No delivery arrived , refused to give a refund , apparently they don't give refunds if driver does not turn up when ordering from their website , the manager never called , the workers " just work there, "

I went in the shop first time and ordered cod n chips and a half pounder.. It was really good burger lovely and the fish wash well cooked and delicious.. Week later I've just ordered cod chips again and skate and chips.. The so called cod was pollack or coalfish certainly wasn't cod, the skate was tough and strong smelling plus the chips were hard mostly... £26..and had to throw it away... Being disabled couldn't get there to take back.. Never again.... What an absolute joke

Lovely freshly cooked chips and sausages in batter. Really enjoyed take away. Food was cooked there and then, was worth the short wait in the shop for perfect chips. Will definitely use again. Not often, you don't get given chips that have sat in oil for a while. Took home and enjoyed our meal.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant they started a new menu which includes South Indian cuisine especially Kerala style.Traditional Kerala tastes. Beef and Cassava were outstanding. The Chicken Kondattam was a highlight,Highly recommended! And we tried Botty also its good.

The guy called shaju or shabu there, seemingly the owner has no manners or hyginene. First thing he is asking customers is there visa status? "Are you student or dependant ", when asking his options about food he seems frustrated to share, never seen an arrogant and irrigating guy serving in a shop, when the customer leave the shop he makes jokes about them and laughing with his fellow staff members. Poor hyginene and good for nothing food, I only went to this shop thinking it was a turkish shop. Typicall mallu myran.

Terrible service avoid if you can at all cost absolute rip off

Worst food I've had in a long time, paid 37 pounds for dog food basically! Chips were awful, meat was tasteless, salad was off seriously save your money and go else where.

Worst doner you could ever have, old, cold! I got sick after just tasting the food.

The chips got delivered and they were way over cooker they were black with green stuff coming out of them I can’t even describe how disgusting this is

Yesterday I bought 4 chicken doner wraps from their and also lamb shish kebab and doner.also 4 large chips.All the things are very fresh and delicious.all about I payed 40 pound plus they give me a large coke and that was pretty good

Avoid like the plague! We ordered from them last week after they sent out leaflets with competitive pricing compared to our local. The meal itself was 'ok'. Chips were soggy but the fish was nicely cooked. However, we noticed after that they had charged exactly £10 more than they were supposed to. When we complained, they said that their prices had gone up and the extra had to cover delivery charges. This is despite the fact that they were advertising free delivery and the price list was posted merely days before. Not a good look when you're trying to get new customers and the first thing you do it try to steal from them.

I bought fish & chips 2 weeks ago and it was awful. I paid alot of money and the tast was horrible. The batter is not the same as i bought before and not cooked properly - burnt. Also, I bought kebab and that too tasted awful. There was no taste in it at all and it was a bit raw. A new owner has taken over and the service and food has gone down hill. It use to have nice fish & chips - very disappointing- will not recommend or buy from here anymore.

This place was abit better a couple years back but food is fresh, friendly staff, cheaper, clean, good portion size, great taste and has more options unlike other places around the Carshalton area.

Fresh kebab, good portion of salad and sauce. Our local and very tasty. Recommend!

Myself and my son Kieran go to this fish shop most days and their food is delicious, their chips are some of the best in Crawley. Would definitely recommend to anyone, the owners are also very lovely people.

Not the best. I asked for a 6pm delivery and got 5.15pm!! I could of got the same meal in West Sussex for less than £16! Also l, not very hot..

I ordered food through just eat. The food never arrived, I tried to ring and the numbers where not going through. They then set the restaurant status to closed on just eat. So they confirmed my order, took my money and never delivered the food. If youre hungry avoid at all cost, you'll be out of pocket with no dinner.

Just had a delicious freshly roasted chicken at fish r us and definitely the best I've had so far😁so yummy! Go give it a try!! Highly recommend! Presentation on point!

I ordered OAP COD and chips for my family, turns out they don't do that and only give SEA BASS and chips for OAP, which is not on the menu nor was I ever told about this. When I went in to complain the manager Bruno was extremely rude and defensive and tried to shame me for buying the OAP "cod". Horrible service, terrible management and staff, hygiene seems to be well below par. Would advise avoiding this awful place to everyone

Med cod was lightly battered & cooked perfectly. Chips freshly cooked too. My husband had the chicken shish kebab & he was very pleased with the taste & with the presentation. Very friendly service. Would definitely recommend Fish R Us! 👍🏼

Update: My previous review for FishRUs was 7 years ago. I have recently ordered some fish and chips from this place via Justeat and they have done it again. The Portion sizes were massive even though my order was for a medium Cod, the pack had something I have only seem from other shops as a Large. The fries were also a lot. But most of all, the taste and flavour was still as amazing as I had previously experienced. Well done FishRUs. You still rock. Excellent service, big portions and tasty fish and chips. They also do delivery in the afternoon.

