Really lovely food, great atmosphere. The only thing I would mention is if you have anyone who has accessibly issues you would need to tell them when booking as upstairs is up some metal quite steep stairs. Otherwise food, drink and staff were great.

Overall poor service from the young male waiter I had to repeat the issues several times and all I got was "what?" Main course was the chicken gyro the chicken was more like dry scraps which were crunchy and more like cardboard (I bet cardboard would be more tender!). I had one mouthful and left it all eventually the waiter arrived asked how it was and I told him the food was appaling, I'll tell the chef no apology. I was offered a free desert, I think a more appropriate answer would have been ok we won't charge you but obviously not , I had to go to the bar to request a bill as we were basically ignored after I complained whilst other customers were getting free shots of alcohol on the table next to us!!!

We had a lovely family meal. All the dishes we had were lovely and reminded my daughter and her husband of their recent honeymoon in the Greek Islands. Service was quick and the restaurant was very busy which made for a great atmosphere.

You are very expensive, with not alot in the plate! I would like to see Chili con carne in your menu. And a couple of English dishes please. More mince meat dishes, rice dishes . And perhaps a pasta dish.

Popped in for some Greek food over Sunday lunch after driving past this restaurant many times and it was absolutely insanely good - the food, beer and service was 10/10. We will definitely be back and I’m so glad it’s a lovely local venue!

This is possibly the 7th time we have visited this Restaurant and once again the food was fantastic , service was great as always. My wife had Moussaka and I had the Gyros which was a huge meal especially as we shared a starter before hand. I have read a review that says they are expensive and wants Chilli Con Carne and pasta on the menu, really, mate if you want cheap food with Chilli and pasta go to the George, a Wetherspoons pub just across the square. This is a Greek restaurant ! My only gripe is when you offer customers a complementary drink please offer Ouzo😁 . We are visiting again on Mother’s Day, already looking forward to it.

Visited on a Friday evening, and glad we booked a table. When we arrived there was just one other table occupied but the restaurant filled up quickly. We were tempted by the meze but on a previous visit remembered the portions were large! Started off with three dips; hummus, tzatziki and a feta and yoghurt dip with plenty of warm pita bread. Then the mains. OMG. Husband’s moussaka came with chips, rice and salad! My mixed gyros was piled high on another pita, with a very generous portion of chips and a side salad. Unfortunately we couldn’t finish it all (and took some home for the next day’s lunch). The manager looked stricken but we explained it was just too much food for us. The bottle of house wine was a decent Pinot Grigio at a very fair price. The food was very good and the staff young and friendly.

For a restaurant that claims to be Vegetarian and Vegan friendly I was a bit dismayed at being presented with Calamari as my vegetarian option as part of a Meze meal. I left at that point having no faith left that the chef had the first clue what being vegetarian meant. The most expensive hummus, olives and halloumi night out I've ever had.

We had a great post-Christmas family meal at Filotimo. Great service and plentiful food.

Great place, family atmosphere and top-class service. The fact that Greek music is playing in the background adds a great atmosphere. When it comes to food, this is without a doubt the best Greek restaurant in the UK I've ever eaten at. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Our first time at Filotimo after a friend’s recommendation. The dining area downstairs is unassuming, and casual. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent. It’s always served with rice fries and salad, which is a great accompaniment for most dishes. Portion sizes were generous. Quality was excellent. Overall we had a lovely evening at a reasonable price. Also offered a free shot of ouzo at the end of our meal.We will definitely be back.

We have known about this place for sometime. Finally a window to visit. An unassuming exterior but once inside the smells of Greek food hit you hard. Greeted and sat by a friendly host, our orders taken and wow what a feast! Amazing vegetarian options and the Gyros were amazing. Flavoursome and plenty to feed the biggest appetite! The only niggle was being sat by a family with young children who were clearly enjoying the food and making a little mess - but then again isn’t this what family time and amazing food is all about. Maybe separate family’s and couples? We left full, and happy from the dining experience! See you again soon.

We ate with friends and were absolutely blown away with this place. Great good, great wine and great service! Scarlett really looked after us. A reasonably priced menu, we all had three courses with wine and water and were not shocked by the bill. I throughly recommended this place, we will definitely be back!

On Sunday we were with the family at the restaurant for a birthday dinner. The place was recommended to me by friends and I can honestly say I do not regret this decision! At first I had concerns about the kitchen, whether it would be real Greek cuisine. 30 years ago, I lived in Greece for 2 years and I really liked the cuisine, so I was wondering if a restaurant in the middle of England could do that?! And I felt like then, those unforgettable flavors returned. I can recommend this restaurant with all my heart if someone wants to taste Greece. The only downside of this dinner was the service, namely the young girl behind the bar should smile more, because she gave the impression that she was there as a punishment, fortunately, the food defended itself and covered this minus. It is a pity that I did not meet the owners or at least the person responsible for such delicious food, maybe next time because I will definitely go back there. I chanced upon this restaurant when stopping for dinner in Sandbach and it was a very lucky find. The food brought out many flavours, the waitress was very kind, there was a good and calm atmosphere, and I did not have to wait for a table. I definitely recommend it for anyone searching for a restaurant in Sandbach. Note, however, that the menus serve as placemats!

