Great golf course with stunning views followed by dinner and a cold drink. Cannot fault the place, clean, tidy, great food and a wonderful golf course. Staff are amazingly friendly and can't do enough for you. Will return

I have never stayed at such a horrific place. The toilet didn’t flush properly and we to asked twice for it to be fixed. The guy who came to have a look just said the trick of flushing it but couldn’t fix it until after the weekend. Our beds didn’t have any sort of mattress protector. The beds were just made up with just a sheet on top of the mattress that didn’t fit the base. Lots of stains on the carpets the tiles were all cracked in the bathroom and kitchen area and wobbled, the whole wooden floor creaked every time you stepped on it. I could go on…..

A very welcoming reception and friendly staff throughout our 5 night stay. Hotel room comfortable, well furnished. We found the golf course challenging with the hills but the countryside views are beautiful and relaxing. Breakfasts were ample, well cooked and freshly made. All staff very friendly and helpful, especially Libby and Donna, the two bar attendants/hotel assistants during evening duties went above and beyond to attend to guests requests.

We travelled from Ireland and stayed here for a family wedding and this place was recommended !! We arrived early and were more than happy to wait ! We were told the max wait would be an hour , hours later we ordered food ( which seemed to be at the annoyance of the staff) we had to go up to and ask 4 hours later if our room was ready and was told oh yes hours ago!! We were a bit dismayed at the reception closing at ten and us having to use the side metal stair fire escape exit !! We weren’t told a check out time !! When we enquired we were told 15 mins ago!! In the rush I managed to leave something behind ! 3 emails , 2 tweets and 6 unanswered calls later I am still none the better !! One positive was the blonde cleaning lady who left us a broken fan as the rooms had no air conditioning ! Breakfast was nice for frozen food

We had heard good things so came for a meal. Food was ok nothing special. Desserts were expensive for the portion size. They definitely need more staff there was one member of staff Karen who was on bar & waitressing and seemed like everything was a hassle and wasn’t very pleasant. Maybe we chose the wrong time to visit but won’t be rushing back

Food cooked by Simon was excellent. Bar service and food service was helpful and friendly . There was very limited wine available as they were re doing the wine list.

We called in at the restaurant while on the way to Cornwall and had a delicious lunch. Food and service excellent, would return in a heartbeat, except it is 200+ miles from home!

Rang and booked a table for 2. Had a small scampi and chips which was plenty for us to eat. It was nearly Halloween so had to take some photos of the decorations.

Popped in on the off chance for lunch. Very pleasant waitress & lovely food. Large portions. Little pricey but delicious

RUDE MANAGER and awful experience. Where do I start? Firstly, booked a lodge with a hot tub, called up the hotel before I booked to confirm this. On arrival no hot tub. Secondly, outside of the lodge, on the decking, there was a load of cigarettes all over the decking, clearly hadn’t been cleaned up, disgusting. The step broke outside, my partner fell down, hurt her ankle, it wasn’t stable. Now, inside, went to make some drinks, the glasses had lipstick on, clearly not cleaned properly, just what you want when in middle of a pandemic..! Thirdly, the loo didn’t even flush... the water tasted musky too. So, when I spoke to manager Sarah, I complained that we had paid for a cabin and hot tub but didnt have one, she couldn’t care less, her attitude was rude, unhelpful and even shouted at me and my partner, telling us that it’s our problem, and to read booking and look at web site properly, even though we called up the hotel to double check before booking. We were told that we would have a hot tub. Sarah the manager had the worst customer service skills I’ve ever seen. I would avoid this place at all costs. Rude staff, awful customers service, dirty glasses, no soap, not clean and the lodges don’t have hot tubs.

The food was good although there was not a lot of choice. It was not cheap but the portions are a good size. We enjoyed lunch and dinner. The restaurant closes at 8 pm and is used mainly by golfers.

So pleased with this find. The golf course has a few self-catering lodges. Good facilities, lovely & peaceful. We could faintly hear the A30 but not enough to disturb us. Ideal for couples or families with younger children.

