The owners are incredible and so polite. I regularly came here when I was a child when I lived 30 seconds down the road, Dawley road. Best fish and chips place ever. Must recommend.

I’m impressed, a vast improvement!! The chips aren’t oily nor bruised but simply cooked to perfection. By far the best in comparison to the trash that we get served locally. You’ve nailed it, now work your magic on your curry sauce.

I get my fish and chips form here every friday.for long time.I call & order then pick up fresh cooked fish and chips.

Ok, i respect all food takeaways at this moment being a chef myself.. but when being recommended to this place by good friend, we ordered fish and chip and a kebab. My partner came home and we opened the packaging and started to eat.. i had the kebab, and was so tasty, good amount of salad and the sauce was good, wasnt a normal pitta naan but a open naan bread.. loved it.. however my partner had fish and chips.. and the chips were not cooked at all.. she had maybe 2 bites of the fish. She called the shop and all the lady did was shout back at her saying they never had a complaint before and thats all your doing.. complaining. I saw the Chips and its was so undercooked. So she went back to the shop only to have the lady shout at her and saying she only wants to complain and claim her money back.. considering she brought the whole portion back minus 2/3 bites of the fish. She showed a chip and the lady said maybe its was a bad one, a one off. When she said she returning the fish too incase its undercooked, the lady said no i put the timer on for the fish. Fair enough, the fish could have been cooked, but when they cant cook chips.. why trust the fish! She ended up throwing the cash refund on the counter and shouted at her as she left the store. We were happy with a fresh cooked portion of chips and fish as mistakes happen.. but the anger of the staff by a our complaint was so bad it was not necessary to attack back but to deal with it.. sadly we wont be go back anytime again. Not even for the tasty kebab.

Worst service ever! Chips were completely uncooked took them back straightaway and the lady started shouting at me!! Her excuse I just wanted to complain!!

Just been to this place & I must admit it’s the best by far I’ve had from any chippy local to me. The size of the fish the way it was cooked the chips everything finger licking awesome. I’m so glad I took the trip to the shop which is about 10 mins away from where I live. Thank you & you have my custom for the future most defiantly & the owners are so friendly & welcoming . I will defo recommend this place to all my friends & family. A+++++ Phoned them in advance to place my order as the owner suggested I do this as I have a 10 minute travel to get to them & the owner recognised me from my last visit my order was ready for collection even though I was a bit late. These people have a secret recipe..like kfc Fish is mouthwatering and delicious..and the size of the cod is massive... It’s a bigger size then the weatherspoon(the booking office,The playfair) Fish and beer what else you need in life.

I came in with my friends and family and we ordered 5 portions of chips the mayonnaise carton was not closed and looked very dirty I asked him a little bit of vinegar but he added quite allot when he gave it to us the paper that holds the chips started sticking to the chips I didn’t realize I was eating paper and the shop is very filthy and there was a large amount of meat sitting on the oven it looked old and contaminated like he got it from home . I felt sick so did my cousin she told him what was wrong with the food and the worker slapped her hand and she very upset off the level of disrespect he gave her till the next day I feel sick and I couldn’t go anywhere I’m sorry but this shop needs an inspection

We have been going here occasionally since moved to the area six years ago. When we first came here the food was good and we had no complaints. And in the past two years it has been getting even better. I don't know what has changed, but I would describe the fish and chips as excellent now instead of just good. I also find the owners/staff very polite and helpful. We only go here about once every 2-3 months and yet they seem to recognise us and they know what each of us will order. Definitely recommended.

Firstly the people here are really nice but the place looks litteally vintage and prehistoric and there's a certainly level of untidiness and the doner roll had been there for ages and pies are just litteally deformed but although the food is okay and the only local fish and shop.

Tasty fish and chips here. Bought loads for a farewell function from work. Nicely boxed and presented too. will buy again.
