This is such a cool venue (and surprisingly easy to reach from SW London!). We were guests at a private musical function and enjoyed cosy pre drinks in the intimate lower ground room, then came up to street level for the live music and supper. The staff were charming, the food extremely tasty (and modest portions) and the whole evening a stylish and delightful event

Fantastic evening listening to live jazz in a relaxed and intimate venue. Such great value for money - what a wonderful evening of entertainment for just £12. We were also massively impressed with the food - from the beautifully seasoned bowl of olives through to the rare cooked chimichuri steak. A real treat - reasonably priced and efficiently served

We had the pleasure in Fidelio's hosting our yearly client party. They went above and beyond and i would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them.

I first visited Fidelio in 2020 and have been back many times. In April this year I organised my husband’s 40th birthday party and it was an enormous success! Raffaello, Ash and the staff went the extra mile and helped with every thoughtful detail (and also diligently helped me keep to my budget!) and Matt’s cooking was a dream. I’ve been receiving thanks and compliments from guests ever since the party so all I can say is don’t miss out on this place, you won’t regret it! And they also organise world class concerts!

Passing through London, I went to this cafe twice to work and do business meetings with clients. The place is super nice, there are classical music which is very pleasant. The staff is charming and discreet which is a perfect place to concentrate. I loved this place that I recommend 100%. The food is also excellent, as are the hot drinks. I would definitely come back when I'll Come back to London.

We took a risotto with saffron, zucchini and Parmesan cheese and tagliatelle with meat slowly cooked in red whine. Food is superb both in the choice of ingredients and in the interpretation of the recipes. We are Italian and don’t remember having eaten such good versions of these two classical of our cuisine. The location is very nice!

What an experience last night at the Fidelio Café! An opportunity that only this incredible venue can offer, and something one should really never miss. And what a lecture, given by Filippo Gorini, this 26 years old pianist offering not only an impeccable technique and many subtleties of interpretation, but also a deep knowledge of Bach and in particular of its final masterpiece. His discussion of the Art of the Fugue wasn’t just interesting, it was breathtaking, a series of increasingly varied movies taken during the most complex musical journey created by Johann Sebastian Bach. A concert lasting a bit less than 90 minutes, a rational, almost complete, analysis of the text. And the setting was just perfect for such journey, an intimate space for the forty lucky music lovers, a few meters away from the keyboard and the powerful vibration sent through our bodies by the Steinway grand. And yet, at the same time, open to the outside world of the traffic in the heart of the great city, buses, taxis, pedestrians, cyclists rushing home from office, someone stopping for many minutes out of the large, greenhouse-like windows, nodding and humming at the pace of the pianist fingers. We were literally in tears with emotion. And soon after, meeting and dining (excellent dinner, by the way, and great wines to accompany the whole evening!) with the pianist and with the creator and owner of the Fidelio Café, this incredible, handsome and gentle, tall young man, pianist, physicist, mathematician, founder and conductor of the Fidelio Orchestra, who can conduct Mahler’s Titan and brew coffees, play Beethoven’s 111 and serve your dinner, as well as unravelling for you all the details of Brahms piano concertos or piano trios. All with the same irresistible smiling kindness. In three words only, Dr. Raffaello Morales. The most interesting character I’ve ever met.

My first visit to this classical music venue in a restaurant setting. It’s a stunning space and Charles Owen offered a powerfully affecting account of the Goldberg Variations - both anguishing, uplifting and enlightening. The dinner was a feast: the menu (scallops, stuffed poussin and crème brûlée) perfectly balanced and cooked to perfection. It was a very special evening and we shall return!

Wow, what a wonderful experience for the Schubert concert with a 4 course meal with an aperitif and nibbles. The music was amazing, the singer was incredible and I found it very moving. The outside noise can be a little distracting but it didn’t spoil anything. Food was delicious and very filling - it’s pre-chosen by the chef. Good options available on the wine menu, I can recommend the valpo or the chianti. The staff were great, particularly the young man with the ring in his ear, he was so friendly and he made us laugh. The owner came to chat with us and when he found out that we had came from Glasgow especially for the event for our anniversary he insisted on treating us to a complimentary drink of whatever we wanted. Couldn’t have asked for a better evening!