We stayed in the Glen FIngle hotel in what they called the family room, which is just a large double room. Facilities were poor with a real small shower room which was just big enough for an adult let alone supervise a child. We had a toilet seat that was not secure and were unable to fix and were not bothered about tea and coffee facilities were not replenished. No hot water on 2nd day generally a really poor run hotel. Breakfast not included which they still charged the same price.

Myself, my other half and three year old child arrived at Fingle Glen Golf Hotel after a long 4 hour drive. We were due to stay in one of V.I.P luxury cabins with hot tube from Saturday to the Wednesday. When I arrived and went to reception to collect the key, we were informed we had been booked in for the wrong days by Ho seasons! We were actually booked in from the Sunday to the Thursday! This was very very disappointing and frustrating!! IThe lady at the hotel reception was very very helpful and managed to get us into one of the hotel rooms for the night with a meal in the restaurant! The food was lovely, can not fault in anyway! Unfortunately when we got to the room, the television and kettle did not work. We was also advised that our cabin would be there first to be deep cleaned, so we did not have to wait around in the morning. We did not get into our cabin until half 12 that day and was sat waiting around all morning!! Once we got into the cabin, it was very clean but was slightly tired and needs a bit of TLC. Hot tube was not ready until later that evening, which was slightly disappointing but not the end of the world. Shower was very powerful, Better than the one we have at home. Beds very comfortable and had the best nights sleep in a long time. No WiFi either. Washing machine and dryer were not clean, full of dirt around the inside.

We went with a party of 8. Food was extremely disappointing. Tasteless curry, overcooked scampi, a baked Camembert that wasn't baked and which eventually was fully returned. The pizza was ok but it isn't made on site.

I have just returned from a fantastic holiday at Fingle glen. We stayed in the lodges on the golf course overlooking the 18th hole. The views were breath taking. The lodges were spotlessly clean, very comfortable and homely. The staff were fabulous, they couldn’t do enough for us, catered to our every need. Our young children loved the animals on site very good idea for the children. We ended up extending our holiday there instead of going to another holiday park as we were so impressed and also booked our in-laws in to the next lodge for the rest of our stay! I will be returning to Fingle glen lodges as soon as I can, we were all very sad to leave. Great lodges, great views, great park, great staff. 10 out of 10.

Nos alojamos anoche en la habitación familiar (habitación 5). Muy hogareño, acogedor y limpio. Lo único es que el baño es bastante pequeño teniendo en cuenta que es una habitación familiar, no hay estantes para poner nuestra bolsa de lavado, etc. No hay minibar como lo anuncian (lo que no nos molestó y no se refleja en la calificación de estrellas, solo una nota , tal vez no anunciar?). El personal era amable y servicial, especialmente el personal del desayuno esta mañana, que era encantador con nuestro hijo de 3 años e incluso le dio un regalo extra. El desayuno era delicioso y servido rápidamente también. Sin duda me alojaría de nuevo, la habitación era muy tranquila por la noche, cama cómoda! Solo 4 estrellas porque el baño es pequeño y la falta de estanterías útiles, pero eso es todo. ¡Muy recomendable!

Genial para el almuerzo del domingo.Después de buscar un lugar nuevo para probar el almuerzo hoy me encontré con Fingle Glen esta mañana, después de una llamada rápida a ellos logré conseguir una mesa.Reservamos a las 12:00 para 4 personas (dos adultos y dos niños)La señora en el teléfono fue agradable y amable (Donna) y nos reservó una mesa.Cuando llegamos nos sorprendió lo tranquilo que era, todavía no era un problema para nosotros, ya que nos sentamos y nos sirvieron muy rápido.Las fotos que tomé hoy simplemente no hacen justicia a la calidad de la comida, ya que estaba muy bien preparada y tenía un excelente sabor y un precio razonable.Bonitas patatas crujientes con un interior esponjoso y la carne de cerdo se desmoronó al cortarla.Personal 10/10Comida 9. 9/10 (porque soy quisquilloso y no me gusta el repollo)Sede 9/10Vistas 10/10Llegaron más personas cuando nos íbamos probablemente debido a que comimos a las 12: 00 ya que la mayoría de las mesas estaban listas.

