I’ve been several times with my walking group and it’s one of my favourite places to stop! Always welcoming and the food is fresh and delicious. I’m told the scones are the best around (and we visit a lot of tearooms!) They are always very accommodating when I message to book for walkers, reserved for 10 persons the other day! Most recently I had the tuna melt panini and it’s amazing. I’d recommend booking if you want to be sure of a table at this popular tea room.

Terrible customer service. Visited with my daughter during her lunch break from work. Went to the till and was asked if I was takeaway or seated. Replied seated and was told they would come to my table to take the order. We waited and waited and eventually they went to a table near us and took their order. No acknowledgment that they would be with us soon. So again we waited and waited. 2 other people came in and wanted takeaways and they were served immediately. We then left the premises. So I am unable to comment on the quality of the drinks or food as having waited for a good 20-25 minutes we left to go elsewhere. A shame as the cafe looked inviting but the staff really need to communicate with the customers (or maybe they just didn’t like the look of us!). Even if it’s just to say they would be with us soon. I have to say it wasn’t overrun with customers either. I will definitely not be going in again

My wife & I often walk from Hessle Foreshore to North Ferriby & back. A walk of approximately 6 miles. When in North Ferriby we have always used this coffee shop for refreshments. However this time we visited it & the previous time we have been unhappy with the attitude of the lady who takes our order. As we only wanted a green tea & a coffee we placed the order but couldn't order any cakes as they didn't have any gluten free ones, despite the menu saying that they did. The lady taking the order, as the previous time we visited, wasn't happy that we only wanted drinks. The look on her face said it all! Disappointing if you are disapproving of your customers whatever they order to let your feelings show in your face. They were not busy so we weren't taking up a table that someone with a bigger order could have used. Not happy & won't be going again.

I visited Ferriby's yesterday and had a Pot of Tea and Tea Cake, the Tea was like 'Dish Water' and the Tea Cake burnt! It amazes me how 'they' are unable to provide a nice cup of Tea and they managed to Burn a Tea Cake. What amazes me even more is the fact it was served to me and I can only assume I was expected to ignore it and not complain, which I didn't at the time. I won't be going here again!

After walking along the river bank from Hessle to North Ferriby my wife & I wanted some refreshment so walked through North Ferriby to this coffee house. On entering the shop we were greeted by the staff & asked what we would like. We had 2 coffees & 2 pieces of cake. The coffee is the best in the village & the cakes are always fresh & very tasty. This was our second visit & we will return again when next doing the river walk.

Booked our table and was really looking forward to going. Had to read a board for the menu which meant getting up to look as couldn't see most of the board, get there is no menus for obvious reasons but maybe a throw away one would of been better as it would easily go on 1 sheet. All of us wanted a jacket potato as the menu was mainly sandwiches, fry up and panisis.. No jackets were ready which threw us all as that was really the main offering and what we all had decided on. We asked how long they would be and got told longer then you would be sitting there!!. Mmmm.. To be fair the place was lovely, but the service seemed a little uncomfortable.. Didn't even get asked if everything was OK which takes seconds to do. Unfortunately won't be going again.

We booked for afternoon tea for 4. We also had 1 veggie with us. The staff were very welcoming and at the food was wonderful, all freshly made with both a hot and cold selection, they were very accommodating as our veggie has food intolerances too and they sorted it too. This may sound a little greedy but when we first saw the selection com out one of the men did say that only looks enough for 2, well how mistaken was he there was more than enough as we took home 2 takeaway boxes too. I would suggest you book though as it is only a small cost place but a gem now we have found it

Stopped here on our way out of Hull after a night stay over. Definitely glad we chose not to have breakfast in the hotel! My partner had beans on toast, I had a Brie, Bacon and Cranberry toastie which came with homemade coleslaw, a little salad and some crisps. We had two drinks (milkshake float and a teapot) and two slices of cake and it all came to under £20. Really lovely environment with friendly staff who clearly knew a lot of their customers as regulars! Would definitely recommend as a lovely little cafe for breakfast or other light bites.