I and my wife bought fish and chips from here today. We were unable to finish the whole part, before that we had nausea. On the way before reaching our home my wife was complaining of stomach upset and had diarrhoea. When we returned home both of us had again abdominal pain and diarrhoea. We were tired of going to the toilet untill 12' O clock midnight.

Fish and chips are good very tasty and will allway order fish r us . The workers are hard working and polite will listen and fair honest how there food is severd. Lovely food

I went to eat in. The fish and chips took a while as it was cooked fresh. The fish was large and tasty and the chips perfect. Even had salad which was a nice surprise . So not sure what everyone is on about in their reviews. Maybe better to eat in.

regular customer at this place.....just phoned an order in.......three different costs for the same order depending on which site you order from or order on the phone ?????? got nowhere explaining this on the phone....women still insisted it would be 25.00 because I,m ordering on the phone instead of 22.50 on the net, cancelled order ??? Will never use this place again.

Not the same quality and service as it used to be. Fish was very dry and overcooked and batter soggy.

I ordered fish, chips and sausages this evening when it arrived the sausage was broken in half and disgusting the chips were cold and my fish was all dry. I called the shop to complain, the lady that I spoke to was quite rude and ask me what I wanted her to do aboutit? I have been using this shop for many years but will not be going back. There seems to be new staff in there that are quite rude and not at all friendly.

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. I was hungry and looking forward to fish and chips all day. Went to Fish R Us and on my life the worse Chips I jad probably every tasted - they had obviously been sitting there a long while. (should be illegal to sell chips like that) the fish itself was hot but spoiled by the oily batter so couldnt really taste the fish itself. I was so dissapointed . Huge dissapointment. Better you skip this and pick anything else open along that route. If I could give half a star I would.

Absolutely disgusting been using fish r us for years place an order take the money confirm the order then send an email saying your order is cancelled after waiting 45 mins to an hour, later get an email saying cancelled because to busy and now got to wait for a refund , your a takeaway restaurant you have to plan to be busy on a Friday ,not take orders take the money then cancel it via email ,not even a phone call even when you have our number

Just spent £6 on the worst ribs I've ever had. I'm guessing Fish R Us are under new management because I've had ribs before from here ( awhile ago ) and they were lovely . Now heated ribs in a microwave with no flavour at all just BBQ sauce squirted on them . They used to be flavoured really nicely and cooked well crispy in parts . Now very fatty lots you can't eat . Also wonder what rib of an animal it came from . Disgusting maybe the fish and chips are nice but beware DONT HAVE RIBS FROM HERE

Good portions, decent price and mostly tasty. Try chicken and lamb skewers, hamburger, chicken doner. Fish and chips are decent as well. They could provide better sauces ( garlic, mayo). I don't eat sauces but some do.

The fish is very nice and I would strongly recommend going there.

Stale chips, I asked for viniger and salt yet it was so little put on there it was pointless.

Ordered 3 jacket potatoes via ubereats. They got the order wrong but made up for it. Staff is not the most welcoming but they were kind in acknowledging their mistake. Problem is none of the staff wore face covering or gloves. Seems crazy with all that is going on

all this started what is for dinner every one was trying to think something to do so i come up with fish & chips so i call fish r us let me tell u how good was the fish it wax the top 5 stars last min delivery on time well do the guys there and also well done to driver mario great service all done every one best fish chips i will be ordering from u guys from now on

I bought fish and chips from this place Last week Friday. It was the worst ever The chips was so disgusting Looks like I have but was left at the bottom an it was cold . All I wanted with fish-and-chips not fish and crumbs. Looks like they putting profit before customer care

Corn on the cob was cold, chewy and tasteless, mushy peas were cold, watery and tasteless, fish was fine but the batter was soggy and underdone. Delivery was incredibly fast, which says to me they just didn't cook the food for long enough. Will not order again

Brilliant value and quality food

Not the same quality s I remember a few years ago. Fish batter undercooked inside and cod fish had odd ammonia taste, batter underdone. Chips not crispy. Apart from that modern refurbishment looks good