Waiting for our house to be finished, we stayed in a lodge on the golf course for four months. The views are fantastic, even in the rain! the staff members are helpful and very friendly. The lodge was extremely comfortable with two bedrooms, a bathroom and separate shower room. The club house has a very pleasant atmosphere. The breakfasts are delicious with a good choice and reasonably priced. The position is good for getting into Exeter city,to the coast and Dartmoor. There is a bus route from Pathfinder village, 5 minutes' walk away into the city centre as well. We had several lunches in the restaurant and were never disappointed. It really was a very enjoyable stay. Thank you all once again.

Ate here on a quiet midweek evening. Starters good, main courses appalling. Bland curry (is that even possible?) with rice that was like bullets, chicken burger for an adult that reminded me of kids club on holiday. Could of made better at home. Staff not attentive, didn't even ask if our food was okay, they were too busy chatting behind the bar. Local but won't be returning, too inconsistent and a shame.

Round of golf en route down Devon. Some wacky holes where you really need a buggy 1) because of the undulating terrain2) to suss out the hole, otherwise you won't see the best line or dangers.Enjoyed it as it made you think e.g. early par 5 dog leg with two brooks - just take three seven irons and avoid all the trouble.Few things could make this a lot better- decent price for buggies . £25 is a bit much- more distance markers. I only noticed the blue '150' stick from the 11th , but with all the hills, it would make it more enjoyable.- ' next hole' markers from the green, not miles away near the next tee box.- there was a wedding on so we weren't allowed to have a drink outside. So, we left.

Had excellent food, not just the main meal but starter and afters also. All was eaten, not a bit left on the late. Not a particularly romantic setting but food excellent

Reservé con anticipación una comida para cuatro personas para celebrar el 50 aniversario de oro (de la hermana)Tuvimos una mesa en el restaurante elegido debido a que un invitado estaba en una silla de ruedas.Nuestra camarera fue muy servicial.El entrante que tuve (champiñones) apenas estaba caliente. El resto de la fiesta tenía sopa que estaba bien. El plato principal de Lamb fue agradable, solo un tamaño de porción muy pequeño por el precio.Mi Steak & Ale Pie estaba delicioso. Grandes trozos de carne y salsa encantadora al lado.El único inconveniente de la noche fue una función de "golf" en la sala, muy ruidosa (y a veces muy grosera, especialmente para los camareros). Si nos informaran que este evento estaba en marcha, ¡habríamos solicitado una noche alternativa! Estábamos pagando invitados y pasamos por alto por completo una vez que llegó la fiesta "grande".Después de haber viajado durante más de 7 horas en la autopista para asistir a esta comida, no me impresionó lo suficiente como para reservar nuevamente.

Hice sugerencias de bebidas, así como alimentos que son todos productos locales frescos y deliciosos. Excelentes sabores de ginebra, disfrutamos mucho de la cena y el desayuno y definitivamente lo recomendaría. Un excelente lugar para hospedarse con amplio estacionamiento gratuito.

Solo estuvimos 1 noche, lo cual fue una reserva tardía, así que no estoy seguro de lo que íbamos a conseguir. Muy contento de haber elegido este hotel, ya que todo es excelente. La habitación, el personal yy el desayuno que se servía recién a la mesa. Recomiendo encarecidamente este hotel y sin duda lo volvería a elegir cuando visite esta zona.

For my fathers 80th birthday the family got together here,there was nine adults and 5 children under 10 and one baby in our party.The staff were very helpful and catered for all our needs during this meal,everything was hot and came at once so no waiting for any of the party.The meals we had were well portioned and delicious.I would recommend this venue for any family celebration and the price was very compatible with other similar restaurants.

Had lunch here today. We were all unsure when we saw the prices on the menu but for the quality of food, the size of the servings and the fact that all food is fresh and locally produced and sourced the value is excellent.