Literally seconds as we walked into the cafe we were followed by groups of people transforming the place from a quiet refuge to a busy cafe. The cafe has been re-furbished and the new decor has livened the place up and made it a lot more interesting with more of a cottage feel than before. The staff are always warm, welcoming and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. There is a great menu selection and the cakes are horribl.........y nice, too nice for my waistline, but I treat myself anyway. The furniture has been upgraded too and is very comfortable. Ferribys is a delightful little tea shop ( and more) situated in North ferriby, just west of Hull. Lovely old premises with decor perhaps best described as shabby chic ? Very friendly owners- both premises and people are very welcoming. Great selection of homemade cakes on display and whilst menu is not particularly extensive , it offers some great choices for breakfast, light lunch, afternoon tea. The afternoon tea is superb - freshly made quiche, scones , mini welsh rarebit, wonderful strawberry shortcake and a cup cake. 4 different kinds of petite sandwich fillings on brown and white bread. - tasted delicious and looked great , presented on a lovely cake stand. Perfect mix of sweet and savoury. The only downside was the ham which was not best quality and was wet, thin and tasteless. However that can be forgiven because the overall afternoon tea experience was great!

My neighbour recommended North Ferriby’s Coffee shop and suggested using a Groupon which we did. So afternoon tea cost us £14 for two instead of £18. It is often very worthwhile using Groupon but you can get even more of a saving on occasional special days when the price drops further to £12. Worth look out for these! You need to pre-book for afternoon tea on 01482 632959 when you will be given an indication of what you will be eating from the helpful lady. At this point you can request revisions if you have dietary needs. The coffee shop is situated in North Ferriby at 27, Low Street. We came from Beverley and you need to watch the roads as you approach Ferriby. Some of them are rather narrow but also one way. Parking is on the street on a slight hill and may not always be easy.

My partner and I regularly visit this coffee house for a Sunday breakfast and we are never disappointed. The atmosphere is lovely and welcoming and the staff are fantastic. The tea and coffee are great and we rarely leave without taking a cake or two home for later! The pretty and cosy décor inside makes it the perfect place to relax with some good food and drink. If you're in Ferriby you have to try it.

We have been several times and always come away thinking how fantastic this place could be. It's so nearly there in a lot of ways. Presentation of the food is always good but it's sometimes a bit bland. We had quiche with wedges and salad. The quiche was only lukewarm, was it meant to be hot or cold. Plus the salad had no dressing on it. I love salad but even I found it boring. Just a bit of olive oil, balsamic vinegar could make it really good. Service is always friendly but one thing we don't like is coming out and our clothes smelling of fat laden air. It's really off putting and happened every time we've been.

Myself and 2 friends visited North Ferriby for a football match. Places to eat were very scarce. Having asked a local where to eat they told us where to go. Having found Ferriby's Coffee house, we all ordered a cheese salad and 2 teas and a coffee. The food when it arrived was plentiful and nicely presented. While there we noticed people having afternoon tea. Sandwiches and cakes plentiful. Our salad was very good value for £6.00. If you live in or visit North Ferriby this place is well worth a visit

My mother and I really enjoyed the afternoon tea at Ferribys. The food was lovely (the cheese scones were beautiful) and there was plenty of it. The service was very good too, definitely worth a visit.

Pleasant ambiance, helpful staff. Recommend the full afternoon tea but you need a good appetite and a walk up Swanland Hill afterwards. Pity there is no scope for outside seating.

A gem of a cafe, lovely staff, quality food. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, even making up a takeaway salad box and a sandwich to be collected later. Plus the cafe is dog friendly....

We visited over Easter and loved all the little chocolate eggs hidden around the cafe - kept the kids entertained whilst they waited for their food! Lovely cafe with a great menu. We ordered a range of different food but loved the halloumi burger and cheeseburger especially. It’s great that dogs are allowed in this cafe but as we don’t own a dog, even better that there are two areas - one for dogs and one where dogs aren’t allowed. Service was quick and with a smile, reasonably priced too for restaurant quality food. The only improvement needed is the toilet area - could do with a update!

Stuck a pin in a ( google) map to find a breakfast one hour away from leaving holiday accommodation. What a find. Interesting decor showed off the home made cakes and savouries whilst we waited a few minutes for a table. Breakfast avocado with poached eggs on sourdough bread, sun dried tomatoes, chorizo and pea shoots was divine and substantial. Staff were friendly and obviously enjoyed serving and cooking as much as we enjoyed eating. Make a detour. Worth every mile and every penny.