Food is very low quality not fresh and it come 20 min early and still come cold ..went straight in the bin after they said wont refund me. But I will get refunded through just eat Please dont order from here staff are very rude too and didn't care that I said will put thisnreviee up just shows you how much care goes into the food

Used to be good this place, recently very poor, pukka pies heated in the microwave, I could do that myself, payed for large chips and arrive home to find just enough bearly for one, ribs are incinerated, used to be lovely there!! and serve up stone cold curry sauce. When i rang to complain, I spoke to a bloke who really couldn't care less, unfortunately they don't realise that successful businesses rely on repeat customers and if you under value your customers by giving poor service and poor food you will end up with no business. Well done Fish R Us you've lost another customer!!!!

I have purchased take away fish and chips here several times. Service is always quick and friendly. The chips are great but the fish batter can be a bit soggy - possibly due to being in a plastic take away bag.

My wife ordered food from the website for delivery around the time I got home from work. As I pulled up and got out of my car I saw someone with a white helmet on standing a corner outside of our flats having a piss on the grass. He then finished and went to get on his delivery bike. When I got upstairs I asked the wife if our food had been delivered and she said "literally, just". We have kids and there are a lot of local kids in the area who could of seen this, disgusting! Then I thought, hang on this man touches our food for delivery and its obvious he had no where to wash his hands. We phoned the shop to let them know how their staff acted. Upon opening our food the saveloys were solid, very overcooked. We broke them in half and it actually makes me feel sick looking at it (We have pictures). We called the shop and complained, they said they would send more saveloys to replace these and we requested that the same driver was not sent due to hygiene. Opening the rest of the food the sausage in batter was cold and pale in colour, so we decided to return it all which was agreed by the shop. 10 minutes later the same driver arrived and I went to hand him back the food we had and he kept saying "Not my problem", then turned around and left. He was extremely rude and arrogant. I phoned the shop to tell them about this and it was agreed I would bring the food back to the shop for a refund. I showed them the food upon arrival and they agreed the saveloys were not edible. I will not use this place again, the food was horrible, the driver was disgusting and the customer service was non existent on an issue created by their workers.

Really clean and friendly shop. They hade eat in facilities abs toilets as well. Good prices and plenty of variety. Never had bad experience or food from here. They also do deliveries.

The fish was cold and so tough I couldn’t eat it. The chips were stone cold too. I went to the shop so it didn’t have to travel and get cold on the way.

I have always been a firm and stubborn believer that kebab place should stay with kebabs and burgers and pizza places should stay serving only pizzas same for a chip shop serving kebabs but then I came in with my boys and sat down in the restaurant and we all have kebab meat and chips now I know the chips here are very good and not oily at all but as for the kebab part it's a really good kebab not running with fat in it and I thought it was one of the best kebabs I've had in a long time. So I think 5 stars is worth it and the chilli sauce was great. 👍👍👍👍

The burgers were horrible and cold never will I have any form of a burger.I have ordered from here before and had cod which was really nice but the burgers are a let down big time.

I haven’t been here for awhile but I will definitely make this a regular haunt now, with a classic to my childhood days of pea fritters, spam fritters and luscious crispy battered haddock the place and price is great with seating in the back, not to forget the slushies are cool too.

Visited and a staff members was using wash hand basin to rinse saveloy's! The food was left directly in contact with the sink.

We used to order from this retaurant quite often. But it raised the price up and dropped the quality dawn. Potato chips looked so disgusting (not even fried properly- mashy:(:( ) and kebab wrap contained only meat and onion with cheapest mayonnaise on the side instead mayo- garlic sauce (there was not even smell of garlic and definitely no taste of garlic what so ever). But it was delivered by very posh car. Will not going to waist my time and money with them anymore and strongly recommend to others to do the same.

I placed an order from hungryhouse last Night, and the driver wasnt able to find My house for the delivery. He called me like ten times, and everytime he went in the wrong Place. After few calls he started ti swearing and insulting me. I can only Say , dont do deliveries if you're not able to find a Place in the Middle of the Road. I received hundreds of deliveries and that rude driver was the only One Who couldn't understand My istructions. Customer service 0.

Used to be the best in the area and we used them every week. Seems they have had a change of chef, and quality has plummeted. Batter on fish was soggy and under cooked. Chips awful, curry sauce like dishwater, looks like we will have to find somewhere else.
