Fish & Chip in Great Yarmouth

Looking at the place from the outside looked appealing unfortunately that was a big misjudgement. For 2 cod and chips (medium) mushy peas and curry sauce and the Ketchup small sachets were 50p! Nothing came included, which really should have eg sauces The meal itself was a big letdown, even batter. The cod had no taste, and when the I paid for the meal there is a charge for seating which is not explained Staff couldn't even smile and customer service was a zero. This was my first visit and my last

3 of us had cod and chips. Food was quite nice, but with a drink each added, it was expensive for the small piece of cod we got. We ordered 2 medium and 1 small cod but to be honest there was absolutely no difference in the sizes. Chips were nice and crispy however. We sat outside as we had a dog with us and it needed a really good clean. There were chips all over the floor, salt and vinegar all over the tables with batter and chip pieces everywhere.

If it wasn't for next door I'd worry about the trade FCAM would actually receive. There are a lot of choices for the same in the area and I would suspect this outlet trades on its location only.

The most tasteless fish we have ever eaten. Thin, pathetic size fish fillet size and over cooked - not to mention over priced! Definitely will not go back again! There are much better along the seafront!

No idea why we settled on this place but wish we didn't. Stepped inside to what appeared to be a restaurant however there was no assistance as to what to do in terms of do you just sit down and be served or go up and get your own food, instead the 2 girls that were there were just busy talking amongst the other staff behind the counter anyway went up and got the food myself. Shocked at the price I looked at the receipt to see that they charged £2.20 for a bottle of Coke Zero and 10% Eat In Fee (£1.32) which was not displayed anywhere!! To make matters worse we asked for some ketchup and was told 40p for one or 3 for £1, obviously 3 made sense in the grand scheme of things and these turned out to be small little sachet type things. The saveloy was soggy and had no flavour and the battered sausage was a sorry looking state of affairs, the vinegar had no taste to it and had to keep putting it on just because you had to. The chips were about the best thing there and to be honest I doubt you can mess them up anyway, £15.50 for 2 people, a joke when in London you can get better for cheaper In all this place clearly caters to scam holidaymakers/tourists knowing full well that they will never return something that we will never ever do.

Disgusting chips, watered down vinegar didn't help make them taste any better. Watered down so much it had no taste of vinegar whatsoever Dirty tables too

Kids meal in a bucket hence the two stars as that was a bonus but this is honestly the worst fish n chips I have had. Flavourless food, miserable staff, beige and pale under fires food everywhere you look. Go else where.

I can't say anything negative about the quality of the food but other things about this place make it merely 'average' in my opinion. When compared to other stalls along Great Yarmouth front - Fish, Chips & More is lacking. They have both outside and indoor seating. Indoor is currently closed because of Covid, outdoor was very cramped and close together. We didn't sit at their provided seating because there is a 10% service charge to do so. (Not something found at one of our favourite fish and chip places). They also charged extra for sauces which is fair (although again not seen at another of our favourites further down) but does seem like a lot of unnecessary plastic waste. Cleanliness is dodgy, we were some of the last customers and we watched them pack away their outside seating. They left a lot of waste where the seating once was. Their Covid one way system was pretty good, with full plastic shielding between the customers and staff. They had also installed a microphone so you can hear the staff member attending the till easily.

"Fish Chips and More" was the best fish and chip takeaway we found this holiday with quick and efficient service and really lovely food. Ideal portion sizes too. As an added bonus, it was right next to the beach, so you could eat your takeaway on the sands if you wish.

Always come to this chippy when we visit Yarmouth each year but never again. Jumbo sausage and regular chips £4.50, bit expensive we thought but hey it’s post covid and in tourist area, but it was a rip off, the portion size of the chips was absolutely tiny, toddler size!! Large portion of chips £3.50 was a normal regular size portion. Very disappointed and kids still hungry so had to stop at McDonald’s on the way home!

My Mum and I visited today (second day in a row)! We always come here when we visit Yarmouth and we've not been disappointed yet! Went back today as they didn't have haddock yesterday. Extremely accommodating, lovely staff. Rely enjoyed our food here x

Me and wife went with ouw kid and my kid owdewed cod bites i had a cowd savewoy and the wife had 5 pickwed eggs (expecting a second kid) powtion ow savewoy was mowe wike a powtion of smaww sausage and fish in window wooked dwy awso costs too much and shouwd be wocked up fow fwaud uWu >:( ^_^

Poor quality food served at below ideal temperature. Food was definitely not as fresh as it should have been. Fish was extremely greasy. Portion size extremely poor. Over priced, poor food. No value for money to be had at this establishment. Would never visit again.

