Not to sure what the bad reviews are about (maybe just busier times) we have been twice whist at Butlin’s, both times food was really good! We had the sharer meals…..Friday we’re warned it may be an hour wait on food but arrived within 20 mins….staff were amazing! Best food on site whilst we have stayed

The main course was OK, and did not wait to long. Different story with the dessert. I waited 45 minutes to get the dessert. Understaffed.

We only went there as it was convenient on the Friday night we arrived. There was four of us and two of us had quarter chicken and other two chicken breast, the quarter chicken hardly had any meat on it but at least it was moist, as the chicken breast was very dry. Two meals came out so quick we couldn’t believe it we had only just ordered by the bar and sat down when they came out so they were obviously cooked and hanging around, now as for the sides the chips were okay, corn on cob was best side and worst was garlic bread, it had a really strange taste to it. We were told off by the bar that we should be queuing around the corner where the arrows on the floor were, it might help if there were signs up at the bar or barman told us. Wouldn’t go there again.

We arrived and were shown to our table. No one explained we had to go to till to order food, we have never been before. After quite a while we called a member of staff over who explained. We ordered. After 30 mins of waiting a member of staff came over and said they do not have our order. I said surely you know when you take our order if you have enough, she said they have to scrap some food. She said we can reorder.....After it being nearly an hr up to this point we did not want to have another long wait again for our food...so we asked for refund. They did not refund for drink although we could not enjoy unlimited drinks with a non existent meal....shocking restaurant.

It’s the worse place here for food the whippy ice cream was orange an running my cousin has an eating disorder and she was told there is nothing with it but staff an was told to eat it.

Nice grilled chicken meals, but visit made special by staff going the extra mile for my wife's birthday. Special mention to Jess for her super friendly service and delightful musical skills!

This restaurant does not take bookings which is odd in the current CV19 restrictions. Queue outside until a table is available. Busy period (told) 5-7pmTables spaced out and some table left empty to keep a distance around. Masks and sanitiser in place.Small portions but that stops everyone from being greedy (lol).Staff friendly and helpful and very chatty if you like thatChicken burger good standard although the bun a little large for the chicken.Tots and Junior choices for the kids meal. Junior portions suited 10 year olds easily.

Went in and were greeted by very friendly staff who showed us to a table everything very neat and Covid aware. Sophie was pleasant helpful took our drinks order whilst we looked at the menu. We asked for a rack of ribs and 2 sides between us not a problem. The ribs when they arrived were really good, we like BBQ sauce , along with ribs we went for corn cobs again open fire grill made them really tasty. The portion size not only fed us both but left four ribs which they popped in a foil bag. ...the meal was so good we went in a 2nd time opting for chicken with 1/2 rack and different sides The meal was also incredibly good service fantastic .....

We visited for lunch with a bit of apprehension following the reviews on this page. Happy to say, we had a really good experience. Very friendly staff (gave my son a balloon just because he was looking at their balloon displays and asked him questions about his holiday, etc) and the food was good. Portion sizes are very generous (and we like to eat!) and the junior meals are very good value. I only wish that there was an option for grilled chicken in the Tots menu instead of just chicken nuggets but we just ordered from the reasonably priced Junior menu for our 1 year old instead. There was a slight discrepancy with the bill and they fixed it immediately and without making us feel uncomfortable at all. Would recommend for a good value and tasty family lunch or dinner.

Visited this place as part of a Butlin’s holiday and all I can say is I am bitterly disappointed. As the only restaurant that is open in Butlin’s Minehead for a sit-down meal during COVID, you would expect at least a friendly hello and accommodating staff. The food was not as described, small portions and came out cold. When we complained to the waitress about ‘salsa’ on a salmon (that may I add, was just peppers and sweetcorn) she said “9/10 people ask what the salsa is” and did said sorry sarcastically. Then tried to call over the manager in the middle of our meal. Not only this, the food is edible at best- enough to sustain you that’s about it. One of our party spoke to the manager and said “you should’ve asked about what the meal contained when you ordered it” even though the menu seemed descriptive enough. When our table member tried to explain that she was allergic to the peppers that were in the food and not on the menu, the manager was passive aggressive and explained how it was her fault for ordering it. To add, a few tables were not cleared and cleaned even though we were the last to leave the restaurant. The manager also said that he did not care if we were to leave a bad trip advisor review, after YELLING at us after we complained.