The hotel and golf course are surrounded by rolling hills and not far from the city centre. All the staff members were extremely friendly and very helpful. The room was superb with opening windows, (not always the case in some hotels) a comfortable bed and very clean. The breakasts were amazing with a variety of options. The evening meals as well were delicious.

Visited recently for 2 nights to see friends in the area. It was our second visit. Bar staff and restaurant staff were welcoming and polite. Breakfasts were very good. Rooms basic but clean , beds comfortable. Would definitely stay again

Unbeknown to us the pub where my friend had arranged for us to meet for lunch was closed and so we decided to drive down to Tedburn St Mary. This golf club is situated just off the A30 and has excellent parking spaces that lead down to the entrance. There is ample space for a wheelchair user and toilets were situated off the main corridor running past the reception desk. the dining area is well lit, laid out and if seated by the windows, provided with an interesting view.

Tuvimos 3 alojamientos entre 9 de nosotros y esperamos poner 3 mujeres en cada alojamiento. El hotel tenía una idea diferente, pero un 3, un 4 y un 2 en los alojamientos, lo cual fue una sorpresa. ¿No podríamos intercambiarlos a menos que quisiéramos compartir camas dobles? We stayed in lodge Heather for Valentine's night the lodge was awesome and the food in the restaurant was superb as was the unlimited prosecco. Andy the manager is as always superb.

5 estrellas reservamos un lodge con jacuzzi. El lodge estaba muy limpio y bien equipado. La cama era cómoda y disfruté del jacuzzi por la noche, después de una increíble comida de 3 platos, excelente comida para el chef. . . Las camareras eran amables y siempre comprobando que estuviéramos bien para todo, así que felicitamos a ellos también. Gracias a Andy y su equipo, fue una gran noche, volveremos.

Okay, so you might ask what did I expect, after all, it is a golf club! If you’re a golfer then this is ideal...the course runs through the accommodation part, which was quite amusing at times for an armchair golfer! But I’m a fisherman, and the lakes were very disappointing...well, they were more like garden ponds than lakes, and very poor. So, if you want to fish, go where’s decent lakes, not to a golf course!!!

Me alojé en Fingle Glenn desde el viernes 20 de julio hasta el domingo 22 de julio y pasé un buen par de días. En primer lugar, qué hermosa parte del mundo y las pequeñas aldeas cercanas son preciosas.

Me alojé aquí de camino a Cornualles el viernes por la noche. Llegué bastante tarde pero pensé que todo estaba bien x habitación bien y la mayoría de las cosas necesarias fueron proporcionadas pero el ruido de abajo era terrible. Habitación muy cálida, así que era necesario abrir la ventana solo para escuchar al personal que estaba abajo. Al mirar por la ventana, me di cuenta de que estábamos sobre el bar y las cocinas.

Was meant to be the highlight of a week with my sister. The staff made us feel we shouldn't be there. The atmosphere was non-existent, drinks and food were overpriced. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Ya hemos visitado Fingle Glen y nos alojamos en las cabañas de la bañera de hidromasaje. Se ha adaptado perfectamente a nuestras necesidades para dividir un largo viaje a Cornualles.

My wife and I have just had a very nice meal at this restaurant. We used a groupon voucher and we can honestly say it is the best deal we have ever had.Service, food, surroundings, all excellent. Peter, Rees.

Hemos estado antes una vez para un domingo asado, que disfrutamos muchísimo ese momento y queríamos volver.

We have eaten in this restaurant a few times because my father likes the food, the tablecloths, the friendly service and the value. We had enjoyed a good Sunday lunch back in August when we noticed they were doing a Christmas Day lunch, and as we were too large a party to eat at home we booked straight away. Every one of us thought our meal excellent from start to finish, good value and with reasonable bar prices too.

Four of us stayed in one of the lodges with Christmas eve buffet which was excellent,Christmas day we had a three course meal in the restaurant food was great and the staff couldn't do enough.Boxing day we had brunch which consisted a full English ,cereals and juice.we had a brilliant stay well worth the money I would do it again and recommend it to anyone.☺️

We had two nights at the Fingle Glen - you can dine indoors overlooking the golf course or can eat on the rear deck. Food varies from local 'pub grub' specials to a more restaurant style meal. Breakfast is great and made to order. Good to be able to dine on-site after a long day driving.