This restaurant is a small Greek gem in north-western England! I did not know about it until I stopped in Sandbach, looking for dinner, on my way from Liverpool to Walsall. The food was flavoursome and prepared to a high standard and the waitress was very kind. One must remember, however, that the menus are also placemats!

First visit. Just returned from lindos in Rhodes. So wanted some Greek food. Weren't disappointed.

This come recommended, Catered for my daughter gluten free. Lovely food, just to much of it, over faced us a bit. Think they need to look at portion control. Drinks service bit slow. Needs greek background music for a better atmosphere. Food very nice tho'.

Understandably, Filotimo is getting quite busy on occasions. This restaurant is a firm favorite of ours and the food is delicious. Very good wines on offer at quite reasonable prices. Look forward to our next visit.

Out 2nd time eating here, it won't be our last authentic Greek food. I had the spetsofai for starter and that is one of the best starters I've had in a long time, I would have this as a main if that's on the menu next time. For main I had stifado and the meat was very tender on my previous visit I had the kleftico which is my favourite Greek dish and that was very good but I wanted to try a different main this time and I was not disappointed. We went as 2 couples all had a starter mains and desserts with 2 rounds of drinks and it came to a very reasonably £140

Lovely experience with great service in a relaxed atmosphere. There were many vegetarian appetizers and mains to choose from, all of which were bigger portions than expected, moderately priced, and very flavourful. May be helpful to prebook if going at a busier time. Very lovely time and would go back if in the area again.

Nice Greek food. On the downside, the starters (such as tzatziki, tyrokafteri etc.) are just tiny little portions, so I wouldn't recommend them. The food is tasty and the mains portions are good, however slightly overpriced.

Authentic Greek Cuisine and great service. Booked for a Birthday treat. Been to Greece and surrounding isles several times over the years and have always loved the traditional dishes so it was a pleasure to discover this little gem. There were 4 of us eating and starters consisted of prawns in garlic, dolmades, creamy garlic mushrooms and a spicy sausage dish and all were lovely. For mains we had Moussaka, Stifado and a couple of Kleftikos. All of the dishes were authentic and tasty and everything was reasonably priced for the quality. The mains came with a shared collection of rice, seasoned fries and salad, a fair share was still left over as we were all full. Including a bottle of wine and coffees for after, the cost pp was around £27 which I feel was well worth it. Highly recommended if in the area and you like Greek cuisine.

So this is an update from my previous review. We have since eaten here multiple times and not only is the food great but their service is excellent. The one time bad review was unfortunate and every takeaway or dine in experience has been top notch.

Visited again with family however despite the food being good the service was poor the waiting on staff were non attentive and void of personality no banter had to ask for things also why they think sitting at a table made of pallets is ideal I dont know not as good as our last visit

Had the most delicious meal at Filotimo! They were able to give us a table at short notice and when we arrived they greated us with a lovely warm welcome. Food was delicious and clearly fresh, accompanied by a lovely carafe of house white. Hope to have a return visit sometime soon!

As Greeks we have finally found authentic Greek food in UK. The food was exceptional and the service even better with authentic nice people who really took care of us. We loved the decor and the music. We have tasted some of the best starters and the mains were to die for. The fried feta with honey is one of the best things I have ever tasted when it comes to cheese. An amazing restaurant, this will definitely be a go to restaurant for us!

Wow! What a meal! Unbelievable taste and flavour. Service was excellent, warm welcome, attentive, fresh cutlery between starters and mains without having to ask (sounds small but it is often overlooked), checked twice that food was nice, were we ready for our mains etc... menu had a nice range that left us struggling as we wanted to try everything. Had the mushrooms, saganaki cheese and feta pie as starters all equally delicious, followed by moussaka and halloumi skewers, only regret is I couldn't finish the plate, perfectly prepared, the pitta bread with starters was warm and fresh. After a trip to Birmingham today we decided we didn't want to stop at the services so jumped off at sandbatch to see where we could stop for tea. First place we come across was filotimo what a fantastic place extremely friendly staff spotless inside. we both had the mixed gyro and it was fantastic taste was unbelievable and a massive portion size had to get a box to have the left overs for when I got home. I would highly recommend will definitely try and visit again if passing. Just wish it was in my village.

Went out on Date night, thought we would try greek food for a change. Was not disappointed. Location was ok Restaurant was very nice inside trying to give a greek feel. Staff very helpful, understanding, polite. Food was amazing. Price was very reasonable for quality of food. Would I go back yes I would. Only down side it seemed to take a while from starter to main, I would put that down them being very busy.

Unassuming Greek restaurant but with great service and food. It was a birthday meal for four adults and a nine year old fussy eater. We had the meze for four which was served in groups of dishes over a couple of hours. Good variety, plenty in each portion and tasty, tasty, tasty! Washed down with a mixture of bottled beer and house wine, all of which was perfect. If you like Greek food (from your visits on holiday) or if you just fancy trying it for something different, this is a great place to try. Enjoy!
