We came tonight for a last meal before we go home as it was close to where we are staying and the food was amazing. The waitress Joanna couldn’t have been more attentive. Very polite, so helpful I would highly recommend it when you go there you will have an amazing experience like we have. Made for an even better experience especially Joanna as she made us feel very welcome and was interested to know more about us which made for a funny coincidence when finding out her family member came from the same place we are from. Also that when asking why we came all the way to London from Arbroath, Scotland to here as this trip was for my birthday which was two months ago. Not expecting her to go out of her way to get the kitchen staff to make me something special because of this it made for an even better end to my birthday trip. Thank you Joanna and the other staff who are also really amazing Highly recommend for people who are near to Russell Square or are further a field to come give this place a try you won’t regret it. It was day of my birthday .at entrance of this bar one woman of stuff start . she laughed when she saw us and was really rude. I don't recommend anyone to go there Very cold disgusting place

We visited here last week, we were greated by amazing staff who treated us very well and made us feel very welcome 😊, the decor in the reasturant and bar area is outstanding brings modern and classic to life together. We ordered, the sourdough with British butter (it was like a homemade loaf, 2 dry aged beef burgers (with cheese and bacon addition of £2 each). We also ordered the waiter's recommendation of the sticky toffie pudding and also the brownie sundae, In the reasturant we were not charged for the tap water, and the bill came too £86 with 1 coca cola on the bill as well. The service was phenomenal, so thank you to all who looked after us. We then went into the bar for a drink before we left, and we ordered 2 coca colas and some sparkling water and still water (the still water tasted like tap water) but in the bar we were charged for both the eaters at £5.50 each 😳. So our bill was almost £30. Now we move onto how clean the place was it was 5 out of 5 for its cleanliness and the bathrooms were well looked after with amazing products for your hand afterwards.(you can purchase the hand lotion at reception is you wish also) Only managed to take a picture of the burger half way through as it was that good i forgot, the food we bith agreed was the best we ever had. 🥳

Food was good, interesting place. But lousy service. Long waits to take order and get check, sent me to the non-dinner bar area when i specifically said i was looking for food (ten minutes to find out dinner only available in restaurant area). Final annoyance...waitress asked me if I wanted still or sparkling water. Chose still, not thinking they would charge me 5 pounds for it. Took maybe five sips of it. When i mentioned it (after long delay to take my check), she didn't remove the charge. Don't recommend.

Searching for upscale drinks & dining options near Russell Sqare walked across street to find Fitz;s. Interaction with initial wait Maitre'D - offered options a drink in bar or lounge in entertainment. All staff in bar 7 restaurant were top notch. Service was smooth and professional. De hoge school van Cocktails met een beleving. Op Instagram foto’s gezien; de werkelijkheid is zeker zo mooi. Klassieke cocktails maar er is ook een bijzonder menu. Op basis van je kleur kies je een cocktail en met een blacklight wordt een extra toelichting leesbaar. De bediening is erg attent, de barman erg virtuoos. Tussen het bestellen van wat bites en voordat die werden geserveerd zat wel vrij lang. Maar dat doet niets af aan deze bijzondere plek!!!

I stayed at the hotel and saw good reviews for this bar, so I decided to stop by with a friend for some drinks. The setting is very nice and feels cozy. Their "thing" is the Theory of Colour drinks, which is pretty fun to go through - they give you a booklet of the drinks and a small blacklight to use so you can read the drinks names and descriptions. The drinks themselves are okay; it may have been the drinks I chose, but they taste a bit too sweet for me and very light on alcohol. Unfortunately they are unmemorable for me. Service here is fine, but a bit green and unpolished, especially when compared to the rest of the hotel. For example, I waited at the front for awhile but no one was at the host stand, so I thought I could just enter. I walked up to the bar and told someone there I had a reservation and she rather brusquely said yes, if you go back to the host stand we can serve you there. Okay, well...there was no one there that's why I came to the bar! Overall, I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to visit, but if you're staying at the hotel it's a fine option.

Leo… where do I begin.. truly one of the most exceptional bartenders I’ve ever encountered. I’ve been in the hospitality industry as well as sales for many years coming from Chicago IL and this man didn’t miss the mark. One of the most intentional humans paired with some of the most extraordinary cocktails I’ve ever indulged. 12/10 would recommend.