Upgraded to suite, superb, food very good too, good size portions as well. let's see what the course has to offer now!!

Durante mi estancia en fingleglen el lunes me sorprendió agradablemente la asombrosa atención de la joven que vino a nuestra cabaña llamado Cody, aunque sólo vestidos en cada día de ropa, ninguna solicitud era demasiado para este hombre joven habla bien. ¿que tuvieron problemas con la bañera de hidromasaje, Cody solucionó casi al instante para mí, junto con toallas extra dentro de agarrando minutos a mi solicitud. Esto no simplemente presentar mi opinión de él, pero mi opinión de toda la empresa fuimos bajando a los modales impecables de este joven.

Nos estaba conduciendo de un día pasado y pensamos que nos llamará para ver si podíamos conseguir algo de comida y conocer el maravilloso personal. . . . Sí, el encantador Kirsty sirven patatas fritas bistec con salsa de guisantes n n el elegante. . . . Impecable a una T como de costumbre 3 - 11 - 16 en 2:00 pm felicitaciones al chef. . . El resto de la tripulación era todo demasiado Kelly en la recepción, Andy el pesebre, Tom, y Joe. . . Todos

Comimos en el restaurante por 2 noches. La comida era excelente, las raciones eran más que adecuadas. Una buena selección y mi hija dijo que la carne estaba para morirse.

Stayed at Fingle Glen with friends visiting from Australia and London. Made very welcome by the staff, excellent service, nothing was too much trouble, friendly atmosphere in the bar. Clean comfortable rooms, lovely views from the Restaurant and terrace. Great value and excellent menu, well cooked and presented. Superb breakfast. Will definitely return.

We too k advantage of a groupon deal. This included Golf, tea/coffee, 20 range balls each and 20% off food. Brilliant! The course was really great.The food was the best that I have had for a while and the staff were very helpful and friendly. A lovely day out.

Healthy well cooked dinner and generous breakfast.I had grilled salmon salad for my main and Eton mess for dessert (although the meringue was not crushed, so not very messy)Staff were very attentive and friendly, the venue and surroundings very pleasant.

Stayed here in the lodges several times, very comfortable, have eaten in the restaurant, the food is excellent and very good value, staff are very friendly.Very tranquil surroundings, would definitely return.

We stayed in one of the lodges as we were here for a Xmas lunch party. We ate dinner in the restaurant the first night we both had the steak and a glass of red wine which was on offer for two persons so was good value, Breakfast was a bit sporadic and took a while to be served. Cutlery not inspected after dishwashing and had to be replaced. Thought it a bit strange that the restaurant of a golf club within an hotel wasn't open to Members or guests due to a private function in the restaurant. Lodge was very good, restaurant average.

A recommended clean and modern hotel. We stayed for 2 nights B&B in a suit which had - double bed with TV, lounge with Sky TV and a bathroom with shower on suit. The food was excellent and the staff very helpful, professional and dealt with our enquires and requests very professionally. The location is interesting making it suitable for a one night stay whilst on tour or as a base for exploration around this area. Close to A30.

We stayed here for two nights on a golf break and found all the staff extremely helpful and friendly, the meals were fantastic as was the very comfy king sized bed, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone even if you are not a golfer. One of the most welcoming places we have stayed and we will definitely be back.....

the Vardon's restaurant was rather quiet on a Friday night but this suited us - we took our teenagers along for a rare family meal out. We boys all had the beer battered cod and chips - my wife had the grilled chicken and bacon salad. the portion sizes were generous the quality of the food was smashing. For afters we all had the treacle pudding and ice-cream. I can thoroughly recommend all of these menu options. all in all we were very impressed and we will be back!

