it. Also the food is amazing. 10/10

Burgers were spot on. £2.85 for a 500ml bottle of sprite was a bit steep but that aside, thoroughly enjoyed

Was expecting delicious food for that price. The burger was nothing special, liked the chips but the portion was tiny. The burger was so oily that I was sick for a few hours after the meal.

The only Guys I go to for burgers. So good! Plenty of toppings to choose from and always on point.

Their fries has the best taste ever

First disappointing Five Guys I have come across. Only the burgers were what to expect from that establishment, their famous fries were undercooked and barely edible, and to make things worse all drinks from their machines were tasteless and highly diluted. I seriously hope that they will get back on track serving the type of food that is expected from that franchise.

If you are five guys customer and receive cold food by the delivery driver, please don't blame them. It's the idiotic staff policy to keep hot and cold food in the same bag. They refuse to pass food to driver if they want to keep cold and hot food separate.

It was OK but at the end of the day it only burger & chips. Had to wait about 20mins. They should have a separate area for phone orders to collect from in my opinion.

Burgers are delicious! Large fries is enough for a few to share (we shared 2 between 6 of us). Definitely a once every so often place as it's quite expensive. A nice treat though. Kids loved it too!

It wasn't busy, the food arrived quickly and it was delicious. The staff advised me on the portion sizes, so I didn't order too much food. I would recommend to anyone that like burgers or hotdogs. But their fries are the best around.

Food as usual tastes brilliant however I don’t think the children that work here have learned how to read yet, one of the milkshakes ordered didn’t show up and the one that arrived was labelled Oreo but turned out to be just vanilla?? Delivery service as a whole is abysmal

Called in for tea. First time ever having a five guys and I was unsure how to order, I was talked though it with one of the staff who was really helpfully with the whole process. Once my order was received the food was amazing the burgers was loaded with filling and the chips was seasoned well. The atmosphere from there was great as they all worked together to complete every order that was coming in. The food prep area was spotless. Be going back for another loaded burger! Keep up the good work!

What a let down..I been wanting to go for ages .the burger was mediocre the fries were bloody awful..I paid £6 for a cup full of scraps.. the best thing was the peanut butter milk shake..service was good..plus it came in a plain brown bag.. disappointed overall

I have frequented five guys at Castleford (xscape) on many occasions, the customer service, cleanliness and atmosphere has always been nothing less than impeccable. However, tonight (Sunday 18th of June 2023) the service has been taken to another level of sheer greatness. Upon entering I walked to the counter and was greeted happily by a young man, not only did he take my rather difficult order but he furthered it by asking how my day had been and other general chit chat with a very positive attitude. He was super helpful and caring about my experience. The food was of the best quality, from the burgers that had quite clearly been prepared and cooked with a great amount of care, to the beautiful skin on fries it was more than pleasant. When my order was ready the young man mentioned above also brought my food to the side of the counter nearest where me and my partner were sitting so that we didn't have to move a muscle, this further shows the time and effort the team put in. I then made the proposal of a tip to the positive young man to which he tried to decline, which was another display of his good nature. I insisted and left him with a tip, that in turn left him smiling the whole time we were in. To summarise five guys xscape always has the best service and never disappoints. I will also be calling customer services to further sing this man's praises. I cannot recommend five guys enough.

A lovely burger and hotdog with lots of fries, only gripe is it costs too much.

Very disappointed, £30 for 2 beef hotdogs chips and 2 milkshakes, the hotdogs where small and disgusting, the chips were literally thrown in the bag and the milkshakes were flavourless. We will not be going back here and to say I was looking forward to it too. What a disapointment

All the staff were helpful and nice, what I don't like on this one is that the bacon was cooked too much it was crunching. fries were a bit too greassy and not what im usualy use to....

Been to a few five Guys now but was a bit disappointed with this one. A bit slow service wise and wasn't as clean as the others I've been to. Also very cold for some reason.

Went in for one of their milkshakes and ordered a vanilla with Oreo. I was told to wait at the bottom for my order. While their I noticed that two guys were filling orders for deliveroo while the manager and the rest of the staff were chatting. No one was near the milkshake machine or making their way there to fill it Eventually, one of the guys asked what I was waiting for and I showed him my receipt. He told the manager who jumped into life and the colleague made his way to the machine only to shout to the.manager of they had any Oreos in They didn't They refunded me but it's worth noting I have ordered on just eat from here before and orders have been incorrect. Won't bother again. I think a change of leadership is needed.

1st time eating here, paid over odds, and got food served in a paper bag and polystyrene cup with frys in , all though we ate in,won't be going back again😡

Not bad but not the best we've been to. A few customer felt uncomfortable due to staff giggling when people were ordering, not sure what was so funny. Won't return.

Great burgers and amazing fries, very expensive but worth it as the occasional treat. First time I've visited the Xscape branch - it was Bank Holiday Monday so it was very busy. Still the same usual great service and quick turn over time, we were waiting no longer than normal for our food. Only problem was lack of seating options as it was so busy (but we did eventually manage to grab one!) The other issue is the drinks machine, no matter which branch you visit, is almost always out of flavour syrup. Wanted a vanilla Dr. Pepper but I had to settle for regular as the vanilla and cherry syrup were both unavailable. It would be nice to be told this when you order, if I'd have known I'd have got a beer

The food is good. Nobody can argue about that. The staff are friendly. The prep area is spotlessly clean and tidy. I'd love to give this a better review on atmosphere but the layout of the restaurant is just wrong. It's long and thin and it just doesn't have the right vibe. Maybe brighter, warmer lighting and maybe slightly lower music but idk I'm not a vibe expert

Disappointed really, the fries were massively over seasoned and dry, it was clear they had be refried several times. The burger was average and not very hot also we didn't get our milkshakes with our order. I had to ask for our drinks a second time and then show my receipt to prove I had paid. I have had much better quality in the York branch, Castleford was pretty poor in comparison 😕

It's just fast food. The staff looked borad. Service with a smile. 'Ye right". Tables could of done with a clean.

We had a great time at five guys. There was an error with our order and we received a burger instead of a hot dog. The young man behind the till immediately apologised and then ordered a hotdog for us. We were also allowed to keep the burger and then not only did they sort the food out quickly, but we were then offered free milkshakes for the inconvenience. Fantastic customer service and will be coming back after such a positive experience.

I am horrified, I got a grilled cheese (lack of veggie options), I was sceptical, however hopeful. IT WAS A BUN WITH A PROCESSED CHEESE SLICE PRESSED TOGETHER. The generous second star is for the fries, which aren't terrible.