One star because I had to! I booked a table 4 months ago for 3.30pm for special birthday cocktails before an early dinner & theatre. The bar wasn’t even open!!! Staff were at a loss about our booking & kept saying they were closed till 5pm! They’d accepted my booking 4 months ago & hadn’t even noticed that they’d be closed!? Appalling, embarrassing & disappointed as it was part of special birthday celebrations. Our day was spoilt due to the extra time & effort getting there & then having to find somewhere else.

It was quiet on our visit on Sunday afternoon and we'll visit again at a busier time to gain the full experience. I loved the decor and could see that this would be a perfect venue for a private party with the mirror ball already there! The area under the mirror ball would make the perfect spot for the dancefloor with the central chair removed. Staff were lovely. I'm not so keen on the crunchy bar snacks however. These are the same as those served in The Savoy and I ate them out of habit more than the fact that they were yummy.

I visited while waiting for my booking at the adjacent restaurant in the hotel. Friendly and attentive staff, pleasant surroundings. I'd visit again.

Me and my friends booked at table for the 18th March from 21:30 to 00:30. There was a minimal charge of £50 per head. Based on the cost of their drinks, you would be expected to drink 1 to 2 cocktails per hour to hit that target. However, this was quite difficult as the staff was relatively slow with the drinks. In the end, when we realized that we need to spend a bit more, they advised us that it was not possible as the bar is already closed. One of the male staff told us that it was our fault as the minimum spend was clearly stated in our reservation. I would expect the staff to let us know we need to spend a bit more before the last order, but he was adamant that we were responsible to make sure we spent above the minimum spend. It feels like they did it on purpose to not do as much work, as we have to pay the same amount anyway. Waiting staff was generally nice until the bar closes. The whole experience feels a bit like a tourist trap and a scam. At the end, we were forced to buy a few bottles of wine to take away.

We have been going to this bar for years, which has always been a pleasant experience. Today, 8th of March, there was a male host who seemed hassled seeing customers, particularly in an empty bar. When he returned, he placed us at an awkward table, and when I pointed out that the seating area was practically empty, he raised his voice, saying that he was expecting a party of eight in a space that could accommodate fifty. That was quite an experience I have not encountered at any venue, let alone at a five-star hotel bar we visit often. I did not want to engage further as he may have some problems; that was not normal behaviour. Nevertheless, this reflects poorly at the bar and the hotel, and we will not be returning. Five stars hotels offer top customer service, but instead, we saw a lack of class and common manners.

Beautiful place and lovely ambience. I really loved the concept of the menu and the way it makes you interact with their concept. Cocktails are delicious, but lack in presentation, as the concept of the menu builds some expectations. Definitely, it is a place to visit.

I visited this bar without a booking while in London doing hotel reviews recently. It was around 4.00 pm on a Saturday afternoon, and when we walked into the lovely hotel, Kris who was on duty outside the bar seated us immediately and without any issues. The service from the moment we stepped through the doors into the Mural Bar was exemplary, and the menu/drinks were unique and delicious. While we could only stay for a short amount of time due to other commitments, the atmosphere was so lovely that I didn't want to leave! On the back of the service and experience that we received during that short period, I have recommended a full review of the hotel to my client who deals with luxury itineraries for travellers, and we will be going back in 2023 to experience all that the hotel has to offer. We did not have time to explore the public areas of the hotel during our quick visit, but the building itself is extraordinary in terms of design. I am really looking forward to my stay next year!

Nice decor, sending you back in time. Prompt and amicable service. We ordered champagne. Nice background music. We were early so there wasn't a lot of action. One negative point is the wine list is very limited.

We stayed at The Fitzroy and were beyond delighted to have Fitz’s where we stayed! This lounge and bar was beyond our expectations and we had the best time ever!!! The service was incredible and they did everything to make us feel welcome and having a great time. The manager, Chris, was so accommodating and personable and made our visit so much fun every single time. Regina made our visit so incredible and memorable. We truly enjoyed her, her sweet personality, and she made every effort to make our experience top notch and beyond our expectations. Regina is a gem!!! Do yourself a favor and visit here!!!

We decided to go to Fitz for drinks with some friends and we had a really great time, the atmosphere was really nice with the live music going on. Great mention also for our waiter Andrei and the hostess who was attentive and very helpful in recommending our cocktails.