Absolutely great service, wait to get in and for food but was made aware. Server was very good and accommodating and also engaging with the family. Highly recommend. Doubles on spirits only £1.80 extra. Chicken is great, kids meals great value.

Our first meal at Butlins, and it was super, served by Sophie. the chicken and ribs are a must try and great value on the bottle of Cava. Great respect of social distancing.

Visited whilst staying in Butlins, arrived just after 4PM so didn't have to wait. Later on the queue is big. The other restaurant on site that's available to dine in is awful so no surprise this is so busy.Staff all friendly and helpful.Portion sizes on the chicken are quite generous, sides not really big enough to share between 2.We all enjoyed the food, chicken, spicy chips, rice and particularly the homemade slaw. Would definitely return depending on the queue

We had amazing ribs and the chicken was lovely and tender. Chips were also great. What's not to like! (and plenty of dairy free)

We went here for dinner and we wasn’t that impressed; the service was good and we didn’t have to wait too long for our food but the qualify wasn’t great. My son had a mini burger but it had been overcooked so he chose not to eat it after one bite. I had a normal burger but it was tasteless and the bun used was too hard... to be honest I think McDonalds burgers were tastier and obviously much better value for money. My daughter had pasta but it was cold so again she chose not to eat it.

Pre-order the said, it’ll be ready for 7.30pm they said.....There were around 18 of us, and therefore we were told to pre-order. We were told the food would be ready when we arrived at 7.30pm.....some 45mins later we had to make a formal complaint. We eventually got our almost-tepid-below-average-food.Most of our group experienced poor service, poor food and staggeringly late food. That being said the manager did take 20% of the bill......the least they could have done. We won’t be going back. Ever.

Food is OK. Comparible prices with similar types of restaurant. We all finished it all. Service a little slow at the start but once ordered the food came nice and quick. A few checks during the meal that all was ok but took a while once we finished to get the deserts and then the bill. Came at midday and it wasn't busy. Nice environment to eat.

Tasty food and good portion size for small kids. We normally have loads of leftovers from kids meals but these were the perfect portion size.

We were warned it would be a long wait and they were not wrong. While we were waiting I saw two other people complaining which is never a good signThe team were fine and clearly very busy. We saw our food waiting on the pass for over ten minutes. The kitchen rang the bell three times but no one collected it (we were quite tempted to get it ourselves)We have two five year olds and they had the toddler menu which was a very small portion. But the food was nice and again very reasonable for what we had. The ice cream “factory” was disappointing. Poor selection and vile ice cream but the kids didn’t seem to mind (although interestingly neither of them ate it all which is unheard of)Disappointing we couldn’t leave a tip via the card machine (sort it our head office, am sure it would make you team happy)

We opted for the sharing menu which was good value and good taste just disappointed no longer do the range of sauces to dip in used to Fast friendly service

We visited The Firehouse Grill while on holiday at Butlins. There were four of us and we had the wraps and burgers with sides. We found the food hot, and delicious and came out quite quickly after ordering. The staff are both friendly and helpful. The only thing that let's it down is that there still appears to be a lot of mess around from previous diners, that doesn't seem to get cleared before others arriving.

We looked at reviews here before coming. I didn’t see anything of what the reviewers point out. Our server was lovely, attentive, friendly and fast. Nothing was to much to ask. We were worried about the wait times, so ordered quickly, but within 15 minutes we had our food and drinks.If I’m honest, I expected Nando’s. It wasn’t really like that. More for me a supermarket chicken, with side dips and decent thick chips. The corn was nice as well. Although the butter we asked for had been in the fridge, so didn’t melt. But an ok meal. On a whole was ok. Wasn’t breathtaking, but nice enough food. Service was excellent.

Arrived at just after 4pm, restaurant was almost empty. Should have seen the warning signs when our initial server didn’t understand when I asked for a white wine!

Great choice of wraps with a side at reasonable prices served in a very clean and contemporary restaurant. Better than you would expect.

This sounds a repeat of another review on here, seated quickly no drinks order for half an hour, ordered food and that took another half an hour for starter which was only garlic bread after I asked where it was and the main meal followed on top which wasn’t the idea with hungry kids. I won’t be going back.

Really enjoyed eating here. The rack of ribs was huge and tasted great. My son recommends the burgers and the chicken was also well cooked, according to my Mum. Great friendly staff.

I’m sad to be writing a bad review as I always try to see positive in every place we visit but unfortunately I don’t have anything positive to report this time.

We went to this restaurant after coming on a visit a couple of years ago... This time after being offered complimentary meals from Butlins after an allergy issue at one of their other eateries.