We ate dinner in the bar on our first night here, other than there being a wake in the restaurant so we felt incredibly uncomfortable the choice of food was excellent, we just ate off the bar menu as due to the wake we didn't feel like we could eat indoors and didn't want to be long. I'm not a fan of crashing weddings or funerals! But I had a prawn baguette, the husband had a chicken sandwich and we got a side of chips, everything was quick, well presented and hot. The prices were reasonable and the quality was top notch. We had breakfast in the restaurant twice and this gave us a real glimpse of what the could offer, the choice was superb, they were brilliant with our son, and it was delicious. I had smoked salmon and scrambled egg muffins one morning and poached egg on toast the next, the husband had the full english both morning and they were more than happy to swap items he didn't like (mushrooms) for ones he did (more meat!), they even made little mini breakfasts for the boy and made sure he had a straw with his drink each morning.

Went here for some food and didnt make its mark onme. Staff were ok n food was ok n place was ok. Thats it. I wouldnt bother going back

Used as a stop over on the journey to Cornwall to break the journey and although clean and picturesque, it was what it is . A place to stay and enjoy golf. Breakfast was OK but the rooms and the decor all looked a bit tired.

This hotel/chalets is situated in a very quiet area and you don't need to play golf. The chalets are roomy, warm And have all the facilities that you need e.g washing/drying machine dishwasher. For me the main attraction was the use of a hot tub it was absolutely amazing especially when sitting in the rain with a glass of wine. This hotel/chalet is about 20 mins from Exeter.

we were on the A30 no were coming up to eat, saw a sign for the kings head. stopped there but they did not serve food, told about the golf course that served food all day.walked in they set a table for us, a weeding being sorted out . anyway we placed an order for the six of us.we had our own privet table, the food turned up and surprisingly it was very good, we decided to have a desert and that was excellent .

Stopped off here on way back home to South Wales. Food served all day. Didn't look much on arrival, typical "working" golf course. There was no one in the restaurant at all which was a bit off putting but we're so glad we stopped. We had scampi & chips x 2, mushroom & leek pie x1 and drinks all for £33. Waitress was friendly. Food was delicious. Restaurant very nicely laid out with great views of the golf course. If same standards are kept, this will be a regular for us en route to Cornwall. Very nice

Recently had a meal here. (Groupon Deal)There was a large car park, loads of parking. There was a foul smelling scent like manure which greeted us as we opend the car door.We walked up to reception. The young lad just stared at u... he had the expression of 'what are you doing here?', it was real ackward. There was no welcome. I told him we have a booking for a meal.He told us that there was a wedding on and we would have to eat upstairs.We made our way to the ?make shift seating area. There was no bar staff?We later found out that ?the manager was sat at the bar drinking. There was no welcome.We stood there a bit lost as what to do. A member of staff came upstairs and did not say a word to us as she collected the drinks and she was leaving I quickly went over to her and asked if this is the restaurant for the 'groupon meal' she said yes and just left.We decided to seat ourselves and eventually another bar staff appeared and took our order.Had the chicken pate for starters and rump steak for mains.The food came quickly and the food was pretty good.What lets this place down was the staff, it appeared like no one cared, no one smiled.No one came to ask how our meal was. There was no atmosphere at all.The female bar staff who took our order was defintely having a bad day.Before leaving we had a bit of car trouble and returned to have a drink before help came.I asked what time the bar closes and was told basically 'as soon as we left'.The location is not bad, I liked the food but with service like that I wont return or recommend.

went to one of there themed saturday evening meals, only £14.95 for 3 courses, so based on value for money very good, nice dining room, well organised, family friendly, great dining experience it is not, however we went and enjoyed ourselves with our friends and would go again

The food was ok - it all seems cooked fresh and served reasonably quickly. Very basic wine selection. Service was very friendly although the waitress does the restaurant, bar and reception after about 8pm. The main problem is the atmosphere - restaurant is in a large golf clubhouse and when there are a limited number guests eating and a group of very loud golfers at the bar it seems a very strange place to eat a meal.

