Order turned up late. When ordered it said delivery between 19.05-19.25 but it never arrived. Check the site to see the order just kept being pushed back and finally arrived at 20.14. Called shop but they said no delivery drivers were there.

Chicken nuggets were undercooked and cold in the centre. Chips tasted odd but were edible.

But had to spend several minutes entering a code never had to do this before so will think again about ordering through just way 🥵

No issue with resturant, just eat never delivered our food and claimed it was delivered.

The only thing that has disappointed me is I got 1 Salt and 1 vinegar. I’d say that’s slightly stingy for a £38.00 order

Food wasn’t its usual piping hot temperature, maybe due to length of time it took to arrive. Originally it was going to take over an hour but it was a little quicker than that but not as quick as it usually is

Shocking food. Tiny portions. Under cooked fish. Not impressed.

No stars for anything! Below average food, below average atmosphere and well below zero for customer service. £9.50 for two portions of chips when after payment you notice on the display screens that on a Monday you can get 4 portions of chips with 4 sausages for £9.99 deal. If only the server were to point that out before taking payment! These two portions of Gold plated chips were supposed to be "a couple of minutes" over twenty minutes later and lots of shouting across the premises regarding working hours to each other and what appeared to be an off duty colleague, absolutely zero communication to any of their customers. Looks like the margins have been increased again by taking out any management from the premises! Do yourself a favour and find somewhere else.

Fantastic quality food and quick delivery!

Plaice and chips which was again first class. Fish cooked so it was moist and crispy batter. Been consistently good over a number of weeks and will be returning for more soon.

The food isn’t what we asked for, asked for salted chips and received unsalted, asked for a Fanta fruit twist haven’t received that and finally asked for curry sauce that was in the bag upside down and the lid had come off so that’s wasted too

I have had to go back to the shop a few times now because each time there is something missing from our order luckily we don’t live far, but getting sick and tired of this now so may change to a different place

Had fish and chips and it wss awful really greasy and fish batter was really doughy. The box it is in is very greasy. I have never had this before was very disappointed as its not cheap and was looking forward yo my dinner

Food is really tasty and freshly cooked. Slightly more expensive than other outlets and portions can be on the small side depending on who serves you.

traffic was terrible however I didn't need to wait to much longer and the delivery driver was very apologetic. Food was great!

Food not of usual quality on this order

Spent nearly £50 here. If you want tiny portions, dried out stale chicken, awful chips, mushy cod with soggy batter and surly staff then this is the place for you. It mostly all went in the bin. Never returning. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Please fire or at least do not send this driver to my place again. I've had issue with him in the past were he didn't bring change and expected a near £5 tip instead. Today he smiled at me as he delivered the food and when I looked into the bag the box had been opened and the food was loose inside as well as stone cold.

I’ve marked this as missed off my main which was scampi. I rang up and the answer was either get a refund or drive to pick it up ? Great sort of defeats me getting a takeaway ? Where has this countries customer service gone ! Not happy

Delicious and freshly cooked to perfection.

Had 1/2 roast chicken and chips for the first time in ages from potter street. The chicken tasted 2 days old and the portion of chips was tiny. After my review, I was contacted by their Customer Service department. They were happy to listen to, and take my points on board. A good outcome.

Really disappointed before we went on holiday we bought various takeaways one being medium cod and chips from Fish n Chicken in Potter Street which cost £18 approx ......well to say it was the smallest cod I have ever seen with a tiny amount of chips was astounding! I mean...really? This place is now a total rip off I am discouraging anyone I know from buying here now as I would rather buy from the food shop at Staple Tye who give decent portions and aren't ripping you off I really think that this business owner is creaming it in from locals and its disgusting

Unfortunately the prices have risen and the portions are getting smaller . Ordered plaice and scampi . Whilst the scampi wasn’t too bad the plaice was all batter with very small amount of fish . Chips could be better as well as they had a lot of black markings on them . This shop used to be better and needs improvement along with friendlier staff

Went down a brought fish and chips yesterday and fish goujons and a tub of mushy peas, never again, peas were only just warm which isn't a problem coz I just popped em in the microwave, £6.40 for a medium cod without chips, price wasn't an issue but when I cut into it it was hollow in the middle so £6.40 for a lump of batter, goujons were as bland as anything, no taste at all, only went there because Tommy tuckers was closed!!! Won't ever be going back to Potter Street again, tuckers is the best by far, get a lump of fish and a ton of chips for the same price there🤬

Fantastic fish n chips, the chicken burger is banging !

If I want fish and chips for dinner or even just a portion of chips then this is my go to shop. Had sausage in batter and chips the other day and it tasted delicious. They never let me down.