Ate here with friends, very good efficient service, friendly staff, good value, good wine at reasonable prices, great round tables, good food, we chose a variety of food and none of us had any complaints.

We had heard that that they did not have enough staff on to deal with the customers. We went at 7pm and many tables were un-cleared and we were told food would be 45 minutes. We risked it (we had to young hungry children) but the food came within 20 minutes. We had a whole chicken with sides which was just fine. It also came with a half rack of ribs which were delicious. Also had a falafel burger which was overcooked and dry. Our Hungarian male waiter was charming and brilliant and he deserves a pay rise,

Busted here on a Saturday night whilst at Butlin’s, waited 2 hours for food. We ordered 4 meals.

Excellent food. Great choice on the menu and all meals delicious. Fairly priced. Good drinks menu. Excellent waiter service.

Terrible quality food. All bland. All greasy. Caesar wrap had no Caesar in it. Chicken wings appeared to have been boiled not grilled Waited over an hour for food. Some party got their food 15 minutes before us. My halloumi on the side came 15 minutes before my main. Everyones food cold. Left my whole meal. Really really poor experience and worst restaurant I’ve ever been too. Will never return.

The kids meal was probably better than an adult meal. My food was really bland and there wasn't much of it. Wouldnt go there again.

Remembered it from visiting in the past. A good selectiong of the usual chicken style meals althoegh others available. Food was hot upon delivery, Prices a little high for this sort of menu. Overall ok for a get stuck in meal.

we travel from London to butlins minehead just for this restaurant! the food is amazing and priced well and the customer service is fantastic! the sharing platter is to die for and they have the best cheesy garlic bread I have ever tasted! great for all the family

We visited this restaurant while away on holiday, unsure of what the veggie options were instantly the waitresses ask if any of us had specific things they like to know and helped to highlight what options were there.

This is a great restaurant with great service. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would have liked to see more meat than sided as very small portion of meat.

Beautifully cooked food, served by lovely, friendly staff. Food was plentiful, leaving us both ‘stuffed’ for the evening.

Had a fantastic meal was really tasty and huge portions! I had the 1/2 chicken with spicy chips and onion ring with habenero baste (very very hot) wife had 1/2chicken coleslaw and onion rings with warm and fruity baste(mild and tasty) and kids had kids meal with desserts and drinks, had wanted to try all hols and it didn't disappoint would definitely go back

Fire house Grill is a good place to go dinner or Lunch time the food is good I wold Recommend it for the Evening to have Dinner

Good grill limited menu.but tasty.same as all butlins, pricey but they got a captive audience but I did enjoy my burger,and the service is good and friendly. But at £4.85 a pint a bit steep but the burger was £11.95 with 2 sides so not too bad on the food front .

We visited this restaurant back in May and I wrote a very good review for a very good experience.

Arrived late due to horrendous traffic (nearly 4 hours on the road). As a consequence of the delay, we missed the closing time for the restaurants included as part of the Premium Dining package so wandered around the Skyline Pavillion to find something to satisfy our hunger, eventually settling on Firehouse Grill.

This restaurant was reasonably priced and the food was ok if you like burgers or chicken. For starters we had cheesy garlic bread, my friend really liked it and I didn't! I think if you like ciabatta bread you'd be ok. I had a burger served in a ciabatta roll which I didn't like or eat. The extra 50p for cheese was a waste of money it was the plastic cheese and it didn't even melt. I enjoyed the chips and coleslaw! My friend had the fried haloumi and roasted peppers which she enjoyed.

The service was good and food was good...if you like Nandos, you will like this place as its very similar!

We arrived at Butlins and ate here while waiting to check in. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the food was fantastic. Good choices for the kids and best bbq chicken I have had in a very long time. Will be eating here again and would highly recommend.

I decided to eat here with my little boy on the first evening .... well what a mistake. I ordered a chicken wrap and chips and ordered chicken nuggets for my son, the chicken was not chicken it was rubbery so I decided to take it out and not eat it. The chips were cold, my sons chicken nuggets were hard and tasted vile.

We have been visiting Butlins for several years yet for some reason we haven’t tried this establishment until now.

We've been to the Firehouse several times, but this was the best. Wonderful food (loaded nachos are great for a starter) and service was excellent. Chicken fillets delicious, and many choices of sauce. Great deserts and kids menu. Our waitress, Viktotia, was brilliant - friendly, professional and efficient and made our lunchtime meal go perfectly.

