The food is very greasy it’s really not great but the lady that runs the place is lovely she would always give me food when I was homeless and tbh there was times when that greasy cold saveloy and chips would taste so good so I suppose what I’m saying is that when it’s free and uv eaten nothing all day it’s all good but I wouldn’t pay for it if I had the choice and pls don’t think I’m being ungrateful I’m just being honest if it wasn’t for the fact of how nice the lady is they wouldn’t be getting 3 stars she earns them purely cos she’s a good person not for the food

Fish is not cod savaloy was like chewing paper. I have never seen such a sore piece of fish in my life flat paper thin greasy tastes Iceland reduced section shameful that food is sold like this in 2021 you couldn't pay again to eat out of this establishment

Had sausage in batter and chips with a curry sauce and can say genuinely that this is 1 of the best chip shops I’ve been to and I’ve been to quite a few as I’m a lorry driver, excellent portion of chips and was cooked fresh just for me as it was 10 mins away from closing will definitely be back for more thank you.

Always good portions ,friendly attentive family run and clean .parking out front and eat in available, plenty of seating.

I went here with my partner and son. I had cod and chips which was perfectly cooked. My son had the cod bites and chips which he ate the whole plate. My partner had sausage in batter, chips and curry sauce which he described as spot on. It was fairly priced , the staff and owner are very friendly. Will be going back.