Ordered medium more like a small

I paid for curry sauce and did not receive it and have been calling the restaurant several times but no answer and no one to contact

Placed order on the app, got collection Time. Then waited 50 mins, saw told 2 mins, 5 mins, 10 mins on so it went on. If you use Just Eat they are waiting up to 15 mins, so do jot blame the driver. Its a shame as the food is nice. However the service by young kids is very poor

Second time we’ve ordered from here and it’s not been great, items missing and delivery was late

Went in yesterday ordered the meal deal 3 pieces of sf chicken with free chips I wanted 2 of the same deal so 6 pieces of chicken 2 free chips Order taken all good Got home had 5 pieces of sf chicken 2 of which were legs Surely if there wasn't enough chicken I should have been told I paid for 6 pieces Love this chippy normally 100% satisfied chips are stunning

The time that I have been waiting. I could have driven to the coast and court a fish driven home and cook it . Instead of watching the fish I had ordered be cooked and placed in the cabinet then into delivery bags. Placed order at 17.20 didn't get the order till 17.45. I did ask twice how long it was going to be to be told that it will be coming soon. PS the fish wasn't that great

Always a bit hit and miss with this place, but tonight’s order was off the scale with poor quality. Advertised “freshly cooked” onion rings were dripping in grease, so clearly warmed up, or left festering - threw the lot in the bin. Large Cod was small at best and sized for a child’s portion, and definitely not freshly cooked. Not going to ask for any money back - just had enough of overpriced food that’s seriously sub standard for the price point, so won’t be entairtaing any more….. have givven

Used to be our " go to" chippy, recently not so good, portion sizes have shrunk, prices have increased (expected in credit crunch) but quality has dropped also.... shame

Ordered the 4 sausage bundle and 2 pieces of chicken. The food arrived early, which was great, but it absolutely stunk. Spelt of really old cooking oil. The taste of cooking oil was so over powering we had to throw it away. Shame as we love Fish N Chickn. But this was just awful!

This is the 2nd time I have ordered a small cod and a medium cod but its hard to tell which one is which because they bith look the same size!!! Next time I will just order 2 small cod and chips and save myself £3 each way! Chips were delicious and fresh as usual, which is why we use this venue.

Food is traditional English fish and chips 🍟 😋, I said little bit overpriced. But good Friday meal to not sit in kitchen. Friendly stuff, and quick takeaway order collection.

Arrived late and wasn’t Hot enough to eat.

I rated 5 star before this has been my favourite since i was a kid but ive just grabbed a battered sausage and chips a d paid just under 7 quid .. and the standard is gone! food was disgusting chips look dirty, batter is gross and barly cooked and its a shame as ive come for over 20 years !

Food was lovely - great sized portions. My only criticism is that the tartar sauce which I had ordered and paid for, wasn’t delivered.

I have yet to have bad food from either here or the restaurant at The Stow. It is class! Beautiful moist half chicken, top drawer curry sauce and the chips that almost melt in your mouth, they are so soft and fluffy.

Food was not edible what some ever. Ordered food at 16:48 after calling restaurant twice I then went and picked up my order at 6:45!! The food was stone cold and as if it had been sitting there since the time I ordered! I want a full refund on this order and I will not be ordering from here again

The order took 1.5 hours from when I ordered. I normally order online using the shops online ordering system but thought I would use Just Eat as I haven’t used for some time. I have ordered many y times using the shops online booking and food always arrives in around half an hour. When it arrived it was also cold PLUS I have been charged £25 instead of the £15 on the Just Eat App. Please advise

Food was great as usual, shame the delivery bike rider doodled with the delivery ery and sat several minutes outside my property. Asked him to pedal the bike not walk beside it cos he was slow

23rd October 2023. My partner asked for LG portion of chips. I live very close to this chip shop. The large portion of chips priced at £4.45 was the same size as a small portion at £3.75. The food is overpriced and the waiting is long from what I saw as the staff lacking in many ways of customer service.... This so called large portion was not enough to feed two grown adults. Overall experience, very dissatisfied. Should report to trading standards. This is robbery to the people on low incomes.........

Walked in here as it is my local Fish and Chip shop wanting to have some fish and chips tonight, but after 5 - 10 minutes of all 3 visible members of staff acting like they couldn't see me (the only member of the public stood inside wanting to order) I walked out. Other people outside arriving at the collection point during this time were however being acknowledged, so either it is not possible to order inside, or the staff are just plain rude.

Food was very very salty, I asked for salt but didn’t think they would put that much on!
