Finger Lickin' Chicken in Manchester

We ordered 1 beef burger, 5 ribs and 6 pieces of chicken, my girlfriend double checked they had ribs available (the purpose of our trip to this dyer chicken shop) to which the man confirmed, I have 5 left and confirmed they were for us! SO FAR SO GOOD! We paid, was told 10 minutes so we took a perch and my girlfriend eagerly awaited her much loved finger licking chicken ribs! Customers came in and left, to which we were very confused as we were still sat waiting. We cut the chap some slack as he was working solo but as the clock continued ticking we realised we had been sat there for half an hour. My girlfriend went over to which he questioned what our order was! We confirmed our £18.50 order and he told us he sold the ribs to a customer who ordered after us! I don’t mind waiting half an hour and cutting him some slack for working solo, but the thought process of his was crazy. Can’t believe I waiting half an hour for him to ask for my order again and let me know half of it wasn’t available. Comical. But he gave me a full refund and apologised that it was his fault so I guess I’ll let him off and I’ll move on. But my girlfriends heart is still broken over the ribs that were given to to someone AFTER us and our half an hour wait. P.s have more than 1 member of staff on a Friday night dinner time. P.s.s the interior is abysmal and dirty Overall 1/5

Cant complain about food but owner should spend some money on doing this place up. Smashed windows,ripped seats and dirty tables. Doesnt look good at all.

Chicken was stone cold. Definitely wasn't made to order.

Hot fresh food received! Definately went down a treat! Only slight negative is spicy sauce saturated the chicken, making the coating sloppy Jallopy! Please consider packing the chickeb separate from the ribs as it was sloppy mess!

The food was cold. The chips tasted like rubber. And they forget the gravy. For £25 not worth it.

Double chicken sandwich, dry as b@lls... it was a late night visit, but there was still 45 minutes until close and tbh, I couldn't tell If the chicken was a day old or a week. As for the lettuce, I think they merely shown the sandwich a picture of a lettuce, it was practically none existent. Only thing this place has going for it, is its late opening hours. Still, I wouldn't recommend it, unless absolutely nowhere else is open, and it's totally imperative that you eat immediately!

The food was nice but unfortunately the chicken popcorn was to small reminded me of KFC popcorn. I would have preferred bigger popcorn. Also more mangonise . overall everything was perfect.

Friendly service excellent prices and delicious chicken especially the hot wings never had such juicy flavourful wings, coated in a delicious sauce akin to katsu sauce.

Very slow service. The place is so rundown it looked apocalyptical - the feng shui was off. But really the chips were fried in a very grim oil, tested really bad and I couldn’t eat them.

Been coming here for over 12years but I have noticed the place is looking very dirty and the people who are serving the members of staff are reasonably polite but I have started to worry about the hygiene of the place like on there mobile phones and handling money that is very dirty of course people sneeze and wee out side before giving them money for there orders and some people even go out drinking and socialising and the people serving pick the chicken sandwich bun up with the same hand with out either washing or putting gloves on to do peoples food..I even seen one of the people serving a member of staff sneeze but he didn't sneeze over the food he turned away

Very angry 😡about ur delivery guy he dumped my food on my doorstep even tho ì answered him telling him i'm coming to the door.And also leaving my gate wide open when this disgusting disrespectful guy on entering my premises he found my gate closed

ORDERED 8 BOX OF CHICKEN ASKED FOR MIXED BREASTS + DRUMSTICKS..GOT ALL STALE DRY SKINNY BREASTS..AWFUL THEN I ORDERED A SEPARATE 2 BOX OF CHICKEN AND THEY ADDED IT TO THE 8 BOX AND WERE BOTH BREASTS..NOT WHAT I ORDERED.GRAVY A JOKE

Order was missing 5 spicy wings, all the ‘crunchy’ chicken skin was soggy and when attempting to call, the phone number didn’t work so there was no way to contact them. Upon complaining via just eat I was unable to send photos of the soggy chicken and have still not received a reply with regards to the missing items. I ordered take away to avoid any hassle as I feel unwell and this has caused hassle. I ended up cooking.

Ordered two 1 piece chicken meals got them fine and a chicken burger meal which also came in fine but i also ordered a chicken nugget meal and they have 4 pieces of chips and 2 spicy wings in a box and gave another chicken burger instead.

However there are 5 wings missing.

This is the best seasoned fried chicken I have eaten around Manchester. I will definitely order again

I went in at about 6pm and ordered a chicken fillet sandwich with chips and drink. It cost £6.60. The seseme seeded bun was fresh with mayonnaise and salad and the fillet was coated, fried and then dipped in chilli sauce. The chips were perfectly cooked and salted, all served in a carton with a chilled pepsi. My only moan was way too much mayonnaise but I will return and do this all over again as it was quite nice.

Chicken burgers were fantastic! Decent enough spice to them and tasted good quality. Chicken gravy wasn't good and not recommended - quite watery and bland. But we did get a few free wings included presumably because we ordered late in the day. Will definitely order again!

gravy had spilt all over bag and the boxes so boxes were falling apart and stuck together,,huge puddle of gravy..tops not put on properly..well I call it gravy more like dish water..it just looked like thin grey water..

Came in this food shop today at 2.30pm ordered chicken sandwich meal. Which is on a lunchtime offer and was charged full price for it. When I questioned it the man had the check to say that's for the school kids. I think you will find that kids are at school between 11am and 3pm. The food was nasty anyway I won't be ordering from here again

I randomly find this chicken shop and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and affordability. I ordered a box of chicken and was blown away by the generous portions and delicious flavors. For just £5.5, I got a great deal! The shop is clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and efficient. I have been going here for 20 years. In the past 3 months the owners of Kansas have bought this place. The old man behind the counter needs to retire bless him. Be can't handle Deliveroo, Uber, Just Eat and shop customers order coming through. I have just be charged £20 and nothing is edible. Look at the picture. You should not steal customers money like this.

Everything felt and tasted like it had been sat in the warming oven for a very long time, nothing tasted fresh. Just very dry, the spicy sauce was excellent though!

I had previously left a bad review due to new owners, they have since been taken over again and everything is back as it should be. The wings are back to the size they're supposed to be, and the hot sauce tastes how it's meant to. If you give up on this place, go back.

I’ve been eating here for years but today will be my last visit sadly! They no longer have their famous home made hot sauce and garlic Mayo 😭 yet they have shop bought garlic Mayo and some weird mint “spicy” sauce which wasn’t spicy at all, would’ve been better on a lamb dinner. Gutted is an understatement. Bring back the old sauces and recipes pls 🙏🏼

The fried chicken is decent, one of my favourite from Manchester. Oh and we have to talk about the garlic mayonnaise too, they mixed it themselves and it has the right amount of spice kick to it, just the way I like it. Returned so many times just because of their garlic mayo game.

Went in about 11 o clock in the day, n overweight man behind wearing very thick glasses was chatting to his friend on the phone about his football game. This went on for about 10 minutes every thirty seconds he looked from behind the food counter to see if I was still there. I waited and waited then eventually he got the sense to serve a customer after all he was at work, he looked down at me through his very thick glasses and shouted, " YES! ".... I didnt know why he had such a mean look on his face. The food tasted off and the smell of the old oil really stunk. Never again.