Really good food, massive portions for the prices, and tastes lovely. Great services, happy and friendly staff.

The restaurant was so cold that we had to keep our coats on. The food itself was mixed. The staff were nice, and the children had a balloon each - but they couldn’t eat their meal (and my son eats pretty much anything). The price was way too high for what we had.

It's busy but always good to acknowledge customers! As when we visited 2 years ago we stood waiting to be seated St the main entrance. At least 4 members of staff came up several times to sort menus etc right in front of us but...

Went here on our holiday! Food was perfect fsr better than nandos which is exactly whose its like the service was excellent we had a lovely waiter who wouldnt do enough for our table and our children called ryan! Absolutely perfect one of our best meals that holiday.

Ate here as a family of four. The style and menu mimics a well known brand but I have to say that the food was far fresher, plump, juicier, tastier and served way better.Balasz, was our server. Cheerful, entertaining and helpful. Guided us through the menu and has knowledge of the flavours and spices/heat levels. We had a sharing platter of a whole chicken, extra wings, half rack of ribs and four sides. Mire than enough for all of us; but we demolished it, because it was so tasty. Came here on a Friday night as a family of four and had the sharing platter. The food arrived quickly and was plentiful with more than enough for all. The chicken was cooked perfectly as was the chips and the house slaw is excellent. The service was attentive and friendly. Definitely the best place to eat at Butlins Minehead.

One of the nicest restaurants in Butlins! The place is really clean and the staff are really friendly. Really good atmosphere! Food tastes gorgeous and my two kids really enjoyed it. If you like Nando's you will love it here! It took them awhile to bring out our desserts as they were really busy, we didn't mind but they gave them to us on the house. Can't fault the place.

Went here for our last meal before returning home and what a mistake that was! Manager didn't know what she was doing walking is around all over place to find us a table to sit us in a back corner. Service slow and poor when complaint about rack of ribs being to gristly and hardly any meat servers reply was well that's how we serve it next time don't order if you don't like that kind of meat! Never had a rack of ribs like this before and should have been offered a replacement but no such thing happened. Worst place on the park! Re training needed! All over restaurants were ok!!

We decided to eat here on the last evening of our holiday in Butlins, what a mistake! The place is clearly modelled on Nando's, which is fine and was actually what attracted us, but the food is awful. I can't comment on the whole/half chicken meals or wing meals but the wrap I was served was disgusting. Plastic tasting grated cheese which hadn't even been melted, the sticky BBQ flavouring was nowhere to be found and the chicken itself was chicken pieces, tasting of water, which seemed to be the kind you buy cheap in a frozen bag in the supermarket. The chips were okay, just tasted like oven chips but the cheesy garlic bread was horrible too, bland and doughy. My daughter is 3 so a kids meal for her was fine but her burger was served with about 6 chips so I don't think it would fill older children. My advice, try somewhere else.

Had a meal during our stay at Butlins. The service was excellent, the waitress was very good. A wide selection on the menu and a good choice of drinks.

We ate here as a hen party of 11. Lovely restaurant very spacious. Good selection of food & drink. Our waiter was very friendly & patient with us. I ordered bbq chicken with chips & coslaw. The food was hot portions were large but bland. Food could of done with more seasoning. We had to ask for extra condiments. I'm just glad I carry a small hot pepper sauce with me. It was surley needed to add to my food to give it a little zing. All in all the restaurant had a great atmosphere. Toliets were very clean.

Everything was great from start to finish, getting a seat was super quick and we were met at the door by one of the waitresses.The menu had a very good choice for chicken lovers but also some other meals if you have that one in your family that isn't a chicken fan.Kids menu was good with a decent variety.The food was outstanding, so nice. Nice seating areas. Good, but not varied enough menu. Chicken choice with one side included any other extras you pay extra for. Good quick service and very tasty food. Portions looked small when they arrived but in truth there was enough. Gets very busy so book a table.

We had vouchers to use on camp and could not find anywhere to use them due to lack of entertainment / facillities so went for dinner with them.

We visited here for a treat night out whilst on our family trip to Butlins.If I'm honest after reading some of the reviews I very impressed First off Staff were great, friendly and polite.The food itself was good and came out in record time, must have been about 5mins max and tasted fresh, hats off to the chef there!The Chicken itself was a little bit bland and ever so slightly dry but was still nice, the flavouring just needs improving and more sauces ( like Nondo's ) need to be provided, mayo and ketchup is ok for Kids but not for Adults.I had the Habanero rub and it was pretty tasteless and was not hot in the slightest! Chips and coleslaw were excellent though, much better than other well one chicken restaurants.All in all this was a very enjoyable meal out and would defiantly recommend it to any chicken or cock lovers out there.