A favourite haunt of ours in the past for an extremely well-priced and tasty pensioners' Friday lunch selected from a good range of options, the Fingle Glen took a bit of a nose dive a few months ago. The portion sizes diminished and the service deteriorated. However, whatever caused the problem seems to have been resolved and the excellent standards of the past have been restored. Strongly recommended for a 2-course Friday pensioners' lunch and coffee at £6.95! Not a pensioner? Go anyway, you'll probably not regret it!

Tha staff overall were very pleasant and the service was spot on, no waiting between courses at all. Fantastic choice of starters, presentation was really good. When our steaks come everything was hot and the smell coming off the steaks were amazing. We ordered our steak to be cooked rare, medium rare and medium and they were ALL cooked to perfection. Puddings were fab as well, presentation again was very decorative. All in in one of the best meals I have had for some time. By reading previous reviews they must have changed there chefs, looks like this one needs keeping!The only thing this place lacks is atmosphere but everything else was really good.

We used to like eating here. The food was good, the prices were very reasonable and the staff attentive. We have frequently enjoyed the exceptional quality of the Friday pensioners' lunches (priced at only £6.50) for a main meal and a desert selected from a varied menu and followed by coffee. The occasional themed dinners have also been prepared to a high standard and inexpensive. It is therefore disappointing that the once-good service has deteriorated so badly. It is not unusual to find the staff disinterested, tables missing items like napkins, glasses etc, and long waits to be served. I can no longer recommend this as a place to eat. It seems like you only get what you pay for and no more (not even a smile!).

We were on mystery trip with twenty other people. Our lunch stop was at the Fingle Glen restaurant. It was awful. I would think the potatoes had been roasted two or three times. They tasted old and were not at all nice. I would never go there for a meal again. The vegetables were put on the table far too early, and were only warm when dished up.

Arrived on a Groupon deal and met by the waitress who just pointed to the table we were going to be sat on instead of showing us to our table. But she was at all times polite and respectful with a welcoming manner. Heating could have been turned up a notch as my legs were cold and my wife kept her jacket on for long periods of our stay. Ordered goats cheese and pate as a starter and have to say that these combined were easily the best dishes, tasty with excellent presentation. Had a rump steak and a so called ribeye steak as the main, plates were lukewarm at best and the food wasn't that hot ie was cold before I finished the meal. Found the rump tasty came with chips, couple of onion rings, mushrooms and a tomato. Offer included a sauce with the steak but for some reason this did not accompany the steak. Ribeye was as chewy as a piece of cardboard and with the same amount of flavour. Wife complained about this and the waitress did offer straight away to change or swap the meal which was to her credit which she did with my wife having another goats cheese. Drinks were slightly expensive two small wines and a pint of san miguel for £10. Good background music and staff didn't hurry you along but the ribeye let the place down badly as it was one of the toughest steaks I have ever tried, think the animal died of old age rather than at the hands of the slaughterman

An excellent buffet followed by good entertainment. Excellent atmosphere a great way to celebrate the new year. Would definitely go again.

Really unimpressed. The chef was in a bad mood, there was no atmosphere and we felt we were intruding. Food was ok, but couldn't wait to leave. Never again

We had Suday lunch here using a Groupon Voucher. It was nice that although we were on a special deal we were still offered the whole menu to choose from. The staff were very nice & polite. We really enjoyed the three course Sunday lunch.We would definatly revisit & also recommend this restaurant.

Fingle Glen Golf Hotel is situated alongside the Fingle Glen Golf Club and provides the club facilities as well as a golf shop, a beauty salon, a conference centre, a small hotel, and a bar and restaurant open to the general public.If you don't fancy a bar snack you could try one of the excellent lunches or dinners which are well prepared and presented with a smile. There is a good choice of starter, main and dessert courses all at remarkably reasonable prices. Service is very good and prompt. The restaurant have popular special pensioners' lunches on Fridays and occasional themed evening dinners (1900 - 2100). The latter can cost as little as £12.50 a head. I can recommend the food here, although the decor is a bit bland (even this is pretty good if you get a window seat with extensive views over the golf course on a nice sunny day!).If you like it enough, you can even rent one of the 24 Fairway Lodges - self-catering Norwegian log cabins - and stay a while.
