Fish Stop in Bexley

Ordered large Cod, but was really small, Disappointed.

What can I say? So glad we found Fish Stop when we moved here. Never disappoints, always high quality and piping hot.

Delicious! This is exactly what we were craving, it hit the spot👌🏼. Crispy golden batter, most definitely the best in the game!

Good quality food as usual. Regular fish is a very good size and the burger was lovely as always. Pre-ordered for 19.45 but arrived at 20.10. Not a problem really and it’s not the shops fault I’m sure.

Lovely bit of fish and chips, freshly cooked, nice fish with light batter. Sadly there don't seem to be that many dine in fish n chip places left, so dining in made a nice change from takeaway fish n chips.

Lovely food as always just a shame it was slightly cold by the time it arrived. First time in fairness 🤷🏻‍♀️ so will still order from them again as the quality is always good!

This was our first time ordering from here. Delicious food, generous portions and excellent customer service. They realised they’d forgotten to put a sausage in batter in the bag so called me up and then personally delivered it. We will defo be back

Could not eat pie as solid burnt

Piping hot as usual, fish was so crispy on the outside, soft and flaky inside. The chips were done to perfection, fluffy inside and crispy outside. Fish Stop never disappoints.

The restaurant forgot an item to our order and rung to say that they would drop it off to our address which was great and the item came very quickly and was apologetic we will order again.

Went in there today ordered battered sausage and chips and the guy behind the counter glared at me, asked if I wanted to sit in which I yes please then proceeded to put the food in the paper instead of plate. Very strange guy. The service needs to improve drastically otherwise I will stop coming here. The older guy needs to crack a smile also otherwise it may never happen.

Sorry to say we have been disappointed with our last 2 lots of food. We found the chips quite hard and pale in colour. Our burgers were a bit burnt and the fish wasn't as nice as usual.

Hot, fresh and generous portions

you get a big amount for a regular chips .. they taste delicious and hot never receive them cold .. the burgers are so yummy. would highly recommend this chippy..also is cooked from fresh .

Probably the most expensive fish and chips I've had my jaw nearly hit the floor when told the price, and by far not one of the best the fish was greesey and no flavour and the chips well enough said, there's a lovely fish and chip by morrisons just a shame it's not open Sunday, first and last time

The fish was nice, but the chips portion was smaller than any small I've ever had (and I had ordered a large). Also the 'battered roll' is actually a buttered roll and it shows as a spring roll of some sort on the menu. A bit disappointed overall 😔

Highly recommend takeaway fish and chips. Both are tasty and delicious with decent portion sizes. Also at a good price. Excellent service. Especially like that they are packed in a paper bag.

Unfortunately my son and I ordered sausage and batter and chips via just eat driver arrived and left. No sauces in bag. So just a small portion of chips between us. The restaurant said they put the sausages in bag. So either I'm lying or u er eats driver is a thief. The bag was tied up. First time using them. Certainly won't be again

I ordered me and my son battered sausage and chips each. Only 1 portion of chips arrived no sausages. So all we had for dinner was a portion of chips between us. Spoke to the restaurant and they said the sausages were in the bag and that they must of gone missing in transit.

Best fish and chips I have had in years! Gave it a try because of the reviews and so glad I did. Fish (cod) was incredible quality and beautifully cooked. Everything was hot, fresh and no dreaded ‘sog’ in sight. Yum!

Fish was nice but expected more chips for a £5.80, not what I would have called a large chips compared to other chip shops.I can only afford one takeaway a month so it needs to count! Won’t be ordering again.

We have been using this Fish and Chip Shop for years, but Ithought it was time to update our review. Well, if anything it's better than ever. As prices have risen Fish Stop has remained reasonably priced and the quality has remained amazing. Their chips and batter are delicious. The staff are brilliant, always friendly and never without a smile. I can't sing their praises highly enough. If you're local, don't go anywhere else, if you're further afield, it's worth a trip to eat in.

I was visiting the Bexley area to do a radio broadcast and needed to get something to eat before we went on air. This fish and chip shop was great. The fish and chips were delicious, the portion size was great and the staff were friendly. What I really appreciated as well is that the batter didn't give me an upset stomach as some of the batter that other fish and chip shops use has a tendency to do this. The batter at this shop was perfect though. If you're in the Danson Park area and need somewhere that's a safe option for a decent meal go here. You won't be disappointed!

This time round was realy disappointed and unhappy all together with everything. The cod came soggy all ripped soaked with oil inside and chips were oily. Bad experience this time

Great service and food. Never had something I ordered and shop called me to replace items and was very helpful. Delivery was on time and chucked in a little free item apologising for the inconvenience. Will be ordering again!

Hot, crispy and tasty as usual. Fish Stop never disappoints. We recently tried to order and a pop up in Just Eat stated they no longer delivered to our area. We were so disappointed, tried other fish and chip takeaways but couldn't find one to compare. So pleased they deliver in our area again.

Food is normally great, not tonight! Dry chicken and pie and chips were pretty rough too.

This is a first class fish and chip shop. The owner and the young lady serving were very friendly and welcoming. I used this establishment as I was in the area for a football match, Welling United v. Slough Town. The owner was chatting along to us and even wished my team got a good result!! I ordered a regular portion of chips along with 2 fish cakes. They were both cooked fresh, with a small wait of 4-5minutes. I had plenty of time so it didn’t matter to me. The chips were excellent, all good sizes and cooked to perfection. The breadcrumb coating on my fish cakes were also spot on, just enough crunch before they would be classed as overcooked. The cost was £6.50 which I think is a very fair price. You can also eat in as they have plenty of tables and seats. I would highly recommend a visit to Fish Stop if you’ve never been.

Vile….. tasted awful clearly used old oil for the chips … battered sausage was not cooked all the way through took one bite and binned it …. Unfortunately I was just passing through not from the area and was miles away by the time I eat It… avoid

Need to read carefully what is ordered guys. A battered sausage is NOT a saveloy! Check the order before sending it next time. Very disappointed as I hate a sausage in batter.

I have been using fish stop for a while now & the food has always been good but on this occasion the fish was over cooked and was no thicker than a fish finger & the chips must have been sitting around for some time very disappointed spoiled my meal