I have been to this place before and every time I walk out thinking this place will give Nandos a run for its money. You can't help but feel they are trying to get in on Nandos market share and I have to say the food is amazing. The sides, mains all your Nandos tickles with extras. Example garlic bread from nandos are two piece of bread this place is 4, and with cheese if you need. High chairs supplied, great place. The only down point to this place even without all the tables being used you are unable to get a table unless you have booked. If you are thinking about going be sure to book a table for a day as soon as you get on site. Happy Eating

The staff were very friendly and after two visits the waitress know what we liked to drink, eat and what condiments we asked for! The food was hot, served in good time and of a good quality. The portions were large and ensured no one left hungry.

As a female member of staff was seen smoking in the kitchen after closing time as we were passing by 2 nights ago. She was trying to hide it but was seen.

This is a good restaurant for a "treat" meal whilst staying at Butlins. Food was good, but not exceptional. A little experience. Service was friendly, but they were very busy as the whole place filled up at 1pm after the main stage event. Recommended.

Ate here when at butlins on a hen party and really enjoyed my chicken wrap. The service was excellent and staff were very nice and accommodating of our large group. My only criticism is that there is no hot sauce on the tables (only ketchup etc.). I had the "hottest" marinade on my chicken and it was still quite mild. The waiter did bring me a bowl of extra marinade when I asked but I am really surprised there was no spicy sauce offered or available on the table.

If you go to butlins then this is an absolute must. The food is top notch amazing, we eat here at least once every time we visit

This place needs to bring back the peri peri sauce and other sauces they took away. Also needs to bring the prices down

After a dismal meal in the Sun & Moon we tried this before going on the razz on the Saturday night. We weren't disappointed! It was a bit like a fake Nando's with a few other options too. My chicken breast was not very sophisticated, could have had a bit more smoky barbeque sauce but the chips were lovely and so was the cheesy garlic bread. All our meals were good and not many of us managed to finish them. All in all, a good meal out, we'll eat there again.

Had a lovely meal with grandparents, children and grandchildren all enjoying lovely tasty supper. Good selection for all tastes. Staff really good and very welcoming with lots of attention to children. Great to have pens and paper for kids. Good food and family atmosphere

This was the third time we've eaten here. Another great meal. While cooked, moist chicken. Generous portion of chunky chips, generous portion of fresh, tasty slaw. Prompt friendly service. Would recommend.

This place is situated within Butlins. Had a chicken wrap, but could not eat it as the chicken was very odd. It was square chunks of something white, but I would doubt it was chicken. My daughter has the Risotto which she enjoyed, and my son in law had the salmon which he said was ok. Not particularly cheap either.

We were looking forward to our meal on the last night of our holidays. We booked in advance and arrived promptly. After almost 40 minutes and several attempts to get attention our order was taken. Starters were a disappointment. Burnt quite badly.Mains were an improvement. Each of us enjoyed our selection and hoped the evening was eventually improving. Unfortunately we were mistaken. After another 40 minutes wait we gave up on our desire for a desert. Instead we had to wait at the till in the hope we would be able to settle our bill and leave. We shall avoid in the future. Clearly customers are not a priority here.

Ate here with a group of friends , it was very busy and had a great atmosphere . The staff were all very friendly and pleasant even though they were rushed off their feet . We all had varying meals , I had a chicken wrap with bbq sauce and chips , it was so delicious and so much of it . We all enjoyed our meals and left very full and happy and we only had main courses . Would highly recommend .

Visited with my family. Was seated quickly with friendly staff. Ordered chicken wrap with butternut squash chips (healthy choice) for £2.25 with slaw.All came promptly. Recieved mine to discover 5 butternut squash chips which is disgusting when u can get a whole butternut squash from aldi for 65p. Compared to my partners who had a big plate of chunky chips...portion sizes are inaccurate.Well I fought my corner & ended up with no charge but thus shouldn't occur. Food overall priced highly when mentioned with the team leader stated it was priced butlins...! Won't be jumping at the chance to visit again.

From walking through the door until leaving everything was great, the member of staff was happy and friendly the drinks were bought out without a long wait the food was hot and delicious and the treacle tart for afters very nice. All five of my party enjoyed the firehouse grill.