Absolutely fantastic. I cannot praise this little gem of a place highly enough. I am going to give a detailed review which will point out a few things that are not perfect - but I want to be clear from the outset that this place was superb and if I lived closer, I’d visit as often as I could afford it. First, yes it is relatively expensive. However, £200 for a dinner for two (not including wine although it does include an aperitif) and a classical concert in London is actually about average. Think of a ticket at the Proms, Covent Garden or the Barbican. Then think of the average cost of a meal somewhere nice. Multiply by two. You’ll not be far off a £200 price tag. For food, there were delicious olives and some nuts at each table, to go with the prosecco aperitif. The starter is served prior to the performance - homemade sourdough, a herby butter and smoked garlic. Then you have the performance in this delightful, intimate setting, with mood lighting and only a handful of other tables. Then dinner is served. We saw Schubert’s Winterreise and we were enrapt during all 24 songs. Now, there is noise outside. This is not a soundproofed concert hall. There was an ambulance, a police car, a truck and once or twice a few loud punters from bars nearby managed to make themselves heard. But it did not dent the atmosphere at all. Simply acknowledge this before you book tickets and it won’t detract from any pleasure you take in the performance. Because despite all of this, a bottle of great wine, candles on every table, subdued lighting and somehow the outside world just fades away. You’ll be elsewhere, as I was, with the performers, in whatever you happen to go to see. After the performance, dinner is served up. This had the odd slip up; the menu advertised a vegetarian and non-vegetarian main and we were each served both. Not that we were complaining, both were excellent but as the menu said one OR the other, we were at a loss. The delicious steak onglet was wonderfully rare and no one asked how we wanted it cooked, so that worked for me but might not for others; if you have strong feelings, speak up because the guys that run this place really care for those who are supporting what can only guess is a business built on love of the music. On the subject of how we were treated, everyone was extremely friendly and one guy in particular - I didn’t catch his name but he was working the drinks bar by the door when we came in - welcomed us, pointed out the Maitre D’ and followed up with us at our table because the bar closes during the performance, so that we were able to order a bottle. All of the staff were welcoming and - completely unexpectedly - because we were there on an anniversary trip, the manager, with whom I got talking about Schubert, insisted that we have a free drink. Needless to say we left a substantial tip that was thoroughly well deserved. It was a really special night for us and I fervently hope to be back, probably in the new year or any time I’m in London for work, since I live in Glasgow.

£100/person may seem like a steep night out for most of us but honestly, it's worth going without food for a week to come here. Raffaello Morales, who owns and runs the cafe, is a handsome, charismatic pianist and conductor who, on the night we were there, gave an introduction to the music which was one of the best parts of the evening -- along with the excellent food and intimate atmosphere. But the best thing of all was the extraordinary quality of the playing, and the fact that you're not sitting 100 feet away -- but 2, or six, or 10 -- from really extraordinary musicians. In our case, a violinist I'd never heard of, but when I phoned my violinist friend, she said "Go! Mathilde Milwidsky is fantastic." Which she was. FANTASTIC. It was a night we'll never forget. And we're going again. As often as we can without going bankrupt.

We have been to Fidelio several times over the last few months. The quality of the music has been outstanding and it is a privilege to hear such great musicians play in surroundings which are as relaxed and intimate as Fidelio. The staff are super-friendly and helpful with excellent food. All in all, a truly excellent place to hear classical music and a great all round experience.

Lovely atmosphere in this quaint restaurant. Greeted with a glass of Prosecco and a warm smile. Staff were very helpful and engaging. Enjoyed an hour of a wonderfully intimate recital with Guy Johnston, cellist. That alone was worth the price of the tickets! Starters served at 9pm. The 3 courses which were basic but nice enough - but it’s not really the food you go here for. It is a set menu and if you didn’t like fish- you would have been a bit snookered on the night we attended. Had a chat with the artist afterwards - though I’m sure not all would be as friendly. Well done guys- keep going!

I remember on a Friday evening in November, waiting for the spring roll we saw a nice looking guy putting chairs back to the shop. The following week we went back to check what that shop was. Found out it was a very pleasant and cheerful coffee shop, the Terra Nera itself. Since than almost every week, almost at the same time we went back to have our coffees (sometimes teas). Try all the coffees but I have only one word for Marocchino: HEAVEN.

First time in a dog cafe with my friend and her pooch. We loved it. The food was great for both human and pooch. The menu online was small, but much bigger in the cafe. We had avo on sourdough and it was delicious, especially that cashew/coriander cream. Our pooch had bangers and mash, she definitely enjoyed it. They also have a really cute little area where you can take photos of your dog and there’s also a few props in there…love it! Overall we had a great time, with great service. We’ll be back.

Visited their newly opened second branch. Excellent authentic Turkish food so fresh and delicious so happy to discover this new local restaurant no longer do I need to travel far to eat this type of food. Attentive staff all very friendly family run and they have another branch in North London that’s very well known and has been established for many years I’m so pleased they have opened in the area no doubt they are going to be very successful. I can’t wait to take family and friends there. I highly recommend if you love authentic Turkish food or if you have not tried Turkish before then you will not be disappointed.