Very rare these days I eat without checking TA reviews, however, whilst on holiday in Great Yarmouth we walked past this place. After a sly look at what people were eating decided to grab some fish and chips. We weren’t disappointed. Fish and chips were lovely and service was great.

Nice fish and chip shop/restaurant serving many other items too with vegetarian options also. Variety of hot and cold drinks. In and outside seating with views of the promenade. Polite staff and reasonably priced Good Food.

Very bad choice of fish and chips . Run like a production line when served . Dont always have size of fish you require so have to buy larger piece , so works out more expensive . When at till order seems to be rushed so you dont see prices adding up quickly . Also chips dried up and wife called chips scrag ends .

Sloppy service and worse food, not able to do simple things like double dip my chips, or understand a simple order without me needing to repeat myself several times :( greasy chips very soggy and sausages with no flavour dripping in grease...

We both had the deal for fish cake, chips and a drink. Food was lovely, very good value. Would highly recommend..

£35 for fish and chips for 3 , couldn’t believe it when I read the receipt at the table. I wouldn’t go again, not even good quality.

Having inside cafe as well as take away service the good is great value with plenty on the menu to choose from service was quick and cafe clean and super friendly staff

Packet batter! Portion size inconsistent! Could have easily peeled the batter off of the sausage and sprinkled some lemon and sugar on to have a pancake! £2 per 500ml bottle of drink is robbery! "Gt Yarmouth's favourite quality fish & chips" I can do better at home out of my kitchen!!!

Came here in the week for fish & chips, it was lovely food the staff were helpful brought my food over to me the man who served me was a lovely chap very friendly, the food was proper fish and chips but not the cheapest

Fish and chips were average, nothing special. Thought it was expensive - x3 cod and chips & 3 drinks just under £30.But what’s really put me off visiting this place again is the rude lady who served me and her couldn’t care less attitude. A thank you and a smile was clearly too much effort for her.

Flew back from holiday and wanted some fish and chips for tea as all the grand kids were starving hungry

Good old seaside chips we ate here twice and both times we could fault it good prices and kids meals were good value aswell as they also came with a drink would eat here again

Food is ok I guess, cant really say anything else about it! , maybe better options but for what you pay for it is good value! however!!

No wonder great yarmouth has lost its holiday status, especially if you have been to this establishment. £7.05 for fish and chips .

Don’t get why people didn’t like it. Maybe it was in different hands last year, I’m not sure? But my experience was absolutely fine. The fish was amazing and the chips, not the best I’ve ever tasted but they were satisfactory! Seating area was to a high standard (no plastic seating attached to tables sort of thing) , it was classy furnishings and clean which is the main thing. Overall a great chippy.

We have visited this several times and have always found the food to be of very good quality and the staff as very helpful especially towards disabled people. Prices are pretty much in line with other places along the parade and food is often available without having to wait.

I eat here every time I visit Great Yarmouth ,the food is always fresh and piping hot. I would recommend a visit...

charge ten percent to sit at tables but have to fetch food in takeaway packaging tables filthy dozens of grease marks crumbs ect staff standing around could clean tables instead stood at counter no one in queue when I got there then some people came up got served so when I asked why they got served was told I was queing at wrong end of line food poor warm only would not come here again

Pescado, patatas fritas y más es una tienda de chips localizar en Marine Parade en Great Yarmouth en las unidades estacionales de la tienda en la parte delantera del hotel. Fui con unos amigos en 2015 Agosto. El pescado estaba muy agradable era eran las patatas fritas. Ofrecen las picaduras de pescado en diferentes cantidades diferentes y me gustó mucho, también tuve una escalones abollados salchichas, que era bueno. Buena relación calidad-precio, con un buen personal. Recomendado.

Worst food we've ever eaten. Cold, microwaved and just nasty. Ordered a curry sauce to go with my chips and it was thick, tasteless and cold. Savaloy was cold in the middle and the chips were greasy!! Never again. Avoid at all cost
