Very welcoming and very attentive staff. Fish and chips were cooked fresh and were delicious! Great atmosphere, nice touch with the wood burner. Definitely recommend!

Lovely setting considering it’s near Burnley centre and some derelict areas, obviously spent some money on the old building, staff friendly and inviting, however when it came to Sunday lunch, this was a letdown This was apparently the first weekend for doing Sunday lunch, it was obviously mass produced frozen foods, meal was warm and not hot, so how long food was sat in kitchens is a guess, such a shame as first week I would have thought the venue would want to make a good impression

Such a lovely venue everything was clean and pristine. I came for a friends birthday and although we were many and quite rowdy the staff were very attentive and wonderful with our needs. The food was very nice, the appetizers and deserts were especially good and everything was fairly priced so you wont be breaking the bank to come out for a nice evening by the river. Finsley Gate has such a beautiful spot down by the canal on a sunny day it would be perfect to sit outside with a bevvy!

Lovely place. Solid meal. Good service. Also a little piece of history. Would definitely go back and recommend. The staff were admittedly a little green, but it didn't detract from my experience
