Best Fish and Chip shop for miles around. Excellent chips. Really like the kebab option and that the salad is served separately so it doesn't steam and go soggy.

The staff was lovely very accommodating. Had cod fish and chips, they were superb. The batter was crispy thin and very tasty highly recommend! Only there mushy peas was a bit too watery, but don’t let this put you off.

Soggy chips stuck together in greasy clods. Batter stuck to the paper when unwrapped. Fish texture hard and tasteless. Worst I've had in twenty years. Why do we put up with this?

Been in here 3 times before today and this is the 4th time I've had rubbish service. Everytime I've been in here before they've always forgotten something. Not even busy.

Bought 2 lots fish and chips . The fish was ok but definitely not cod . The chips were so bad we had to put them in the bin . Not cheap either £ 18.00 . We were with a wedding party and those looking for food that evening , we told them not to bother with the chippy . Their loss . Absolute rubbish.

Had a chicken kebab, overall it was ok but nothing that would make me return. Find it strange there is so much unnecessary plastic usage. What ever happens to fish and chips on paper, why the need for trays, sauces and salads in plastic tubs. Can’t this all be just put into the kebab ?

Worst curry sauce I've ever had. Disappointed as its my first time down here. I've had some rubbish curry sauces in my time but my gosh it was horrendous. Chips were alright I suppose, edible but the sausage and batter was tasteless. Would not go there again and only writing a review to save people time and money.

Really nice crunchy but fluffy chips. If I lived local I would make this my regular chip shop.

Have been here many times and always get the kofte kebab. It is just too good. Staff are always polite even though they have a queue of 15 people always wanting their order. Recommended!

Very decent fish & chips (along with pies, sausages & saveloys). Kebab's also look very tasty. Great for that time you need an emergency meal.

We had the kofte kebab(small) and fish and chips. The fish was very fresh and the kofte was very succulent. The portion size is perfect. The chilli sauce that goes with the kofte is absolutely divine, wish I had more of it. The The staff are friendly and very polite. We will definitely eat here again.

Considering the absolute disaster that was Dave Dove: this shop's predecessor, I was born away but the service and quality of the food here. Don't dismiss it as a simple 'chipper' make a point of treating yourself when your in the area.

We get a takeaway from here every couple of weeks and the quality of the food never fails to impress us. The Chicken Kebabs are amazing and my Partner and her children say that the fish and saussages are very good too. I just wish they did Donor kebabs as I am a donor fan. We tend to telephone the order ahead as they can get busy and the wait is usually only 20 minutes at most ample time to get in the car and drive over to Lingfield. The staff are friendlly too and enjoy a bit of banter. I am not the least interested or put off by lack of Socialist Distancing in the que nor by the fact that sometimes the staff are not wearing masks in fact in a refreshing change to go into a place like this and see some common sense again instead of the mortal paranoia of the local Coronaphobes. I would eat here daily if my waistline would allow me.

Cold food and even cold curry sauce

Dreadful! Not only did they get my order completely wrong to top it off the worst chips I’ve ever had! They must of been cooked yesterday, soggy luke warm disgusting. The battered sausage was dry and obviously been hanging around awhile. This was a Saturday night so i would of thought things would have been fresh! Avoid avoid!

Fuming. Went in about mid day and asked for large chips which was 2.80 he wrapped them up and put in a bag for me after salt and vinegar, I walked across the road to my waiting vehicle as we left I opened them, only to find some were hotter than others and mostly were just warm, they tasted a bit rubbery, then it dawned on me he must have given me the left over chips from the previous day and just served them from the keep hot section without even putting them back in for a quick fry to heat them properly. Totally unimpressed. So beware don’t buy just after they open as you can bet you Will not get fresh ones cooked until they have finished the old ones. I could not go back as we were on our way to the motorway and in a hurry. Thanks for wasting my money and time.

Great kebab and salad, tasty chips, would definitely recommend

not bad but not great - the fish is cooked in advance so dries out while it waits to be purchased, so the cod was a little dry and the batter not as crispy as would like. Chips were good.

The food and service at Lingfield Fish &Chips was absolutely amazing. Would strongly recommend the food and customer services here. Looking forward to my next visit.

Staff not wearing a mask, serving a customer leaning on and over the counter and food preparation area also without a mask. Chatting away with no concern for the spread of COVID in this difficult time. I didn't go in and took my business elsewhere. I did however call the shop and advise them that they were losing customers through risking their health and spread of COVID. Hopefully they take notice, because last few times I went here the food was good, but it's just not worth the risk.

Still great food and the guys are really great, BUT not enough face coverings on customers. No covering, wait outside.

The kebabs are good. Fish nice but frozen chips from a fish and chip shop really lets this pace down! Come on put the effort in but the proper equipment and do it properly! The chicken burger is also very good btw.

Sausages taste of fish, salad is supplied in small plastic bowls with no choice of content, no onions available if you order a burger and a chicken burger is a tiny processed piece of chicken. It's local so we use it now and then but we do so knowing the shortfalls.

Best grilled meats in the area. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended. The fish and chips is great to. This place is always rammed which is a testimony to how good it is. Love it.

Very nice fish and chips, and a friendly crowd who run it. Quick service too. Very busy on Friday nights, and they only take cash, no cards.

Asked for fresh chips and were told they were cooked 10 mins ago. Waited further 10 min for fish and refused the 20min old chips. Also who heard of a kebab shop with no fresh chillies.

My husband & I really like the quality of the food at Lingfield Traditional Fish & Chips. The staff are always polite when ordering over the phone & we always receive excellent service in the shop too. They have come to know us & always ask how my health is when my husband collects our Friday treat. They certainly value their loyal customers & go above & beyond to accommodate my mobility needs even when the shop is heaving. Thank you, for your quality food & quality service.
